Table data entry error

Friends,
There are two fields in the ztable: one field that is the primary key and one more field.
I am entering value for the primary key field and I get the error:
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records. records in the data base.
Please let me know what is missing.

Hi,
The error is because there is already a similar record existing in the database.
Check if sy-subrc = 0 just after the select statement, which will indicate that the record already exists.
You will have to give different name (primary key) for inserting a new record.

The E-Recruiting Workflow after Data Entry Error enables you to change and internal or external application that was entered manually. If for example, you enter the application to the incorrect reference code, you can assign a different one. As a result the status of the original application is set to rejected with the status reason of "Replaced by new Application".
My question is why doesn't the candidacy also get set to rejected? Although the application is rejected, the candidacy is still in process and so this candidate will continue to show on the Candidate Shortlist for the requistion. There is nothing that I can tell that will stop a recruiter from continuing to recruit this candidate. I am thinking of changing the workflow to also reject the candidacy, but before I do that, I want to know if there is an error in my thought process here.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Set Field Focus After Data Entry Error

In a form created in Acrobat XI Pro (and distrubuted via Forms Central), I have various form fields (text, date, etc.). When the user performs a data entry error (e.g. incorrect date format based on date mask, etc.), the field focus is lost. The user must mouse-click into the field to set the field focus and re-enter their data. Is there any code that allows the app to return an error and set the focus back on the field returnign the error? Thanks / Todd

If you converted the PDF to a FormsCentral form then it's a FC issue, not a PDF issue...

How to read and display table data entries from ERP in CRM

Hello experts,
I am new to CRM. I need to read data base entries from ERP in CRM system. What would be the best way to do . The table is a standard SAP table with a custom include (several customer fields). Calling a web service would be the best way..? or is there any other way that I can do it too.
Also, to display these entries what would be the best tool? Should I built my own transaction/report to do it?
Any advise or guidance would be a great kick start to learn the CRM development environment.

Table data entry confusion

hi gurus i have a ztable with multiple entries. i have to delete some entries and add many new entries. what will be the best possible way of doing it? will i edit it in the dev server thru tmg and transport it to the prod / or will i edit it in the prod server at one go thru tmg . pls help

If the table is related to maintaining some global constants then its always better to transport through development system.
If the table is created for customer data maintanance you can chnage the table in production directly useing SM30.
In our project also we have some custom tables where in one table we are maintaining global constant values which we are adding that values in development systenm and transporting it to production.
And there is one more table where we are mantaining all customer data which we are changing based on the customer request directly in production from SM30.

Table - Data Entry?

Hi All,
I cannot find how to do this in Designer (It's a fillable PDF form). I have need of a table in which someone can add as many rows as needed for the following information:
Class Number - Class Name - Class Hours
I thought a table that would add lines as needed would be a good solution but I cannot figure out how to do this.

Well, I figured out how to create a table like this (with the help of LiveCycle help, which is somewhat difficult to use, I find).
Here is how I finally accomplished creating a table where you can add as many lines are required.
1. Add a table to your form by selecting the "table" tool out of the "library" that appears to the right of your screen. Drag the table onto the form. When the "insert table" box pops up, select "create table using assistant" (the second option), click "okay", then in "body layout" select "rows vary depending on data" and enter the number of columns you want (add one extra column for the button that will add rows at this point), then click next, if you want a header row, select this option (or not) and click next, select if you want a footer row and click next, select if your table will have sections or not (probably not for users entering data) and click next, then select if you want alternate row shading or not and click finish.
2. to add rows to the table:
Select the "button" tool out of the library and drag it over to the spot you want the button to appear (generally the left-most column, in the first body row). Change the caption of the button (under Object, Cell) to whatever you want, but "Add Row" is likely the most obvious.
Then, in the row above the form you are working on, change "show: initalize" to "Click" from the drop down list (this allows the button to be activated by clicking on it with your cursor.
Beside this, in the white strip, put the text "Table21.Row1.instanceManager.addInstance(1);" in this space and click the green button to the right to update the information. In this text, make sure the "Table" portion has the same number or title of the table that you have named it, i.e. if it is table 1, it will be "Table1.Row1....".
Beside this white row, change the "Language" to "Javascript".
At this point, if you check your table, you should be able to click on the button and add a row. Now you can format the table to whatever you like.
If you want the boxes to expand (i.e. flow) to accomodate data, make sure you make the entire table a subform, and each cell a text enterable field and click "expand to fit" under "height" in the layout menu for that field.
This should give you a table that the user can add lines to as they need them.

Date entry error in BI Integrated planning 2004s

Hello,
I am trying to fill a date field in BI Integrated Planning via mannual planning. The ratio was created as Dec type. When I introduce for example the value 01.01.2006 or 01/01/2006 and save the data, the new value is not saved in the infocube, so I suppose there is some kind of format issue. The same value in the former layout in BPS Web Interface was introduced as 01.01.2006.
Morever, if I introduce the value as 20060101 or 01012006, BEx is close immediatly with a fatal error message.
Other ratios in the layout like %of growth are save properly in the infocube.
I have installed SapGui NW 2004s SR1 Presentation - 6.40 Compilation 5 and SAP Netweaver 2004s BI AddOn Patch Level 801 (Bw700SP08P_801-10001615.exe).

In fact, I had already checked that the value was represented in BEx as 01.01.2005, after introducing the value from former Web Interface layout. However if I change the value to 01.02.2005 and save data, the value return to 01.01.2005. I don't think it is a definition issue, since other ratios in the same layout are defined with the same restrictions and are saved OK.
Moreover If I introduced 01012005 BEx is closed with "Business Explorer critical program error occurred. The program has to close. Please refer to the trace for further information" and of course that is not a good point for our final users ......

Data Entry Error

Aloha!
I'm doing some data translation(language translation to be exact) in one of our database. During translation I've notice some inconsistency on the data that I input, since I'm translating English to Vietnamese, some Vietnamese characters when entered are in "?" which means that the database can't read that certain character. I've tried to configure the character set to "VN8MSWIN1258" which is the char set for Vietnam but no success, still the same error/inconsistency.
Hope someone can share some enlightenment regrading this issue.

HCM P&F - Mass processes Fast Data Entry Error

Hi guys,
I have a new requirement to do a new mass process to save some IT data on several employees without Workflow related. First of all I have tried to understand how standard is working and I have checked one of mass process that system provides, in my case HR_PA_XX_MSP_ADDR_CHANGE process.
Unfortunately, when I execute start application ASR_MASS_START_PROCESS (configuration ASR_MASS_PROCESS_CONF) and select my process and more than one employee I'm getting a dump. This issue is not happening if just select one employee.
I'm going to attach some screenshots to clarify steps that I'm following.
Anyone has faced similar issues? It seems is a standard problem and I want to get some thoughts of you!

Hi Guyz...
I've been facing a few issues regarding activation of transfer structures.
I'll explain the whole process...so it makes sense to you guys.
I've initially activated the Transfer Structures in BI Content for Master Data. Later on we faced some issues in the DEV server. So we had to transport all the objects and store them locally on a temporary location. When the BI DEV sever, was up and running, we transported all the objects back to the server.
Now while moving the objects back to the sever. We had an errors in the Master Data Request (Log- Method Execution). After going into the log...this is what I found.

Delete entries for the data source in ROOSGEN, EDISEGMENT and EDSAPPL tables, both on ECC and BI sides.
Try activating the infosource again. This should solve your problem.

HFM tables for WDEF (Web Data Entry Form)

is there a way for understanding which tables are used by the HFM for storing the member selections of the WDEF (Web Data Entry Form)?
I was able to find only the table <application>_RPTS which contains the list of reports and folders I creted into the application.
Now, I would like to retreive the tables where the info related to the member selections are stored.
Can someone help me on this topic?

Evaluation Order should not be an issue.
Point 5 is a little worrying, what did you do to resolve the issue? does it refresh without any issues now?

Error while running PB40 - initial data entry action

Hi Friends,
I am running PB40 initial data entry action. The values that I am giving in the Personnel Officer field are not getting accepted.
Its giving me error : *Entry does not exist in T526 (check entry)*
I have checked T526 table in SE16 and its showing me all the values that have been maintained for my administrator group APPL.
"PINCH" feature is also maintained where the Tclas B- applicant data has value APPL.
In SU3 also, I have maintained SGR - APPL.
Please advise what else cab done to correct this error.

Mixed Data Type Table Control for Data Entry

Hi Guys --
I'm attempting to do error-checked data entry,
My data is mixed: path, boolean, and numeric. The natural organization is an array of clusters. For instance, the cluster element would look like "path, boolean, numeric, numeric" and I would have many rows of this data cluster. To further complicate things I have to dynamically define the number of numeric elements in the cluster (tricky already) and also dynamically define the length of the array.
I find the table control to be ideal to handle the dynamic nature of the data for editing. I can easily use scroll bars to navigate to the appropriate part of the data. I can delete rows and columns etc.
On the other hand, the table can only handle string data. I find that doing data checking and type conversion on the table elements to be extremely cumbersome.
I think what I'm looking for is a Table Control with ability to handle controls as elements. From what I've read in this list and personally experienced, that functionality doesn't exist.
Does LV have in-built functionality that I'm overlooking to resolve this problem? Is there a third-party library that would do the job?

I think perhaps that I wasn't clear in my description.
As I pointed out, my data is organized naturally as an Array of Clusters. More descriptively, my data looks like spreadsheet data; some text, some numbers. I need to add rows and columns dynamically. I need to be able to resize column widths dynamically... and while the program is executing.
The Table Control does all of this. The intuitive way that the Table Control permits a user to enter data is also good for my user. The Array of Cluster data looks like spreadsheet data and a Table looks close enough to a spreadsheet. A Table permits one to insert and delete rows, resize columns widths, and scroll around.
I don't see that I get these features with an Array of Clusters Control.
The issue with the Table Control is the lack of in-built data types, so I spend an inordinate amount of time doing type-conversion and range-checking.
At this point I'm pretty much convinced that LV doesn't have the in-built capability that I'm looking for.
I am curious if there are any LV libraries or Active-X controls somewhere that would implement the functionality that I require?
