Syntax error in standard program after upgrade

Hi,
After upgrade from 7.0 to 7.3, we are facing a syntax error in standard program that is used in one of our process
The error says:
The field "G_REQUIDPARENT" is unknown, but there is a field with the s"
imilar name "G_REQUID_LAST". "G_REQUID_LAST"."
The system cannot find this object inside include LRSBM_REQUEST_GUIP04, that belongs to program SAPLRSBM_REQUEST_GUI
We assume that this is associated with the upgrade but we cannot find any solution in the web. Besides, this is a standard program so we cannot perform any change directly. We look for SAP Notes to apply but we didn't find nothing worthwhile
Basically, we are receiving a dump with the error message posted above and we found the syntax error, but the thing is that we don't know how to fix it, due to the fact that is a standard program and we cannot change it
I know that SAP could remove some object reference during the upgrade, but there should be an anticipated plan to fix this kind of errors, right?
Can you shed some light on this, please ?

Hi Ale,
If you make sure there are no customization around the object and SGEN already run, I think you can just open a OSS message to SAP to looking for a fix.

Errors in standard programs after refresh

Hello Experts,
We recently upgraded our system to ERP EHP5.
Before that we have taken the refresh from Prod-QA system.
After the refresh there were transports which we didn't imported on QA since it was thought that the system should be tested as it is Prod.
But now the system are upgraded and we imported last 4 months transport including the SPDD/SPAU transports again,we are getting lot of dumps in standard programs like STMS,VA01 etc.
How should we correct this error situation and what will be best approach here.

Hi Ajay,
The 4 months transports are from upgraded Dev system or Older SP transports ? Generally, pre upgrade Support Pack transports are not recommended in the upgraded system. You need to check the Objects which affect the upgrade Objects before importing the transports in the release notes.
If your transports from Older SP, then
I guess, you need to Restore the backup after the upgrade and recollect the transports with new objects.
2). Restore before upgrade backup, import the transports and upgrade again.

Hi,
Go to txn SE38 and display program "BS01_SALESORDER_GETDETAIL=====FT". Then do a syntax check. It should tell you what is the error.
I guess its some support pack that is missing. Try contacting SAP for this.

Hierarchy load - Error RSAR 683 Syntax error in generated program, row 0

Hi guys,
When I load the hierarchy on ZMATERIAL (load from 0MATERIAL hierarchy - source system BW), I have this error message : RSAR 683 Syntax error in generated program, row 0.
I have found several SAP notes, especially [Sap Note 944842|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bw_whm/~form/handler], but the implementation on our system does not change anything.
We are working on BW3.5 SP12.
Can anyone could tell me what to do ?
Will this issue be solved once we upgrade until SP18 as it is mentionned in the SAPNote ?

after implementing the corrrection part of note 944842 via SNOTE, plaese also:
1. replicate datasource
2. activate transfer structure (report RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL)
3. activate infoobject (make dummy change to description
of infoobject etc, save and activate it, remove change and save and
activate it again).
Hope it could resolve the incident.

This Error is coming while executing transaction in ECC 6.0 however in R/3 4.6C it is working fine.

I was trying hand on one of my Z class which contain include <CNTN01>. in its Local Types.
I commented the existing include statement and added new statement as
INCLUDE CNTN01_OO.
After saving now when i try to activate the Z Class, it is giving me following error:
INCLUDE CNTN01_OO
You can only define classes and interfaces at the highest level of CLASS-POOL.
CLASS Z5C_CL_MESSAGE, Internal classes in a class include "CNTN01_OO" does not start with the prefix (Z5C_CL_MESSAGE=======)of the current class pool.
pls advice what i should do correct this issue.

Use the program RSA1HCAT in SE38 to check your hierarchy.
Transaction RSA3 was not developed for checking hierarchy DataSources.
Rather, it is only for transaction and attribute/text datasources. If
you want to check the extraction of hierarchy datasources in the R/3
system, you should use the report RSA1HCAT. In this report, enter the
name of the hierarchy datasource in the "DataSource with HierarchyType"
field.
For this problem look at the note: 632920.

Syntax error in the program SAPLSYMB

I have installed ECC6 on windows 2003 server sqlserver 2005 as database. We are getting error at the time applying basis patch. The patch process is stopped at import_proper stage.
When i try to execute any transaction , the error is "syntax error in the program SAPLSYMB". I have cleard the transaction log, still the errro is same.
When I try to relogin the error is same, I am unable to execute any transaction.

I got an error when i tried disk repair ("the underlying task reported failure on exit - 1 HFS volume could not be repaired, 1 volume could not be repaired"). Is that the source of my problem?

This last one would require another HD with plenty of space to recover to.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility can't fix all that much, and the only other Apple Options are erasing the HD, or installing OSX to a second drive, then using Migration Assistant to move stuff over to the new HD.

Is there a transaction to compile all programs after upgrade?

Does anyone know of a transaction to compile all programs after an upgrade? One thing our users hate is that little clock in the lower left corner that says 'Compiling...' and after an upgrade this happens for every single program and transaction they start... is there a way to avoid this?

if you would to generate custom code as well I can offer you this report.
The output list shows only objects with generation errors.
This might interesting in case of a release change because ABAP is getting always more strict ...

ERROR:java.lang.NullPointerException after upgrade 5.5 to 6.0sp1

Hellos.
I get this error message after upgrading from IdM 5.5 to Idm 6.0. I use mysql as repository so the upgrade was not easy.
The ERROR appears when I click on the "List Accounts" tab on the main menu.
However, I can listUsers from the $WSHOME/bin/lh console program quite happily.
The "Find Users" tab also works. I can search for and find and edit users.... but when I save I am returned to List Accounts page which then returns me the NullPointer.
What is going on????
Has anyone else met this and overcome it?

Dear Arjun,
I had to make some adjustment to an upgrade recently where we also had to upgrade programs to be UNICODE compliant.
And we had to do this for Custom and Standard programs.
So, before writing a message for SAP, go to transaction:
UCCHECK
It was using this transaction that I adapted my Standard SAP programs.
So you should be ok with this as well....
If you have been there already, then by all means do write a message to SAP.

- Tcode SE37
- CCMSBI_AGGR_DSO2CUBE
- Line 412, iv_object_name = ods_curr2
- Double click the name "ods_curr2"
Check if this report is in active status. If not, please activate it.
If it is already active, please check version management to see if there is the latest modified version and retrieve the new version.

Transport error on standard program during transport of SPAU adjustments

Hi,
We are trying to transport adjustments made for SPAU into our Testing Environment. However, we encountered an error for program: AL01900R, Include MKGALF60: Syntax error in line 001861', 'Field 'DELTA_FGROUPS_REC' is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined'
First of all, the program and include were not modified and not included in the transport request. Not sure why it was being checked. But this is not a serious concern.
The 'DELTA_FGROUPS_REC' field declaration is indeed missing from the program.
Does anyone have any ideas how we can patch this? This is a standard SAP program, is there any way we can get latest code from SAP to patch (because usually OSS note only targets that include and not the entire program and its includes).

I re-read the OSS note and tried to run allocation for it. Surprisingly, that action re-compiles the main program: AL01900R and now the data declaration is generated automatically. So yes, it works now.
