Tab folder problem

Hi folks,
We are dynamically building tab folders in a couple of windows and find that
the vertical height of the folder is always much taller than each of the
tabs within. It looks like the more tabs you add in, the taller the entire
folder gets. There seems to be blank space added at the bottom of the folder
for each tab added. Is this a tab folder bug or is there something we could
be doing wrong ?
We are building an array of panels, depending on the contents required and
using SetPages to create the folder. The entire folder is then parented to a
gridfield to display it on the header window. Setting grid-spacing
properties on the outer grid makes no difference and it is set to Ignore
invisible children. For example :

URGENT! TAB + Folder navigation Problem

Hi!
I've got a portal page with two tabs (let's say tab1 and tab2). Inside each of them I have added a portlet(wich is in fact a folder pubilshed as portlet - let's say folder1 and folder2)
1 - I click on tab1.
2 - I click on folder1 - it's subfolders are shown. Ok
3 - I click on tab2
4 - I click again on tab1
5 - Instead of folder1, it's subfolders are shown. !!!
I wan't the page to go to the parent folder each time a tab is selected.

I have similar problem with tabs and parameter persistence.
I have portlet with submit form on one page tab.
Problem is, if user submits data on form, and then moves on other tab, all submited data are send via url parameters again....
How can I avoid this kind of behaviour..
I find many peoples with simillar problem, but no one has find solution or workaround for this problem..
Please help........

Create Tab Folder with XML

The problem is that I had only 1 tab; when I added 2 tab...it display by code.
How do I add 2 tabs by xml? They have to be grouped...

Tabs in navigation page (Tabs persistance problem)

Hello all,
I'm looking for a workaround of tab persistence (the problem in post URGENT! TAB + Folder navigation Problem )
; is it possible, somehow, to make a navigation page with tabs, and in those tabs some kind of auto-redirection to the actual pages ? Or any other way using tabs? I just want to avoid image-map style navigation. This tab persistance feature is sooo anoying...

Folder problems on external drive, not showing correct file size

I've run across a strange problem. I'm media managing for a tv show, meaning I'm offloading video from CF cards onto 2 external drives, one is a Drobo Raid (set up for backup) and another is a Lacie rugged drive. After copying the media to both drives, the folder I copy will match, but sometimes as I drill upward in my folder structure, suddenly the file sizes will not match. To be more clear: 2 folders will show differing file sizes, but inside that folder is only another folder,nothing else, which matches across the drives. I've shown all files in finder and there's no hidden files, though sometimes I see the ds_store files are different sizes (8k vs 16k), but that's not always the case. Sometimes if I simply create a new folder and move it's contents into it I can get the folders to match, but sometimes that doesn't work. It's part of my workflow to show that these copies match exactly via screenshots, and although the most important folder (the direct folder holding the footage) always matches, these folder problems are super frustrating as it's not constant, and any workarounds also work inconsistantly.
I had an accidental disconnect of the Drobo one time, and although none of the data seems to have any problem, I fear it's done something to the directory. The rugged drive is swapped out every few days and the problem seems to be on the Drobo. Because the nature of the data is pretty important, I'm afraid to just try messing around with repairing or other software solutions unless I know it's super safe and won't harm the data.
I'm at a loss as to what's causing it and at the very least how to avoid it cropping up. Any help or insight would be appreciated!

I had the same problem with my iMac, first I repaired the disk, then I ejected the disk, restarted, and then reinserted the USB in a different port. All of my files magically showed up. I don't know what caused the error but it has been working fine since.

Missing 'Excise Duty' tab folder in purchase order for a ED material

We are now testing PO creation (ME21n) for a ED material, but this tab folder is nowhere to find now

Root password and /usr/lib/cron/tabs folder

/usr/lib/cron/tabs is owned by root with the permissions of "drwx------ 2 root". My user on this machine is an admin but I cannot see the contents of /usr/lib/cron/tabs and I do not know the root pw. As an admin on this machine how do I reset the root PW or get into the /usr/lib/cron/tabs folder?

you can use
*sudo ls /usr/lib/cron/tabs*
with your admin password.
You can reset root password by booting from the leopard install DVD and using "Reset Password" utility.

Any Update on the "Ghost Folder" Problem

Just wondering if there has been any furhter insight into the "Ghost Folder" problem created after editing in PS CS3 (from LR2)?
Is there any manual way to get the image from the ghost folder to appear back in the proper folder?

Thanks for the reply.
When I edited the image in PS CS3 I saved it to a folder as a .tif (so I could send it to a print lab). When I went back to LR2 the saved tif did not show up in my tif folder so I synchronized that folder and that's when it showed up in the "ghost folder" in LR2. When I look at the original folder of tifs this particualr image doesn't show up. I then tried to move (drag and drop) from the ghost folder into the original tif folder but LR tells me there is already an image there by that name.
So if I manually remove the ghost folder (via LR or in windows) what will happen to the saved tif?
Right now I have PS CS3 set up as the first editor in the preferences, with tif as thw working format. Are you suggesting that PS be set up as the additional editor as well? WHat do I put in the preference for the primary editor?
BTW, I am also working in Win XP Pro.

af:showOneTab layout problem - tabs folding

Hi everyone.
I have the following problem with the showOneTab tag - I have many tabs (showDetailedItem) and they have long titles. They don't fit on one screen, and I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see them all. I would like them to fold in multiple lines. Is it possible to achieve this? If so, could anybody tell me how or give me some kind of an idea how to make it look decently.

I'm trying the exact opposite. When I leave a page and return, I want to have the previously selected tab still disclosed.
My managed bean scope is Session, but I still revert back to what I had before.
What is your managed bean scope or how are your retaining "sticky" tabs?

Infinite tab spamming problem

Ok i have a problem with firefox, i had it quite some time but it starts to get annoying.
The main problem is that sometime for some reason a file is being downloaded(usually with the name of a site i use or index-xx.php) and it doesnt stop opening more tabs, if i close firefox it will open a new one and keep spamming the tabs. I have to manage to close the download window fast because if i move slowly it puts in front of it the firefox window to open another tab or i can try to kill it with ctrl alt del
I am not sure how this is happening, sometimes i think i save the file by mistake when i press alt and choose a bookmark. And many times it happens when i try to enter gamereplays.org(not very stable site) and after some time of failing to connect it downloads an index-XX.php on (file:///C:/DOCUME~1/user/LOCALS~1/Temp/index-21.php) and doesnt stop spamming it, i just went to the temp folder and i found like 21 of thouse files...
Any idea what exactly causes it? or something i can disable to stop it

Nope they just use notepad automatically, but i think i fixed it.
In the options place i went to php and the action was to save the file, now i replaced with Ask, hopefully i wont have any problems

Mail folder problem

I just encountered a problem, where I changed the name of a mail sub-folder, thereby loosing all contained e-mails in the folder. This is obviously a problem in Mail.
OK, I moved up one step to the parent folder, entered time machine, went back a couple of hours and found my lost e-mails. Marked them (about ten e-mails in all) and hit restore.
Then everything froze, dead. Could not find any better idea than power off.

One thing that may help is to go to Mail Preferences, Accounts, and in your account under the Advanced tab select the check box for "Prompt me to skip messages over xxx kB" (where you indicate how many kB). This can reduce the download times by factors of 2 to 4 or more, depending on the size of the attachments.
I think the more specific control you are looking for that is analogous to what you can do on the iPhone and iPad might not be available on the computer versions of Mail.
Edit added: I just noticed that the above option is only available for POP accounts, but not for Exchange (IMAP) accounts, so unfortunately it may not apply to your account.

Configuring Watch Folder Problem - LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES

We bought the LiveCycle licensed version 8.2 installed in Linux machine.
LiveCycle PDF Generator ES and LiveCycle Reader Extension ES alone.
The person who installed was resigned from service, so this task has came to me.
I have just two question to all of them:
1. Configure the LiveCycle Reader Extension ES.
2. Create Watch folder concents for comment enabling purpose.
I have created an watch folder using the Services-->Applications and services-->Archive Management-->Samples - Reader Extensions - ReviewAndCommenting 1.0--> Configure.
The the configuring ReviewAndCommenting, "Security" tab "INVOKE_PERM" --> "allows Invocation of all operations on the Service", was checked.
Setting-->Trust Store Management-->Local Credentials-->update Credentials--> Reader Extensions Credential

Move mail attachment to specified folder - problem

Hi,
I am busy making a script that downloads the mail attachments to a specified folder so that Hazel can work further on the files.
Here is what i am trying to achive:
Only Jpg, Tiff, Doc, Docx, mp3's and PDF's are moved to a folder called: Mail Attachments in the downloads folder and renamed with a prefix to the the date email was send. For Hazel to work correctly i also want to add the senders headers to the spotlight comment.
So far all went well and i got a script working that does all these things.
Only problem that is occuring now that images are duplicate twice in the folder:
first file as i want: i.e. 20130711_RTP_1846.jpg and the second file is only named 2013 with no extension aswell.
This happens only with the images, not with for example an PDF.
Here is my script, by the way this is my first script and i copied, paste things i found online tweaking it to my wishes.

What strange is, that if i take out the part where the comment is filled with the header info, the script works fine producing only 1 file, but when i added this part of the script, i have the two files!
Script is activated by a mail rule when mail has an attachment.

The problem is subtle, but noticable in your screenshot (that was a stroke of genius).
Look closely at your screenshot. Note the file details below the image and you'll see the Name label:
"2013
07
11_130711RTP_1846.jpg"
Do you see the issue? It's not that the file is called '2013', it's called the entire expected file name, but with returns between the date elements. The problem is that return characters don't show in list view.
So why are the returns there?
That's because in the section of code where you build the comments you include the line:
                                        set AppleScript's text item delimiters to return
Then you build the file name:
                                                            set originalName to timeStamp & "_" & name oftheAttachment
Now the file name is technically a list of components (think of it as {originalName, timeStamp, "_", 130711RTP_1846.jpg} )
When this list is coerced back to a text object, AppleScript inserts the current text item delimiters between each element, which results in your multi-line filename.
The solution is actually a best practice when dealing with text item delimiters - always, always, always reset them when you're done.
In this case you only want to have returns in the comment, so you should restore the TIDs after you've built the comment:
set tid to AppleScript's text item delimiters
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to return
set _Comment to (_links as rich text)
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to tid
Now the TIDs will be set back to the default and you won't have the extraneous returns in the file name.

I am having the DCIM empty folder problem ..

The folder first showed that there were random folders with some pictures in them so I transferred them (the DCIM folder) (transferred to my computer), but there was only about 1/10 of my pictures that showed up.. now it says that the folder is empty after transferring the pictures that did show up. Where are all my other pics and how can i get them to show up? I have tried everything listed on other posts with same problem but none of the solutions worked for me >.< My girls have filled the iPad's storage with video and pictures and I am trying to clear them out as there is NO storage space left -- without deleting the vids/pics!

also forgot to add that on the iPad under photos it says there is none, but under Albums that is where the other pics are on the iPad.. does that make a difference about them not showing up in the DCIM folder?
