In most situations, this problem is caused by system locale is changed to other countries from United States, such as Chinese, French, etc. Because of this change, the code page and font of Windows PowerShell console might be changed with system locale.
For Example, if change system locale to Chinese (Simplified China), Windows PowerShell console
(%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools) properties would be changed like this:

To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below:
Access to the path below to find the shortcut of Windows PowerShell:
%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools.
Right click Windows PowerShell and choose Properties.
Switch to Options, check if Current code page list there, if that it is, choose
437 (OEM-United States) and click Apply. Maybe you will encounter an
Access Deniedpop-up as the following picture. Then you need take ownership of current PowerShell File, switch to
Security Tab and obtain full control permission for current User Account.
Note: if Current code page was not list there, just leave alone
Options settings and switch to Font Tab.
Switch to Font Tab, choose the font you wished to use, click
Apply.
After the above settings, current Windows PowerShell console font should works as you wished.

Cause
This issue is due to the bootmgr file, we cannot use the bootmgr file of Windows 7 to find the Windows 8 Operating System files.
The Windows 7 bootmgr can indeed boot Windows 8.

How to make Text Input in Sales Order Trigger Change Event

Hi Gurus,
I have a project going on where when a sales order is created, changed or cancelled, an IDoc is FTP to our freight company.
Now the issues is when we change a sales order text input (for example, shipping note). Nothing happens. The system doesn't take this as a change so no change event is triggered.
Text fields I'm talking about is the one from Go to --> Header. and for Item Go to --> Item.
When I input a note in this field, it comes out in the IDoc, but when I go back to the Sales Order and change the note, it doesn't trigger a change and therefore no IDoc is generated.
how can I go about this?

Could you initiate the idoc creation from a workflow?
Have you checked the event trace?
Is the BUS2032 object type CHANGED raised? I checked our system and event is raised on text change.
Transaction SWELS to activate and deactivate trace.
Transaction SWEL to monitor event raised.
Don't forget to turn trace off

I am very very new to Adobe and the use of Java. I am attempting to create a form to add or remove users from one of our systems. I have a dropdown box where the end user selects how many users they want to add or remove. In the 'change' event of the dropdown, I have the following:

The user has the choice to add or remove up to 9 users. I havebasically duplicated the above changing the value in the event.newtext and then changing the corresponding presence value to match. How do I get it to loop through the selections? Please keep in mind I am a novice.

How to generate selection change event through code in JTree?

I am developing an application which downloads the file from other system and adds it into the tree. On selecting any file in the tree I m displaying it's contents. But now i am trying to display the contents of downloaded file as soon as it's download completes. Here i am not getting the way to how to generate the event as the download completes, because i tried that setSelectionPath(TreePath path), but it also don't generates the selection change event. Is there any other way to do so?

Put null in place of oldLeadSelectionPath. From the API for TreeSelectionEvent:
protected TreePath oldLeadSelectionPath:
leadSelectionPath before the paths changed, may be null.
I'm at the office and can't try out anything, so please let me know whether that works for you.

Local Change Request created in PRODUCTION needs to be moved to SANDBOX

I need to transport a request from Production (BWP) to a sandbox system (BS1), but when I create the transport it is created as a Local Change Request. How can I change it to a transportable request? I've checked the development class and it is correct. The package is ZBW and the transport layer is ZBD1. Please help.

Adding further to Santosh's suggestion....
Creating the transport of copies is the easiest option..if this is a one time activity...
Once the the objects are included from the Local change request to the transport of copies...release this...
Then move the tranport files at the OS level to the import queue of the Sandbox system....then in STMS of the SANDBOX..attach these file to the queue and then import it....

Shopping Cart Workflow - "Wait for change event" not firing?

Hi there,
I have a scenario where if I create a shopping cart above my spending limit it will go into the approver's inbox, that is fine.
Now if I change the total value of the shopping cart to be within my spending limit the original workflow should be "logically deleted" and a "no step approval workflow" should be triggered.
I see when the SC workflow triggers it also branches with a "wait for events", so that if it changes etc it will get caught here.
When I change the SC it does not do anything, the value of the cart changes but it still sits in the approvers inbox and the "no step approval workflow" does not trigger.
We are busy upgrading to SRM 5.0, it worked perfectly in the SRM 3.0 system we had.
Any ideas what would cause the "change event" not to fire?

You are the man!! That solved it.....I have implemented the BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI and for whatever reason I set the security level to 4 when it should have been 2.
4     "High" (workflow is never restarted when changes are made)
3     "Medium" (WF restarted conditionally when changes are made)
2     "Low" (workflow is always restarted when changes are made)
1     "None" (changes to the object are not allowed)
0     "Not defined"

Local change requests being created for changing package info

Hi experts,
After a client copy of object into a new server whenever changes are being made to these objects local change requests are being created. i found that the above behaviour is because of the transport layer in the package, which was also copied during client copy, is of the old server. And when that was change to the one available in the new server the change to the package also got created as local change request. Now I wan this package to get transported to quality from development ( where the change was made). Please help.

Thank you for your suggestion. I Created a Tp copy and included the local change requests in them and gave target system as quality system. There were 2 requests as local change requests, only one of them took the intended change in the quality but for the other the change made in the development system was not refelecting in the quality system.

System Locale Information in AIR application

Hello,
I am building a Adobe AIR application which will have UI in different languages. To change the language in the UI we are setting resourceManager.localeChain property to the locale.
How can I get the system locale information at runtime so that the language can be set at runtime.
I am using Flex SDK 4.0.

It looks like if you do
var defaultLocaleID = new LocaleID(LocaleID.DEFAULT)
then you can get the language with defaultLocaleID.getLanguage() and the region with defaultLocaleID.getRegion(). But it doesn't give you a list of preferred locales.

Cant Set System Locale (language for non-Unicode programs)

Im trying to deploy custom image wherein Input language and location should be English Australia , BUT system locale (language for non-Unicode programs) should be English-us. The requirement is as below
Standards and Formats: English (Australia)
Location: Australia
Default input language: English (Australia) – US
Installed input languages: English (Australia) – US
Time zone: Cen. Australia Standard Time
System Locale
Language for non-Unicode programs: Default - English (United States)

Incorrect date when locale changes

Hi,
Can somebody help me with this.
The following formula is used to get the month out of a date input by a
user at the prompt.
=Month(ToDate(UserResponse("Start Date");"MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm:ss a"))
when the user locale is US and input value is 06/01/2009 00:00:00 AM
gives "June" as the output which is correct. However, when the user
locale changes to UK the same date 01/06/2009 00:00:00 with the below
mentioned formula gives "January" which is incorrect.

Hi,
Based on Operating System the date format changes. So try to create a package with required date format and install in our System for consistency or based on the date standards followed in the country we can change it report as select the required date column -> properties -> select date and define the required date format.

Well, I can tell you that this kind of error is not OS related, but rather a HW thing. It happens where there is a general detection of something going wrong. Sometimes it can happen randomly and might not be an indication of a problem. But sometimes it can be caused by things that are improperly functioning within the system like bad capacitors.
Unfortunately I don't really know what to do about such things except give you machine a proper inspection. But if things are working fine, and continue to do so, I wouldn't worry about it. If it becomes a regular occurance, then I'd worry.
