Table Maintainace generator

Hi Experts,
I have created a tcode which is assinged to table maintaince generator of a table.in that table maintainace generator screen
when i click on new entries and when i enter data in the first field and press enter the cursor should automatically go to the second field and so on and when i enter the value in the last field and press enter the entry should automatically get saved. is there any possibility to implement this requirement because the code is generated automatically when i created the TMG.

Hi,
Go to your function assign to the TMG and you can use module LISTE_SHOW_LISTE to jump to the next column
using get cursor and set cursor.
and you can use module LISTE_UPDATE_LISTE to update or save your data on enter.

I have 27 fields in my Z-table but when I run tranaction code for table maintanance generator it shows only 8 fields.
I want to show all 27 fields in my tranaction code of table maintainace generator.
How I can Achieve this?

But still in program PBO of screen it showing 8 fields as follows:

I created table maintainace generator but while executing this in SM30.

I created table maintainace generator but while executing this in SM30 it's giving following error. Error message " Conversion error"
The program has been interrupted and cannot resume. Program "SAPLZ_DEV_AC_DAT_MOE" attempted to display fields on screen 0001.
An error occurred during the conversion of this data.
Table has following fields:
MANDT          MANDT     CLNT     3     0     Client
YEAR1          CHAR     4     0     Year
SOLD_TO_PARTY     KUNRG     CHAR     10     0     Payer
MATNR          MATNR     CHAR     18     0     Material Number
JANACP          CURR     15     2     Jan Accural Plus.
and reference field for JANACP is VBRK-WAERK.

Hi,
you have a field of type amount and need a referring currency field. You have chosen a VBRK field, but in SM30 you have no connection to a special VBRK entry because of a missing connection on key field VBELN.
Either you create a currency field in your table, or (if possible) you have to add a foreign key relation to VBRK with a fixed VBELN (existing on all systems) to get the VBRK currency. But the second way is no good idea!
You need a currency to get the right decimal point for your amiount.

           Hope all are doing good.
           I am recently working on ECC 6.0 and i want to create table maintainance generator for a ztable. Actually i hav created function grp and passed in sm30 transaction and used single screen. Problem is when i double clicking the screen number its going to se 51 and going to a standard progam named with function grp
SAPLZNEWFUNCTION. From i m confused but in that already some standard code is maintained. But there i hav created screen comprising our ztable fields..
From there i m confused .. how to link with ztable and how to create standard transaction for entering data into that screen and updating the ztable.
Frnds i hav seen so many documents .. i dont need documents ..plzz guide me with proper steps for achieveing target.

Here is the steps for making table maintaince generator ...
Creating Maintenance Views
Procedure
1.Enter an explanatory short text in the field Short text.
You can for example find the view at a later time using this short text.
2.Enter the primary table of the view under Tables in the Tables/Join conditions tab page.
Only those tables that are linked with the primary table (indirectly) with a foreign key can be included in the maintenance view.
3.If required, include more tables in the view. In a maintenance view you can only insert tables that are linked to one another with foreign keys.
Place the cursor on the primary table and choose Relationships. All existing foreign key relationships of the primary table are displayed. Select the required foreign key and choose Copy. The secondary table used in such a foreign key is included in the view. The join conditions derived from the foreign keys (see Foreign Key Relationship and Join Condition) are displayed.
You can also insert tables that are linked by foreign key with one of the secondary tables that was already inserted. To do this, place the cursor on the secondary table and choose Relationships. Then proceed as described above.
For maintenance and help views, there are certain restrictions on the foreign keys with which the tables can be included in the view (see Restrictions for Maintenance and Help Views). The foreign keys violating these conditions are displayed at the end of the list under the header Relationships with unsuitable cardinality.
4.On the View fields tab page, select the fields that you want to copy to the view.
Choose Table fields. All the tables contained in the view are displayed in a dialog box. Select a table. The fields of the table are now displayed in a dialog box. You can copy fields by selecting them in the first column and choosing Copy.
All key fields of the primary table must be included in a maintenance view. In addition, all key fields of secondary tables that are not involved in the foreign key (that is, which are not linked via a join condition to a key field already included in the view) must be included in the view.
This ensures that the records inserted with a maintenance view can be written correctly in the tables contained in the view.
5.On the Selection conditions tab page, you can (optionally) formulate restrictions for the data records that can be displayed with the view (see Maintaining Selection Conditions for Views).
The selection conditions define the data records that can be selected with the view.
6.In the Maintenance status tab page, define the maintenance status of the view.
The maintenance status defines how you can access the view data with the standard maintenance transaction (SM30).
7.Choose   activate
8.Go to Transaction SE54 with Environment ® Tab.maint.generator.
From the view definition you can generate maintenance modules and maintenance interfaces that distribute the data entered with the view to the base tables of the view. You can find more information in Creating a Maintenance Dialog.

Can i transport the table and table maintainace generator and function group of the table with in single request or not.
One more thing is when i transport the table maintainance generator,will the entries also be transport to another system or not.

Go to SE54-> Utilities-> Total Transport. The following things are transported.
The total transport transports the complete maintenance dialog:
authorization group
authorization group assignment
control entry
events
function groups
maintenance objects
variants
Content wont be transported it seems.

Issue with data dictionary -Table maintanance generator

Hi all,
I have an issue with Data dictionary, table maintenance generator. I have entered some records in a custom table (ZBCSECROLETOGRP) and changed the delivery class from C to A. When I create the table maintainance generator, I am encountered with the following errors:
1)Field ZBCSECROLETOGRP-PORTALGROUP shortened (new visible length: 000032)
2)0012 could not be generated
3)In TCTRL_ZBCSECROLETOGRP field LENGTH has the invalid value 01
My main motto is to create the table maintainace generator and transport to the furthur systems .
Please help.

HI,
Regenerate the table maintenance by selecting the checkbox of "Modified field structure" => new entry & then save.
Also ensure that the new changes are not affecting old data bcz of data type changes. If that is the case, then delete the old records, regenerate table maint. & re-enter those records which you had deleted.

Table maintenence generator events

Hi experts,
    I am having a table in which I have implemented the table maintenence generator.The requirement is as follows:
Field A:User enters value 'aaa' using F4 help
Field B:Automatically gets populated with the short description corresponding to 'aaa'.
Here the short description depends on the selected value for field A.

No need to do your coding in events in your case. first of all you understand the internal table used in table Maintainace, The internal tables used are TOTAL and EXTRACT. These table are of string type so you will have to catch your value using offset. To write the logic to popualte the value is very simple in your case. You add one Module in PAI logic of screen of Table maintainance generator in that Module you poupalte the field. for example say for the F4 value of field MATNR you want to populate field MAKTX. then in the one custom PAI moudule you write like this.
SELECT SINGLE FROM MAKT
              INTO LF_MAKTX
              WHERE MATNR = EXTARCT+3(18)(If Material is the 2nd field after MANDT).
In PAI LOOP is done on EXTARCT internal Table which holds Records in run time.
This will solve your requirment If you are not having F4 help then you can create it by adding one event PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST writeen in Flow logic of screen.
We use event where we want to do some validation based on some reasons like Before saving the data in database or before displaying to do the validation of records from table TOTAL. there are diffrent events in Table maintaince but in your case it's not required..

1. specially function group.. what is its significance
When we generate table maintenance,
the system , based upon the table fields,
automatically,
generates
PROGRAM CODE, SCREEN FOR ENTERING DATA,
LOGIC FOR SAVING DATA, LOGIC FOR DISPLAYING DATA
ETC.
2. All this are BUNCHED under
a FUNCTION GROUP
(if you open that function group in se80, after
creatting table maintenacne,
u will see the program code, screens, gui status etc)
3. Hence, to BUNCH all these various objects,
SAP uses the concept of function group.
4. And also why do we need to give two screens there
Its not necessary to have to screens.
5. ONE SCREEN MEANS:
only one screen with table control to enter data
TWO SCREEN means :
first screen : only primary key fields will appear
second screen : rest of the fields will appear to enter data
6. When the table consists of many fields,
its practically more convenient to have two screens,
so that all fields come vertically downwards.
(instead of scrolling horizontally in the table
control, in case of one screen concept)
The use of the FG is only this the Table Maintainance Generator part. Neednt be declared anywhere else.

All fields are not found in Table Maitainence Generator

Hi all,
I have create a table with ZPFT_TRAY with 6 fields and created table maitainence generator for the table.
But when i check in SM30 i can see only 5 fields in Table maitainence generator.
will anybody let me know why it is showing only five fields.

Hi madhavi,
do one thing delete your old table maintenance generator and again create a new TMG , generate it properly and save it and then check in sm30. and if u have defined your own data element then fill the field label of that data element and activate ur table. because when ever you do any modification in your Ztable then you have to create again table maintenance generator othervise your modification will not reflect in sm30.

My Scenario is:

I need to create an event for my table maintenace generator such that when the field land1 is filled, the landx field should take its data from t005t table. and the ladnx field should be display only, it can not be modified in table maintenance.
How can i create an event in table maint. gen? How am i going to do it?

Hi,
As mentioned in the last post go to the event screen by
Environment --> Modifications --> Events.
There you click on new entries and try writing your logic for event 21 i.e. after selecting 21 give some name of your event and write down the logic how you want to do this.
If event number 21 does not work then try 1. One of these two should work.

Using events in table maintenace generator, you can validate the fields, update the fields etc..There are events(01-New Entry), (02-Before Save); (03-After Save) etc... The respective events trigger on the action performed.
To create events : Goto table maintenace generator screen->Enviorement->Modifications->Events.
Select the from the list of events and peform based on ur requirement

Disable delete button in Table Maintainance Generator

It is very interesting question. If you debug your table maintenance screen, the program of table maintenance screen will not have statically defined pf status. So you cannot exclude delete functionalities using the below statement.
SET PF-STATUS <the GUI status> EXCLUDING 'DELE'.
For viewing pf status SAP has programmed in dynamic manner using this FM VIEW_SET_PF_STATUS.
Before calling above FM you need to exclude delete function. Follow the following step for achieving this
Go to sm30. Put your table name and press on maintain push button. It will display table entries in maintenance screen.
Go to system->status
Click on program name.
Go to your flow logic of you table maintenance screen number.
It will have following code in flow logic
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE LISTE_INITIALISIEREN.
LOOP AT EXTRACT WITH CONTROL
TCTRL_ZMAINTAIN CURSOR NEXTLINE.

Basically sap fetching status dynamically from program SAPLSVIM using FM VIEW_SET_PF_STATUS. Status name is EULG.
Please donu2019t hardcode anything by using set pf status statment, you just add one line of code the PBO by creating new module.

Table Maintenance Generator - Function Group regeneration issue

I have table maintenance genertor in a function group that contains lot of tables . I by mistable regenerate the whole function group using table mainteance generator.
Now i want to check which of the programs changed during the regenerator. I am looking for some sap table that contains all the changed objects and their transport number.
Please rememebr i have still not released the transport,
I have checked E071, E071, VRSD . That contains the entry for function group and does not contains the programs inside the function group changed
