T code LTRS - Create include to multiple fields.

Dear Folks,
I have multiple fields for that i have to pass date and time which should be write in Include.
Please guide me how to do it in ABAP way. or any sample code.

There is one way of achieving your requirement-
I will explain with an example here-
I have 2 tables for eg-
ZTEST1 ( with two fields mandt and matnr only in ECC)
ZTEST2 (with two fields mandt and matnr only in ECC)
step 1 Using LTRS - table settings I extend table ztest1 with two additional fields ZHDATE and ZHTIME.
step 2 Using LTRS - rule assignment and add logic in rule assignment as below rule -" event related"
and called an include specifically for ZTEST1 table
which has code-
if <WA_S_ZTEST1>-MATNR NE SPACE.(WA_S --indicates source fields)
<WA_R_ZTEST1>-ZHDATE = SY-DATUM.(WA_R --indicates result set fields)
<WA_R_ZTEST1>-ZHTIME = SY-UZEIT.
ELSE.
SKIP_RECORD.
ENDIF
I perform the same set of steps again for table ZTEST2 with a new include and same logic, just replaced ZTEST1 with ZTEST2.
You cannot have a common include for two tables if you are going for event related rule type.

How to create Using Formatted Text Field with multiple Sliders?

Hi i found the Java Sun tutorial at http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/slider.html very useful, and it tells how to create one Formatted Text Field with a Slider - however i need to create Formatted Text Field for multiple Sliders in one GUI, how do i do this?

insert into notes (project_id, note, notes_month, notes_year) So, p3_note_id is NULL.
Another option is that you have a trigger on table NOTES that generates a new note_id even for an update.

Creating process for multiple Date fields for update or insert in APEX

hello there,
could someone please help me?
i have a form on Apex based on view that is based on three tables and updating and inserting ok using trigger instead of.
i have a problem now as in my form i have around 75 fileds (items) incuding 30 or more date fields which could be populated or left blank or update later.
so for each date field i have two boxs; one for date, input as dd/mm/yyyy (text field) and second for time, input as 23:45. All dates will be insert or update manually by user. so as i mentioned not all date fields could be poulated at one stage.
so i have created some process and validations and all of them work fine but i came accross if date left blank then (:) giving me problem so i have done following further process for each date field. In real table all the date fields have data type date.

so i like to ask is there any easy way that is more professional. i was thinking about the procedure and using collection or similar but honestly not much experience on that so could some one please help me?

Hi,
You can do the needful by re-using the code if you can give the item names as P8_DATE1, P8_DATE_hh1, P8_DATE2, P8_DATEhh2 etc..So your item name just differs by a sequence.
Now you write function which will return desired date value taking above items as input. Pass item names to this function, get session state using APEX_UTIL.GET_SESSION_STATE('item_name') API.
Now modify you code as

....Now you have all date valus in array. Just write one update as follows

How can I create a search plugin for multiple fields

There are a number of sites that have search capabilities but they require entries into multiple fields.
One such site is for instance the IBM Employee directory.
(http://www.ibm.com/contact/employees/servlets/lookup)
On this site - in order to get usable results - I have to enter both First name and Last name of the employee I'm looking for.
I created a search plugin for the site, however I wasn't able to split the entered text into two parts and provide them as separate fields for the form.
Is there a way to do this?

This is excellent. Not search-plugin though but but this is as good as a search-plugin. (Even better, as I haven't seen any solution with the plugins for the problem.)
I didn't know that it was possible to use javascript as bookmark location.

Error while Creating a formula for field AZNOR (T-Code : OP17)

Creating external table - from a file with multiple field separators

I need to create an external table from a flat file containing multiple field separators (",", ";" and "|").
Is there any way to specifiy this in the CREATE TABLE (external) statement?

We receive the file from a vendor every week. I am trying to set up a process for some non-technical users, and I want to keep this process transparent to them and not require them to load the data into Oracle.

Extend ABC Code clasification to include code = "D" MRP1 field - tx MM01

I need to extend ABC Code clasification to include code = "D" in MRP1 - ABC Indicator field in TX MM01, can someboby tell me how pls!!

you cannot have a D for this field.
See transaction MC40 which is used to calculate and update this field. There is nothing to add a D in the analysis strategy section. So you would need to re-write this transaction as well if you want a D.
Instead use the CC - Abc indicator field in storage location view. Here you can have a D.

Include Manager Lookup field on User Create & Modify form oim11g

Hi Experts,
I deleted the add manager field text box from the User modify and create page during customizations and published the sandbox. Now, as per the latest changes i needed to bring this field back. When I try to customize and add the content, I can see Manager field (In UserVO.xml) there. I added this field, but this field accepts long value not even text.
Actually i want to have a lookup type manager field that shows the managers User login when a manager is selected. I can see the functionality implemented in 10g instance. But dont know how to do here.

Our requirement, is we need to have a user defined field similar to how its there in "Organisation".
For example we need to create an user defined field like "Service Holding" which holds different services say like Service 1, Service 2, Service 3 etc.
Under each service there are multiple roles....
Eg:

Service 2 - Role 4, Role 5
Service 3 - Role 6, Role 7, Role 8
Is there a way to store multi-valued attribute in OIM UDF? If so, pls. guide us
If its not possible we would need to create a Lookup field (something similar to Organization or Manager). User clicks on the button (lens button), which should invoke an API wherein he can select specific Roles and save in User. Eg. like Service 1 - Role 1#Service 2 # Role 5 and store in the backend database.
Is this possible. Pls. guide.

Create multiple assets (AS01) - maintain multiple fields can be configured?

When creating multiple similar assets, system prompts if to maintain fields with different contents.
The multiple fields that show are limited. I want to maintain certain fields eg. location, serial, license plate, etc.
Can new fields be added to the maintenance? Please advise.

Multiple Field as a Part of the Single Search

WOW, Jheadstart is the way to go!!
Here is a quick question to expedite my learning process if you don't mind since my customer needs to see something in couple of weeks.
I created a single search screen from a group based on what has been generated by the Jheadstart Designer, but only one field is generated. Now, at this point, is there a way to have multiple field generated or I need to customize the generated JSP or UIX screen? Same things for the methods that are involved, will I need to customized certain Action Class methods to include to two attributes as a part of this search.
I thank you for your explanations and would greatly appreciate any sample codes available that you can refer to or explain.

Using Message directly, you can not achieve what you want easily.
Instead, i thought out one way, you can judge and check whether it can help you a little.
You don't use the Message manager directly, that means: don't display your message.
Now, you have one context attribute named "context_msg" which has type "String".
In addition, you have defined one Link-to-action UI element which is bound with the context attribute "context_msg".
When you get the message, use the following
message e001(ID) with <variable> into lw_msg.
or if you use Exception class
lw_msg = lo_exp->get_text( ).
Then you can set the context attribute "context_msg" with the "lw_msg".
Now, you can implement your action handler for the action of Link-to-action as you want, i.e. open another pop-up window.
I don't know whether it can fit your requirement or not.

Multiple values for multiple fields sharing common id

I'm new to Reporting Services and I need to create report based on a common child id that includes multiple values from multiple fields in several tables. I can combine all the values into one query for a list report; however, this causes the rows to duplicate
multiple times based on the differing fields having multiple values (i.e. report contains various child ids and multiple medication dates/names, multiple health diagnoses with onset dates, multiple health service dates/values, multiple immunization types and
service dates, etc). If I create a list report and try to use various tables, I run into problems with how the tables view the data due to the duplicating child id rows from multiple field values on that child id. If I hide duplicates for these different tables,
I can run into spacing issues from the duplicating rows and/or hiding data that shouldn't be hid.
I need the report to have the basic non-duplicating child info (id, name, basic health info) and then also have various sections that contain fields with numerous values (i.e. section for health issue name and onset dates, section for medication name and
prescription dates, section for health service name and service date, etc). I would want a page break after each child id and would want all the child ids to be viewed/exported for printing purposes at the same time (i.e. not choosing one child id at
a time to print or view the data). I have tried to create one main table on a list report with various subreports on the child id; however, this is hard for my machine to process (it takes forever) and I can only view/export one child id at a time when I use
child id as the report parameter.
Any help you can give this newbie would be greatly appreciate.

According to your description, you have some questions about your report design.
1. How to have non-duplicating child info?
In this scenario, since you don't want to hide the duplicate data, we suggest you filter the duplicated records on query level by using Distinct statement. If you want to do it on report level, you can group
records on chid id and use First() function on other fields.

2. How to have various sections that contain fields with numerous values?
We can also add these fileds into the child group of child and have them toggled by child id.

3. How to add a page break between each child?
Right click on the Row Group(child id)->Page Break->Select between each group instance.

4. How to select multiple child id when rendering report?

Create a custom multiple selection on screen - not selection-screen block

Dear expert,
I created a text field on screen for input selection, e.g field bname for USR02-BNAME. How can i create a CUSTOMIZE multiple selection plus a paste (from clipboard) feature on this screen (e.g. SCREEN 0002) like standard selection-screen from SAP when we create a report.
For a better view on what i want:
This text field already use F4 customize search help. I need a multiple selection lines (like standard selection-screen a button on the right side of select-options field).
Remember, i don't create textfield from select-options parameter (e.q. SELECT-OPTIONS : XBNAME FOR USR02-BNAME),
but on a screen.
Anyone can help my case?.

Had the same question from my users. This was the first hit i found but unfortunately without an answer. So for those with the same question, this is how i solved it (goede voornemen voor 2014). In my case the request is a complex selection on the LFA1 table.
The screen contains two fields to enter the low/high value for lifnr (zdy_droogteschade-lifnr and zdy_droogteschade-lifnr_tot)
Created a button on the screen, mark this as output only, when pressed the routine multi_select_crediteuren is performed wich uses the fm 'COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG'.
To top it all of, the icon on the button changes depending on the contains of the range table (in a routine called from the PBO).
This only works when the button is marked as 'output only',
Include the icon type pool: 'type-pools: icon.'

New to the product - question about validating multiple fields as a group

I have a static form that I'm building from a word document. Part of that form requires a person to fill any 3 out 5 text fields.
Since it looks like scripts are applied on a field by field basis, is it possible to have a script that encompasses multiple fields?
Would any script need to be applied to each field in turn?
Assuming the answer to question 1 is a yes, how would you script it to require x number of fields out of a total of y to have some sort of content in order to validate?
I'm pretty familiar with JavaScript and am looking at the Scripting reference guides but was hoping for a helping hand to get me there quicker as I'm in a bit of a time crunch - doing 18 forms with validation and database connectivity by January 15 certainly qualifies in my book.
I would assume you'd do something like this but am unsure of the syntax...
Get values of each field
Set a valid counter variable for the number of fields with content
If field 1 is not empty, increment the valid counter
(rinse and repeat)
if the valid counter is less than 3 throw an error message

1). Yes, scripting within Livecycle can be for a single field or even static text, images and other artifacts within the PDF. Really anything, within Adobe's reason, when it comes to scripting.
2). It depends on what you want to do. Things like field validations, calculations and other instances where fields are tied togther really dictate how the script runs.
3). Fields that have calculations or validations with them work in the same, I believe. So for example I have a PDF that I made that is an Excel-type sheet that contains a few hundred cells and every single one has some type of validation or calculation associated with it. I generally run the calculations/validations from the user inputting the data and then after that the script runs, but again, it really dpeneds on what you are doing and with what, so answering some of your questions are a bit difficult.
Javascrip/Formcalc are wonderful tools within PDF, but don't forget the Action Builder (Tools -Action Builder). It is a set of preloaded actions that are turn-key. Just select the cells that will have the action and select the result you want from the preloaded list of actions, using those actions can get you very far, and most of all; they are quick to implement without researching code. So for example, you could use the Action Builder to create an action that checks certain fields and if they are null to return a 1 value to a specific numericField (these could be hidden). Then have a "total" numericField (this would be your counter) that adds all of those fields with the 1 in it. Then create another Action Builder for that "total" numericField and if it is less than 3, display a message box that is a warning.

Copy text from multiple fields to one field

I would like to copy text from multiple fields into one field. Each of these smaller fields will only be allowed to have one character. The larger field will not be able to be edited.
So far, I have thought of creating a naming heirarchy for these fields. I was going to then call upon the array of the parent and set the value of the parent to equal this array.

The code sample you provided is using AcroForm scripting and will not work in this form. There is another post similar to this one...have a look at this one it might help you out. It is doing the opposite of what you want but the concept of the loop and how each field is addressed inside ofthe loop is what you wil need.
