  • MIRO Tax Error NAFF707 Tax does not equal 0 when tax % rate is Zero

    Hello Sap Guru's-
    New issue with MIRO today for all our invoices with tax.  We have been live with ECC 6.0 and something has changed preventing my users from posting invoices.
    When the user adds tax and an item to undisclosed amount for freight, etc, typically the user goes and post.  SAP is not allowing this to happen as we receive the following error:
    Error Message NA FF707
    Tax entered incorrect (code I1, amount 6.86) correct 0.00
    The system checks the tax amounts for each code on document level.  However, the amounts entered deviate more from the amount calculated (using the percentage rates defined in the tax code) than is alloweed considering rounding errors.
    This message is an error message, and the error is telling me to correct the tax amounts or the base amounts, depending on how your tax code is defined.
    We are on Vertex.
    When I look at the PO, the lines for tax are zero.
    Is this a Vertex problem?
    I appreciate your help!

    figured it out

  • US Tax Error - " specify Tax jurisdiction key"

    Hi I have configured the input taxes properly. I have created a tax code for 0% tax and assigned it to a jurisdiction and specified. I have selected the procedure TAXUSJ. when I try to post an invoice the system is giving an error saying " specify a Tax jurisdiction Key".
    Regards
    Madhu

    Hi madu,
    i think in your invoice screen (f-43 or f-22) the Tax jurisdiction code is in suppressed mode.
    so please Go to the TCODE:OBD2 for customers OBD3 for vendors and select your customer or vendor group then select display button.here select general data under field status then double click on control under select group. here you can make Tax jurisdiction code as a optional then save the changes.
    definitely this will help you

    i have a problem while I'm adding an AR Invoice Document contented witholding Tax, using DI API 2005 SP01.
    i have an error message "Total Taxable amount of all rows exceeds the based amount"
    Seems like the base amount is never filled, because in the DI API i can not find a way to fill it (base amount is a read only field).
    does anyone know how to solved this issued
    thanks for all your solution

    Hi Edward,
    thanks for your quick reply
    regarding to your answer,
    i'm using the latest patch of 2005A SP01 (PL 22)
    if i created via SBO interface (GUI), as we knew that base amount in WTax Table
    is filled automatically depend on Total Before Discount (in case of Net), but
    my problem is when i create via DI API (SDK) object (Witholding Tax Object) (not using SBO GUI). I cannot set the base amount value, so I got those Error message which i already posted above.
    Please your advice

  • Company code 1000's witholding tax reference number is missing

    Hello All,
    We are running the report RFIDYYWT / t.code S_P00_07000134 for the first time to file tax returns in the US.
    And we see the following errors;
    27    Company code 1000's witholding tax reference number is missing
    28    EDI identifier for company code 1000 is missing
    I did check the Additional Data for our US company code on OBY6 but there are no fields as such for Withholding Tax Reference and EDI Identifier.
    Also checked the Output Group US1 config under Withholding Tax. Not sure about Parameter Types "Tax Ref. 1" and "EDI Ref." fields.
    I see different threads with similar issues but could not find a solution for this specific problem. Could someone help us fix this problem so we can file this year's returns on time ? This is turning out to be a critical issue for our Finance team ...
    Thanks

    Found it - for US company Code, I went into the additional data of OBY6 and scrolled to the "Next Page". The namTax number USA (TIN) can be discovered, in the hidden pages of SAP

    Input & out put taxes are the tax types.
    In FTXP T.code give the tax code and  click on the
    Input tax codes are used for purchase cycle and out put taxes are for sales cycle. I Hope you have given the sales related tax code. Thats why system is giving the error message.

  • Tax error while posting an invoice in SRM

    We are using SRM 5.5 SP4, ECS and ECC 6.0. We are using vertex for tax caluculation and we configured the tax calculation to always occur in ECC.
    One more important point is, client has decided to use invoicing in SRM. Now the problem is we ran in to so many tax related issues and we opened OSS messages for this but SAP did not help. Let me explain the problem in detail.
    1) We used to get "Tax jurisdiction code could not be determined" error while creating shopping cart, but we implemented note 436760 and hardcoded a value and got rid of that error.
    2) When we create a SC, the copy of PO is created in ECC and vertex is called for tax calculation and tax is calculated properly based on the tax hierarchy except when you use the Shipping Address (external), so when I used the delivery address other than plant, it should calculate based on that address but it was not doing that, its calculating based on the cost object's jurisdiction code. For this problem, we have implemented ME_ADDRESS BADI in ECC, but with this BADI, it is always taking delivery address's jurisdiction code, which is also wrong.
    The tax jurisdiction determination should be from 1) Delivery address if its different from plant, else it should look in to the cost object, else storage location then plant.
    So we implemented the above logic in that BADI and there is no problem with PO taxes.
    3) When we create an invoice with reference to PO, the invoice verification program is always determining the tax jurisdiction code from plant even though the taxes on PO are calculated based on cost object, hence the IDOC is erroring out by saying there is a difference in tax.
    So we implemented the user exit and used the same logic of tax determination and its fixed now.
    4) Finally, we are trying to create invoices without PO's in SRM, here no tax calculation is happending in SRM, but when we try to post the invoice in to ECC, we are getting the following error
    "SAX processing failed on input stream#SAX processing failed when attempting to add child element to parent.  (parent element=com.vertexinc.tps.common.domain.LineItem, child element=com.vertexinc.tps.x.."
    So I am not sure how to fix this, we are at the dead end now out of ideas, so trying to get some help from experts like you about looking at this problem in a different angle. Now there are a couple of questions I can ask you
    1) Did we do something wrong by selecting R/3 as the tax calculation system, if not is it difficult to fix this error and move forward?
    2) What if we need to change the design and start calculating the taxes in SRM by connecting SRM to Vertex, will there be any new challenges? and do you have any config doc for this? Also we are implementing this rollout for US, Canada and Mexico companies.
    I would really appreciate if you can reply me with your valuable input. You can also email me if @ [email protected]
    Thanks a lot,
    Sreedhar

    Hi
    <b>It's recommended to have the same Tax related configuration data replicated in SRM system from R/3 as well.
    I don't recommeded you to go with Hard-coding of tax codes.
    We have faced similar issues with Delivery address and we have to solve it using our custom logic inside the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI  and BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK BADIs.</b>
    Anyways, send the detailed business requirements to my mail which are already having with you.        )
    I will definitely help you out.

  • With holding tax error FZ379-"Error in WHT certificate numbering"-Thailand

    Hi,
    We are receiving an error "FZ379 - Error in WHT certificate numbering" while posting an outgoing payment for a vendor in Thailnd.
    Here is the business process we follwed:
    1. Posted Down payment request on vendor.
    2. Paid down payment through F110.
    3. Cleared down payment using F-54 and created a credit in vendor.
    4. Posted an invoice to vendor.
    5. Ran F110 to pay the net amount to the vendor, No errors in payment proposal but when the payment run is carried out it got cancelled with error message FBZ79.
    As  an alternative, we posted a credit memo replacing the down payment credit and then F110, To our surprise the payment run completed successfully.
    Does it make sense to anyboy? Is this issue applies to only Thailand.
    Thanks,
    Mano.

    Hello Mano,
    I would like to refer you to the following note :-
      1090637  Thailand-Withholding tax certificate numbering, RFIDYYWT
    which states :-
    ~~~~~
    Solution
    For release 470 onwards, certificate number generation at the time of
    document posting is not supported by SAP. SAP recommends generating
    certificate numbering at the time of reporting.
    ~~~~~
    Can you kindly check the following customizing in IMG (Transaction
    SPRO) :-
    -> Financial Accounting
      -> Financial Accouting Basic Settings
       -> Withholding Tax
        -> Extended Withholding Tax
         -> Calculation
          -> Withholding Tax Type
           -> Define Withholding Tax Type for Payment Posting
            -> Country Key TH
             -> Wth.t.type 11
    Inside the customizing, there is a tab 'Control Data'. Please select the
    checkbox 'No Cert. Numbering'. ie certificate number should not be
    generated during payment. It should be generated when you run RFIDYYWT.
    hope this helps

    It is enough if you provide the OSS note number.  Dont copy paste the solution since legally it is not allowed

  • Error FF753 Tax code 01 not appear in any G/L account item with FM Active

    Hi
    We have fund management configured for one of the company code, while creating billing document through VF01/VF02 we are  getting the Error FF753 Tax code 01 not appear in any G/L account item.
    This error however does not appear when posting directly from FI with the same tax code.
    I have tried to change the message control in which case i am getting a dump pointing to PSM-FM.
    Please advise.

    Sandeep

    Hi:
              If you could please refer to the contents of  OSS Note 112609 - How are tax codes transferred to conditions ?
    "Symptom
    If a billing document is transferred to accounting the system displays error messages. Transferring tax codes from tax conditions into the pricing conditions and discounts does not function as expected.
    Other terms
    FF805, FF747, FF753, MWSKZ, MWSK1, tax code
    Reason and Prerequisites
    The tax condition in the SD pricing procedure contains incorrect reference steps, there are several tax conditions in the pricing procedure of which the tax codes overwrite each other or a program error exists.
    Solution
    In the accounting document for a billing document, the different G/L account line items are provided with a tax code. The tax code of the G/L accounts is transferred from the tax condition(s) of the billing document. How are the tax codes of the tax conditions transferred into the other conditions of a billing document ?
    Basically:
    The conditions of a billing document are read from top to bottom. As soon as an active tax (inactive = ' ') is read, the system transfers the tax code of this tax into the non-tax conditions as follows:
        1. The reference steps (From-step, To-step) are read (the reference steps are defined in the pricing procedure).
        2. The tax code is transferred into all conditions, for which
        the step number of the condition lies in the pricing procedure between "From-step" and "To-step",
        the condition is not inactive (exactly: the inactive flag is not equal to A (Condition exclusion), M (Inactive due to manual entry), or X (Incorrect)),
        the condition is not statistical (if it is no invoice list condition),
        the condition is no tax condition.
    After the transfer of the tax code the system searches for the next active tax. If further taxes are found, their tax code is again transferred according to the above procedure. If the reference steps of different taxes overlap, tax codes that have already been transferred are overwritten. To all non-tax conditions which in the pricing procedure stand after the last tax condition the tax code of the last active tax condition is transferred if they are not statistical.
    Special features:
        1. If the "From-step" of a tax condition refers to a subtotal of the pricing procedure, the tax code of the tax is not only transferred into the conditions with step number between From-step and To-step but into all non-tax conditions for which
        the step number of the condition in the pricing procedure is lower than the "To-step" of the tax condition.
        the condition is not statistical (if it is no invoice list condition).
        the condition is not a tax condition.
        2. If the "To-step" of the tax condition is smaller than the "From-step", then the system sets "To-step = From-step".
    Notes:
        1. As of Release 4.0 the tax code is no longer transferred in pricing but only when the billing document is released to accounting.
        2. If you use several taxes and tax codes and Customizing is incorrect for the release of billing documents to accounting, among others the system may display error message FF747.
        3. If there are several taxes in the pricing procedure refer to Notes 72173 and 82091 for Releases 3.0D - 3.1G. For Release 3.1H, only note 82091 is relevant.
        4. For conditions which are transferred into accounting (thus not statistical, not inactive conditions) and do not contain a tax code, the system searches for a default tax code which in Accounting Customizing can be set depending on the company code (tax code for non-taxable transactions). This applies to releases up to and including Release 4.5B. For Release 4.6, refer to Note 385127."
