  • Audio Config" problem after upgrading to 7.6

I have only had my ipod one week. It is working beautifully. My problem is that I can no longer charge it or add songs to it because I can not open itunes. The previous version worked beautifully on my computer. After I upgraded to 7.6, it stopped working and I get an Audio Config. problem everytime I try to open it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it does not help. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

I have had my ipod a few weeks - but have nothing but problems letting itunes run the syncing, sometime it works and sometimes it does not. I had to reset my ipod 2 times already just to keep song on here, should have gone with Zune or Sonys (what my wife has) they are not having a single issue...

  • Many syncing and e-mail problems.

Hi folks, lots of syncing and e-mail problems here:
Syncing: My phone won't sync iCal (it tells me my phone is disconnected), my safari bookmarks or my email accounts. I've been through the threads here, tried resetting iSync, tried deleting calendars and resetting to 10 days instead of 30 -- still no luck. For e-mail, initially iTunes saw the e-mail accounts but did not sync theml. I tried the one-time advance settings and now it's not even seeing the accounts and still not syncing them. and for Safari, no luck with the bookmarks at all even thought the check-box is checked.
Also, the iPhone won't receive e-mail from any of my POP accounts, even the one I set by hand (because none of the settings synced.) I used the same settings that I have on my desktop, but no luck. I use RoadRunner, so I know I can't send off it. But I went to the genius bar today and they told me to just leave the SMTP server field blank and I should be able to receive, but all I get on wi-fi and edge is a message that says, "Cannot Get Mail, the connection to the server "pop-xxxxxx etc" failed." even on my home netowrk, with five bars, it can't seem to connect. (btw, it does seem to be working properly on my .Mac account, but I don't use that account for most of my correspondence.)
As far as the sync problems, the genius bar told me to reinstall iTunes, which I did with the new update that just came out this evening. Still no luck.
any thoughts? bum phone? some setting I'm not catching? any help would be appreciated.

You will find the iPhone will freak out over any kind of perceived data corruption. Calendars seem to the worst for this (windows or mac)
Test in a new user and try sending info in each direction. If it works - then your phone works fine.
Other users have reported having to basically copy the contents of their calendars into a sticky or text edit window. delete the calendars and create brand new ones. they then just transfer the data back.

  • Sync is currently experiencing problems

In android,Sync is not working. I've paired successfully my device but then every time I try to sync IIreceive the message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly"
I've checked the sync servers and they are fine.
IIonly have this version (the latest) of Firefox in my phone.
Previous version was working, and beta and nightly weren't working neither.
    Thanks.

    Hi.
Now Sync is working. Finally I've figured out what was happening. Viewing the saved passwords of the Desktop Firefox, I saw that the mozilla account's password had two strange symbols instead the letter "ñ" so I changed the pass for a new one without that letter and the synchronization started working in every device.
And that's all, an issue with the letter ñ when Firefox stores the password.
    Regards.

  • HT201412 Voice Memos quits/can no longer sync iphone 4 - linked problem

Voice Memos quits after two seconds of opening AND can no longer sync phone iphone4 to itunes, tried resetting, but don't want to restore phone to factory settings as I have important recordings I want to use. Help!!
I've taken itunes off computer and downloaded it again (suggested by other forum). No joy...
The two problems seemed to happen simultaneously.

diesel vdub - thanks for your comment.
    As noted in my post:
"Another problem is that I have thousands of music files on my iPhone, and only 180 songs are now showing up in the iTunes library. The majority of songs in both iTunes library and the music library on my iPhone are not purchased - they come from a large CD collection."
The hesitation comes from the fact that the number of songs that show up in my iTunes library is a small percentage of the number songs that were previously in the iTunes library.  My understanding is that if I sync the content of my iTunes library to the iPhone, I will end up losing thousands of songs that are currently on my iPhone but not in iTunes.
If I could find where the other songs went (and why iTunes is no longer seeing those song files) then perhaps I could load those back into iTunes and the risk of syncing will disappear.

  • Sync with outlook (calendar problem)

I used to sync and everything was all right, but now (I don't know after what) everything syncs but my calendar. I use microsoft outlook 2003 and all my app.s are up to date.
Now, contacts are syncing but not calendar. any ideas? I am going insane...
    thx..

At times, Outlook's pst file can become corrupt for one reason or another. This can cause issues when you are syncing to the iPhone. Look at this link from Microsoft in regards to running a check on the pst file to repair any problems you may have.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227
Once you run that, try another sync. If it still won't sync, you may have to go into iTunes preferences and reset the sync history and try again. That will usually correct the problems that can occur. Also, make sure you have all of the pertinent updates to both XP and Office 2003.

  • [SOLVED]Xorg.conf, mouse config problem

The Rapoo M765 mouse can not work properly under normal mouse configuration.
The mouse goes beyond controll when config as below:
    hacksign@XSign [14:13:13] : ~
    >> cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-mouse-acceleration.conf
    #Section "InputClass"
    # Identifier "Mouse2"
    # MatchProduct "RAPOO RAPOO 2.4G Remote Mouse"
    # MatchIsPointer "yes"
    # MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
    # Driver "mouse"
    # Option "Protocol" "auto"
    # Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"
    # Option "Buttons" "7"
    # Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 6 7"
    #EndSection
When there is no any configuration, the mouse can work abnormally. Movement and right/left click work fine, but I can not use scroll wheel, and the "go forward"&"go backward" mouse key can not work too.
(I know Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" is the configuration of scroll wheel emulation.)
The real problem is 'mouse beyond controll',the cursor goes crazyly on screen ....
I guess it is something wrong of ButtonMapping option. But when I tried to get button number from command xev, when scroll wheel scrolles, I get something below(the scroll wheel movement is identified as a key event~):

    Thanks for reply !
change Driver 'mouse' to Driver 'evdev',solved cursor goes beyond controll problem.
but I still can not use scroll button and 'go forward'&'go backward' button.
(BTW:evdev_drv.so is from local/xf86-input-evdev-trackpoint, and local/xf86-input-evdev-trackpoint package is from AUR)
I think, maybe something wrong with my button number mapping, but I still can not get scroll button number with 'xev' command....

You should not use the mouse driver (old deprecated driver) but evdev. Try to remove xf86-input-mouse and xf86-input-keyboard (same as before, this is deprecated and handled by evdev) and remove also a "joystick" driver if you have it (I have had problem with it conflicting with the evdev driver).

  • ITunes sync to my iphone problems.

I just got an iphone 4 this past week, and I'll start by saying that I previously had an ipod Touch and these problems I have never had with it.
So when I go into iTunes with my phone synced in, I go into my music folder of my iphone(via iTunes on the PC), not iTunes library. When I edit anything in here, whether it is fixing an album name or artist name or whatever, it won't make those changes on my iphone. After I fix something, it shows it updating and syncing to account for those fixes, but when I go into my iphone itself, nothing has changed. It will delete and add songs fine, but fixes it just won't do. So what I have to do is delete the songs I want to edit first, then go into my iTunes library, fix them there and then re-add them. I also have my phone setup to manualy manage music, so I know it not a problem with any automatic syncs with my library.
Also, I have a secondary problem, not really related, but still kind of. But whenever I edit anything, or add or delete music, or just anything I make the smallest change to that it will sync to my iphone, at the top of itunes where it shows it syncing, it will also quickly go through the same 75 songs saying that they are copying. It is a quick few seconds every time it does it, but its really irritating. Even if I simply just change like one letter of a song name, it does it, and it does it no matter even when it isn't one of those 75 particular songs that I am even editing. It does it really fast, so its impossible to notice which each of those 75 they are, but I do manage to notice some of them each time, so I knew its always the same ones. Ive noticed that these songs it shows are songs that I have purchased. But I don't know what is special about them in particular since I have 152 purchased songs in total.
Thanks to anyone who wants to take a stab at trying to figure out what the crap is going on.
BTW. my iPhone started out on 5.0.1, then just today updated to 5.1, but these problems happed before and after I updated.

Well, that's very simple.  iTunes simply does not update the information in the library simply because it was edited in the file.  Do the editing within iTunes.
As for the other issue, it's a non-issue.  Simply ignore it.

  • Aperture 3 Syncing to iPhone/iPad Problem

I'm trying to sync my photos in Aperture (3.0.3) to my iPhone 3GS (iOS 4) and iPad:
I was able to sync projects, albums, faces, and places perfectly fine to my iPhone, but as of about a month ago, when I select Aperture as the source to sync photos in iTunes (9.2), it shows a very outdated version of my library and hasn't changed for over a month. I've tried rebuilding, and repairing the Aperture database, as well as repairing permissions, but nothing has changed in iTunes. I've also tried creating a new Aperture database, putting photos into that and syncing, but some photos don't sync (all standard JPEGs, and they've synced before so the photos aren't the issue). So far no update to iTunes or Aperture has fixed this.
I don't do anything special in Aperture other than import photos from a CF card, directly from my Canon 40D, iPhone, iPad, etc. I did originally import all my photos from iPhoto, but I had no problems syncing or anything like that. I think one of the Aperture updates messed up iTunes ability to recognize the current library as it's stuck on this old version.
    Help is greatly appreciated,
    atshef

I have been syncing from Aperture via iTunes to my iPad since I purchased it. It has had options such as: "Selected projects, albums, and faces and automatically include 'projects from the last 6 months'" and "include videos".
Apart from videos, everything has worked. I got all the albums I selected including the photos, and all the events from the past 6 months (which appear as a separate tab - events - in Photo viewer on the iPad). Video has never worked though, I never see any of the videos transferred - I do suspect the format in that case though, perhaps Aperture sharing doesn't convert the format, even though they work in iMovie.
However, yesterday, as I was syncing, I noticed iTunes say "deleting photos..." now all photos are gone, except one album - the "***" (5 star) one from Aperture. I have tried rebooting the iPad, restarting the Mac, checking other applications can see the thumbnails from Aperture, removing "Sync photos from Aperture" then re-enabling. And nothing. All I get is the one album and no events.
It has been working for months. I have not updated iTunes in the last few days, nothing I can tell has changed, however none of my albums are now being installed. There is zero feedback. It says it works, no errors, nothing.
    Any ideas?

  • Itunes not syncing new songs + other problems. Help please!

My computer had to be taken to the shop last week and the whole system had to be wiped and recovered. I forgot to tell them there was another file I wanted saved so I lost a lot of my music.
I managed to download the free version of touchcopy and get my music back on to itunes. The music that I lost comes up with a question mark and wont play on itunes but is in ipod and plays fine. Is there anyway I can get the original files of these songs on to my computer as I cant make playlists or anything with these songs?
Also in my ipod a few of the playlists have been screwed up and there are about 5-6 versions of 90s music, recently added etc that have nothing in them. Is there anyway to get rid of them?
My main problem now is that itunes wont sync the new music that Ive just added (it wasnt on the ipod before). When i plug my ipod into my computer itunes tells me "sync is complete" and it also shows up with "do not disconnect" on my computer even though the sync is apparantly complete. How do I sync this music on to my ipod??
Sorry for that incredibly long winded problem, I really hope someone can help me!!

    Here are things I did:
Unchecked the playlists, Synced to remove all songs, rechecked them, synced again. NO RESULT
Added the songs manually by dragging and dropping them into my iphone. NO RESULT
Eventually, I cracked, and went for a restore, which luckily did the trick.
No solution was found however, and I would love to know if anyone has encountered this issue as I'm sure it will happen again.
    Thanks

  • ATI Prop. Drivers - config problem:

    Hey all,
First off, I'm a new Arch user, coming off a basic Gentoo install - like the forums here - everyone seems very helpful!
Pleased with how setting up Arch is going - basic desktop install.  I'm having problems though with the ATI drivers.  I'm trying to get the proprietary driverrs working, and having problems running the aticonfig program.  Here's the problem:

  • Sync/Async BPM scenario : Problem at Integration Process..!!

    Hi All,
I am doing Sync/Async BPM scenario.
    start ->Receive(Request)> Transformation(Responsemap)>Send(SendtoR/3)->Send(Send Response) ---> stop.
When Iam trying to Activate, Integration process giving errors as
    Source parameter AA_Payment_Req | http://XXXXXXXXX.com/SAP_PI/DirectSales/Payment not set  Target parameter AA_Payment_Response | http://XXXXXXX.com/SAP_PI/DirectSales/Payment not set
Warning: Container element Response is defined but is neither initialized nor used.
But I am using them in the BPM. The same kind of scenario is working for another interface which is already running in production. When I tried to check that interface it is showing only Warning message as Container element Response is defined but is neither initialized nor used.
I tried deleting and creating again and still it is showing the same error.
Can anyone please suggest what might be the problem.
    Regards
    Deepthi
