Technical and/or business presentation

Hi!
I would like to know if anyone has a technical or business presentation about ESS to share. I need one that includes some screenshots.
Is there such papers in the help site? I couldn't find none.
Any help?
Thanks in advance,
Flavio Rasseli

Hello Flavio,
I haven't found presentations, but you can have a look at the business maps on this link.

  • SLD Export / import Technical and Business systems

    Dear all,
I am new to SLD administration.
We have task to update the local SLD on the Production PI system PPI ( Target ) with the business systems ZEC, ZSC from the Production Master SLD on Production solution manager system
PSM ( source ) using Export/Import on the necessary technical and business systems.
Please confirm whether i am following correct steps :
Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    ALL Instances
    Instances by Class
    Model
( which one of this option need to be selected , please let me know  ?? )
Go to SLD Administration on PSM source system.
    select Export button ->
Select business systems one by one and perform Export which will create .ZIP file
    at local machine.
Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    select Import button ->
Select Export ZIP file which created in previous steps from PSM and provide location from desktop
Start Import button ( only if you get Continue import option )
Please let me know if above procedure is correct for business systems
if yes then  what need to be done for Technical system ??...do they require Export/import also ?
If yes when i go to technical system option i get Export option disabled...but same way when i go to
business systems option i get Export button enable and able to perform the export.
Do i need to only Export / Import business systems ?
    Plese help me.
    Regards,
    RR

    Manoj,
It seems entries are added manually .... should we remove and run Import for the same ...
or just try to overwrite .... in case of overwrite option ( as we have open OSS message ) SAP has suggested through OSS message that If you end up with problems when trying to overwrite, then the PPI SLD is broken and will have to be re-built because someone made a manual change to it and got the GUIDs out of synch with the master.
I do not understand if target system PPI SLD gets broken during overwriting operation as mentioned by SAP ... whats is the way / steps / procedure to Re-build SLD .
In rebuilt - process do i need to Import ( Export -> Export lines -> ALL ) the export backup created before start of this activity ? please let me know SLD rebuilt steps and about Remove - reimport issue.
Appreciate you time on this. thanks in advance.

  • Creation of Technical and Business Systems

    HI Experts,
If I am having the one ECC, SAP 4.6C , Sap 4.7E, Mainframe , SQL Server systems,  to integrate  all these systems how we can maintain these in SLD.
Please Explain how many Technical Systems and Business Systems for these systems.
    thax

    Hi Sridhar
It is depend upon the type of the scenarios and your requirement.
There are a few basics you need to understand to be able to answer this.
1, Technical and Business Systems are of 3 types Java / ABAP and ThirdParty.
    2. When dealing with Java Proxies and Idocs/ ABAP Proxies, you need to create Technical and Business Systems corresponding to your SAP systems.
    3. For JDBC and SOAP etc, you can use a single Third Party Business System or , create multiple corresponding to each system you are integrtaing with you can use Business Service etc!
there are no hard and fast rules for JDBC , SOAP adapters and it all depends on how you are architecturally strucutring your SLD and your entire Integration landscape.
    Cheers..

  • Technical and Business System

    Hi,
I need to create a business system called ERT which is a sap R/3 system.
As we are using XI 3.0, please do provide the steps.
Moreover, once we create the technical and business system, how do we actually test it without running an scenario.
    Regards
    Krish

    Guys,
I tried creating comparing with development environment.
The only problem i am facing is that when we click technical system landscape, you have a parameter called system home.
That one is highlighted in development environment whereas it is not in my environment.
While giving some details, i dont know where to give the IP address of the technical system name.
If some kind of weblog is there, would be really helpful.

  • XI Technical and Business System Definition For MDM 2.0

    Hi,
We're trying to define the XI technical and business system definitions for our MDM 2.0 installation to work with SRM 5.0 and PI 7.0.
In the documentation we have we can't find reference to what type of a technical and business system to define. Should they be abap/java/standalone/3rd party?
Does anyone have any install scripts of what they did?
    Regards,
    Jerry Martinek

You can set it as third party and it will work fine.  Because MDM isn't built on the wed application server like the majority of the netweaver apps, it's basically treated like a third party system as far as integration is concerned.  Hence you send and receive XML documents to PI and convert them into IDocs to send to R/3
Check the beginning of this document on creating the business and technical systems for MDM

  • How can I download documents and business presentations to my i pad

HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD DOCUMENTS AND BUSINESS PRESENTATIONS TO MY IPAD ?

OK, I tried them all. Hit Caps doesn't do anything. E-mail to myself--ok, I got it in Mail, but can't get it out of there. I can read it there, but what if I accidently delete that mail? I have Pages. Can't get the PDF into iCloud. Dragged it to "books" in I tunes, and it is there, but doesn't get to the ipad.
Apple didn't used to be this complicated!!!!!
Whoops! I quit iTunes, and reopened. It synced with my iPad, and lo and behold there in books is my PDF. Would sure be easier if when I plugged iPad in it appeared on my desk like a disk, and I could just drag and drop stuff.

  • Real life technical and business issues--FICO--implementation

    Hello,
Can someone please give some real-life Technical and Business issues and problems faced by FICO consultant in different-different phases of implementation (asap)? please provide from basic to critical examples?
    Thanks,
    Amit
Moderator: Please, respect the rules of the forum

What you are asking is very project specific.
    Try to do the following:
    1. Ask for the detailed business requirements
    2.  Ask for the design documents. Usually, there will be bunch of documents that got documented when the project team made the design. There must be documents like conceptual / high level design, detailed / low level design, ABAP specifications, report specifications, etc.
    3. The design documents will contian other things, DATA FLOW DIAGRAM. Here in this diagram, you will see where the data comes and how it gets processed and transformed when the data reaches BW.
    4. Ask for your access to the develoment system or the sandbox ( where you can play around without affecting anybody's work).
    5. With the data fliow, you keep reviewing the objects in BW and also in the source system.
    6. Even if you dont get access to dev or sandbox, you cans till view the objects in display mode.
    7. Open the query designer and see how the variables are defined and how formulas are defined and how the restricted key figures are defined.
    8. In production system, go to SM37 and see the jobs that are scheduled.
    9. Try and co ordinate weekly calls with your team members and this is the place where ideas  and problems will be shared.

  • Technical and Business Advantage of WDA application over JAVA based applic

  • Difference between Technical and Business transaction archiving?

    Hi Guys,
Can any one explain the difference between Technical and business transaction archiving with practical example?
When we will go for Technical archiving and when we will go for business transaction archiving?
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

    Hello Vinod,
To me, Archiving Objects can be separated into 3 categories; Technical, Master Data and Transactional.  Technical Archiving would include archive objects such as IDOC's, BC_SBAL (application logs), BDCLOGPROD (batch input logs), etc.  Master Data Archive Objects would include MM_MATNR (material master), FI_ACCPAYB (vendor master data), FI_ACCRECV (customer master data), etc.  And, Transactional Archive Objects would include FI_DOCUMNT (financial documents), SD_VBAK (sales orders), MM_EKKO (purchase orders), etc.
Techincal Archive Objects usually are easier to implement and require less resources.  Master Data and Transactional Archive Objects usually take longer to implement as they will require business testing and sign-off.
This is a high-level explanation and I hope it helps answer your questions.
    Best Regards,
    Karin Tillotson

Is there any where that I can voice why I returned my beloved new Ipad? I was told I could move my Keynote presentations to it and then use it for my
business presentations. Unfortunately that turned out to not be true. I need the IPad to work with a remote.
The Ipad is on a short cable to my projector. I am usually on a podium 30 feet away. No infra red receiver on the IPad and
the Iphone remote needs wi fi which is not always available in all the locations I do my teaching and lecturing in.
If you can build a remote into the Ipad in the future I would really like to use an Ipad to replace my heavier lap top for business travel. Thank You Kathy McNeil.

  • Gathering Technical and Business Requirements for SAP PI

I need to some documents and tools, or interview guide & questionnaire to gather the stakeholders' technical and business requirements for SAP PI

    Thanks for the links,
I am quite new at SAP and currently trying to elaborate should i use SAP PI or not based on my project stakeholder's requirements.
And my biggest problem right now is how to capture technology and business requirements and match them with SAP PI
I plan to use this format while requirements gathering about integration platform:
    1- Draft Requirements
Q- What is the names and status of sending and receiving application and how they will be used
    2- Detailed Requirements
Q- Connectivity, Administrative and Business related questins
3- Administrative and project management information
Q- Which applications are involved, who is the original supplier? Who is technical contact at the supplier
    4- Business requirements
Q- Questions about the information flow which will support some business processes
    5- Connectivity to applications
Q- Questions about connectivity mechanism, file formats (flat file or XML or something else), data access methods and so on
What do you think about the general concept?

  • ICloud and ultra-portable presentations

This thread is meant to discuss questions involving making presentations in Apple's iWork 2009 and storing/accessing said presentation files via iCloud.
As you can see from the listings below, I have access to useful hardware and software. I am writing this to seek advice on how to leverage these tools to give business (and personal) presentations while I'm on-the-road and may (or may not) be carrying hardware with me. If I'm forced to travel light, I was wondering if simply taking a thumb drive and/or using my iCloud account may be enough.
I work for a small construction business that does projects in eight surrounding counties. I work as a "Producer", which means I'm both an office manager (writing up contracts and job estimates, arranging business with customers, contractors and suppliers over-the-phone) and a project manager (working with those same business contacts in-person on remote project sites). I am also applying for work outside of our business, and want to be able to use visual aids if/when necessary to illustrate what I do during an interview.
I recently started taking a Lynda.com course on "Setting Up Your Mobile Office to Work from Anywhere", and it got me to thinking about how I could use iCloud and Apple's iWork apps to create business presentations that could be played in a variety of portable scenarios. My goal is to be able to travel light and still be able to make presentations to individuals or groups.
MY CURRENT PERSONAL/BUSINESS HARDWARE & SOFTWARE
iMac 13,1 : late-2012 slimline model, 2.9 GHz Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB hard disk, USB SuperDrive
    MacOS X 10.8 Mountain Lion
    iLife 2011 (including iPhoto 9.2.3)
iWork 2009 (including Keynote 5.3, Pages 4.3, and Numbers 2.3)
    Microsoft Office 2011: Mac
Final Cut Studio 3, including Final Cut Pro 7
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 8
    iCloud account, free-tier service
    DSL high-speed connection to internet
Have been shooting digital photos since November, 2001; manages iPhoto library of over 52,000 images
    OTHER HARDWARE AVAILABLE
white MacBook 2006 vintage, 1.83 GHz Intel processor, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard disk, SuperDrive, MacOS 10.6.8, iLife 2011, iWork 2009, Microsoft Office 2011 (MacBook is not my machine; used by someone else in my office. This computer has battery issues; it must be plugged into AC power.)
Epson EX7200 projector, with USB thumb-drive port (for JPEG presentations), VGA port, and HDMI port.
Scenario #1: If I prepared a Keynote presentation on my iMac and transferred it via WiFi or thumb drive to the old MacBook, do I need to copy just a single Keynote file over and that's it? No attached files or folders with files in them?
Scenario #2: I have successfully, in the past, used the Epson projector and a thumb drive loaded with photos and also a USB camera card reader with an SD card attached to show simple JPEG photo slideshows. If I wanted to just use the Epson's USB port to show Keynote slideshows, they would have to be stored in folders as JPEG files. How easy is this to prepare with Keynote? Are there any pointers available on designing a useful workflow for preparing such slideshows without a lot of fuss?
Scenario #3: Forget the projector; too much bulk. If I had just a small iOS device like an iPod touch, and I wanted to plug into someone else's projector (or if I wanted to just show a slideshow of images to one person with no projector) what do I need to be prepared for, hardware-wise? What do I need to do with Keynote, both on the iMac for production and on the iOS device to make it look right?
Scenario #4: Let's say I'm going to carry everything on a USB thumb drive as a backup. What is the best way to set it up to play on someone else's hardware? (I assume three tiers of compatibility: I do network with Mac/iOS users, so Tier #1 would be Apple compatibility with Keynote. Tier #2 would be general compatibility with Microsoft Office 2003/4 for pre-XML file formats. I guess that Tier #3 would be general-purpose PDF files, or maybe the JPEG file approach with thumb drive ports on projectors.) If I'm doing Tier #1 and I'm plugging my thumb drive into someone else's MacBook, are there any pointers to avoid font conflicts or other issues? If I'm doing Tier #1 and I'm borrowing someone else's iPad to show a slideshow, how do I get the files off of a thumb drive to show on the iPad?
Scenario #5: ** iCloud ** Let's say I'm traveling VERY light, and I want to give a presentation that's stored on my Apple iCloud account. How can I organize files and folders so that Tier #1, #2 and #3 files are available (assuming I have an internet connection) so I can play a presentation off someone else's hardware, be it a tablet or laptop. Is there anything I should know about how to prepare this and how to reliably be able to log-in and access my iCloud files? Are my iWork 2009 apps going to function in preparing and saving presentation files with my iCloud account?
Scenario #6: Scenario #6 is Scenario #5, but substituting another service instead of iCloud, like maybe Google Drive. Is there any way to set up an account with files so I can reliably be able to access said files for a presentation?

Only iWork documents can be uploaded to iCloud, and then only if you have iWork for iOS on your iPhone (assuming you have one). iCloud does not back up any other type of file from your Mac. If you have uploaded iWork documents to iCloud, and provided they have been edited on an iOS device, you can download them as instructed here:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm9d23dae8
If you have a Time Machine backup you can restore from that.

  • Which program for basic business presentations?

Forgive me but I need to ask for advice on what program to use for video editing for basic business presentations. I think Premiere Pro is way beyond my needs, mainly in terms of learning curve (as well as the cost).
For what it's worth, I'm an avid Adobe user, and have been for years, for other programs: I currently use InDesign, Photoshop Elements, Dreamweaver, Audition, and Acrobat Standard (and also subscribe to the Acrobat Connect service). So, I don't feel too bad asking this forum to recommend "different" software for video editing. (Maybe Premiere Elements is best for me, but maybe not.)
I do not have any experience in video editing, and I do not have any time for a significant learning curve. I also don't need to do anything fancy.
I bought a MiniDV camcorder (Panasonic PV-GS300). I'm using a PC (3.6G, 1G RAM, half the 160G HD available, though I'll have to add a Firewire PCI card shortly) and Windows XP Pro. I'll get tripod lights and a good headworn mic. I use Nero Burning ROM 6 to burn DVDs (I've used its simple wizard to convert files and burn DVDs).
My purpose is to create about a dozen or so 6- to 12-minute clips consisting mainly just of me standing and giving a verbal speech and with some still images created from the computer (PDF, GIF, or whatever) stuck in between the video (I'll probably want some of the speech from the video taping, or else some speech I create in Audition, to play through the showing of the still images).
I'm not concerned with fancy video effects! I don't need it and I can't justify the learning curve (or cost) for it! Fades in and out are probably as advanced as I will get, though I really don't even need that.
I'll want to create the videos in file formats for Windows and for Mac, and to put them on our web site for streaming video as well as burn DVDs.
I'm sure I'll want to be able to adjust the image sizes and file sizes by choosing the tradeoff level with quality, though I hope there will be a set of standard defaults. I also really need good user forum support (I have no idea if Premiere Elements is enough for me but I sure have come to rely on the users on the Adobe forums).
I need to ask whether I should get Premiere Elements or... yes, I know it's blasphemy but I swear I'm a loyal member of the clan in all other ways... whether there is another video editing program that's light-weight enough to be pretty quick in getting through the learning curve for the basics I want, and that's relatively inexpensive. (I've been told on one forum... blasphemy again, I know... that I should look into Vegas 7, but the price and sophistication seem way beyond my needs based on an initial glance on the web -- but maybe I should just spring for it and go. It also seems Vegas 7 is more practical for my needs than Premiere Pro -- but I'm really hoping I'll be pointed at much lower-end programs.)
I really appreciate any advice I can get. I run a small business with big growth ahead (I have a tiger by the tail) and need to jump on this and to do it myself for now, and I just do not have a lot of time for learning.
    Thanks so much!
    Jay

    OK, fair questions.
In my opinion, the learning curve for the most commonly used 95% of the programs is exactly the same between Premiere Pro and Premiere Elements. It really is. Capture video, figure out what you want on the timeline, put it on the timeline, add transitions, add music, export to something a DVD program can use, all of that. It is darn near identical.
However... then you decide you want to do something interesting. You come online and we tell you that is it very simple. Just use Premiere Pro to do... oh, wait, you don't have Pro? Just Elements? Too bad.
OK. Then you say "How do they make those great motion titles?". We say "It's easy, just use one of the text animation presets in After Effects". What? No After Effects? Too bad.
So let's say you like using After Effects for titles and you decide you want to expand your knowledge. Simple. Get some projects from Dean Velez and modify them to suit you. Do you need to learn it all at one time? No. Just what you need when you need it.
This is one reason that if you buy the Production Premium, one of the choices for extra goodies is a one month subscription to Lynda.com to watch their tutorials.
Spend the time watching the tutorials. If something catches you eye, write down where you saw it so you can go back and really learn it.
Just because you own a hammer and a saw and other hand tools doesn't mean you need to learn to be a carpenter. It just means that when your wife asks you to do something, you will have the required tools so you can go on the web and learn how to do that task, without having to run to Home Depot - which may be closed at the time you need it.
I originally bought Premiere 6.0 and when I went to an Adobe demo at DVExpo in NYC back in 2002 I saw an After Effects demo. I called from the Adobe booth to order After Effects. Why? When I saw that the learning curve was only hard if you tried to tackle the whole thing, and I realized I could just use the part I needed, my whole opinion changed.
If you only used After Effects for text in motion and for Stills in motion (Ken Burns and much more), you would get your money out of it. And that stuff can be learned in 15 minutes. Add in the real need for you, the chroma key, and the time savings is HUGE. You really need to know less to use Keylight than you do to use Premiere Pro to attempt the same thing.
Having the full version of Photoshop is nothing more than you have now. Until you need more. Then you have it.
The ability to use all of the Adobe products together outweighs any Vegas or Avid (consumer) advantages.
Besides, we are much more helpful on this forum than those other guys! ;)
