Table of Rates Used in Projects

Hi
We're reviewing Rate Utilization and I'm trying to determine if some Rates have ever been used in any of our projects.
I'm guessing the simpliest way would be to query a Table.
Does anyone know which Table I should be looking at, this would be for every project on our system

Hi Panduranga,
if rates are used in a project their references are stored in tables
- DPR_TASK and
- DPR_PART
for taskts and roles, respectively. And if you query those two tables for field RATE being not blank, you'll find those tasks and roles that utilise rates.
If you want to check if role-types have been customized to use a rate you'd have to check table DPR_PART_ROLE, and similary, to check for task-types it'd be table DPR_TSK_TYPE.

I assume you want project to have a default cost rate, so why not set the cost rate details into A to begin with, You could then set this as a template from which you initiate all your new projects see FAQ

Freeze Frame Duration Selection Is Incorrect When Using PAL Projects ?

I have done a search of the FCE and FCP forums but can find no information. This was originally posted in the FCP forum but is equally applicable to FCE.
Over here in Europe an apparent bug has been noticed connected with FCP 5.1 and FCE 3.5 (which is based on it) when using PAL projects.
To begin with, the default Freeze Frame time in the User Preferences is 12 seconds yet when stills appear in the Browser they are the normal 10 seconds.
If the duration in the Preferences is altered, the actual time of the picture in the Browser or Timeline is always five sixths of the time set.
This curiously is the same figure you get if you compare NTSC and PAL frame rates. PAL has five sixths the number of fps as NTSC.
So if in the preferences I set 6 seconds, I get 5 seconds in the Browser. Three seconds gives an actual time of around two and a half seconds and so on.
I must stress that it is only FCP 5.1 and FCE 3.5 that appear to be affected.
Earlier versions eg. FCE 1.0.1 and FCE 3.0 behave perfectly.
We don't know the situation with FCP 6 as we have not yet had the opportunity to test it.
You can replicate the problem by altering your Easy Setup to DV-PAL and look at the Freeze Frame Duration in the preferences.
Then import a photo into the Browser.
Alter the duration in the preferences and import another photo.
I am sure you will see that there is a large discrepancy between the chosen duration and the actual.
Is this a known problem and is there a simple way around it ?

CORRECTION !
It has been pointed out that the Freeze Frames are NOT affected by this bug - only the IMPORTED STILL PICTURES.
Incidentally, for any PAL user whose maths is not too good (like mine), here is a table of corrections:-
Freeze Frame Discrepancy.
From Final Cut Pro 5.1 and Final Cut Express 3.5 onwards there is a bug that makes the chosen Freeze Frame time WHEN IMPORTING STILL PICTURES differ from the actual time when using PAL settings.
This table tells you what time (in seconds and frames) to set your preferences in order to achieve an actual time:-

Creating a table in Excel using ActiveX functions

I am new to labview and have have a project where i need to create tables in labview using activeX, i cannot seem to get the Invoke node Table (under range) to work, any help would be much appreciated.

This question is not related to LV at all. So in general, this question is more for MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network).
That being said, here the steps you have to implement in LV:
Open Automation Server Excel._Application
Set property Visible to true (otherwise, you won't see the result unless you save the workbook)
Create a Workbool
In the Workbook, create a Worksheet (that's what you call a "table")
That's it.

PS: Due to "reference lifetime", you want to keep the VI running (e.g. event based waiting for a button press) otherwise Excel will shutdown as soon as you release the reference to Excel._Application.

So far I have tables EKKO, EKET, and EBKN? I want to find out what project an RFQ belongs to.

The link will never be to PROJ - remember PROJ is not an account assignment (controlling) object. No cost can be posted to a project definition
The cost objects in PS are WBS and network activity (network header is rarely used)
So in the tables look for WBS or Network Activity
Once you get the object you can get the hierarchy and determine the project definition

CAn any one help me to upload data to V_T510_C by uning LSMW.
i need to update table with rates for the dates 01.01.2010 to 31.12.2010 and 01.01.2011 to 31.12.9999 to each group and level.
For eg:
payscale type 04, payscale area:04,Payscale group z000 and level 01.
for above record rates - 01.01.2010 to 12.31.2010 is 29.1 USD
01.01.2011 to 12.31.9999 is 30.01 USD,.
Like this i need to upload for all records with different dates and rates.
Please let me know how to create the LSMW record for above senario..

I believe it is not convenient to describe LSMW creation process on this forum. Please refer, for example, to this document to learn about LSMW: http://www.scmexpertonline.com/downloads/SCM_LSMW_StepsOnWeb.doc
Then you can create your own LSMW using recording with transaction SM30 and table V_T510 (every time record only 1 record in the recording).

Would you like to change the frame rate of the project to 30 to match to m

I just now moved some film clips from the Event Library to the Project Library and a white message window appeared saying: *MISMATCHED FRAME RATES. The frame rate of t his cli is 30 and the frame rate of the project is 25. Would you like to change the frame rate of the project to 30 to match the clip? And two radio buttons: Don't Change and Change.
First of all, the other day I set my Sanyo VPC-HD2000A to shoot film at 1280 x 72 at 30 fps SHQ. Now I just checked and it is set at the topmost red zone960 x 540 at 30fps. The only thing I can think of to explain this is that I selected it but did not "set" it.
Thus now I have a message asking what I noted above. Should I click CHANGE?
WHY IS THE FRAME RATE OF THE PROJECT SET AT 25? How did I do that? What did I do that caused me to have a project that is set at 25 fps?????

A side issue is to find out why I set my Sanyo VPC-HD2000A at one rate (above) but now see that all the footage was shot at a different rate. Very very frustrating.

It all began inside the settings of my Sanyo VPC-HD2000A when somehow the selection got switched from 1280 x 720 to that other setting with so-called 25fps. Also, I don't know whether the mishap occurred before or after I took my new footage.
I edited the clips last night and now they are on my blog and channel and they seem ok but slightly fuzzy.
I used a Sanyo VPC-HD2000A .7x wide angle lens with macro and I notice that when I zoomed in to the little sun conure, the picture blurred. I think that might be something that happens when one zooms the focus.
Also, I was born and raised to a teenager in Hawaii, but now Southern California has me in its grip.

Message no. SOLAR_SPROJECT055 - Logical component Z_CHARM_PT is not used in project CHARM_PT01
I used this logical component in a previous solman project and it worked. Now I have closed that project and am trying to create a new one using the same logical component.

Hi abdelhady,
I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.
