Table that lists InfoAreas, InfoProviders, Queries

Does anyone know if there's a table that I can get to in SE11 that has a list of Queries in the system?  I would like to get a list of all the queries on our system grouped by Infoarea and Infoprovider.
Thanks
JP

Hi,
table RSRREPDIR directory of all reports
OBJVERS 'A' and 'D' give the infos you needed !
If you restrict the selection for 'A' you will see all (only) the active queries ! Or do you want to see only the custom ones ?
or
Another way to display all active queries assigned to cubes/MultiProviders is to go to transport connection (rsa1) and then from menu chose Goto --> Where-used list and then pick your InfoProvider. You will then see all created queries and assigned workbooks. You are also able to see structures with assigned queries

    Hi,
You can find all entries related to scripts and smartforms in the table TNAPR.
Transaction code is NACE-choose the application for example EFOutput types button -- output type choose from the list and click procedures.
Here also you will get same lsit as you can see by TNAPR table.
you provide output type like BA00 for sales order ..etc
    while displaying entries.

How to make table that will include controls such as drop list?
I need to create table as Property Browser of ActiveX, that include rows with differnt types such as drop list, color, ...

    Hi Nadav,
I figured out where I missed your point. When you wrote
table as Property Browser of ActiveX, that include rows with differnt types such as drop list, color, ...
    I was thinking mixed data-types in a [2d] table!
Looking at the property browser again it looks like no single LV function can do all of that. It can be developed as a pop-up (like the browser is set-up) and then code all of the elegance using an event structure to control the background color of a string indicator while controling the visability of rings that are only made visable when a mouse down is detected. That will get you pretty close.
So no, my previous response ws not correct for what you are trying to do if you want to duplicate all of the wistles and bells of the property browser pop-up window.
    Please forgive my distraction.

  • How to list all  tables that belongs to the current user?

    hi all
"select tblowner, tblname from tables where tblowner in (select user from dual);"
I want a list of all tables that belongs to the current user. I use the SQL above, but given "no rows selectd",but if
I replace the subquery with literal, like
"select tblowner, tblname from tables where tblowner = 'JFMDB');".
    I got the list. why?
    Thnk u very much!

This looks like a bug that was fixed in 7.0.5.13 and onwards. I can reproduce what you are seeing in 7.0.5.10.0 (Linux x86-64 / Access control enabled instance from root install) but not 7.0.5.13.0 (Linux x86-64 / Access control enabled instance from root install).
Unfortunately I don't have a bug number to pass on. I can't see anything relevant listed in the Release Notes and I haven't found a likely candidate in our internal listings. This may well have been one that was fixed "in passing" when RnD were working on something similar.

  • How to know the List of Tables that are updated through a ABAP Program

    Hi,
Is there a program or something that will help me to identify the List of Tables that are used in a ABAP program(ABAP Report, Transaction .... program) without debugging it or looking at the dictionary structure.

    Hi,
I created a Z-transaction for my SE49 and debugged a little bit - it's not so fantastic any longer - just like the proposal of SE80 - DDIC list.
SE49 (and I guess similiar functions, too) just scan the source code for a list of key words: tables, select, update, insert, modify, export, import.
But very (very!) often updates are encapsulated into function modules - and here this technical cross reference (just like SE80 DDIC list) is of no help.
So a SQL trace (or runtime analysis) is still the best option to get a complete list. Still these tools just analysis one process - if in other circumstances more tables are involved, can't be judged.
    E.g.:
    - creating one new entry: 1 table
    - changing existing entry: 2 accesses to 1 table + log table

  • Workaround for select queries on table that is being modified by trigger?

    Hi,
suppose I have a table orderitems, to store which products a customer has ordered. Orderitems has a referential key to the product table.
Furthermore, there's a relationship between products. If you order some products, you'll get some other product for free. For example, if you order product A, you get B for free.
So in the 'before insert' trigger of orderitem, I check if I'm inserting an A, and if so, insert a B as well.
So far, so good. But now I want to check if a B is not already present in the order, for there may be only one B in each order.
So in the 'before insert' trigger of orderitem, I want to query orderitem to see if there's already a B present.
Oracle does not allow me to do this (table that's being modified may not be queried). How can I workaround this problem?
I definitely need to do this in a trigger, since I don't want to rely on the applications for handling this. It should be transparantly handled by the db.
    Ideas?
    Greetings,
    Ivo

  • How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it.

    I have two questions.
    questions 1
How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it by using a query on the whole database?
    questions 2
How would i list all of my cars names in my database not showing duplicates?
I have tried, tried and tried some more to get both of these, but I guess i don't know how to query a specific word.
I also don't know how to query everything in just 1 column name.
If anyone could help with these that would be great I have been trying queries for over an hour now and no luck.
    Thanks

I tried the all_tab_columns, just like you did it, however that just gives me the column name I am looking for what is not in a column.
For example I need to find all the tables where mustang is not = 'red' but using a single query i need to find all of the tables.
    As for number 2
I am looking for something like this
    select distinct column_name
    from all_tab_columns
where column_name ='AcertainColumn';Now I'm even more confused. In your example, is MUSTANG a column name? Or is it the value of a MODEL column in the CARS table? And how could that possibly relate to something that exists in multiple tables?
If your data model is at all reasonable, I would expect that you would just want
    SELECT *
      FROM cars
    WHERE model = 'Mustang'
AND color != 'Red'but I can't see how this would relate to data stored in multiple tables.

  • IDT BICS Connection Slow Listing Infoareas

    Hi,
We are having an issue when we create a BICS connection and trying to browse to select a query it takes a long time to list infoareas, cubes, and queries. Our environment is BO4 SP6P1 against SAP BW 7.3. When we use the search feature to find a query it never completes. Is anyone else seeing this? Does anyone know the workflow of servers that are used to list this information? Do the DSL service or Tomcat come into play?

    Hi
I suspect it's related to network issue...If possible check with other regins users also have same issue.
if you increse bandwidth speed ...it may take less time.

  • List of all queries in the system

    Hi all
<b>I want to get a list of all QUERIES in my BW system and the details of the DATA TARGETS (cube or ODS) on which they are made.</b>
Can i get it from any TABLE or TRANSACTION? or will i have to go to each query ( grouped by INFOAREA) to do the same. This i felt will be very tedious. Please advise.
    Regards,
    Pradyut.

    Hi Pradyut,
Use this table instead - RSZCOMPIC. Give the selection parameter as cube/ods technical name and the version as active.
This would give the list of technical name of the queries for a Cube/ODS. To get the description of the query use the table RSZCOMPDIR -> give the technical name of the query as input parameter and get the desription. The description is stores in the COMPID field.
    Hope this helps.

  • Finding tables that contain a column

    Hi all,
I am a relatively new SQL user and am trying to figure out how to find all tables that contain a particular column, eg, 'cust_id'. I have tried a bunch of different things and searched on Google but I think I don't quite have/understand the syntax I need.
Also, how would I display a list of all the columns in all the tables?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    apex wrote:
Thanks for the input! I got my first question working.
I am still trying to understand basic ideas in SQL, eg what is the all_tab_columns in Raj's link, as usually I call something from a particular table. All_tab_columns is a view in the sys schema. There are several tables and views in the sys schema whose names start with user_ or all_ (or dba_, but you may not have privileges to see those) which are collectively called the Data Dictionary . They contain information about the database itself, including the tables in the database.
It states there that the ANALYZE command can be used to gather statistics for this view, but I have not been able to get it working.
Eg, in Oracle SQL Developer, I type in "help <analyze>" but it doesn't tell me what the syntax of this command is, I had to use Google which gives the following
    To estimate statistics:
    ANALYZE TABLE tablename ESTIMATE STATISTICS SAMPLE 30 PERCENT;
    To compute statistics:
    ANALYZE TABLE tablename COMPUTE STATISTICS;
But when I try the last one it just says
    table CUSTOMERS analyzed.
but I don't see any output, and if I try to use ANALYZE all_tab_columns; it gives me an error message. When you analyze a table, a message like "table CUSTOMERS analyzed" is all you expect to see. The main purpose of anlyzing isn't to produce a report for you to read (as helpful as thant might be) but to update the data dictionary, so that Oracle knows how to do queries efficiently. For example, if you have a query like
    SELECT  *
    FROM    patients
    WHERE   birth_date  = DATE '1981-07-28'
AND     state_abbr  = 'NY';How does the system decide whether to look for rows with the right birth_date first, or the right state? The statistics in the data dictionary might tell it that birth_date has many more ditinct values, so looking for a particular birth_date first will narrow down the search much faster than looking for a particular state.
By the way, the ANALYZE command has been deprecated. Unless you're using a very old version of Oracle, you should be calling the dbms_stats package instead:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/d_stats.htm#CIHBIEII
I am using Sam's teach yourself SQL in 10 minutes which is very good at the very specific commands and functions it describes but doesn't really orient me to the language, doesn't explain how to use the help functions, or any treatment of tasks not contanied in the book. If someone can recommend another source would appreciate it. Much thanks! That's the frustrating thing about books; you can't ask them questions. (On the other hand, that's one of the nice things about this forum.)
I can understand why the book doesn't say much about analyzing. The book is about SQL (e.g., how to create a table or write a query). Statistics are not in the scope of that book. Actually, they're not really in the scope of this forum, either. If you have questions about statistics, you're better off posting them in the "Database - General" forum:

  • How create temporary table from list of values

Can you anybody advise me how can I create temporary table from list of values? I have list of values and need create temporary table for next use with command JOIN etc.
    Thank you for help

NO, you can not create temporary table in oracle on the fly ( Like #Tabels in SQl Server or Sybase ) , you will have to use the GTT i.e Global Temporary Tables
check the following link GTT :
to flush the tables after commit
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE my_temp_table (
      column1  NUMBER,
      column2  NUMBER
) ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS;In contrast, the ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS clause indicates that rows should be preserved until the end of the session.
so to keep rows in Table after commit
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE my_temp_table (
      column1  NUMBER,
      column2  NUMBER
    ) ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS;

  • How to create a page that lists available Oracle Reports to execute?

    APEX Version: 3.2.0.00.27
    Database: Oracle 10g XE
Hello! I'm fairly new to APEX and adapting to the features and terminology related to this product.
I don't think this issue is unique to Oracle Reports, but rather the concept of a page that reads from table (maybe a "report?") to provide a result set of data which the user can click on a result to direct to another page.
In any case, I have a table in the database which stores all the attributes (report title, parameter names, RDF name, etc) of about 100 Oracle Reports. So far, I've successfully created an application page that features Items that are used to execute a single Oracle Report. Now, instead of creating unique individual pages for each of the 100 Oracle Reports, featuring the report's attributes (parameters, etc), what do I need to do just have one APEX page that dynamically reads from the table and builds the Region and its Items based on what's in the table? Furthermore, I would like to have an initial page that lists every report available to the user, which they can then click on the name, and then it will take them to the page that presents all the parameters needed to execute the report. How to do this? I understand there is a concept of List (under Shared Components), but it would be impractical to create a List and an entry for each report, and then branch to the parameter page...not to mention, whenever a report is added or deleted, the List would need to be updated.
Can someone give me some pointers on how to approach this? It doesn't seem all too complex, but I just don't know at this point what the most practical way of accomplishing this...not sure what kind of pages, region, items, etc to create.
Also, any reference books that you guys recommend on the ins/outs of APEX? I realize Oracle has documentation, tutorials, and OBE's on this product, but from what I've seen they aren't thorough enough in explaining what each property/attribute of the various objects that can be created in APEX.

but rather the concept of a page that reads from table (maybe a "report?") to provide a result set of data which the user can click on a result to direct to another page. You are on the right track with the idea of an initial page with a report region listing your reports as links. Not sure from the provided information if this out of the box capability will meet your actual requirement, but try the Create Page wizard > New page > Form > Form on a Table with Report as a first approximation.
instead of creating unique individual pages for each of the 100 Oracle Reports, featuring the report's attributes (parameters, etc), what do I need to do just have one APEX page that dynamically reads from the table and builds the Region and its Items based on what's in the table? If this can't be handled using the built-in Form on a Table with Report design pattern, it sounds like it will be possible using a dynamic form generated using the [APEX_ITEM API|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b32258/api.htm#BGBHDGAI] either as another report region or a PL/SQL Dynamic Content region.
Also, any reference books that you guys recommend on the ins/outs of APEX? [Pro Oracle Application Express|http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/159059827X/ref=sib_dp_pt#reader-link], the authors of which are active voices on this forum, is a good book.
