Task related to timesheet entries

i have the task  TS 20000460 which is relateed to time sheet entries with the default rule 00000157 for determining the superior positon and the custom user exit
(cats0008) for determining the approver the task is set in the data entry profile
and everything is fine in the production environment but suddenly we get a issue from the end user saying that the notification to the managers not being sent what could be the probale reason
RH_ACT_LEADING_POSITION is the Fm used in the rule

What do you mean by notification? The task or an e-mail notifying the user of new tasks? If it is the task, check SWIA or SWI1 to see if the task is started around the time the time sheet is saved. You can then check the logging for any problems.
If it is a notification check in scot if mails are being sent, or even if the emails are being created.

    Have you tried raising a SR on oracle support?
    Also, Timesheet performance is a known issue and there are multiple such issues reported on metalink. You can look at the issues for potential solutions!

    can there be a workflow with out a work flow template and only with workflow
    tasks and user exits and rules attached to the tasks

  • Timesheet entry screen - where do I start?

    Hi,
    I want to write a timesheet entry screen laid out in table form with the column headers being the date and the row title being the task name. I have to generate columns for dates that may not yet exist in the underlying timesheet table, then capture the times from the user and insert/update into the timesheet tables. There will also be a variable number of columns, depending on the number of days in the month.
    However, I'm not sure which of the various options available to me in HTML DB to use. I think a collection is appropriate for the form, but how do I go about generating the region in the first place? Do I use a dynamic report? If so then how do I make it a form as opposed to a report? Or do I use a PL/SQL package and hand-generate it using the PL/SQL Web Toolkit (my last resort!).

    You can not create custom field for Personal task or administrative task (OOB).
    Project server allows us to create Project, Task, Resource, level task.
    You can only Specify Line of classification and New Administrative Time category.
    Choose that while creating Personal task or administrative task.
    But if you really want to customize the from then please go thorugh thread which is talking about the same

  • Webpart won't show tasks related to the list item

    Hi
    I have a 'Complaints' task webpart that's displayed under a (list) display form. The tasks are created by a workflow, when a complaint is created. I can get all of the tasks to appear in the webpart, but I can't filter it - I'm wanting the tasks relating
    to the specific complaint to appear in the webpart, but I can't seem to get this to work.
    I've tried several ways:
    creating a new calculated field to extract the ID from the hyperlink in the 'Link' column (*ID='12').  In the webpart I connected the complaint 'Id' to the new calculated field.
    Created a new calculated field to extract the Title from the hyperlink in the 'Link' column (*ID=12, 'Complaint against B & M Builders'). In the webpart I connected the complaint 'Title' to the new calculated field.
    *Can't display the whole hyperlink for privicy reasons.
    Any ideas how I can get this webpart to work?
    There's a similar question 'Webpart to show related tasks', but the solution involves using Designer - I was wondering if it can be done at the front end.

    So if you're creating a task via workflow, put the current item (complaint) ID into the Task in a column called RelatedComplaintID. Then on the page, connect the two web parts together and bind ID to RelatedComplaintID.

    I came to know that task has status like unreleased, pending, queued, dispatched, active, loaded and completed.
      What is the table name, If their is a specific table that can hold the status of all the status, if not what are all tables that are getting effected in this process.
      for example:
       order number has status and it is maintained in or_order_headers and oe_order_lines. as the process changes wsh_deliveries, wsh_delivery_details, wsh_delivery_assignments,... etc will get effected.
    The similar way, in our case what is the main derived table like(order_headers, lines) and if their is a process what will be the underlined tables which are getting effected.

    I assume that a super admin user does not get these error messages, right? If so, this behaviour might come due to missing permissions on PCD objects for the user rubinmd. Please apply note 792370 which explains how to set end user permission on the pcd folder com.sap.ip.collaboration/Rooms

    I have been using a Win Mobile device for several years but am considering switching to the iPhone, However, I have grown quite accustomed to the integration between Outlook Mobile and MS Exchange. I understand that the iPhone will sync my email, calendar and contacts with MS Exchange, which is great, but I have a significant list of “tasks” or “to-do” entries in Exchange that also sync w/the Win Mobile device. Will the iPhone provide the same functionality?

    In addition to the reasons mentionned in the article below (booking type and assignment owner), check the following:
    The publish field for the assignments must contains "YES",
    The project must be published successfully (with no errror messages in the queue),
    The resource must be an enterprise resource and not a local resource,
    You must look at the correct time period,
    You must ensure that there are no filters in the timesheet view,
    Then if it is a newly created task (after the timesheet was created), try inserting the assignment using the "insert row" button,
    If none of above work, for the assignments in question, change the assignment owner for any other resource, publish the project, change back the assignment owner to the right resource and publish again the project,
    Finally, remove the assignment and create it again (and publish).

       You need stop cross company code transaction which is done at Controlling area level setting and also you need to see whether inter company code transaction at OBYA has been allowed or not. Kindly get the help of your FI/CO person.

    Hi,
    The email functionality is already available in the print program of PO and RFQ.  For PO(Output type MAHN) the program is SAPFM06P. We are passing the sender and receipient in OPEN_FORM (Include LMEDRUCKF1O). So no need to write the mail functionality again.
    My problem is after the email is sent to the recipient then  an acknowledgement is also sent to the sender saying the "mail sent to Vendor". I want to disable this acknowledgement feature.
    Same with RFQ. The RFQ(output type NEU) is using the the smartform and we are passing sender and recipient details in the  CALL FUNCTION lf_fm_name.
    How to disable the acknowledgement feature.

    The requirement is  to restrict the timesheet entry period (2 weeks) in the portal. ie the user should be allowed to edit previous or  next two weeks timesheet only.

    @Siddharth: I remember we went over this a while ago but am posting it here for the benefit of a renewed discussion.
    The validation in the CATS User exit will kick in only when the user clicks on the Check & Refresh button, which I believe isn't user friendly. What if the user enters a bunch of entries only to realize that he/she shouldn't be doing so, wouldn't it be frustrating? I would rather expect the restriction to occur at a higher level, i.e. the user should not be allowed to pick a date that the business logic decides (could be 'n' pay periods going back from system date). As you we know, there are at least 3/4 ways a user can pick a date in the past on the Record Working Time Application.
