I have even tried to delete my iCloud account completely to start again but am not allowed without the iCloud password (which I don't have) there doesn't seem to be a place to change the email address of iCloud. This is the answer that I had expected, so in this case you could only change your gmail.com address to another providers email addres e.g. outlook.com, yahoo.com, etc., but you won't be able to change the gmail.com address to a icloud.com email address. Apple just won't let you do that.
Your iCloud account with @icloud.com email address and you Apple ID with gmail.com address are already connected and as I said before, Apple just let you merge this two IDs together.

When you move or copy the compound clips with their events into an external drive all the events should be there. Not clear on why you want to move them into a single event. You can drag and drop from one event to another.
Why are you using compound clips? You can simply copy the project from each machine with used media onto the external drive and that should do it.

If you still have your old card listed on your account then try selecting the 'none' option and remove it and then try entering the card's details from scratch. If that doesn't work then what is the full error message that you are getting, and the card is registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing) that you have on your iTunes account ?

Your device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

The app is not gone, it is impossible to remove it from the device.
Check all home screens and folders.
If you are unable to find it, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
As a last resort, restore from backup.

Hi tlaclair, when I click that link, here is what I see (observed using the Fiddler2 program, which intercepts web traffic between your browser and websites):
(1) The server at link.p0.com sets 1 cookie and redirects to http://t.mookie1.com/t/v1/event?migClientId=181&migAction=email-click&migSource=mig&migDest=http%3a%2f%2forder.dominos.com
(2) Firefox follows the redirect and the server at t.mookie1.com sets 3 cookies and redirects to http://order.dominos.com
(3) Firefox follows the redirect and the server at order.dominos.com redirects to a secure session ([https://order.dominos.com/])
These kinds of redirects are completely standard; if you set Firefox to warn you about redirects, then a bar usually appear below the address where you can click an Allow button to continue. You can check whether you have this feature turned on here:

When opening Firefox, over 10 windows open, all of which have only a single "New Tab"

I am running Firefox 5.0. Just recently, it started to open multiple (over 10) windows when I start it from the quick start area. All of the windows open with a single tab entitled "New Tab". Any tabs that I had open from my last Firefox session are ignored.
I've used Firefox for many years.
I use a desktop running Windows 7 SP1 Professional with an Intel i5 chip.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well. 
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar.
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button that shows as a plus sign (+) from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

If you can't find the New Tab button then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the Customize window.

When I log off Firefox, there is a long delay, then an error message: Firefox not responding. Then it eventually logs off. The side bar scroll up and down also experiences delays. This is a new problem--I've used Firefox for years. Help!

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to see if the problem would go away--no luck. It's not my mouse nor my keyboard. Internet Explorer does not have this problem nor any other application. When typing on websites, there is also a delay when the cursor is tabbed, and typing experiences fits and starts as well. I'm going crazy!

Although I have cookies saving enable when I restart the application I have to enter all log in details again. How can actually make it to use the stored cookies?

Having the option to save cookies and all other stuff already enabled, I log on into several sites (e.g. gmail).
When for some reason I restart the app, the website prompts me to fill in my log in details again. The strange thing is that on my desktop PC, it appears to have exactly the same settings however in that case saving or using the saved cookies actually works.
Might that be an Ubuntu problem? I do not know. But some profile settings are being reseted any time I open the app.
Any ideas?

Try clearing your Cookies for the affected websites. 
Tools > Options -> Privacy - Cookies = Show Cookies ''button'' 
Enter the domain in the Search bar at the top and all the Cookies for that URL will appear. Unless you can figure out which Cookie is for "remember me", you'll need to delete them all.
Hold the {Ctrl} key while you click on each Cookie in the small window. When that list is all highlighted, click the Remove Cookie ''button'' in the lower left. 
When you are done click Close.
If that problem persists, you might need to delete the __cookies.sqlite__ file in your Profile folder.

I'm suffering from a reconnection problem which impacts my ability to use mirroring of my Macbook Air display on my iMac display. Both are using Yosemite OS and sharing the same bluetooth peripherals via the iMac. This did not happen much before Yosemite but I get a Reconnecting display about once every 15-20 minutes now when I am accessing my macbook in a session. Connection to the Macbook Air via a Thunderbolt cable also seems a little flaky, may or may not connect. Often improved by opening (waking) up the macbook if no response. Occasionally I get a Failed to Authenticate Macbook Air error which appears to be a hard error, typically after not having been using the laptop for sometime, e.g. overnight!

First of all, as a rule you should have two backups before you do anything else. (most don't, and it's up to you).
I would have one backup done as a Time Machine backup on an external disk, which you will use to import all settings, data and apps to your new MBA via Setup Assistant on your very first boot of the new machine.
Second, I would have prepared, a bootable backup done via Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper on a second external disk. This you can use for unforseen problems that might be evident on the Time Machine backup (hey it happens).
After you have these two items in preparation, then use the original system disk or flash drive to reformat and reinstall the original operating system to the old machine, cleanly. After that, it is ready for sale. If the unit is not an SSD equipped MBA, you can perform a secure wiping of the disk when you perform the reformatting.
To reiterate.... You need a good Time Machine Backup as a source for you setting up the new Mac with Setup Assistant.

Are you saying that your home page has been changed to Bing? You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]] for steps on changing it back. I would suggest using the option to restore to default first, the if that works you can choose any site you like.
If your default search has been changed as well, you may want to change that back. The [[Search bar]] article will show you how that can be done as well.
