Make sure your device have reachbility to the tacaces server.

Check your cable whether it is good. If it is use the wall plug to charge at least half an hour. See how it goes.

If you have this kind of problem stated above in the title, or similar, here is what I did...
Make sure you have correct locale, you'll need a UTF-8 one.
As stated in the install guide(or beginner's guide iirc) do the following:
Uncomment one of the locales in "/etc/locale.gen", it doesn't have to be language pacific if you're only after using UTF-8 which provides more characters than normal ASCII.
then run "locale-gen". Make sure to set your "/etc/locale.conf" to "LANG=en_US-UTF8" of course you can choose whatever locale you want not just "en_US-UTF-8". After that make sure to reboot, it may also work with just log-out and log-in again, but I did not reboot and neither log-out and when back in. If it still doesn't work, run "locale" and "locale-a" if the output is "C" in each column just redo what I stated above, if it still not work, then you have to consult the manual, wiki and if you don't find the problem use a search-engine and if you still don't find answer here on the forums, the people here is really helpful!

You're supposed to uncomment "sv_SV.UTF-8 UTF-8", then run locale-gen (with sudo), not "sv_SE.utf8".

^ Except that you shouldn't use "echo" in this case. That command works well when you're logged in as root, but for sudo, not so much. Check the file with nano and you'll see that nothing changed. For sudo, use tee.
$ sudo tee /etc/locale.conf <<< "LANG=en_US.UTF-8"
Note: You don't necessarily need "sv_SV" for those characters to show up. Setting a "sv_SV" locale would make programs show up in Swedish instead of English - unless that's what you want. UTF-8 locales will cover those characters just fine (provided that the font from the terminal actually contains those glyphs, of course).
So you mean I can have en_US.UTF8 as locale but still write swedish letters? So the problem is with the font or somthing, not the locale?
If you still have problems, post the output of:
$ ls -l /etc/profile.d/locale.sh
$ curl sprunge.us -F sprunge=@/etc/locale.gen
$ curl sprunge.us -F sprunge=@/etc/locale.conf
$ locale -a
$ locale
Well, I did as the guide told about locale.conf, it doesn't seem to work, even if "locale" outputs correct info now, but I'll try with restarting the X server too, just in case.....

Back facing camera doesn't work!

My back facing camera on my ipad2 doesn't work. The shutter will not open to take pics or video. I have tried rebooting iPad and resetting it and nothing works! I was hoping for an at home fix instead of sending it in cause I'm afraid to lose some photos I put on ipad2 from my computer cause I recently lost my hard drive! I can't back those ones up with i cloud or iTunes ( I don't think so anyways). Thanks, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You should take care of the photos first, before you worry about the camera. Once you get your computer repaired (or get a new one) you need to get it authorized for your Apple ID, and find a way to back up the iPad without erasing it.
Search for an Apple Authorized Repair Center near you. They should be able to advise you on how to save your photos. (I see that there is Capitol Macintosh in Lansing, MI.)

RegisterFont when running local doesn't work.

Hi guys anybody knows why Font.register(class) doesn't work when i run from my local machine?
the fonts.swf is loaded from a server loading fires a complete event so that should be fine.
However when i load the fonts.swf also from local machine then it works fine.
Anybody any idea?

Flashing question mark on start up -Pram reset worked now it's back and pram doesn't work

So the other half has crashed my mid 2012 macbook pro twice in two days (watching youtube). First time I managed to get passed the flashing question mark folder icon using pram reset now this doesn't work and it just goes to that icon. Hard drive is missing in. utility so can't whipe that either
any suggestions on what has failed, it's only 1.5 years old so I'm really disappointed

These are related but not identical issues. Their causes are outlined in Intel-based Mac- Startup sequence and error codes, symbols. Solutions may be found in:

In most cases the problems may be caused by one or more of these:
a. Problem with the computer's PRAM - See Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM.
b. Boot drive's directory has been corrupted - Repair with Disk Utility.
c. Critical system files are damaged or deleted - Reinstall OS X.
d. The disk drive is physically non-functional - Replace the hard drive.
Note that the information I have provided is what Apple recommends, If other users suggest different solutions than found here, then be sure what they recommend does not impact on your warranty, if any, or ability to get continuing Apple service.
Please don't start removing drives or changing cables unless you know what you are doing and have exhausted other non-invasive alternatives outlined here. If you perform any work yourself that is unapproved by Apple, then you will void any warranty you may have and lose all further Apple Support.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
The main difference if you are using Lion or Mountain Lion is that you must first boot from the Recovery HD. Simply boot from the Recovery HD to perform the above.

2. Reinstall Snow Leopard

After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing The Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. [solved] and yet this question..why my rc.local doesn't work

I would like to add some commands to the rc.local but I can't figure out why rc.multi is reading it but it doesn't have any effect.

I see during booting that the echo "LOCAL" is written but when I check for instance xset the values are the default and not what I want... the same applies for the cpufreq...
just in case if I run:
#/etc/rc.local
it works.. it does what I want but why not at boot-time?
I understood from the wiki that:
it is run after the basic setup (modules/daemons)
as the root user,
and whether or not X starts.
I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me how to set the rc.local

It's working actually, my bad.
First issue:
/usr/bin/cpufreq-set -c 1 -f ondemand &> /dev/null
/usr/bin/cpufreq-set -c 0 -f ondemand &> /dev/null
this two commands can be replaced by
echo "ondemand" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
for each of my cores in /etc/rc.local to set the governor during boot.

well after reading the xorg documentation xset sets the values but the default values are going to be load after...overwriting. If I specify this values in the xorg.conf according to:

"go back" on toolbar doesn't work

The "go back" icon on my toolbar had disappeared. So I went to view and added the icon. I can see it but it is shaded and won't work. In order to view the last item I was reading, I have to go to history and choose from there which is annoying. I need to know how to activate this feature.

IPhone use as USB drive- shipping both back if it doesn't work

How do I unlock this feature?
I'm a geek, I don't want to carry around 2 devices (USB Drive & Phone)
Who in their right mind would make this completely disabled?
It is within FCC regulations as a mass storage device?
If it involves further cost I'll ship the phones back period.

In my work I am constantly "carrying" files from my Mac to other PC locations for print, revision, etc. I rarely use a USB thumb drive anymore. I email the files I need to myself. (I also upload files to the internet using .mac, but that has an annual fee.) I read this solution below, and might try it to eliminate the whole email attachment issue. I have not tried it yet and I would need to check that it would work with windows pcs.

Faulty back and now doesn't work.

I dropped my iPad which cracked the screen and damaged some of the back. So i took it to John Lewis (where i bought it from) and they told me to send it to a company and they can fix it. I sent it off and then received it back within a month. They fixed the glass on the front but they also replaced the back aluminium cover with the same design back, but the apple logo is much bigger and the writing at the bottom (made in china etc.) is in feint writing instead of the usual black. We're not too bothered about this, but now, the iPad will only work when plugged into the mains and then immeditaley switches off as soon as it is unplugged. I am not sure what to do about this. Can i take it to an Apple Store? my only worry is they wont fix it becuase it doesnt have the original back

How can i move my music and apps from my ipod to a new itunes if the back-up copy doesn't work and without losing all my music and apps?

Hey everyone, when my ipod( nano, 5th generation) was stucked, i deblockaded it, but then all the music and video's dissapeared.... And when i check thee info it says '6.4 GB others' and '567 MB free.... And don't know how this could happen but i really want all my music back!! And i cant put all the songs back because the laptop i used for this ipod crashed and it's still in the store to ffix it... So now i have a lapop that i borowod from the store but i only have 100 songs on that laptop ( manual mode, so i can put them on the ipod but i cant tpuch the others) and that means i would download 1200 songs, and that really takes a long time... And my memory is full, so i can't put new songs on it.... S, the question: is there a way i can get all my songs back?? And if that is impossible, how do i clear my memory, so it's free for new songs??

Well, shut my mouth! There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.

"Go Back One Page" doesn't work on first page visited from Home Page

When opening FF4.0, my homepage opens fine. Whether I manually type a webpage address, use a book mark from list or button bar, once that page opens, the "Go Back One Page" button is still gray and the only way to get back home is to click the "Home" button.
I tried restarting program and it did not correct anything. I next tried restarting computer and that did not do anything either.
My system: Core2Quad Q8400 with 8G RAM. BIOS is up to date, as well as all drivers for all hardware.

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately browser cache wasn't the problem. I use Firefox(default), IE and Opera for testing and I close the browser most of the times after I deploy the project. Even tough if I don't close the browser I hit the ctrl+f5 several times to avoid the cache problems. I tryed setting the browser to check newer versions every time I open the page, but that didn't help either.
Like I said the problem occurs in our public deployment server too with everybody who enters the page first time in each session. After login they get the pages with stylesheet within and if they logout they will be redirected to same login page and the stylesheet is loaded correctly. Then if they restart the browser and try to login the application again, they will be faced the same problem.
Is there anything else I can try?
