System Pages header links
Hello, I have a quick question:
I'm finishing my website, and I'm customizing my system pages. When I enter in a system page (like lost my password), all my links in the header are not working because the URL changes for www.mypage.com/_system/systempages/home.html
do you know how to correct it for the real web address?
Thanks,
You have amazing timing... sure, it was working when YOU looked at it. ;-) I took out the following custom html code, which I was hoping to include under the "Menu" section:

This calls a widget to place my restaurant menu on my website. I can make changes to my menu on the fly using the service (which also feeds my menu to google, yelp, yellowpages, etc.) and the changes are automatically pushed to those services.
The instructions given by locu.com are:
"To add the widget on the website, simply add the following snippet of HTML wherever the menus or price lists are to appear on the website. Once added, the menu or price list will take up 100% of the available horizontal space. If you are already displaying a menu or price list, please back-up your current webpage and replace the existing code with the snippet below:

What would anyone suggest I do to still be able to incorporate this html, but so that it won't adversely affect text and HTML and anchor links and scrolling effects?

Web Page composer : new layout does not display Page Header Links Manager
Hello,
I am currently working with Web Page Composer, and this is my issue :
when using original layout, the header are displayed with "Add to favorites", "Print", "E-mail" etc... and all chosen links via the "Select Page links" link.
But whith my custom developped layout, I can choose wich links to display but they did not show up.
I think my layout miss a configuration point, but I did not manage to find out which one.
Does anyone have an idea ?
Thanks a lot.
Fabien.Hi Fabien,
Probably, you might have missed something in the configuration part.
Please ensure, you check all these steps, mentioned in here.

Master Page Header and Footer in Page Viewer Web Part
Hi.
I created a View in Pages Library to view specific folders.
After that i added one Page Viewer web part to one of the aspx page.
There in the Page Viewer web part properties Link i have provided the url of the view.
It is displaying the folders but at the same time it is displaying the master page header and footer inside the web part.
Now i need to display the folders alone inside the Page Viewer web part.
Please let me know how to exclude the master page header and footer inside the Page Viewer web part?
Regards,
Sudheer
Thanks & Regards, SudheerI think that is the default behavior of the page viewer webpart.
In the page viewer web part, your just enter the url of the website. So that is treated as webpage and it is displaying as per page.
http://meritsolutions.com/meritmatters/archives/576-Displaying-a-File,-Folder-or-Web-Page-in-the-Page-Viewer-Web-Part.html
If you want to display a folder, type in a network path to that folder under Link and the folder content will be displayed.
Find the more details about page viewer webpart in msdn

How to stop to display the main report page header in the subreport!
Hello all,
I have an existed report that display the CR page header on every page of the report. Now I added another subreport into report footer without using link. How do I stop to display the main report page header and display the subreport in the new page with subreport header only? I really appreciate your time to help me out on this issue. Thanks.Hi,
I tried to supress the page header with (onlastrecord and TotalpageCount > 1) condition, but the last page of main report without page header. I still like the page header display on last record, but not on the subreport only. How do I get it? Thanks in advance. -

CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Hi ,
I have a Main report and a Sub report . When a subreport spans across multiple pages , the page header and page footer of the main report gets displayed along with it . I want to hide the Page Footer and Page Header of the main report when a sub report is displayed . Is there any way it could be acheived in Crystal Report 6.0.I am assuming you are talking about the JSControl dropdown menu navigation. The easiest way to hide Community pages is to disable the Below Banner View for that navigation scheme, although it also disables the Subcommunties, Related Communities and Go up to Parent Community links. If you still want these in below the banner menu you could not display Community Pages in the "In this Community" tab and only leave the "Community Members and Knowledge Directly" link in there.
You would think that it would be better to remove the "In this Community" tab althogether but it is tricky to remove it due to the fact that there needs to be a default horizontal menu displayed all the time. Not all Communities will have a Subcommunities or Related Communities tab so these communities would not display any below banner menus at all if there is no "In this Community" tab, which could be confusing. -
Error message "Page header or footer longer than a page"
Hi
Our application call crystal report to generate/display crystal report in PDF format. We have a dev system to test this, all looking good, however when we moved to production server, the attached error message is displayed when running crystal report.
Invoking method GENERATEREPORT returned error Page Header plus Page Footer is too large for the page.
Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\SERV
IC1.LIM\LOCALS1\Temp\temp coq new xxxx.rpt:
Page header or footer longer than a page.
Same report doesnu2019t get this error message if running it from crystal report developer.
Not all crystal reports got this error, but some of reports display strange view in PDF, the content of report are reduced in a paper size like label size, not A4 size. I have checked the default printer on the server, it points to a normal window printer, not a label printer. I have checked all possible settings on production server and compared with dev server, all looks same to me
I suspect the label printing size is used somehow when the report is previewed in pdf format, not normal A4 size although I have selected a normal window printer as a default printer on the window, what else should i check?
Could you please shed some light on this?
Thanks!
LiI found the issue is from label printer that is setup on the production server. After I removed the label printer from the server, then error message is gone, all report running fine.
This label printer is not the default window printer, it is a network printer but is configured as a printer using local port on the server.
I think for some reasons, crystal report alway picks up the label printer page size, not the normla page size, I am not sure why and how crystal report do this, it should pick up the default printer, which is a normal printer.
There is no error when I run report within CR. The error happens only when I try to generate crystal report from our application.
I do have logo in page header/footer, subreports in report footer, but I don't think they cause the problem, because I can run same report without any problem in dev system.
Any idea what I should check next?
Thanks -
The system Pages library and its RSS feed do not work properly in SharePoint 2010
This question is about RSS feed for the system 'Pages' library in SharePoint 2010.
Now there are 5 'News' pages in the system 'Pages' library. In each news page there is one field called 'Title' for the news title. One of the news page is named 'FileNamePage5.aspx', and the news title is 'This is the title of page5'.
I have enabled RSS in Site Settings, and configured RSS Settings for the 'Pages' library from the Communications section via Document Library Settings. I selected a few columns to display in the RSS description, including the 'Title' column. In the RSS feed
(XML file) of the system 'Pages' library, I checked the XML source code, and found the news page file name appearing in the
tag below within the feed (XML source code).

FileNamePage5

and the original news title 'This is the title of page5' was appearing in the
tag in the feed (XML sorce code)

... This is the title of page5...

.
This would make it hard to extract ONLY the original news title (This is the title of page5) out of the feed via XSLT, because the data within the
tag in the feed also contains data from all other selected columns defined via the RSS
Setting. If I did not select the 'Title' column via RSS Setting above, I even could not find the orinigal news title in the RSS feed.
This is happening for all other news pages in the system 'Pages' library. Is this what SharePoint 2010 normally does? or is something wrong with the settings for site or the system 'Pages' library?
How to display ONLY the original news title (This is the title of page5) in the
tag in the RSS feed. Please Help me to resolve this issue.
谢亚军@SydneyHi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the value in Title column of Pages library in title tag in RSS Feed in SharePoint.
I tested the same scenario per your post, the title tag in RSS Feed displayed the value of Name column in libraries and displayed the value of Title column in lists.
It is by design and there is no OOB way to change the default column mapping in RSS Feed.
I recommend to customize your own RSS Feed style sheet to make the title displays the value of Title column in SharePoint libraries.
Here is a link about customizing the RSS Feed for document library for you to take a look:

Page Header Not Displaying at Top of Page
Report Builder 3
We have a number of reports that include navigation links in the page header. The links use the Bookmarks Action to move the user to a different page. The pages are separated using Page Breaks. Below is an example:
> Top row is the Page Header.
> Second section is the Resource Listing & Alerts page.
> After the first page a rectangle is placed which has Page Break set to Start.
> After the rectangle comes the start of the "Data Extract" page. The title is in a rectangle with a Bookmark called Page2.
> Click the link to be forwarded to the Data Extract.
> Page displays, but the Page Header is not visible because the screen is scrolled down slightly.
I have not been able to fix this or find a workaround that forces the Page Header to always display at the top. It has been suggested that putting the page break before the bookmark would force this to work, but that is not working.
Any ideas? Thank you! NaamkeekHi Naamkeek,
Based on my understanding, you add a bookmark link for “Data Extract” in page header, however, when clicking this fields, other page displays without visible page header.
In Reporting Service, when setting page header in a report, the page header will display in each report page. In your scenario, since you set BreakLocation as Start in PageBreak property, the rectangle could make the page header upper and screen scroll down
lightly. So please change this property to End. As we tested in our environment, we set BreakLocation as End in PageBreak property for the blank rectangle. Then adding a bookmark link in page header, when we click “Data Extract”, the page header will appear
on a new page. Please refer to screenshots below:

How to change the page Header background colour in a Theme
Hello,
I want to know how to change the page header background colour. If you are in the Editor I don't find a property where to change it.
If you are in the Theme Editor in the header bar I want to change stands Theme Editor. This (in my case blue colored bar) I want to change in another color.Hello Radhika,
thanks for your answer. Where do I find the option for the pageheader in System Administration>Portal Display>Theme Editor ->IView Trays exactly?
The pageheader is a picture, which must be uploaded for the web dynpro. Why should any webdynpro element in the ivew tray. There is no relationship between these two parts.
I have not found any option to change the web dynpro pageheader. Could there any extra theme editor for webdynpro?
Thanks.

Page Header Not at Top of Bookmarked Page
Using Report Builder 3.0
I have a large multipage report that has a Report Header which includes "tabs". The tabs are links to Bookmarked pages. I need the Report Header to display at the top of each page when a tab is clicked. To understand the structure please look at
the attachment.
Current Behavior:
Report correctly opens with Header displayed at top of Page1.
Click Page1 tab. No change--correct.
Click Page2 tab. Page2 displays with Header visible at top. Correct, but I don't know why. Clicking to advance pages in this section gets a correct result.
Click Page3 tab. Page3 displays. Header is there, but not visible because the page is scrolled down to what is probably the Bookmark.
All other tabs are the same as Page3.
Desired Behavior:
Same as Page2 above. When a tab is clicked the new page displays with the Page Header visible at the top.
I've wondered if this is possible with Bookmarks. I tried to come up with a URL that would work, but couldn't get the syntax correct. I also tried putting a Document Map in place--interestingly the exact same behavior as above occurs.
Can anyone help me? Thanks!Hi Naamakeek,
According to your description, you want to have your "tabs" displayed after you click it and jump to the bookmark. Right?
In Reporting Services, when we set a bookmark and do a jump to bookmark action, it supposed to navigate to where the bookmark is. This is the default behavior and we can't change it. So it happens on Page 3 and other tabs. In this scenario,
we guess you have set the textbox ("tabs") repeat with your tablix, and the position of the first two bookmark are close to header, so that you can see the header in your first two pages. So for your requirement, it might not be achieved currently. Since
we can't see the screenshot of report structure, please re-post it if possible. It may help us make some adjustment and improvement for you. Thank you.

thanks a lot
StevenHi Steven,
the database kernel checks with every read the header trailer. If it got a mismatch during read the error message you got is logged.
The same checkes will be executed when you create a backup. You told us that the backup could be executed without any errors and that the system where you created the backup is ok as well -> you executed a Check data?
Now everything looks like the error is in the backup and happened during writies to the external backup medium. Or the backup is ok and then the error happens during read from the external medium.
To get closer to the reason where the problem is located I need to have some more information.
1. You did the restore several times?
2. Did the bad Data Page shappens always on the same page -> Check knldiag.err
3. Did you do your backup on tape?
4. Did you try to create a backup into a file?
5. Does the restore from file got the error as well?

How to control X-UA-Compatible tag in page head section?
Hello !
We are developing WebCenter Portal applications using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.
All our pages are based on ADF.
Currently, we have 2 similar projects (actually – they are two different branches of same source project).
But the have one unexpected difference - when I check html-code of generated pages in one project I see

...
And in another:

We have no ideas why one generate content="IE=7.0" and another content="IE=8.0".
We compared all possible configuration files, but have not find any difference.
I've googled, but found only post by Frank Nimphius that is applicable to 11.1.1.4. As far as I understand in that version ADF didn't put meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" in page head section.
The problem is that our pages looks awfully in IE7. And we don’t have to provide IE7 compatibility.
So, my question is - why one project generate content="IE=7.0" and another – 8.0 and how to control it?
Thank you in advance,
BorisJust to prove this...

Hi All,
I want to display some column values like Company_Name, Company_Address etc in the Page Header of the report. I am fetching these values from table in the query of my report. Can somebody tell me how I can do that?
I tried placing a repeating frame in upper area of margin in 'Main Section' of report. Source of the frame was Query group. It printed multiple headers on one page.
Waiting for your replies. Thanks in advance.
Regards
MonaI think your query is return more then one record or u create query as child .
Create a query company name, address etc. as parent and other information as a child query, and link them with link tool.
Example
Q1. Select customer_no,name,address from customer (Parent)
Q2. Select customer_no, invoice_no, amount from invoices (Child)
If u created query like this
Select c.customer_no,c.name,c.address, i.invoice_no, i.amount
from customer c, invoices i
where c.customer_no=i.customer_no;
its return name and address for every record of invoices table.
