Can I have SYNONYM name and VIEW name same as TABLE name within same schema?

No, Tables, views and private synonyms share all the same namespace. Indexes and constraints share another namespace. This means that it is possible to have the same name for an index and a table.
Non-schema object (like public synonyms, user-role...) share another namespace.

As per my knowledge goes, We can see from Administrator which Folder is associated with a Workbook. Else you may have to manually open each and every workbook and look for the objects.

Automatic Row Processing (DML) using synonym name instead of table

I want my APEX form to select info using the table name but perform all the DML (add, change, delete) using the synonym name. I created the form using the wizard and went into the "Process Row of xxx" process that was created. I tried changing the table name to synonym name under the 'Source: Automatic Row Processing (DML)' section, but it still uses the table name. Is this possible or do I need to manually create processes using the synonym names

when I change the Table Name property in the "Automatic Row Processing (DML)" process to a non existing table it raises an error when I run the page and try to save something. So it's actually using the value.
Does the synonym point to the same table or a different table? What is the intention behind selecting from the table but updating through the synonym?

Translation of Columns and Table Names

Hi,
We are starting a large migration project and we have a mix of dutch and english developers.
I was wondering if there is any clever ways to translate column names and table names.
Not physically translate the text but store the english column name against the dutch column name?
I know I could write a view which overlays the table with the english version but I was wondering if there was something a bit cleverer?
Anyway to store multiple meta data against a physical table?

I'd tend to agree with Nicolas that you'd generally want all the developers to agree on what a particular object was called rather than having half of them think of it in Dutch and half in English.
On the other hand, it would make sense to me that the comments you create on your objects and tables should be multilingual, i.e.
SQL> create table my_emp (
2 name varchar2(100)
3 );
Table created.
SQL> comment on table my_emp is 'Table containing employee information.
2 Lijst die werknemersinformatie bevat.';
Comment created.(The translation is from babelfish.yahoo so I apologize if it butchers the Dutch).
The developers should be able to see the table and column comments in their IDE of choice and should be able to see what the object represents in their language.

if you know the transaction code you use to post the uploaded data in SAP, you just need to do BDC recording in using transation SM35. Record the whole process and create a program from the recording... and you wont even need to know the tables and field names-- almost everything will be done for you....
All you need to do is replace record data with upload data.
You can also try to look for a standard Function Module / BAPI which can do the processing for you and provide it with a table containing the upload data ...

You can get release date of PO from CDHDR table.
give object value as your po number and check.dont forget to give leading zeros.
The udate will be date field and transaction will be me29n for relaesed po.

Hi Murali,
The hourly rate is tied to a Wagetype & maintained in Infotype 0008. The database table is PA0008.
the field could vary depending on the No of wagetypes maintained.

To find the table where the field exists -Easy ways first check for the datasources at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/3d/5fb13cd0500255e10000000a114084/frameset.htm as Rasim suggested.

You can run a trace in ST05 with RSA3 on n check wot tables is d datasource reading.

Want field and table name for RESERVED coloum in MMBE

        There is a RESERVED coloum in MMBE and     I want this   * RESERVED* coloum in MB52   .
       I got to know that Field related to this RESERVED coloum is BDMNG coming from table RESB .
       To confirm the field and table I checked the value in BDMNG by putting join on MARA and RESB where MATNR = BAUGR.
        But I got value in BDMNG is 50 and in MMBE it is .228 for that material.
           Please tell me field and table name for RESERVED coloum. and hoe to join MARA and RESB to get exact result.

Mara-matnr is not equal to Resb-matnr and it shows no record if i do like this.
But Mara-matnr is equal to Resb-baugr, and it gives me 1 record .But porblem is that i dint get BDMNG field matching with mmbe RESEVERD coloum.
