Table overset issues

I have recently updated from InDesign 5.5 to the latest Cloud version and all of a sudden I am having problems with tables becoming overset.
For instance I have a table that has text in a cell that says "Maximum Horizontal distance between Clamp centres" and I am changing the "c" to "C" on the last word, but even if I only delete the "c" the table becomes overset and all but the top row of body cells disappear to overset.
What is the problem?
Note I can make the box as large as I want and it still will not appear until I create a new overflow frame.

If you still have 5.5 installed, open the file there and export it to IDML
and open that in CC. If you saved over the CS5.5 file, this won't be
possible.

Indesign CS 5.5 Table overset text issue?

In Indesign CS 5.5 , I find strang issue on my File. I created table with single text frame, end of table, notes was there (Out side of table). When I add the below space to table through Table Option, The notes went to overset text. Though I have enlarged the text frame, not worked, Later I clicked the oversert icon and created new textframe placed then the notes appear. when I delete the text frame again text gone to sit in the exact place.
What is the accual Issue?

Your setup looks very simple and should not cause issue however I think the issue is Space After value , if this value exceeds so that the text couldn't be accomodated in InDesign then it will be overset.
Making the new text frame will fix it as there will be enough space.
What if you reduce the Space after value to "0" , does the text appears below the table or is it still overset ?
Would like to see the screen shot (with Hidden character enabled) of the pages with and without issue, to understand it better.

In BI Publisher RTF table layout issue for invoice printing

Hi,
I am working on check printing and invoice printing project on bi publisher and i am facing one issue. That is i have used section break on check priting so because of that if the the records are more than 20 then check will print on second page and on first page there would be void printed othervise it should print on first page only. In this case the preprinted stationary is not having invoice table form. we are using blank preprinted stationary to print this .
Now i have done with invoice and cheque layout but in output if the number of records are more than 20 then its going to second page but the problem is that invoice table break into two parts and and the end lineof table layout is not coming on first page .even on second page i am not getting start layout line to make complete table outline.
I want that full table layouton both the pages of the table. i have tried to to create table skeleton and used it as a watermark to print all the records on it but it is coming in to the middle of the page .so it not working.
Please anyone knows the solution on this problem please let me know or share your thoughts on this issue.

Hmmm ... sounds like a regression bug.
I would contact support, provide, the version you are using, layout template, sample XML data, 2000 RTF output and 2003 RTF output and ask them to investigate.

Note that the sy-tabix system field is populated by the assigned secondary index, if sorted secondary keys are used. If this value is used for the subsequent index access to the internal table, the same table index must be explicitly used here. If used implicitly, the value would be interpreted as a primary index.

problem:
(we have 2 panels) of vertical
when i run this application it is working fine. But when we minimise the browser(half size) or if we add more no of toolbars in browser (important) obviously browser size will decrease,
that time 1 panel getting decreased second panel is maintaing fixed size, not resizing.
I tried to give fixed size (percentage) for both panels wt ever the operation does.

problem: that time im getting by default horizontal and vertical scrollbar, but if user add toolbars in browser (view->customize)add toolbar no of say 10-15 that time window size decreasing
so, table size is crossing panelbox size, and bottom scrollbar is not visible (hiding under site bottom layout say site is divided into 4 parts (leftmenu, body(2 panels), right, bottom) (im not using any right layout)

Short dump-internal table size issue

Hi,
I get the following message in the short dump analysis for a report.
No storage space available for extending table "IT_920".
You attempted to extend an internal table, but the required space was not available.
Error Analysis:
The internal table "IT_920" could not be enlarged further.
To extend the internal table, 9696 bytes of storage space was
needed, but none was available. At this point, the table "IT_920" has
1008240 entries.
Its an old report and I saw the internal table declaration using the "OCCURS" clause in the internal table declaration.
begin of itab occurs 100.
end of itab.
I tried the option of changing to "OCCURS 0", still issue persists.
Any help would be highly appretiated

Hello CMV,
This is basic problem with SAP internal tables. For every internal table memory is alocated ( Max..256K)...once you cross the memory size/limit of the internal table it resuls in short dump.
Only way to overcome this problem is handle limited number of records at a time..
Please refer following sample code which will help you to avoid short dump while processing large number of records....

Adf table columnStretching issue when using with in panel splitter

My Scenario is like this:
I have used adf table with columnStretching to last column of table. And the table is placed at second facet of panelSplitter. On load it covers full area of second facet which is pretty good. When try to collapse panelSplitter, arround 2 pixel of horizontal scrollbar appears at bottom. Even on uncollapse the panelSplitter to original orientation, the extra space remains there which makes horizontal scrollbar with 2 pixel gap for movement at bottom of table.
Is Anyone facing this kind of issue? And how can I solve the issue?

I am using FF, Chrome and also IE in different compatibility mode. While wrapping with panelCollection it works fine. But the menu bar section and status bar is introduced on panelCollection which I cannot use in my work.

ADF Table filter issue with OR or AND input value

Hi all,
adf:table filterable fields for OR or AND input value not works. Actually One of column is for State and it has "OR" value for -> OREGON State.
and I tried using filterModel and queryListener for table attribute. But I am not getting exact clue where I need to fix for this issue. Any suggestion and help is appreciated greatly.

JSF Table StyleClass issue for a specific Field inside the Table

Am having an issue of dynamically setting the styleClass for a specific field inside a DataTable. Here is how the JSF code is ..

This Table has a specific column which has a input Text Box where user enter's data. This data will be validated in the bean where in after the validation if its exceeding a limit we should throw an error message and also highlight the field with a specific styleClass.
I am setting the StyleClass dynamically based on the User Input, so that I can display a highlited Error Field on the screen. Strangely enough, styleclass is getting set as expected for the first submit but doesnt show any styles for further submits. Even the existing style is getting removed from the second submit onwards. I am setting this "customStleClass" dynamic parameter as a Bean Property. Am sure these values are properly set coz to make sure I have put an h:output tag inside that table to display the customStyleClass values and they are getting set as expected but I see blank value for the class="" in the source of the Page.
Any help would be appreciated.

One option is you find the data element of that field GUID.
Now go to SE11 transaction and in data type put that data element and press where used list. In that select tables.
This will give you a list of tables where that field is used.
But again if there are lots of them it will be difficult to find.
The only option in that case is debug the extractor and find out.

Table Control Issue

Hi all,
          I had a issue where in when I display some records in the table control, it is showing the records and the rest of the records are going into grey mode.
For example, Iam getting 3 records into the table control. From the fourth line of the table control, it is displaying the grey color.( I mean disable mode).
I have a requirement where the end user must have the facility to enter the records manually also.
So, How to make the grids of the table control in such a way we can enter some data manually along with the imported data.
Please let me get some ideas.

    calc_fill = tab_fill MOD 7.   {color:red}" Initial 7 rows are available in the table for input u can change this as per you requirement or the no. of rows initially available in your screen{color}
    IF calc_fill = 0.
     add_fill = tab_fill / 7.
     add_fill = add_fill + 1.
     no_lines_add = 7 * add_fill.
      tc_rate_card-lines = no_lines_add. {color; red}" tc_rate_card ----> Table control name{color}

By this way you can get rid of the ADD button since as soon as the 7th row is filled with data it adds up more 7 rows in the table control which are read for input.

Table footer issue in body page of adobe form

Form has 1 master page and 1 body page. Body page has table within which there is a footer header and detail (2 footers) in the form. My intention is to make footer (both the footers) appear in the last page of the form. For most of the scenarios, footer is displayed at the last page or if it has only 1 page to display, it shows in the first page itself.
But issue arises when number of rows reaches the maximum length of body page. Let's say, body page can accommodate 11 rows, then footer header is displayed in 1st page but footer detail is shown in next page (2nd page). I want to show both of these in the last page with 11th record in the last page without any break.
I've tried below options:
1. Group both footers as a section and check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
2. Mark both the footers individually with check "Include footer row in final page" in pagination tab.
Is there any other option that I need to look for to solve this issue?

I've one more question relating to this. Let's say I can only display 11 records in one page with these 2 footer. For 12 records, 2nd page shows last record with these 2 footers. 10 records will be displayed in one page properly. But when it comes to 11 records, 1st page shows all of 11 records and 2 footers with a page header will be shown in 2nd page. Is there a way to control this dynamically so that whenever 11th record needs to be shown, even though body page(or subform) can accommodate 11 records, show the 11th in 2nd page with footers?

Internal table Memory Issue Exception TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

Hi experts,
I am working on a conversiojn programme. This programme is dealing with 4 input files.
Each of these files is having more than 50,000 records. I am reading the corresponding application server files to fill
the internal tables related to these files.
The files are being read properly and internal tables are being filled.
However when i try to assign any of these 4 internal tables to other temproray internal tables in programme(requirement)
i get a dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED.
The dump is related to memory issue.
I think The memory available in the programme at this point is not sufficient for table assignment.
Please suggest any alternatives where i can save any memory .
Changig of basis setting is not an option.

I am not agree with you , I am agree with Hermann.
While writting file you restrict the record max 5,000 to 10,000 records and process don't store the mutch data into internal table.
After every used refresh the internal table, Declare table where necessary.
But you can try to avoid the copy cost.

I have one internal table :
I_DAT - This is related to Loading/Unloading of Goods.
for example with 3 fields
VSTEL, KUNNA, KMMANG.
Now suppose my data looks like this after sorting:

Here 100,200,300,400 are Loading points.

Now what i want is For loading & Unloading points i need to pick up Address and print one after other.
But how they need to print is:

FIRST STOP: FOR LOADING OF
ADDRESS- For 200
SECOND STOP: FOR LOADING OF
ADDRESS- For 300
Etc .....
Then
FOR UNLOADING OF:

We might get as many records :
Can any body give me the logic:
Printing Address is not a problem:
But Above every address we need to print FIRST STOP, SECOND etc like that.

Table break issues

Hey All,
I have been a user of Pages for many years and I love it. I have slowly transitioned from the "old" to the new Pages 5 and things seem to be getting better with each update. I have an issue that I cannot seem to fix and I am hoping that someone here A) has a solution or B) I can submit a tick to apple to get this table issue solved. So, here is my problem. I have a table that is many pages long and the table is not breaking between the merged rows, but just breaking inside the actual merged row and then continuing it on the next page. I know it is breaking on one of the non merged rows, but I want the break to be dictated by the merged rows on the left side. The result is that letters and sentences in the left merged row cells are literally being sliced in half. Here are two pics so you can see what I am talking about (one is the table not selected and the other is the table selected). I know I could put in manual page breaks, but that is not a solution because as the data in the table changes, the whole document would not flow properly. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated
I am on a Apple MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel i7, 16 Gigs of RAM, running 10.9.3 and am using Pages 5.2(1860).

Gah!!! It seems it was an issue in Pages '09 (v4.3) as well. I just exported my working file and the same thing happened:
So I guess I need to put in manual page breaks in the table... Is there an easy way to split a table into two pieces?

Table Copy Issue on OS X

Copying data from a result-set does not work as expected.
If I type COMMAND-C, which is the default for OS X, the Table Cell gets openend.
I have to copy the contents with CTRL-C, which is not usefull at all, because one has to stumble accross this issue.
Looking into the Preferences-Pane, there is a shortcut for copying, that is set to COMMAND-C as expected.

I tried removing ~/.sqldeveloper but that didn't fix it.
I've worked around it by manually editing .sqldeveloper/system/oracle.ide.1.1.0/settings.xml as follows:
I found the delete previous char definition, which initially looked like:
