Tables in html

I have the following code and cannot get the words under the picture as close as I want. Can anyone give me a tip on how to get the words closer to the picture. They are currently under the picture with too much space and I want the words almost touching the picture.
My CSS says the following:
P.blocktext6 {
margin-right:auto;
margin-left:auto;
font-family:Helvetica Neue;
font-size:10px;
color:#666666;
bottom:
tr.spaceUnder > td {
padding-bottom: 1em;
My html is as follows:
<table width="750 cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td></td>
<td></td>
<td></td>
</tr>
<tr class="spaceUnder">
<td>drawing by Sandra age 4</td>
</tr></table>
</body></html>

  • Text in internal table with HTML tags.

    Hi ,
    I have Text in internal table with HTML tags.
    The text has to be shown in output of smartform as formatted text.
    That is the smartform should READ the HTML TAGS , convert the text accordingly and show in the output as formatted text.
    I dont want to make a webform . This is for NORMAL SPOOL output and NOT for WEB OUTPUT.
    IN SHORT
    :- the text in the internal table is like this ( please ignore the dot in the HTML TAG )--
    <html><.U>this is heading</.U>Line with no break<.br>some content text</.br>
    </html>
    OUTPUT
    <U>this is heading</U>Line with no break<br>some content text</br>
    1)  Can I can get the output and store it as text in a string variable and show in the smartform  ?
    In this case I want to know how to convert  and store in a variable  in sap .
    OR
    2) Can the text element convert the text with HTML TAGS to html formatted output and show it ?
    Regards,
    Jagat

    Hi,
    Use the FM SCP_REPLACE_STRANGE_CHARS and check
    See the
    Converting html special characters to plain characters (e.g. u00FC to u00FC)

    No - you have to use images.
    as already said - just google for more info

  • Pull data from a table in HTML format from external URL into a Servlet

    How do I pull data from existing website html table into a Servlet?
    I will need to pull the data into a servlet. So, the servelet will need to go to the URL and get the data and save them as variables.
    I know I will need an array to store the data. I just dont know how to call the URL and have the servelet search the site for the <table> </table>.
    I will later use this to save to a database.
    Thanks

    Maybe give us more details about what exactly You'd like to achieve. I guess that there might be better solutions to the problem.

  • XSLT to convert CALS tables into html?

    This may be the wrong forum to post this, but I don't know
    where else I can, so I would very much appreciate if anyone
    can suggest where I can find such information.
    I need to write XSLT code that will transform
    CALS tables that InDesign exports in XML into HTML.
    (I can't simply use the xhtml export feature. I need to
    do the transformation from XML to HTML.)
    For starters, what would be the XSLT code that I would need to convert
      aaaa
      bbbb
      cccc
      dddd
      eeee
      ffff
    into
    <table>
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">aaaa</p></td>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">bbbb</p></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">cccc</p></td>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">dddd</p></td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">eeee</p></td>
    <td>
    <p class="pstyle_cell">ffff</p></td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    The thing that I am having the most trouble with
    is the extraction of the number of rows and columns from
    the xml file and creating the appropriate "for" loop
    that will get the <tr></tr> tags in the right places in the HTML.
    Thanks in advance.

    Not really. It's never a good idea to consider the actual web page creation as an afterthought to the graphical design. In fact many times it's just simpler to start the web page as such and only add graphical fancy if and when needed selectively. Anyway, there are a few sites that offer PSD to HTML conversion, either automatic or as a paid service, but it will never be perfect. It's the same why a CSS or HTML file created using Save for Web always was and at best always can be a crude start. And in light of all the above, of course PS (or Illustrator or InDesign) are not web design tools, not even for the graphical aspects. Rather spend your time with Muse, Fireworks, Edge, Dreamweaver or one of the gigazillion free tools out there more suitably aimed at web stuff than PS ever could...

    I am working on a Travel Management workflow where mail needs to be sent to the manager along with the trip details.
    We are displaying data in tables (html format). Now i need to add another such table with details into this already existing workflow but i am facing issues in binding.
    Issue: For already existing tables, the binding is like this,
    Export to task,
    &TRIP& --> &T_SUMMARY##&
    Import to w/f,
    &T_SUMMARY##&  <--- &T_SUMMARY##&.
    But when i am tryin to add my table in binding as, &TRIP& --> &T_MILEAGE##&,
    I am getting a binding error, &T_MILEAGE##& is not available in the container.
    I checked the container both in workflow and in task, both contain multiple devlarations of the variable  &TRIP& which is of type the BO.
    Kindly help me how to proceed further.
    Regards,
    Jose
    Also

    Hi Jose
      why do you want to store data in HTML format. The entier trip detail is availble in PDF format which can used as an attachment. This is not the correct way to do it.

  • Pivot Table contains HTML

    Does anyone have any suggestions for how to handle HTML displayed in a pivot table field? I either need to strip the HTML tags or parse the value, server-side in Project Online, or client-side in the Excel file. Has anyone dealt with this before?
    Also I can't use VBA since Excel reports can't have VBA when used in SharePoint Online...
    Thanks,
    Roland

    Hi Roland,
    Could you kindly clarify this a bit further. How do you want the HTML to be treated? What is the desired outcome or behaviour?
    Regards,
    Michael Amadi

  • Tables RoboHelp HTML v9

    I didn't find this topic on a quick search. So if I'm duplicating here, please point me to another post that may have the answer.
    Recently, I've switched/upgraded from Robo 7 to Robo 9. I had a special table format set up in Robo 7 so that I could access in through the Insert Table function. I had created a .html file and placed it into the Robo Gallery subdirectory. All worked fine this way in 7.
    However, when I tried to move this file into the Robo 9 Gallery subdirectory, Robo is not seeing my format.
    Any pointers, comments, help? Can this still be done?
    Thanks,
    Donna

    In RoboHelp 7 tables were created using inline styles. Things changed in RoboHelp 8 when CSS driven tables were introduced. You can use one of the supplied styles, you can edit one of them to create your own style or you can create a new one. There is some more information about this in the RoboHelp Tour on my site.
    Once you have a style set up, you can change your existing inline tables to CSS driven tables. Right click in a table and select Table Styles. You will then get a dialog enabling you to pick a table. Tick the box to clear the old inline styling. Note that you will need to reapply any table / column widths. They will look good in the Design Editor but not in a browser.
    I suggest you make a copy of the project and play around with that until you have got things working as you want.

  • Unwanted spce when displaying tables in html using servlets

    hi everybody,

    thanx,

    the reason i know is because i ran into this problem myself when converting '\r\n' to <br>. it just seems this is the way IE (and maybe netscape) handle html. if you do a 'view source' on the page you would see all the <br>'s and say "where did those come from?", then after looking at your code you would see it.
    i am not sure 100% as to why they do it, but I have theories as to why (i.e. table isn't done and that text isn't formatted correctly, so just spit stuff out - then print table when closed)
    so basically, the problem was with the html and not the servlet writing.

  • How to insert row in usercreat table(useing HTML tags)in jtextPane

    Hi,
    Follow the below logic,
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      MODULE STATUS_0001.
      MODULE POPULATE_TABLE_CONTROL. --> Get the data from table store in
                                                                          ITAB
      LOOP AT GT_CTRL_LP_D516 INTO GS_WA_CTRL_LP_D516
           WITH CONTROL CTRL_LP_D516
           CURSOR CTRL_LP_D516-CURRENT_LINE.
      The following module moves data to control
        MODULE MOVE_TO_CONTROL.--> Move data from ITAB to table control
      ENDLOOP.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      LOOP AT GT_CTRL_LP_D516.
      ENDLOOP.
      MODULE EXIT AT EXIT-COMMAND.
      MODULE USER_COMMAND_0001.  --> Here you have to take out the values from table control and update database table
    Reward points if helpful.

  • Specify row height in table using html?

    How do I accurately specify row heights in html for use in rich text emails? The row heights tend to grow in height (approx 20px) when tested in Thunderbird. I want the row heigth to be 1px high. Please see a line of code below:
    HTML 4.01 Transitional

  • Table image not linking in html object

    I have created a table in Dreamweaver and verified that it is correct by previewing in several browsers. Once I paste it into Muse however, an image that loads fine from Dreamweaver becomes a question mark in Muse layout and published views.
    Here is a link: http://corehog.businesscatalyst.com/small-size-finishing-tools.html
    The first table is the  trial table in html, the other 2 are just images.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ok, I've run into a few snags. First of all my admin console does not have all the options you show in the screenshot. Most signifagantly File Manager. I made sure the Images cart-pl-n.gif and cart-pl-ro.gif by just pasting them on the page then publishing, I then double checked their presence by checking in Edit mode. I also tried to relink the images in Edit mode but with the rollover, the top one is presenting itself with the alt text and the image underneath is just and illusive flash I cannot connect with.
    Is it there something goofy in the code?
    <td><a href="http://corehog.businesscatalyst.com/cart.html" onMouseOut="MM_swapImgRestore()" onMouseOver="MM_swapImage('Cart','','../../../www.corehog.businesscatalyst.com/images/car t-pl-ro.gif',1)"><img src="../../../www.corehog.businesscatalyst.com/images/cart-pl-n.gif" alt="shopping cart" width="26" height="23" class="imagecontrol" id="Cart2"></a></td>
      </tr>
    I really appreciate your help!
