System asking me to fill MANDATORY fields, even I used EXIT-COMMAND for F3

HI Experts,
issue- there is mandatory field in the screen, so, am using the folllowing code, system asking me to fillup the mandatory field.
then, i used exit-command, but, still its asking me to fill the mandatory fiels???????????
code is,

I am not sure but try making a specific module for your exit handling, for instance:
module do_exit at exit-command.
module cancel
module user_command_9001.

Permissions will not set, even after using terminal commands?

Hey,
I found a thread on here for using the terminal to type in commands for the user permissions and for the PSIX permissions on Leopard (10.5) server. These commands are supposed to clean the server of all underlying(hidden) permissions that you cant see and then you are supposed to be able to then set the permissions again and finally, to hit "Propagate Permissions" so that all the permissions set for the shared volume then get farmed out to all sub files/folders. This did not work when I tried it in the terminal, it said "Command not found" even after I typed in the admin password. Is there anyone out there who can tell me the actual way to fix the old permissions and get new ones set?
The story is: We had an old server on a G4 when i first took control of the server, I took the shared hard drive out of the G4 and inserted it into a G5 and started using it with the leopard server. the permissions did not really need to be set on that volume because they had carried over from the last time they were shared. But we recently just got a Drobo unit for our server and I recently transferred all the shared files and folders over to the new volume, but ever since I cant get the permissions to farm out to all the stations, it shows me that its done on the server. But when I go to access the files I am able to delete faculty folders where I had set the permissions to "read only" so I am wondering if there is a streamlined way of going about this or if I should just start from scratch and use all brand new HDD's?

Allow print after filling mandatory fields using PrePrint

I have a form in which I want to add a button which will allow the user to print the pdf file only when two required fields namely Text1 and Text2 are filled in. The same shall apply to Ctrl P command also.
How can I do so?
During google search, I have found some stuff on this but since I am not very well versed with pdf js (even with js) I am not able to make it.
Can it be done in Adobe Live Cycle Designer ES? There is a 'PrePrint' event, but I have no clue on how to make it workable to my requirments?

I have used the code, Pressing Ctrl+P is giving the message but thereafter the Print Dialog box appears and thereafter it prints the page as usual and not a blank page.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a concise list of useful commands to run incase something should happen to be going wrong somewhere (and also a 1-line for what they do)...the kind of output you'd post in a bug report. Some other good commands would help make "whats going on under the hood" more clear.

ltrace -- strace-like, but shows library calls, not only system ones.
vmstat -- shows many essential system parameters at a glance, first tool to start investigating bottlenecks
lsof -- "list open files"; as network sockets, pipes, ... are all "files", there are many interesting informations to gather. But I use it for two purposes mainly: to identify file descriptors in strace/ltrace output and for finding deleted, but still open files eating disk space.
I like atop also, for its ability to show aggregated data, grouped by user or process name.

Cannot get rid of "inbox" even after using other directions for doing so.

After being cozened into installing "inbox" on my Mac, I could use "inbox" for nothing.
My Mac runs OS 10.7.5.
After installation "Inbox" seized first slot on my Firefox (16.0). Even after I thought I had done EVERYTHING to dump "inbox", "inbox" opens unasked.
Scrupulously following directions, given in the next box, did not work either.
Holding down the "option" key promised a safe mode restart, but Firefox would not open in safe mode within a more than reasonable time (10 minutes), nor did anything else appear. I gave up twice after choosing to restart in safe mode.
Seek unambiguous advice that timely allows ridding my computer of all traces of "inbox" without wrecking anything else.

Try to reset the prefs on the about:config page that refer to inbox.
*Open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for inbox via the Search bar at the top of the about:config page. 
*Reset all inbox related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.
Try to reset some preferences to the default with the SearchReset extension:

I have developed an app, which shows some numbers which are 10 digit long. I used meta tag for removing the formatting for telephone, so that the phone doesnt take those numbers as phone numbers.
It works fine when that page is launched through safari in iphone, but when i add an icon for that app to my iphone desktop and then launch it, the numbers are underlined.
I am using iPhone 4, Can anyone help, to remove those underlines?

Behaviour of radiobutton and mandatory fields in a selection screen

Hello all
In the selection screen in a report , I have one mandatory field F1 and 2 radio button p_val and p_prov. there's no relationship between p_prov, p_val & F1.
I have 2 others fields p_dom and p_seg which are active when I select p_val : they are also mandatory when selecting p_val.
p_prov is the default radiobutton so p_dom and p_seg are inactive when the screen appears
I have 2 problems :
1 - First I select p_val (the message for F1 as mandatory appears -> normal) so p_val appears selected but The 2 fields p_dom and p_seg are not active. I would like them to be active even I have not filled F1.
2- I fill F1then I select p_val, so p_dom and p_seg are active, I fill only p_dom but not p_seg : I select radio button p_prov (the message for p_seg as mandatory appears -> normal) : p_prov appears selected but I don't want it.

Error in ESS Mandatory field for Address(0006) Sub type 1

       I configured certain fields as mandatory fields in the tables V_T588MFPROPC & V_T588MFPROPS for Address(0006) sub type 1. It is working fine in my development system and quality system . The same configuration is moved to production , it showing the error "fill all required fields" . Aprat from th V_T588MFPROPC & V_T588MFPROPS any other table to configure for mandatory filed.

1. check the badi implementation of HRXSS_PER_BEGDA
2. Check whether the note 1044777 is implemented in system
     1044777 -   Inconsistency in date handling of ESS PersInfo
3. Also this may be because of back end data also, try to create a new set of data with all the required fields and try to   edit     the same in portal because most of this issue may occur because of data.

Mandatory fields error messages in HCM forms and processes

Hi,
This may sound to be a very simple problem but I am unable to get to the root of the issue and thus need an expert advise here.
I have created several forms in the system out of which one is an OM form using SAP_PD service for create position. There are few mandatory fields in the form scenario such as
TITLE
ABBREVIATION
EMPLOYEE GROUP
EMPLOYEE SUBGROUP
As expected, system issues an error message if these field are left out blank but the error message is generic for all the fields and is missing the field name.
Actual Error Message
Complete the required entry field ""
Expected Error Message
Complete the required entry field "Employee Group"
Complete the required entry field "Employee Subgroup"
However, there are couple of fields in the form scenario which issues a correct error message
Complete the required entry field "Object abbreviator" (P1000-SHORT)
I am unable to identify the difference between the couple of fields that issues a correct message and rest 20 other fields which doesn't.

No, if I enter all the mandatory fields on the form then there is no problem. It allows me to move ahead and submit the form successfully.
As recommended by Siddharth, I tried debugging the message class and what I observed was it passes the complete_fieldname value as Personnel Subarea (I1008_BTRTL) and system expects it to be I1008-BTRTL.
SAP as a fallback tries to read description from the table T5ASRFSCNFLDT but it has a_form_scenario as blank and complete_fieldname has a concatenated value "Personnel Subarea (I1008_BTRTL)" instead of "I1008-BTRTL".
Not sure what am I missing which causes it to have this wrong error message.

How to avoid mandatory fields popup when cancelling a transaction

Hi All,
I have created a Employee create page and put some mandatory fields on it
and have 2 buttons apply and cancel . if i navigate to that page and not enter anything and press cancel button a dialog comes up asking me to enter mandatory fields
what should i do to avoid that popup ?

1) disable client side validation on press of cancel button
2)Or Don't mark the fields required and handle this in ur code on apply button event as server side validation.

I have put a default value in the field NAME (mandatory field) of Custom Object 8.
I would like to avoid to display the field in the UI.

If the field is required, it must be displayed on the layout.
Depending upon your configuration perhaps you could use a workflow to deposit the value into the field, whilst removing the requirement of the field thus allowing you to remove it from the layout?

MM Manage mandatory field in material master data

i need to manage some fields in MM01 and MM02 in order to have these fields mandatory if other fields have particular value. For example, if material type is ZFER and Prod.hierarc (in Basic Data 1) is AL001, only in this case i want that field Comm./imp. code ,in view Foreign Trade import, is mandatory.
I'm looking for an user-exit. I find EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 but with this solution i have a problem. The mandatory of field is active only during saving, on the contrary i would like that this mandatory will be similar to the standard.

Issue in Updating Customer specific fields in WBS using BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI

Hi Experts,
I am able to create the WBS element using BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI.But the issue is i am not able to update customer specific fields even after passing the fields as per specification in Function module documentation. I have also created an implementation of BADI as per below specification in FM documentation:
Procedure for Filling Standard Enhancements
Before you call the BAPI for each object that is to be created or changed,
for which you want to enter customer-specific table enhancement fields, add a
data record to the container ExtensionIn:
STRUCTURE: Name of the corresponding help structure
VALUEPART1: Key of the object + start of the data part
VALUEPART2-4: If required, the continuation of the data part
VALUPART1 to VALUPART4 are therefore filled consecutively, first with the
keys that identify the table rows and then with the values of the
customer-specific fields. By structuring the container in this way, it is
possible to transfer its content with one MOVE command to the structure of the
BAPI table extension.
Note that when objects are changed, all fields of the enhancements are
overwritten (as opposed to the standard fields, where only those fields for
which the respective update indicator is set are changed). Therefore, even if
you only want to change one field, all the fields that you transfer in
ExtensionIn must be filled.
Checks and Further Processing
Using the methods ...CREATE_EXIT1 or. ...CHANGE_EXIT1 of the BAdI
BAPIEXT_BUS2001, BAPIEXT_BUS2002, and BAPIEXT_BUS2054, you can check the entered
values (and/or carry out other checks).
In the BAdI's second method, you can program that the data transferred to the
BAPI is processed further (if you only want to transfer the fields of the CI
includes, no more action is required here).
But still i am unable to update fields though i am able to create WBS with rest of the fields except custom fields.
I am using attached code to achieve this.Do we need to code anything inside method create_exit1 or create_exit2 implementation for BADI or

First observation from your code is that i could not find the assignment for the field
GWA_WBS_EXTIN-STRUCTURE. I hope you are not filling this field, that could be one reason for failure. Try to do it and let us know if you still have the problem.
