Taxware configuration to prevent writing to external audit file

We have a 3 instance system with each instance supporting a different company.
I need to know how I can prevent SAP from writing to the external tax audit file. I will use the data from within SAP to report taxes.
I could not find anything on the Taxware side, which informed me that some thing needs to be done on the SAP side and a search of SAP docs and sites has returned nothing regarding this.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Andrew,
  Thanks for your response, and I did try your suggestion. However, I needed to make some modifications since I wanted Labview Write vi to start writing RIGHT AWAY, for 5 secs, and then stop, which is exactly opposite so I used an "inverter" to invert the boolean logic coming out of the "time elapsed" vi to turn on the Labview Write vi.
   One thing about this "time elapsed" vi that puzzles me is that it needs to be put into a While loop for it to work, if don't do that, then the elapsed time stays at "0" for some reason meaning it's not counting time at all!! So I had to enclose it within a While-Loop. I have a couple of questions.
  1. Why does the "time elapsed" vi need to be working in a while loop? I've tried running the LabView program in a "Run Continuously" mode as opposed to "Run" mode, the elapsed time simply stays at zero.. don't know why..
  2. What's the difference running a Labview code at "Run Continuously" mode or just enclose everything inside a while loop and "Run" ?
  I've attached my modified script that'll correctly write to file for 5 sec and turn off. It seems so verbose for such a simple task.

  • Tax Audit file (Taxware) is updated real-time from SAP

    This is an issue when there are server issues, disaster recover, or any connection issues. I do not see a way in RFYTXDISPLAY to control the update.  Does anyone know how to make it so that the updates to external tax audit file is done in batch instead of real-time?

    What release of SAP are you on?  In some older releases, SAP provided update programs to do what you ask.  If SAP is down, there are no transactions and no taxes to update.  If Taxware is down, the updates are queued in SMQ1.  You can, once Taxware is up, release all the updates.

    How do I configure a Pioneer DVR-XD10 external dvd writer to my macbook pro laptop?
    I read online that you could use an external dvd writer on a macbook pro when the internal dvd writer died.
    Please help?
    It shows power running through the external dvd writer when I plug in the two usb ends into the respective ports, but it doesn't recognize it when I try to write media to a DVD.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you have not already done so, your chances will really improve if you....

  • Reading an external property file for adapter configurations (How-To)

    One thing that has bugged me is having to change an Adapter's property settings in the context file and then build and re-deploy the bundle to effect those changes. This really becomes a problem when you want to test a bundle in different server environments (Development, QA, Staging) and then finally deploy that same bundle to Production. Here at EnerNOC, all those environments have different message servers and database schema names, making it a real challenge to insure you're building the same bundle each time for the different environments.
    I played with a number of different ideas, but I wanted the solution to be Spring based. I finally settled on a rather simple solution to use external property files with the <util:properties/> tag of Spring, and then injecting the bean created from this into the adapters requiring different configurations.
    First, in the context file, I needed to add a new Spring namespace - http://www.springframework.org/schema/util:
    +<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"+
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"*
    xmlns:osgi="http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi"*
    xmlns:wlevs="http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring"*
    xmlns:util="http://www.springframework.org/schema/util"*
    xsi:schemaLocation="*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans.xsd*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi/spring-osgi.xsd*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/util*
    http://www.springframework.org/schema/util/spring-util-2.5.xsd*
    http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring*
    http://www.bea.com/ns/wlevs/spring/spring-wlevs-v11_1_1_3.xsd">*
    Next, I defined a bean for my property file:
    +*<util:properties id="serverProperties" location="file:./applications/MyApplication/server.properties"/>*+
    And then finally, I modified my adapter to inject a Properties object and use that to define the other properties in the Adapter:
    +*<wlevs:adapter id="MyMessageAdapter" class="com.enernoc.cep.message.adapter.MyMessageAdapter" >*+
    +*<wlevs:instance-property name="properties" ref="serverProperties"/>*+
    +*<wlevs:listener ref="HAInputAdapter"/>*+
    +*</wlevs:adapter>*+
    With this change, I can now build and deploy a bundle once to whatever servers I choose, and modify the server.properties file in each environment to make the necessary changes for message servers and databases. In a multi-server enviroment this becomes really handy as our deploy script needs to only create and push server.properties files and not new bundles.
    As a nice-to-have feature someday, it would be great if Oracle could enable their <wlevs:/> namespace to recognize the Spring PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer feature, so that we could use placeholder variables for property values of <wlevs:/> specific tags.

    Jim,
    You can use com.bea.wlevs.spring.support.ConfigurationPropertyPlaceholderConfigurer, which is based on org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer. For example,
    <bean class="com.bea.wlevs.spring.support.ConfigurationPropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
    <property name="location" value="file:config/test.properties"/>
    </bean>
    <wlevs:adapter id="myAdapter" class="oracle.cep.sample.MyTestAdapter" >
    <wlevs:instance-property name="serverAddress" value="${serverAddress}"/>
    </wlevs:adapter>
    Manju.

  • How can SAP be configured to prevent users from consuming locks?

    How can SAP be configured to prevent users from consuming locks?
    The issue is that we want to prevent users to use upto maximum locks and so that we will not get lock table overflow issue. I know that we can assign parameter "enque/table_size" a good amount of value. But it is not for any specific user.
    Also want to alert in CCMS if any user reaches to its maximum speficified limit of locks.
    Thanks
    Gopesh

    You cannot set a limit of locks per user. There are two ways to reduce/control the number of locks:
    - change fewer records within one transaction
    - cover more records with one lock using wildcards
    Basically it is an application / development issue.

  • Media files prevent Flash from fully loading external XML file

    Im trying to debug a flash widget we created, and it loads
    fine on the 20 odd computers we tested on EXCEPT for one computer
    where, the application doesn't load an external XML file that calls
    for 3 small mp3 files and a FLV file to load as well.
    In a debugger, we noticed that when it tried to load these
    mp3 files it was getting a Forbidden access message. The FLV just
    prevents the FLV player from showing up at all (not even the skin).
    Can anyone figure out why, that it would work over all the
    other computers and NOT the one? On that person's computer, we
    tried it in IE, Firefox, even Chrome and the application doesn't
    load. We even cleared the cache, did a hard refresh and still
    nothing.
    However, the other computers work just fine.
    ALL the computers have the latest Flash software installed.
    What could cause this problem?

    Actually what worked was removing 'xmldoc' from the php script. So $data =$GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"]; instead of $data = xmldoc($GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"]);
    Couldn't find anything about 'xmldoc'. Is it used for anything in php?
    Anyway, the loading error went away, but then I got into problems with getting the return echoed values back. The textfield stayed empty even when saving the data.txt file worked.
    I then placed the <stuff> tags between <root> tags and then flash got the sentences between the <stuff> tags back. Why does Flash need the returned xml output to be between <root> tags for it to see the content between the <stuff> tags? So why do I need to use echo("<root><stuff>Server unable to create file.</stuff></root>"); instead of cho("<stuff>Server unable to create file.</stuff>");?

    Hi Viswa
    I agree that queries are a good way to do the extracts.
    I am trying to see if we can use DART to do the table extracts.
    Does your company use that tool?
    The DART tool has capability to extract table data and also has user exits to allow to add more source tables to that process.

  • ITunes not writing tag info to file

    Recently iTunes hasn't been writing the tag info to the mp3 files when I import a new cd. I've never had a problem with this until recently.
    I'm using iTunes 6.0.5 on a Intel Mini 1.66 with OS 10.4.6. When I insert a new disc it shows the proper track, artist, album, etc info. It titles the tracks correctly and puts them in my iTunes library correctly. However, when I check the tag info in MediaRage it shows nothing! I don't think it's a problem with MediaRage because I tried to import the cds on my Powerbook and they import fine.
    I discovered this when I recently needed to reformat my music harddrive. When I copied the files back into iTunes a bunch of tracks came up as unknown artist and album. When I checked them furhter I found they were the last 6 or 7 cds I had imported. So they went into iTunes initially with the correct info, but the tag info hadn't been written, so when I reimported them iTunes organized them into the unknown folder.
    I've been able to work around this by using the convert id3 tags command immediately after importing a new cd. Then all the info shows up correctly in MediaRage. But I shouldn't have to do this extra step! I've updated to the latest version of iTunes in case the last version was corrupted somehow. That didn't help. I've looked for the iTunes preferences file but can't find it.
    So sorry for the long ramble but I've searched everywhere and can't find a solution or even anyone else mentioning this problem.
    HELP!
    tia
    G4 Titanium Powerbook, Intel Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   ext WD 320gb

    It's difficult to say what's causing this problem, although at this moment in time there still seem to be a lot of bugs with various software when running on Intel-based Macs.
    Unfortunately, for some odd reason, iTunes writes ID3 v. 2.2 tags by default rather than the more acceptable v. 2.3 (or even 2.4). You might try ripping your CDs with Max using the provided (LAME) MP3 encoder. You should get more accurate rips to start with (using the paranoia ripper), and the highest qualtiy MP3s using the superior LAME encoder. Your files will have ID3 v. 2.4 tags written to them. You can also configure Max, in its preferences, to add files directly to your iTunes library upon encoding for perfect integration with iTunes. Hopefully this will work well for you and your files will retain their metadata.

    Andrei1,
    Thank you for the helpful advice. I made the changes as you suggested but I am receiving a #1009 error message even though my site is working the way I wan it to work. I would still like to fix the errors so that my site runs and error free. This is the error I am receiving:
    "TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference."
    I'm sure this is not the best method to unload loaders and I am guessing this is why I am receiving the following error message.
         loader.unload();
         loader2.unload();
         loader3.unload();
    I also tried creating a function to unload the loader but received the same error message and my portfolio swf was not showing at all.
         function killLoad():void{
         try { loader.close(); loader2.close; loader3.close;} catch (e:*) {}
         loader.unload(); loader2.unload(); loader3.unload();
    I have a question regarding suggestion you made to set Mouse Event to "null". What does this do setting the MouseEvent do exactly?  Also, since I've set the MouseEvent to null do I also have to set the loader to null? e.g.
    ---- Here is my updated code ----
    // variable for external loaders
    var loader:Loader;
    var loader1:Loader;
    var loader2:Loader;
    var loader3:Loader;

    // resizes portfolio page to center
         loader.x = (stage.stageWidth - loader.width) * .5;
         loader.y = (stage.stageHeight - loader.height) * .5;
    // resizes about page to center
         loader3.x = (stage.stageWidth - 482) * .5 - 260;
         loader3.y = (stage.stageHeight - 492) * .5 - 140;
    //adds gallery.swf to stage at begining of moviie

  • AS2 to AS3 conversion... external array files

    I'm at the tail end of writing an app in ActionScript2 for a
    client and was just told that it needs to be rewritten in
    ActionScript3. ((8-0
    I'm pretty good at AS2, very new to AS3. So here's a question
    (the first of many, I'm afraid): I currently have a series of
    external data files... really just .as files each of which
    instantiates and populates an array... that I've been bringing in
    at compile time using
    #include. The question is, what do I need to do to get those
    same files into an AS3 version... do they need to be set up as
    packages? Do I leave them as they are, stick 'em in the folder and
    they'll show up?
    Any guidance would be deeply appreciated.

    move the instantiation to a class...perhaps your document
    class if you are writing in Flash (as opposed to
    FlexBuilder).

  • External XML files in Flash iPhone apps

    Hi everyone. I know that apple has loosened up on what is and isn't allowed on the app store these days, such as flash. I was thinking of writing an app that would call upon a web based xml file to call up pictures to display in the iPhone.
    I know Apple doesn't allow apps that call upon external scripts but it's not an executable script, its a list of images and where they are stored. Does anybody have any input on whether Apple may have a problem with this?
    Cheers

    don't know.
    I'm not sure of the differences between actionscript in flash and javascript in the browser but you could call for an XML file to be sent as json data from the script if accessing external XML files directly is not allowed.
    Problem is that XML can contain anything you want it too... it could contain a script itself.

    another question..
    if i want to execute an action when the ok button is cliked how can i do it?
    whe i add a button(widget) i know how to handle it. please see my code.
    // Call the base class Update function so that default behavior will still occur (OK and Cancel buttons, etc.).
    CDialogObserver::Update(theChange, theSubject, protocol, changedBy);
    do
    InterfacePtr<IControlView> controlView(theSubject, UseDefaultIID());
    ASSERT(controlView);
    if(!controlView) {
    break;
    // Get the button ID from the view.
    WidgetID theSelectedWidget = controlView->GetWidgetID();
    if (theChange == kTrueStateMessage)
    //if (theSelectedWidget == kEXTCODGoButtonWidgetID
    switch(theSelectedWidget.Get())
             case kEXTCODGoButtonWidgetID:
      this->ViewOutput();
      break;
             case kEXTCODFindButtonWidgetID:
      this->SaveLog();
      break;
    // TODO: process this
    } while (kFalse);
    I do two actions "SaveLog" & "ViewOutput()" using two buttons. But i dont know how to execute an action when the ok button is clicked...
