Teaming - Changing Email Domain

With Teaming 2.0, can I change the domain name that is automatically appended to Email URLs created for workspaces. folders etc.
The default appears to be the domain part the server hostname. I need to change that so that users external to our organisation can email postings into Teaming as our email domain is different to that of the server.
Folder URLs still need to have the server domain appended to them.
Any ideas?

Hi Guys,
Apologies for late reply.
Were using GroupWise! - what's Exchange? The problem is down the list of priorities at the moment - our collaboration site is using a second Teaming zone, with a virtual host domain that can be accessed by both our internal and external users using the same URL. That means the Teaming permalinks work for all and the Teaming SMTP server can process email.

  • Change email domain delivery priority

I have one email domain (DomainA) that I would like to have the highest priority for delivery, it's an internal domain so I can setup a specific smtproute with priority 0.  The issue is we send a lot of email to a lot of domains (DomainB,DomainC, DomainD) and the queue can build up.  But I want DomainA delivered as soon as the ironport received the email.  I've tried to add DomainB,DomainC, DomainD to smtp routes with 'usedns' but it will not keep a higher priority setting that is larger than 0.  So I'm not sure how I can make specific domains deliver quicker than the default domains.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    -Shawn

    Hello Shawn,
there is a difference between the workqueue (messages in workqueue) and delivery queue (active recipients). SMTP Routes, Destination Controls etc. work on delivery indeed, however there is currently no prioritization you can set on the workqueue, do get messages from one sender processed faster than from others.  You can address this in a slightly different way though, for instance by setting up limits on receiving for all hosts but the ones you want to prioritize, to prevent that the workqueue is building up. A common setting used for this is the "Rate Limit for Envelope Senders" in the mail flow policies. Activating this will limit the rate of messages injected per sender address, for a given time frame (default is 60 minutes, but can be changed). You could activate this setting in all mail flow policies, except the one for the senders you want to prioritize, or, use the "address list" for excluding senders from this policy.
    Hope that helps,
    Regards, Andreas

  • Change Email Domain

    Hello,
I have two domain names sat on account and would like to change the mail boxes from one to the other.
    Example
There are two domain names on the account: www.abc.com & www.abcltd.com
Email addresses are currently: [email protected] and I would like to change them to the other domain as the default email like: [email protected]
Is it possible to do this without completely deleting the email account? Can I change the default domain name of an email address? (Like you can for the default web address)
    Thanks

    Hi,
Ok...you have two options. Please note you simply cannot transfer email accounts so this is important to understand.
Option #1 - Keep the settings as is because you already have "ckcouriers.co.uk" as the secondary mail record.  Which means you can already use [email protected] since the system automatically generates the secondary email accounts.
If you access webmail you can see that you can send/recieve using "[email protected]".  It's just that emails will appear in the default mail account "[email protected]"
If you do not like this set-up.  Then I'm option #2 will require you to remove the current MX record.  This will wipe out your current emails however.  The steps are as follows...
Only do this with the understanding emails will be wiped out
    1) Delete MX record "ckcouriers.co.uk"
    2) Delete MX record "ckcouriersolutions.co.uk (default domain for email)"
    3) re-add MX record "ckcouriers.co.uk" which the system will recognize as the new default.

  • Change email domain used by Lion Server

I need some help with getting the names used by my server lined up:
The server itself is called 'server.<domain>'
The server lives on an IP address linked to 'www.<domain>'
The mail system on the server sends / receives mail sent to '<domain>'
email announcements from the server indicates that the mail is coming from 'noreply@www.<domain>'
The default email addresses setup using profile manager are all "name@www.<domain>'
How do I adjust the server settings to get it to default to using <domain> rather than www.<domain> in these circumstances?

    Hello Nivvle,
This could be due to a substitution being set in System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text.

  • How do I change team member emails?

How do I change a team member's email address only?

    Hi Dave,
As an admin(which you are), please log in to www.creative.adobe.com, from the admin console(manage my team), you can just click on the cross (x) sign in front of the Email address invite that you would like to change.(This is revoking of invite)
The next step would be send an invite to the desired Email, which once accepted will be a part of Creative Cloud Team.
The team member if already was a part of Creative Cloud Team & his Email was changed will not have to uninstall.
He can just log out of CC App & relog in with the new Email with which he has accepted the new invite.
Note:Old Email can be revoked & new invites can be send only by Admin.

  • Primary Email Domain Change

    Hi All,
I am  in the process of changing primary domain email in my organization   . We use active sync and ldap throughout our network. Is there anything that I should take care of before doing the change ?
I would also like if someone could help me out with the steps that I need to follow for the change.
    Thanks

    Hi Philip,
    Thank you for your question.
We would refer to the following steps to modify user’s primary email address:
I assume we want to modify the primary email address to contoso.com.
    Create an accept domain for contoso.com;
    Modify the “Default Policy” in email address policies to contoso.com and enable default policy;
Refresh recipient email address and rebuilt the user profile.
We could refer to the following links to sync email address in outlook:

  • Primary email domain name change

We are going to be changing our company's email domain name shortly in order to make it shorter.  We are running Exchange 2010, mostly Outlook 2010, on a mostly Server 2008 domain but still running in 2003 mode.  We have a trust with a sister company
and until they upgrade to 2008 we cannot upgrade.
As an example we are changing our domain name from @microsoftcontoso.com to @contoso.com.
I am testing in my machine and set exchange & our spam filters to accept email from contoso.com.  I also changed my primary email address to be @contoso.com. I tested to my personal email and my new emails are coming from the correct email address.
My issue lies in the fact that my Outlook client still shows my email address as @microsoftcontoso.com.  If I create a new outlook profile on a new computer, it does show it as being just @contoso.com.
My question is how do I mass update everyone's Outlook in order for their Outlook client to show their new domain email address?  My fear is people will get confused and think they have the wrong address.
Thank you for any help provided.

    Hi,
Based on my research, group policy can help Outlook sync the new primary email address.
For more information, you can refer to the following similar thread:

  • Internet Email Domain Name Change

Mangagement wants our email domain name changed because of it's length. Another government agency handles hosting for us now and can't change it for us. I have paid for a new name using a company on the internet and now have to switch it over. I see, in console one, that I can create a second name in Tools -> Groupwise System Operations -> Internet addressing and then set one of them to preffered. Can I do this and then set the new name as preferred? I would like to allow email that is addressed to the old email domain name to flow to the users for 30 days. Looks like I will need to change the foriegn ID in the gwia and also the name in the internal groupwise domain properties. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Is this the best way to do this? Thanks

assuming there's no po/user/domain overrides of IA settings, that should
    work ok.

  • HT201342 change icloud email domain

How do I change my email address on my icloud email?

You can't change the primary address - the one you set up when you opened the account. You can add up to three email aliases, which are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main address. Details here:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a490a
All new aliases will take the form [email protected] You cannot change the domain (the part after the '@').

  • Changing of Domain part in email

I need to change the domain part of my company's email from [email protected] to
    [email protected]
Besides exporting the entire LDAP into a LDIF and change in by using a text
editor to replace abc with xyz, is there any other way. I know how to do it
with ldapmodify statement on one entry but is it possible to do it for all
    entry?
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi,
I was wondering if iPlanet has come up with a way to do multiple ldap modifies at once. I have been able to find one, but I noticed Oracle has other options (ldapmodifymt, bulkmodify).
    Thanks.

  • Change/Add new email domain name to my exchange 2010 server

My exchange server has a default email domain old.com
My company decided that they needed to start using new.com domain instead. is there a way to add a new.com to my exchange and manage (add/edit/delete) mailboxes [email protected]?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Except with the above suggestion, we also need to add public A record about the name Autodiscover.new.com which points to your Exchange server IP address.
    Thanks,

  • Interesting Presence issue and changing the domain

I've got an interesting problem that I recently posted about in a different discussion forum.
Basically I've got a presence setup. This is federated with an OCS. The OCS domain is something like company.com This is the same as the email domain, and the SIP uri's are sip:[email protected]
The issue is that when the presence server was set up, the proxy domain was set as something like cmp.local. cmp.local is the domain for the entire internal MS infrastructure. The problem appears to be that this conflicts with the internal domain. So when looking up in the directory instead of getting the OCS domain it gets replaced with the cmp.local. Functionally this results in the jabber client being unable to add federated OCS contacts from the directory as they just get added as internal jabber contacts.
I'm thinking of changing the domain on the presence server to something like jabber-cmp.local, i.e. a domain that doesnt exist. Once we migrate to jabber we'll change the domain again back to company.local so we can federate externally properly. Does anyone have any experience of doing something similar? Any pitfalls anyone can point out?

Federation can only be setup  a few ways
    - Intra domain  (company.com   federated to im.company.com)
    - inter domain (company.com  federated to abc.com)
    - Intra domain partitioned  (Company.com federated to company.com)
You need to define this to make any of the with CUPS 8.6.4 (you should run latest and greatest).   Now, depending on which version OCS you have R1 or R2 is important as well.
Put the CUPS server in the domain you want it in.  Some of the SIP paramenters can be pushed for Jabber 4 windows XML file  IE:
    msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress
      true
      sip:>

In my opinion, i think      "http://"   should be   "https://"  right?  Or Apple should show the link on your website  that we can find, re- check and click by ourselve. Or  Apple should do "How to confirm apple id" on your main page. ( in fact  i'm not sure you already done "How to" on your website yes or not, because I cannot find it)
The apple id is sensitive security, it's concerned personal security and any credit card payment so please understand me that's why i must to interrupt your team to help me to solve this problem. I'm scared my account will be blocked. Please advice me.
