System requirements recorder utility

I wondered what my pc should have from hardware in order to record (sometimes view) multiple cameras with the free recording and monitoring utitly provided with th wvc200.
its recorded as mpeg-4
resolution 320x244
fixed quality
30f/s
thx

Ok, the configuration you mentioned is indeed what i have now. Only the vid card differs, 64 MB (not shared). Actually i dont use the video card as i connect to the recording pc via remote desktop.
But my main question remains unsolved : What do the system requirments have to be if i want to record 9 cameras? Or was the answer given for 9 cameras?
I think the processor doesnt need to be upgraded, because now its only 0-4% used for 1 camera. But how bout the ram? Networkspeed is ok (100Mb).
My recorded 15 min files are bout 45 MB. So thats 3 MB per minute or 0.05 MB per second. Adding 8 more camera's would result in a total of 0.45 MB per second that needs to be written from the ram to the harddisk.
ps
Fixed quality is set to "normal"

i own an imac 2011 running osx 10.6.8. I want to buy the new airport extreme but it says in the system requirements that it needs osx lion 10.7.5 or later. would it work with my older osx 10.6.8?

In order to set up and install the new AirPort Extreme:
    Setup and Administration
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later and AirPort Utility 1.3
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and AirPort Utility 6.3
would it work with my older osx 10.6.8?
Yes, if you set up the new AirPort Extreme using the guidelines above. The 10.6.8 Mac will be able to connect to the AirPort Extreme, but it will not be able to make any configuration changes.
Only the devices listed above can be used to set up and make any changes to the new AirPort.

  • System Requirements for the MacOSX 10.4.4 Combo Update?

    Hello,
    on
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosxupdate1044combo.html
    I read
    System Requirements
    — Mac OS X
    — version 10.4, 10.4.1 or 10.4.2
    I am using MacOSX 10.4.3.
    Can I install this ComboUpdate?
    Thanks for answers.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Yes you can. I would though first:
    1. Backup your data.
    2. Repair permissions with Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
    3. Make sure all software and drivers you have are known to be 10.4.4 compatible.
    4. Make sure the system is functioning properly before updating.
    5. (dismount if necessary) and disconnect third party peripherals
    6. Try the delta update first. If the delta update for some reason doesn't work, try the combo update.
If neither works, come back here, and we'll help you.

  • Customer Master System of Record: CRM or ECC

We are implementing a net new CRM and ECC Order-to-Cash project.
We are trying to decide what should be the system of record for the customer master, CRM or ECC.
    Some of the requirements:
    - Pricing will be maintained in ECC
    - We want to have customer hierarchies created and maintained in ECC and use for pricing and reporting (this suggests we use ECC)
    - We want to allow sales reps to create new customer records, contacts, and prospects in the CRM system (this suggests we use CRM)
Is it OK to have ECC as the system of record but create new customer records in CRM?
    Any suggestions or additional considerations?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
You can use either of the system as master system. Personally i would prefer to keep CRM as source system as we always need BP prior to creation of order for scenerios like Lead, Activities etc.
This way you can also control when to replicate the BP, as you would not want to replicate all the BP which are on the role of just prospects.
    Thanks

  • Can't upgrade my PowerBook G4, now at 10.4.11 to 10.5. It meets all system requirements!

I need to upgrade my PowerBook G4 to 10.5 so that I can use the current version of iTunes. When I talked to the Apple tech guy he said my PowerBook specs indicate that it can run OS 10.5. Specs are: PowerBook G4 15" 1.5Ghz 1 GB memory plenty of disc space, Firewire and attached screen. All listed on the install disc for 10.5. When I start up the install, I select English and two seconds later a window pops up saying it can't install on this computer. Doesn't state why or what is missing! ARGGHH!! I double checked everything, ran disk utility, opened the battery compartment to verify (1.5GHz/1GB/80G/SuperDrive/BT/APX/Backlit KB). So all hardware requirements are met.
The disc says Mac OS version 10.5, AHT version 3A137, Disc version 1.0, 2Z691-6150-A.
    Can anyone help?
    Mike

  • Ipod shuffle system requirements for itunes 5 are they real?

The System requirements posted on Apple's website ( http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?family=iPodshuffle) for the Shuffle say it will work with iTunes 4.7.1 or later.
    Mac System Requirements
    - A Mac with USB port*
    - Mac OS X v10.2.8 or Mac OS X 10.3.4 and later (Mac OS X 10.3.6 or later recommended for use with low-power USB ports)
    - iTunes 4.7.1 or later (included)
The box on a new Shuffle says
Mac OS X v10.2.8 or Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later [snip]
    - iTunes 5.0 or later (included)
I've been using my Shuffle with X.3.8, iTunes 4.7.1 and iTunes 4.9, and Quicktime 6.5.2 until its minijack went defective. I need a replacement shuffle and don't want to upgrade my OS, my itunes, or my QT.
Are these system requirements for real? If I use the iPod Shuffle 1.1 updater will the new Shuffle work with my OS/itunes?
I ask about the updater because once when my current shuffle's playcount stoped updating an Apple Genius suggesting updating the firmware from ipod updater 1 to 1.1 and ever since I can't restore it to version 1 (it gives failure to update errors). I worry that a new Shuffle won't be downgradeable.
If not what version of itunes 5 is best? I recall it was so buggy that it was bum rushed out the door.
Under no circumstances do I want itunes 6. I had 6.0.1. and 6.0.2 on a new hard disk a few months ago (and it required X.3.9 and QT 7) and it was awful! The sound volume dropped precipitously and the sound check didn't work.

Never mind. I returned the Shuffle for a refund. Apple lost a repeat sale by failing to practice the slightest bit of backwards compatibility!
I'm now in the market for an MP3 player that will work on Macs and that can also record audio. If anyone knows of any makes/models please let me know.

  • System Requirements -- What's Necessary?

    Hello all,
I've been definitely considering an iMac or Macbook Pro for Garageband to start getting some demo songs recorded and I was wondering what system requirements I should aim for (processor speed, ram more importantly) in having a system that will run smoothly so I can focus on the music.
I'll mainly be using a guitar and microphone through an M-Audio USB interface but I have no idea how many different tracks or instruments I'll end up using and eventually if all goes well I'd like to upgrade to Logic Studio down the road
    Many thanks in advance.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong... but you could get a macmini 2.26ghz with 4GB Ram and use you PC's screen, keyboard and mouse and you will be flying. You would not be investing in a machine that is overkill for your short to mid term needs, all the while ramping up your skills and defining what it is you really need in the long run. If you need to be mobile then a white macbook with 4GB Ram could also serve you well.

  • My input/output port is no longer functioning. After hitting the proper buttons in the System Requirements/Sound, it still does not function.

After having my MacBook Pro for just less than a year, the input/output port is suddenly not functioning. Even after clicking the correct buttons in the System Requirements/Sound section, I cannot record through the input and listen through the output modes.

    Hi Tim,
Your MBP has a one year hardware warranty on it, so I would contact AppleCare or go in to an Apple Store.

  • XCODE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

I'm interested in making apps. I've done a lot of research on xcode and the developer program. But since i dont have a mac, i've been looking at used mac mini's online. I would like to know what the system requirements are to have a smooth operation. I would like the processor, RAM, and OS requirements. Are older mac minis compatable with the latest version of Xcode? Most of the cheaper mac minis (below $100) are 2005 models with below a gig of ram (which probably isnt enough) and they have different operating systems (depending on the owner). Please help me with this. I don't want to sink a lot of money into this but I also want a smooth operation. Thank you!

    Zach the Apple User wrote:
Thank you. So if i do shoot for a mini, the latest model would be best? or should i go for a macbook or something?
We get this question all the time. Buy the most you can and again, shop the refurbs from Apple for deals.
However, you need to know what your needs, budget and requirements are, long and short term. We can't tell you what is best for you without more info, sorry
Using a laptop as a dev machine can be restrictive simply due to the reduced screen size. You can add a monitor, but you'll be doing that with a mini as well. Max the ram in whatever you buy, get twice as much hard drive as you think you'll need and try to get one with a fast spindle speed.
Remember, Xcode isn't likely the only thing you'll be using....and what other OS X applications you do use depends entirely on what type of apps you intend to make. Audio heavy? Tons of video? Images....jpgs or pngs? Text editors? Browser, backup utility, etc. etc.

  • Why won't Maverick Install.  Meet all system requirements.

So, my 2009 MacBook Pro is running 10.7.5 (Lion), and meets the system requirements having 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and the memory required.  It has an 2.33 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor.
When I click "install" in the App Store it states, "OS X Mavericks cannot be installed on this computer," with "We could not complete your purchase," above.  When I click "learn more," it sends me to the system requirements page, thus why I explained my setup.  I verified and checked the stuff in Disk Utility and there were no issues.
I just got an iPhone 6 Plus and with running the newest iOS 8 it requires one to have Maverick or Yosemite, eventually, installed to access iCloud Drive, so I'd like to complete the update to my OSX.  Any ideas?

Installer reports "OS X could not be installed on your computer" or "This disk cannot be used to start up your computer"
    I would do this first:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

  • Why is OS 10.3 a "system requirement"

I just picked up a 4 GB iPod Nano yesterday. I am still running OS 10.2.8 on my iMac. The system requirements for the Nano indicate that OS 10.3 is required to use the Nano. However, I hooked the Nano up to my iMac and it syched with iTunes (the newest version) just fine. Is there any reason to upgrade the OS or should I just stick with what seems to work? Thanks in advance.

When you need to use the iPod Updater utility for anything (Updating the firmware, doing a Restore) you won't be able to.
The iPod Updater Utility requires an OS later than 10.2.8.

  • SharePoint Server 2013 single server installation licenses and system requirements

We are thinking of setting up a SharePoint Server 2013 for the following features to be accessed by our test team (<100 users)
Our requirements are as follows -
Total user access <100 users(starts with 50 and may be go upto 100)
Mainly Access to TeamSite(Document library), WiKi, BI reports view(SSRS Reports integration)
We have a Visual Studio Ultimate license that covers SQL Server 2012 and Share Point server 2013.
We have also got a Amazon EC2 machine access to create a Xlarge box with Microsoft recommended Cores, Memory, storage for SINGLE INSTALLATION of SharePoint Server 2013 and SQL server database on Windows Server 2012
    My queries are as follows
Are the licenses above sufficient to go ahead with setting up the SP Server? or do i need any other licenses ?
I would like to create local LDAP in amazon without connecting to the company active directory. Would this be possible? We have users from other locations(different countries) providing services to our company and we would like them to access this portal
to share and access docuemnts without any network issue etc..
Are there any known firewall issues with EC2 machines for share point deployment
System requirements for single server installation (with or without BI reports)
Please note this implementation is only for internal use by the test team and is not critical. Not a production implementation.
    Is there any better solution?
    Much appreciate your help
    Thanks
    Vara

MSDN subscription licenses for SharePoint aren't, as far as i know, for use as production devices. This means that whilst you can use it for testing and development you can't use that license for the SharePoint server that you'll all be using.
As such I think you will need to buy a SharePoint 2013 server license. The same goes for SQL, Windows etc.
There is also the question of user licenses, ie. CALs. I don't remember if those come included as part of an MSDN subscription.
    2) Possibly. As long as Amazon can host a domain for you it should be possible.
    3) Pass. Microsoft prefer you to use Azure and most of my training and experience is with that.
    4) High. 4 cores, 24GB of RAM minimum.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262485.aspx#hwforwebserver
You'll either need a 2XLarge or a memory orientated box, in which case you won't have much storage space.
Internal team infrastructure is still important. If you're using it enough to make it worth having then you need it there and running.
Have you considered using Office 365?

  • On installation of Firefox 4 beta, it tells me that it won't run on my Mac. When I go to system requirements, it takes me to a page for Firefox3.6 requirements. Where can I find the requirements for the beta?

The link to system requirements for Firefox 4 beta takes you to a page that gives you the requirements for Firefox 3.6 instead. I assume that the requirements for the beta are different as I can't seem to install the beta on my Macs. Where can I find the beta system requirements?

I never expected Mozilla to neglect the users of Apple's PowerPC (PPC) computers, while still supporting much older operating environments such as Windows XP. So, I should just throw away a $6,000 system, which is still fast and functional, and contribute masses of heavy metals to land-fills because…?
I'm hurt and confused after supporting Firefox for many years — installing and using it not only on my own computers but on most of my customers' computers. Now I have to tell my customers with PPC Macs they can't have a secure cross-platform browsing experience from Mozilla. They'll have to learn to use some other browser, or buy a new computer.
If one doesn't buy a new computer every year, one doesn't deserve Firefox 4. This is sort of sounding more like a Microsoft™© doctrine. (But wait, I can still have Firefox 4 on a ''SERIOUSLY CRAPPY WINDBLOWS XP pile of rubbish?!'') Please open your eyes Mozilla. This just doesn't make sense.

  • Questions on the capabilities of the Adobe media server and system requirements

    Hello
We need to send multiple video streams on different computers and screens in our organization. To do this, we need a dedicated server with the following functionality:
    - transmit up to ten (or even more) HD and FullHD streams simultaneously
    - manage playlists in real time without relaunching stream every time after adding items to the playlist
    - imposing of any text and video effects
    - use a variety of sources: a folder with pictures for the slideshow, video and audio files, video capture devices, video streaming from other resources
Is Adobe media server suitable for our tasks?
What are the system requirements (I do not mean minimum requierements)?
If we buy adobe media server, will it be enough? Or we will have to buy additional software products to provide all the necessary functionality?
    Thank you.

    1 and 2 is possible
    3 is not
4 AMS is not an encoder and does not encode or create streams. You have to use other software for that.Adobe FMLE is for live streaming...Use third part software like manycam(a virtual webcam on your machine) to generate video sources out of slide shows.
