hi,
1) task is used to define the Activity step in workflow definition. besides this,
task also can be executed independently, right? may i know how and where to execute it if not in workflow?
2) what is the use of container? for example task container, method container, event container and workflow container.

1. In workflow and task,
   there is a separate TAB.
2. Inside this tab we can add the variables
   we want.
3. Eg. Task1 finds the Manager who should release the purchase order.
    Task2 sends the mail to the manager to release the PO.
4. Here TASK2 is independent in a sense,
   and does not know who is the manager. It simply sends the mail.
5. In that case CONTAINER is used.
6. One variable eg. ManagerMail is defined
   and put inside the container of Task1.
The same variable of same name,
   is also Put/added to container of Task2.

I have Zmethod and i have done binding between the task and the method and
Task and workflow..
Binding between Task and work flow doesnt seem to Disappear
but the binding between Task and the method kept on disappearing
I have a Zmethod to Bus2091(delagated to Zbus2091)
with an import parameter and an export parameter
and now when creating the task and assigning the method the container elements of method are transferred to Task
and next i wen to binding eeditor and generated automatic binding:
From task to method
and method to task
with out errors and now on clicked green tick mark of the binding editor and saved the Task and now on checking back the binding editor
i find the binding disppearead

Error 200524 Different number of channels in task and data

Anyone out there with some information would be greatly appreciated. I have attached my VI. Essentially I am trying to build a simple PID VI to controll the temperature of a piece of equipment in a system I am building. I have heating wire powered by 120 V source. The circuit is controlled by a simple relay, which is controlled by a digital line on my NI USB 6343 board. I have seen numerous examples throughout the forums and the shipped examples, but I cannot seem to figure out how the PID VIs work. I understand the basics of a PID controller, but cannot make the connections of how to actually get it to work in LV.
I figured that this VI I wrote is pretty simple and should work, but I keep getting this error.
Error -200524 occurred at PID_v0.vi:Instance:19:1
Possible reason(s):
Write cannot be performed, because the number of channels in the data does not match the number of channels in the task.
When writing, supply data for all channels in the task. Alternatively, modify the task to contain the same number of channels as the data written.

Any advice, direction, sample VIs that are not overly complicated, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi andyabs,
I'm not getting the same error you are when running this VI. How are you setting up your channels and tasks in the DAQ Assistants? It seems like this may be the source of your error.
You should also take a look at Section 4 of the attached White Paper. Using DAQmx functions rather than the DAQ Assistant will give you a bit more functionality with your program. Let me know if you have any questions about this example.

Task configuation containing webdynpro hyperlink in UWL

Hi Experts,
i have a workflow userdecision task that contains a hyperlink of webdynpro application.Now we have to integrate this task into UWL.we are able to open the task from UWL but on clicking on hyperlink this web dynpro application is not getting opened.
Can you please suggest the steps to do the same.

Now since i dont need any additional functionality i did not register this task in swfvisu(as i have understood if we need to add additional functionality ,we have to create webdynpro for that task and register the task in swfvisu).so for the task,the standard config screen is opening in UWL providing me the details of task,The accept and reject button are also working fine.
Now when the user clicks on the hyperlink..it should call webdynpro application.But it is not calling.On right click on hyper link it shows URL as javascript.void(0)..that means it is not taking the URL.But where is this URL getting missed..i am not able to figure out.
Do i need to configure the task in swfvisu..if yes what would be the launcher type.?

Please consider ADF applications migrated from JDeveloper 11g R1 to 11g R2 [1].
When using JDeveloper 11g R2 to create a task-flow containing facelets fragments and dropping it on an existing/migrated page (created using JDeveloper 11g R1) results in a message :
"Cannot create a region from a task flow containing facelets fragments in a jspx page.".
What would be "good guidelines" (do's and don't's) of using facelets aspects in an ADF application migrated from JDeveloper 11g R1 to 11g R2?

.bbb; "tasks" and "memo"; Curve 8520; Playbook

I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520 and a BlackBerry Playbook.
Short context: Destroyed phone but salvaged the SIM.
Curve was synched to Playbook.
Playbook contains thesis information that I NEED to recover: Specifically, “tasks” and “memo” items.
Used BlackBerry Desktop Manager ver. 7.1 to backup Playbook bbb files.
Ver. 7.* of software will let me specify “organiser” function to isolate the files I need.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled…yadda yadda yadda… various archived versions of the software tried, but none work. Currently have active on PC ver. 5.0 – PC is Windows XP).
Have tried to recover the Playbook data in .bbb file. Have tried BlackBerry Backup Extractor (cannot find *any* files). Have tried “PhoneMiner.” Have tried “Magic Berry.” Have also tried renaming .bbb files as .zip (all “copies” – not the original backup file). 7-Zip recovers .tar files, but all refer to applications.
So…I’m thinking that in the ver. 7.1 of the software, it might not have actually backed up “memo” and “tasks” files. However, ver. 5.0 doesn’t seem to recognise the Playbook. When connecting Playbook to PC, I am prompted to upgrade software from the “Playbook directory.”
So, BB Desktop Manager ver. 5.* doesn’t recognise Playbook. Version 7.* of BB Desktop Manager gives me the error message
But, in so doing, the software (ver. 7.* of BlackBerry Desktop Manager) doesn’t allow me to specify the “memo” and “task” in the “Organiser” tab. Instead, I get an error message, and the prompt to www…/docs for support.
BlueTooth is not yet reconfigured and set up (but I am having a great deal of difficulty setting up the WiFi on my Curve, despite manually entering PSK when autodetect fails) but I am in no rush about this as I have not yet synched Curve with Playbook. I’m afraid that the Curve will overwrite the Playbook (and purge the “memo” and “tasks”).
I am making the assumption that the files are still on Playbook, but I can’t confirm this as a) BB Desktop manager using versions that recognise Playbook will not let me specify “memo” and “tasks” files in the “organiser” function, b) there has been no synch yet with an “empty” Curve. There has been no auto synch either as lauching “memo,” for instance, on Playbook, prompts the search for a connection to the Curve, which it cannot find. Once connection is established, will Curve automatically overwrite the Playbook files effectively deleting “memo” and “tasks” files?
Bottom line is this: I need to get “memo” and “tasks” from Playbook. How can I ensure the retrieval of “memo” and “tasks” files?

Containers are objects in SQL Server Integration Services that provide structure to packages and services to tasks. They support repeating control flows in packages, and they group tasks and containers into meaningful units of work. Containers can include
other containers in addition to tasks.
Packages use containers for the following purposes:
• Repeat tasks for each element in a collection, such as files in a folder, schemas, or SQL Server Management Objects (SMO) objects.
• Repeat tasks until a specified expression evaluates to false.
• Group tasks and containers that must succeed or fail as a unit.
The Data Flow task encapsulates the data flow engine that moves data between sources and destinations, and lets the user transform, clean, and modify data as it is moved. Addition of a Data Flow task to a package control flow makes it possible for the package
to extract, transform, and load data. We can add Data Flow task to Containers, but Containers can’t be included in Data Flow tasks.

Human Task and Exit Activity in parallel

Hi ,
I have a case where in Process1 there is a Human Task , and also there is an OnEvent (which is another operation on the same process1 wsdl) for terminating the process. This On Event contains only one activity namely "Exit".
I could see that when a terminate activity is triggered the process instance is getting terminated, however the Human Task still shows as active in the BPM.
Has anybody faced this ?
I am using the em console to test the Process and using the correlation to hit the correct instance which is happening.

Maybe I have to pass some variable to the other human task? But..., with my comments I don't pass any variable and it works...

Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

I understand the instructions to create a new account id (apple id) from the old aol account. However, does this mean my purchases will be split into 2 accounts; or does the fact that I currently see everything under my apple id (regardless of the purchased by username) mean this will all still appear in my current account as it does now?

You see them where when you login your non-AOL account ?
If you currently have two accounts (the AOL username account and an email address account) then you will continue to have two accounts, and nothing should change when you update the AOL account to be an email address (apart from how you access that account).
You will just be renaming the account to have an email address for accessing it, not creating a new account.

I inquire about something regarding Oracle EBusiness suite professions tasks and duties. I've tasked by my manager with writing a report lists the main tasks and key responsibilities for each of the following technical professions within Oracle E Business Environment:

3)-Apps Business Consultant.

I don't see how you'd be able to integrate OAM with EBS unless you have the oSSO (assuming of course that you're not on the bleeding edge, per 975182.1).
We are running the same configuration and have setup the redirects in OAM policy. We setup specific context roots for each application, then use OAM policy to redirect. (for example, http://iwa-server/ebs redirects to https://ebs-server)
Unique authorization rule for each redirect, then a unique "policy" on the "Policies" tab for each redirect. Each Policy maps to the respective Authorization Rule.

My Mac is running INCREDIBLY slow, Kernel-task and LR, PS, PSE, etc. are not functioning well.

Hi! Been trying to follow a thread about the Kernel-task and slow Mac performance. I did download EtreCheck and ran the report. I am a photographer using LR 4 and Chrome is my main browser. Both Chrome and LR (or PSE, or PS or Xee (a photo viewing app) make my computer run beyond ridiculously slow. I have so much work to do for clients and I get stopped in the middle of editing and cannot move forward because my beloved Mac is having issues. I did go through several old apps and the Application Support and Prefernces and deleted what I could of what I knew "what was what". I would appreciate any help in getting my Mac back on track. Problem description:
My Mac is running incredibly sluggish. Chrome continues to lag, and the spinning ball is ridiculous when I am working in LR. I did the EtreCheck and the report is below. I JUST cleared out my LR catalogs and now have just two folders in the catalog from a current wedding I am working on. I will have to consider using separate catalogs for my other genres or even smaller catalogs and just make a catalog for each client. Thanks for looking this over! I am so frustrated.

Several problems exist.
1.
Back up your Mac prior to making any changes to its file system. Time Machine has not been configured properly To learn how to use Time Machine read Mac Basics: Time Machine backs up your Mac - Apple Support.
2.
You inadvertently installed adware. You do not need to download or install anything to fix it.
For a description of how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for Apple's recommended actions read How to install adware. Apple's instructions are linked in the Recovery Procedure near the end of that document. Read and follow them carefully. Pay particular attention to the easily overlooked passages directing you to restart your Mac when required.

That Mac's Hosts file appears to have been modified. Fixing a modified Hosts file requires specific instructions. Apple Support Communities contributor and EtreCheck author etresoft recently added a User Tip discussing that concern, and how to correct it: Fixing a hacked /etc/hosts file

Email Notifications for UWL Tasks and Collaboration Tasks

Hi,
I want to configure Email Notifications for both UWL Tasks and Collaboration Tasks.
I done with the all the Configurations suggested in the below link:

But Email Notifications are not reaching the users Lotus Mail ID. Could any one please suggest me that i am missing any Configurations.

ActiveSync Tasks and Calendar

I cannot seem to get ActiveSync(AS) to transfer all of my tasks and appoinments from my desktop to my Treo 750. And...if I mark a task as completed on my Treo, it doesn't mark it completed on my desktop. I have Active Sync 4.2 and Outlook 2000, therefore I can't install AS 4.5 unless I go to Outlook 2003 or above. Should I try this? Spend another $100 on an already $400 phone!! I have already....

Hard & soft reset multiple times
Looked under my AS options as to which unit overides which. It doesn't give me any ability to change any settings in my tasks.
I am ready to go back to just having a plain phone and PDA!!

I had the same problem. Here is what worked for me. Open the mail app and delete your exchange account (Settings > Delete Account). Then re-add your Exchange account. After this my Exchange contacts showed up again.
