Table with InfoProvider Information
I am looking for a table that lists all InfoProviders in the BW system so I can get a list of our ODSs.
Does anyone know where I can find this?
Thanks!

Fact table enriched with hierachy information
Hi Guys,
I have a fact table design question.
The fact data table (oracle10g) on bottom level RelationshipManager (RM) contains the data columns
for the RM dimension:
FACT TABLE
ID¦RM¦DEPARTMENT¦AGENCY¦REGION¦SALES
1---23--Bronx------------NY---------US-------23232
2---24 ---------------------NY---------US-------87878
3---25-----------------------------------US------ 9999999
This means the fact has been enriched with hierachy information, this is not whats usually done.
Why have I done it? Because the RM is not necessarily always part of a department BUT can also
be directly placed under an agency or a region (agency or region leads).
Have I made the right choice by chosing to enrich the fact table? I could have also build a snow flake
schema by storing hierachy information in a seperate table.
Thanks.with your problem, it might be best to split the dimension into multiple dimensions or multiple attribute dimensions with default values where you do not have a value for example set up RM with a N0_RM and when you don't have data load it there. If I'm looking at this correctly, the problem it appears you have is you have an inconsistent hierarchy. where the rollups can change. having them in the same dimesion would be problematic. If therewere consistancy then you could add members into a single hierarchy something like
US
--No_State
--NY
-----Bronx
------RM23
------No_RM
but from your example I don't see it. If they are seperate dimensions(not attribute dimensions) then you could load based on date. If they are attribute dimensions, then look at varying attributes -
Table with information of BIDs from a vendor
Hello,
We are in a classical SRM 5.0 escenario and use the fucntionality BID invitations.
Im looking for tables where the information of a Vendor bid is stored in SRM.
Especially the acceptance or rejection indicators of a BID.
Thanks for any reply,
AartHi,
You can find all the info in tables BBP_PDHGP and BBP_PDIGP for all BID relatd info.
You could also use the foll FM's :
List of bids from a particular vendor:BBP_PD_QUOT_GETLIST
Bid details for a particular bid :BBP_PD_QUOT_GETDETAIL

Hello Anybody, I have a question. Can any of you please suggest me how to make an xml file from the database table with all the records?
Note:- I am having the XSD Schema file and the resulted XML file should be in that XSD format only. The Oracle documentation has a good overview of the options available
Generating XML Data from the Database
Without knowing your version, I just picked 11.2, so you made need to look for that chapter in the documentation for your version to find applicable information.
You can also find some information in XML DB FAQ -
Excel Table with Data Connection Manual Text Entry Misaligned After Refresh
Greetings!
I have an Excel 2010 workbook that includes a table linked to my SharePoint 2013 site by a data connection. The SharePoint list feeds the table standard information that's managed on the SharePoint site, but I need the user of the Excel workbook to be able
to enter text manually in the workbook to associate local information with the line-items coming from the SharePoint list. To do this, I've added extra columns to the end of the table.
The user can enter information in the appropriate cells in the "extra" columns at the end of the table, but when I refresh the data connection, the addition of a new list item on the SharePoint side results in the user's manually entered text getting
out of alignment with the row it's supposed to be associated with.
Example
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
Item 2
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 3
Then, if I add a new item to the list in SharePoint, for example, something that would appear between the original items 1 & 2, after refreshing the table, I get the following:
Column 1(SP)
Column 2(Extra)
Row 1
Item 1
Row 2
New Item 1.5
Text entered for Item 2
Row 3
Item 2
Row 4
Item 3
The table's data connection is set to insert rows for new items, and I could swear I had this working properly once upon a time...but I can't seem to make it work now.
Any thoughts on what would cause this?
Thanks in advance!Yes, it is. I realized after posting the first time, that I'd assigned the question to the Visio forum. I wasn't sure how to reassign to the correct (Excel) forum, so I re-posted over there:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b3bbe00c-94c0-48d4-bed9-fbd08d707b1d/excel-table-with-sharepoint-data-connection-manual-text-entry-misaligned-after-refresh?forum=exceldev -
How to select all the colomns_names from a table, with their datatypes ..
hi :)
i would like to know, how to select in SQL all the columns names from a table with their datatypes so that i get something like this :
Table 1 : table_name
the column ID has the Datatype NUMBER
the column name has the Datatype Varchar2
Table 2 : table_name
the column check has the Datatype NUMBER
the column air has the Datatype Varchar2
and that has to be for all the tables that i own ! ..
P. S : i m trying to do this with java, so it s would be enough if you just tell me how to select all the tables_names with all their colums_names and with all their datatypes ! ..
thank you :)
i ve heard it can be done with USER_TABLES .. but i have no idea how :( ..
Edited by: user8865125 on 17.05.2011 12:22Hi,
The data dictionary view USER_TAB_COLUMNS has one row for every column in every table in your schema. The columns TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME and DATA_TYPE have all the information you need.
Another data dictionary view, USER_TABLES, may be useful, too. It has one row pre table. -
No data found error on Form on a Table with report
Hi Everyone, I'm using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 on Windows 7. I built a Form on a table with report. Earlier I was using rowid as a passing parameter but then I had to change it to primary key column from report to form.
So in the "Fetch row process" I changed the "Items containing primary key value" and "Primary Key column" to P1004_PERSON_ID and PERSON_ID respectively. Which is my primary key.
My Form is working exactly fine but at on point it throws "no data found error".
I have a required date field in the form. So if the user doesn't fill in the date field and try to save the form, it throws the "Feild required error" and then when user enters date and try to save then it throws the error "No data found.". here is the snapshot... snapshot
How can I fix this error.I'm really stuck.
I checked debubber..it is as follows... in debughger it's still showing rowid. I don't know why. How can I fix that.

Now what I want to do is allow user to select rows on the table. Once they select a row I want to get that selected row and search SP list based on the selected value. Also I would like to make this table with search area to search records.
Can someone please help me to do this, or are there any easy way to do this. Sample code or useful link much appreciate.
Thank you very much.
d.n weerasingheInstead of writing in dive each and every time directly,
just have a div in html, and inside the while loop
write and store in the variable like
output += "<li><a href='#' style='display:none'>" + usernames[i] + " </a> "
+ "<table id='results' width='100%'>"
+ "
<tr style='border-bottom:1px silver solid;'>"
+ "
<td style='width:60px;height:70px;' >"
+ "
<img alt=\"profile pic\" src= '" + pictureuri[i] + "' style='width:60px;height:60px;'/>"
+ "
</td>"
+ "
<td >"
+ "
<table style='height:100%'>"
+ "
<tr>"
+ "
<td style='padding-padding-vertical-align:top;height:10px' >"
+ "
<a href='" + personaluri[i] + "' classq='ms-bold ms-subtleLink' style='color: gray; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold;'>" + tempnames[i] + "</a>"
+ "
</td>"
+ "
</tr>"
+ "
<tr>"
+ "
<td style='padding-vertical-align:top;height:50px;color:#ADAEAD;font-size:14px;' >" + deptNames[i]
+ "
</td>"
+ "
</tr>"
+ "

and finaly oyutside the loop
$(#div).html(output); -
How to create a table with more tan 20 columns
I created a A4 landscape document to make a calendar for the next year.
To add the date information I need to insert a table with 32 columns (name of month + 31 days). It should be possible to create a table with a over all width of 29.7 cm (consisting of 1 column of 4.9 cm and 31 columns with 0.8 cm)?
Remark: Yet reduced all indention's (? German: Einzug) and other spacers and the size of used font of the table.Hello Till,
unfortunatly Pages connot create a table with more than 20 columns. This is no question of size or place.
But you can create two tables, set the most right border of the fist table to "no line" and align the second table (with the other 12 columns) at the right side of the first table. Now you have "one" table with 32 columns.
I have done this with my driving book (Fahrtenbuch, um es korrekt zu schreiben and it works fine.

HOW TO CREATE A TABLE WITH 800 COLUMNS?
I have to create a table with 800 columns.I know the create statement to create a table but it will take more time.
So tell me the other method. If you really think that you have to store 800 values for a given entity, it would be a wise idea if you store you information in columnar fashion. Make a main table and a attribute table, keep the primary identifier in the main table and store other attributes in the attribute table where you can keep the primary key of the first table as foreign key (not necessary) to maintain the relationship.
eg.
emp_id
emp_name
dob
city
state
country
pincode
1
Mr X
01/01/1990
ABC
ZXC
MMM
12345
Can be stored as
Main Table
emp_id
emp_name
1
Mr X
Attribute Table
attr_id
emp_id
attr_nam
attr_value
1
1
dob
01/01/1990
2
1
city
ABC
3
1
state
ZXC
4
1
country
MMM
5
1
pincode
12345

How to Create a Table with Merge and partitions in HANA
Hi,
What is the best way to create a Table with MERGE and PARTITION and UNLOAD PRIORITIES.
Any body can you please give me some examples.
Regards,
DevaOk,
1) the UNLOAD PRIORITY has nothing to do with the order of data loads in your ETL process
2) Unloading of columns will happen automatically. Don't specify anything specific for the tables, then SAP HANA will take care about it
3) Not sure where you get your ideas from, but there is no need to manually "flush" tables or anything like that. SAP HANA will take care of memory housekeeping.
4) Partitioning and how to specify it for tables has been largely documented. Just read up on it.
5) Delta Merge will happen automatically, as long as you don't prevent it (e.g. by trying to outsmart the mergedog rules)
Seriously, I get the impressions that this list of requirements is based on some hear-say and lack of actual information and experience with SAP HANA. There are a couple of extensive discussions on data loading optimization available here in SCN and on SAPHANA.COM. Please read those first.
All this had been discussed broadly a couple of times.

Reading Data from a Table With an Expert
Hi all - I'm trying to write an Expert in OWB that would read data from a table and create a new table based on that information. I have the table creation part down, but how can I read data from a table with an Expert? From what I've read, Experts only deal with metadata, and there is no mechanism in Experts to actually read data in the tables. Does OraTcl work in Experts? Has anyone ever came across this problem, and if so, how did you solve it? Thanks in advance for your time! - Don
Hi Don
Can also use Java and JDBC from within Tcl, see the routines in this file below, take modify or whatever;
http://blogs.oracle.com/warehousebuilder/ombora.tcl
source <dir>\ombora.tcl
set g_user scott
set g_upwd zzzzzz
set g_hostname localhost
set g_port 1521
set g_srvname ora111
oraconnect $g_user $g_upwd $g_hostname:$g_port:$g_srvname
oraselect "select * from emp" ""
As well as dumping the results to stdout (you probably want to comment that part out and change any other part you don't like), g_res is a ResultSet object you can use to do whatever.
Cheers

Problem importing a table with blob's
hi all, I'm facing the following situation.
Source DB : 10.2.0.3 (client's DB)
Destination DB (mine): 10.2.0.4
I've a dump file (traditional) of a particular schema.
I'm running import (imp) to import on my DB.
It runs fine until it reaches one particular table. This table has 6 colums, 3 of them are BLOB.
This table has 260000 rows (checked with export log).
When import reaches row 152352 it stops loading data, but import is still running.
what can I do to get more information from this situation in order to solve this problem?
Any suggestion will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.Pl identify the source and target OS versions. Are there any useful messages in the alert.log ? How long did the export take ? Rule of thumb states import will take twice as long. Have you tried expdp/impdp instead ? Also see the following -
