Talent Management - Assign Application Forms to PDF Docs IMG Step

Hello,
We are having some issues with the configuration step u201CAssign Application Forms to Elements of PDF-Based Documentsu201D.
Here are the steps we have taken so far:
1)     Copied the Application Forms from Client 000 (HRTMC_RM_COVER, HRTMC_RM_TALENT_AGENDA_TOPIC, HRTMC_TALENT_PROFILE, HRTMC_TALENT_SHORT_PROFILE) to our Sandbox & Development Clients
2)     Set u2018Use Complex Bundlingu2019 to u201Ctrueu201D via FPCONNECT (SM31)
3)     Attempted to add the different u201CParameter valuesu201D HRTMC values (specified above) to the IMG config step assign application forms to elements of pdf-based docs
When trying to complete #3, we receive an error u2018enter a valid valueu2019. I checked both the Application Forms and the Forms Class and these objects exist, and are active. We even re-transported the objects to see if that was the problem, but it did not work.
Any thoughts to why we are receiving this message?

Converting a pdf form to pdf doc so it can't be altered.

I have a pdf form that I use to complete test reports for the city. I then need to send that completed form to the customer and city but I want to send it as a pdf document so it can't be altered. How can I do this? I use to be able to print to Create PDF but now it's not available so I have tried this Create PDF online but still can not get it to save as just a pdf doc.

If I understand you correctly you have a fillable PDF form that you fill with some report information, then you send that PDF form to customers via email, but you don’t want them to be able to altering it.
You may use Adobe Acrobat to set/change restrictions for your PDF document – to specify what your customers could do with the document. For that just execute the following steps:
1. Open your already filled PDF form document in Acrobat
2. Chose File> Properties, select Security tab in Document Properties dialog.
3. Choose Password Security in Security Method popup menu – it opens “Password Security – Settings” dialog. In Permissions area Select check-box “Restrict editing and printing of the document.
4. In “Printing Allowed” drop down menu specify allowed printing options
5. In “Changes Allowed” drop down menu specify “None” or otherwise whatever you want your customers be able to do with your PDF form.
6. You need to provide password (for you to remember so that only you will be able to change that document again when needed),
7. You need to Save that document for your new restricted permissions to take effect. Then close and reopen the document – and verify permissions in Security tab of the Document Properties dialog. And if that’s what you intended – you could email that PDF document to your customers
Now if you don’t have Adobe Acrobat yet but only free Reader, you would need to download a free trial version of Acrobat XI Pro from here.

Talent Management - Creation of forms via wizard

Hi all,
After creation of forms (Competency, Development Plan etc) via the wizard, the form is unable to be re-released after cancelling release. Is there anyway I can do that? I need to do some minor changes to the form (adding additional links) but unable to re-release it after changes.

Can i use Response method in livecycle designer to render or open pdf doc?

Hello,
Can anybody please tell me is it possible to use response method available in the adobe livecycle designer which takes the input value to open the pdf doc.
Case 1: if we send adobe form throgh mail as pdf doc,then at the receiver side if the user open the pdf doc a popup should come asking for the input value.This popup will be from the response method.
Case 2:if we save the adobe form as pdf doc on to our desktop and then if we try to open the pdf doc a popup should come asking for input value.
Is it possible to do ?
If yes then in which event of livecycle designer we should write that response method and in what way?
If no,is there any other way to do this?

Yes i have tried in other events of livecycle designer.
In Formready event -> if i do preview pdf,first it will display form and then it ll ask for password.But with this event only if i save the pdf to my local desktop and try to open it ll not ask for password anywhere.
In Layoutready event ->Pdf preview in designer is working fine,but when i save it my local desktop and try to open it ll not ask for passward.
Could anybody tell me how to do it.

Talent Management (EhP4) - cannot find structural authorization profiles

I have looked in 3 different SAP ECC6.0 EhP4 system for the Talent Management structural authorization profiles stated in the IMG documentation and on the help.sap.com website. The profiles are: 
TMS_PROFILE 
TMS_ALL 
TMS_MAN_PROF 
There are also several "sub" profiles for TMS_PROFILE. 
To take an example from help.sap.com on their Authorizations page (http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/7b/6f92413c3a2e7be10000000a1550b0/content.htm ), the SAP_TMC_SUPER_TALENT_MANA_SPEC clearly indicates the TMS_ALL structural authorization profile is in the standard system:

The structural authorization profile TMS_ALL is also available as a template for the Talent Management Superuser.

So... does anybody know anything about these and where I can find them? Do they require some form of activation outside of the standard switch activations for Talent Management? I've looked in several tcodes (SU01,PCFG, OOSP etc) for them but no luck. 
Any help gratefully received and points will be awarded for helpful answers and solutions!

Hey Luke:
Could you do me a favor and look in client 000 (the SAP delivered client)? You generally need a basis person for this activity, and I can't find one now on my own end to confirm my theory. However I'm pretty sure if you went to OOSP in client 000, you'd see those profiles. They were either never copied over from 000 or your security friends deleted all the profiles that are SAP delivered in the clients you're looking at.
I could talk for a super boring amount of time about the security concept of "SAP delivers too much access with their roles so we don't use them" that a good number of security teams use - but that's a story for a different day.
Take a peek in 000 and let me know what you see. If they're there, you can always have your basis chums copy them over to your clients that you want them in (presumably your security config client).

I saved an application form as a pdf to my desktop and now I can't open it!

Basically, I didn't have access to a printer, so I clicked print and then it presented my application form in a new window (my browser is chrome). Instead of printing (because I couldn't) I saved the file to my desktop and it saved as a pdf. Now if try and open it with adobe it says 'Adobe could not open...because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example it was sent as an email and wasn't correctly decoded) I read other posts with people having this message but not in this context.
Now I really need to print it and I can't even open it. There's no way of going back in the application process as I can't get hold of the application form online any more.
PLEASE help! This is really important and I might have managed to screw everything up for myself. I tried to open it with chrome instead and that just opens a blank page...

How to view & print form as complete pdf doc

Hi,
We created an application form on the formscentral system, it's working fine, but we are only able to see the responses on the formsecentral website. As these are application forms we need to be able to view and print the forms in the same design as we created them - so that they can be printed as documents in their own right.
So instead of seeing the candidate's responses broken down in list form on the website, we want to be able to obtain their application as a pdf document.
Can someone please tell me how we do this?

We currently do not support exporting the responses as PDF in the origial layout. You can save the detail view of a single response as PDF but its not the the original layout. This FAQ explains how: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1383

If you are using those apps or websites, they are likely viewing the PDF using iOS' built in PDF previewing, which will not show annotations and markup to the PDF. We have informed Apple of this issue, but do not have any insight into whether or when they will fix it.
Regarding the qustion about importing pictures, Adobe Reader does not provide any capabilities to import pictures into a PDF. To do this, you'll need to use Acrobat, available on your desktop computer.

If the file has fields - actual PDF fields, you just type. The text goes in the fields.
Or do you want to turn it into a fillable form?
Or do you want to fill in, a non fillable form, just once?
By the way if you have an application form and it isn't fillable, they DON'T expect you to fill it. Just print it and treat it like it came in the mail.

Getting Runtime error while including pdf doc with Form guides.

I have urgent requirement where I have to capture the data in the PDF doc   what user enters into the form Guides.
I am trying this on ES2.

They mentioned that we have to create form design (pdf) with same data model.. But When i tries to create form design by including the data model .. it is not allowing to me save as pdf and its telling that we have to save as xdp only.   So saved as xdp only and followd all the same steps what they mentioned .. but we are getting error like :::

The problem might be in path of the resources. Please check the path for the pdf you includes at form guide.
Please check concat( ) operation .. make sure that it is correct and pointing as per your work bench.
And
At Configuring the REST endpoint for the PDF render service:,   6th point , please select   as System level rather than INVOKE_PERM.

Font size, spacing in editable PDF document (application form)

I am trying to fill out an application form that has already been created by a university. The form's instructions indicate that applicants must fill in the fields using Times New Roman 12 point font with 1.5 spacing. However, nowhere in Adobe Reader do I see any option for changing the parameters of the text that I can type into the fields. Is this even possible?

With Adobe Acrobat you can change the font in the text fields.

For a variety of reasons, mostly related to security, the iOS operating system limits what can be done with respect to file uploading and downloading. But whenever you encounter a limitation like this always think, "There must be an app for this."

Show/hide objects/fields in PDF application (form) ...

Hello,
I'm creating a PDF application (form).
The layout is being done in InDesign then the fields/buttons/drop-down boxes are being added in Acrobat Pro.
I have a situation in the application where the user will select an option from a drop-down menu ... let's say the options are "car" and "airplane". (These are just examples.)
when the applicant selects "car" it should only show the following fields ...
Tires
Engine
Fuel Economy
When the applicant selects "airplane" it should only show the following fields ...
Wingspan
Max. Altitude
Seating Capacity
How do I do this? I only want the applicant to see/access the fields that are relevant to the selections they make earlier in the application.
From what I've found online, "Java Script" is what I need to work with ... but I have no idea how that works.
I have no ability to write code from scratch, but I have been successfull at modifiying existing code.
Some examples or some code that I can copy/paste and modify would be great.
Also, where do I go within Acrobat to access/modify the code?
