Syntax error in Define entitytype method in MPC class.
Hi,
I am trying to create Odata service by creating new entity type and entity set at service level creation itself (Data model-->Create). Now at the time of generation of classes I am getting syntax error fields are not defined in method, Define Entitytype of MPC class. Could you guide me on how I can generate classes here.

Syntax error caused by duplicate methods in class.
We've applied service patches to CRM 7 and afterwards I found that there were two versions of a method in a class. There was the original (shown in blue) which should point to the superclass, but does not and point to the ZL.... class. Then there's the second copy of the method, shown in black, which is the Redefined method. But, I have never seen both in existance at the same time when view via se24 or the component workbench.
This is what I have tried:
Redefined the method (shown in blue). But then I have two methods of the same name (SET_COUNTRY) both shown in black. If I reverse the redefiniation it does successfully remove one of the redefintions, so I'm back to the state that started with, having the origianl superclass method and its redefiinition present.
This problem is in out QAS environment. I corrected this issue in DEV by deleting the Redefined method. However, the transport created fails when moved into QAS and gives a syntax error saying that duplicate methods exist, or is called twice. Which happens to be the problem that the transport should fix.
Can anyone suggest anything to try and fix this?.
As a last resort I opened our QAS envirnment for changes and within SE24 choose the option Utilities/Check.... But this did not resolved anything as all the sub-options said that everything was okay.
Desperate now, the ledge of this window is not very wide but it's starting to look appealing, even though the building is only one storey high.
[RESOLVED]
My sanity is restored. No matter what I tried I could not get a transport through to correct this issue. In the end I had to open up QAS for changes and delete the redefined method from ZL... class by commenting out the call statement, and then answer yes to the question 'Do you want to delete the method?'. After this I re-activated all and the WebUI now works okay.
The trouble is I'll need to repeat this process in production after the upgrade.
When the problem was fixed in DEV a transport was created, but this just gave an error 8 when imported into QAS. The message given was exactly the problem that it was trying to fix.

Syntax Error with JSON.Parse method to parse SharePoint List Items
Hi All,
I want to get SharePoint List data and bind that retrived data to the JQuery Grid Control.
For this I used SPServices to get the SharePoint List data in SOAP Envelope. Now I need to parse the soap envelope and store the retrieved items in array to pass it to the Grid Control.

Thanks In Advance.!Hi,
According to your description, there is an issue when parsing result from the data retrieved using SPServices.
By default, SPServices returns data as XML format, however, the JSON.parse() method “Throws a SyntaxError exception if the string to parse is not valid JSON”:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/JSON/parse
To extract the data needed from the response, you can either take the demo below for as a reference:
http://spservices.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=GetListItems
Or use the jQuery.parseXML() function:
http://api.jquery.com/jquery.parsexml/

2. why do use type "string" ? It should be "String" if you
refer to a standard type
3. What are you trying to say by this:

There should not be any parenthesis in the variable

Error When Deleting a Method Inside a Class
I developed a custom class that contained a private method. I removed this method because it was no longer needed. When moving the changes from the development to test client, it failed on import. For some reason, there was still some dependency on the method that was deleted.
I went back to transaction SE24 and regenerated all the sections. When this was done, it regenerated the class definition and the various sections. I moved a transport that contained these changes and it still failed. The import log has a reference to an include that is failing, but I still see no mention of the method that was deleted.
To continue going forward, I added the method back so that it resolved syntax error during import.
I am suspecting that there is some issue with ABAP support pack being used on the development system. Have other people experienced the same issue. I don't have the habit of deleting that many methods once it is created, but would like to understand the above problem and see what should be the corrective action.
Feedback/comments would be appreciated.
Regards,
Vince CastelloAs mentioned in my original post, I did re-generate all the sections using SE24, but the import still failed where the dependency to deleted method still remained.
I am planning to create a customer message and will post results when they become available.

Error while defining BAPI method in the BOR
Hi all,
I am following a document and trying to learn BAPIs. Now, after an object type is created through SWO1, from Utilities -> API Methods -> Add Method, I am asked to enter a function module name. Shouldthis FM be already existing one? When I gave some name there and entered, it's giving an error
BAPI : BAPI function module ZBAPI_GET_BILL_ITEMS has no return parameter
Diagnosis
The system checks that the RETURN parameter has been defined in both the BOR and in the function module. The parameter must refer to one of the BAPI return structures (all planned reference structures can be used for BAPIs up to and including Release 4.6B; but from Release 4.6C only BAPIRET2 can be used).
The BOR parameter must be type EXPORT (one line or multi-line) and the function module parameter must be type EXPORT (if one line) or type TABLE (if multi-line).
Procedure
Create a RETURN parameter for the function module. Also define the reference of the BOR parameters to the function module parameter in the BOR ("Name in function module").
Note that only incompatible changes can be made to BAPIs already released and delivered.
Find out about enhancing or modifying BAPIs that have already been delivered by calling the BAPI Explorer (Tools -> BusinessFramework -> BAPI Explorer) and reading the project form "Project to change an existing BAPI".
Can anybody help me out, please?Hi ,
In the export of that fm u have to give this.
parameter name typing associated type
RETURN TYPE BAPIRETURN

Syntax error when creating Overwrite method - implicit enhancement
Hi,
I am working at a customer site, and need to implicitly enhance certain methods. I would like to create an Overwrite Method for the following class/method:
CL_CRM_MKTDEF_DEFAULTS_PERSIST -> HEADER_WITH_KEY_EXITS_IN_DBASE( )
I proceeded in the following way:
Open class CL_CRM_MKTDEF_DEFAULTS_PERSIST in class builder (SE24)
Select menu path Class -> Enhance
Create, or select, enhancement implementation ZCRM_MKTDEF_PRD
Select method HEADER_WITH_KEY_EXITS_IN_DBASE, select menu path Edit -> Enhancement Operation -> Add Overwrite Method
Click on u201CNavigation to Overwrite Exitu201D
After navigating to the Overwrite Exit, I click on "Check" to perform a syntax check (notice, I have not yet implemented any code. Everything so far has been done by the wizard).
Now, I get the following error:
Enhancement Implementation ZCRM_MKTDEF_PRD
Unable to interpret "IS_DEFAULTS_ATTR". Possible causes: Incorrect
spelling or grammar.
When I create Overwrite methods for any other method in the same class, the same error does NOT occur. As far as I can tell, there is nothing special about this method that should cause this error.
I would greately appreciate any help that any of you could give me on this one.
thank you and best regards,
- Marius

Syntax error data declation in method
Hi,
I have created a structure name zstruct. Further to that I have a table type name ztabtyp.
After having created a method, I declare this in my method:
DATA: wa_mydata type zstruct.
Why does this give a syntax that says that zstruct has not been declared as a local object and if I doubleclick the name I am asked to create it ??SORRY !
I had misspelled a name.
Sorry for any inconvenience. -
We have our class libraries on a shared server we access via Samba (and ssh for command line). Sadly, several features seem to fail in both Flex Builder and Flash Builder/Gumbo with this setup. For example, we no longer get automatic syntax and error checking. Anyone familiar with this issue and able to suggest a solution? Thanks!
Be sure you are not mixing -compat=4 and -compat=5 compilations in the same program.
The -compat=4 mode is for compiling very old source code that was written for C++ 4.2 (1996). It provides almost none of the features of standard C++. Don't use this mode unless there is a specific reason why you must.
Do not use -I or -L options that point into /usr/include, /usr/lib, or into the compiler installation area. These directories are always searched by default in the correct order. If you specify them explicitly, you force an incorrect search order.
Be sure you have the minimum patch level of SUNWlibC required by the compiler. The patch includes libCstd, libCrun, libC, libiostream, libdemangle, and some other files. The minimum patch level comes with the compiler, and the Sun Studio installer will install the patch on the system where the compiler is installed.
You also need the patch on every system that runs the compiler, and every system that runs programs created by the compiler.
It is always safe to use the latest SUNWlibC patch. You can download the current patch from
http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/patches/index.jsp
But the link failure in your case is due to a missing function from your own code, since it involves a function parameter of a programmer-defined type. I suspect you have either
1. failed to define (provide a body for) the function,
2. declared it inconsistently as inline and not inline,
3. defined the function in a namespace different from the one where it was declared, or
4. failed to link the object file where the function is defined. -
