Testing my ECC 6 interface using a JCO

I'm working with a ECC 6.0 that in development and I'm simply wanting to do a "hello world" type of test.
Does anybody know of a good standard RFC that I can call to simple get an acknowledgement that I'm connected? I'm simply wanting to "ping" the server and get a "pong" back.
Sounds basic but with a new ECC 6 install and there's nothing really in it right now.

Getting error while running the Interface using AGENT

here i have mentioned the steps which i followed for creating agent service.
i have two machine namely A and B both having the ODI
i am going to use the B machine as a centralized server. so i edited the odiparams.bat file in B machine in ODI locaiton and filled the repository information
from A machine i opened the Topology and created the Agent service there i mentioned the HOST name as "B" and port number 20300. and i configure the logical agent aswell
from B machine i started the Agent service like agentscheduler "-port=20300".
Agent service launched seccessfully.
From A machine i tested the Agent. that also shown the successful window message.
then i started running the interface using the agent i am getting the error which i have mention in the beginging.
Interface which i ran will do the text file to table loading, so i kept that file in particular location in B machine( i have configure this location when i created the file data store in topology in A machine).
Please help me to solve the problem...

I ran the agent as you said. here is my observation
from the Machine B where agent is actually running, i could able to run the interface using agent service.
but from the machine A while running the interface i am getting the following error message

SPROXY error testing outbound proxy interface

Hi,
I am trying to test an outbound proxy interface using SPROXY but am getting the following error:
Apart from the above messages there is no more help available. When I try testing the generated XSLT program using SXSLT_TEST it gives an error "No valid XSLT program supplied". I have checked and the auto generated XSLT program does exist.
Any help appreciated.

divide your scenario into Success and Failure Cases..
Success Case :
1. Message should get processed successfully in PI and in ECC (idoc).
Failure Case :
1. Check the adapter fails an alert is triggered.
2. Check for the Mapping Failure and alert is triggered.
3. Finally idoc failure errors in both PI and ECC..

Right now, we can only define cutom interfaces using the Generic Loader. I was wondering if this functionality is going to be extended so that users can define custom interfaces using EOs instead of lct files.

I have opened an SR and they have forwarded to the Receivables Team, which i do not believe will help us, since our need is to know technically the iSetup Custom Interface process for BC4J. How to use a JCO connection pool in an EJB?

I want to build a WebService using SAP Web AS (J2EE Engine) that connects to a R/3 ERP (release 4.7).
I thought of building a stateless session bean that will be deployed as webservice. The session bean shall connect to the R/3 in order to call some BAPIs. I'd like to use a JCO connection pool. But I'm not sure, where I should create and destroy the connection pool. Are the EJB methods ejbCreate() and ejbRemove() the right ones? If so, my businness methods would just have to get a connection from the pool and call the BAPIs, right? If not, what do you suggest?
Another question: I already deployed a bean as webservice. Since not really knowing how to use the connection pool, I created a bean with one business method that creates a connection pool whenever it gets called. But if I have to change something in the bean so that I have to redeploy the bean I can't call my business method anymore, because JCO cannot load a native library once again, as it is already loaded, This leads to an exception. So I have to restart the complete engine everytime I redeploy my bean. Are there any workarounds for this problem? I'm not sure whether this is connected to the wrong use of the JCO connection pool.

Here is an idea for your request.
Basically you can create a simple query on multiprovider 0TCT_MC01.
Filter: you can use a variable for restriction of time ( calday, or calmonth) since you should be interested for a time period.
Choose following characters into your objects:
InfoProvider ( 0TCTIFPROV ) - you can create a variable for choosing infoprovider before query runs.
*Tp.[Type of BI Application Object] 0TCTBISOTYP = filter this with 'QUERY' or whatever your need is.
*BI Application Object 0TCTBISBOBJ, ( this will give you the name of the queries)
In key figures choose, Count for BI Appl. (0TCTWTCOUNT).
(number for query run)
Create a condition , for top 20.

In the DTP select the file location as application server and give the logical file path. The actual file and logical path can be created using transaction "FILE" and "AL11".

Attachments to an a/p invoice using a jco

Hello,
I am trying to add an attachment to an existing invoice using a jco, but couldn't find any useful info so far:
First I am trying to retrieve the document and then attach the files, but i receive a null object in the doc value.
doc = SBOCOMUtil.getDocuments(company,SBOCOMConstants.BoObjectTypes_Document_oPurchaseInvoices,inv_num);
Is there anything wrong in retrieving the document?
A sample code in dot net would be helpful too.

Have you tried to visualize the Draft you have created with B1 application and save it as document by directly using B1? Do you have the same error?
If you create the Draft with B1 and try to add it after that as document the DeliveryDate and TaxCode are missing, do you fill this information when adding your document?
I think you should open a message for support in SMP, they will try to reproduce your problem.

Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page

I'm using
- JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
- SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0
- Weblogic Server 10.3.3
- Windows XP SP3 (german version)
Now I'm having a BPEL-Process (SOA) Project created in JDeveloper and deployment to the server works fine, i.e. the service can be seen in enterprise manager.
But if I want to test the service using the webservice tester it get the following error if I copy the URL for getting the WSDL file to another browser tab:
Cannot Test this Web Service using the Test Page
Endpoint Name : FabricProvider (Service Description)
You can test the Web Service using a Java client.
Failed to Load a composite for composite identified by default/ReisebuchungService!1.0*soa_6aebb5fb-7830-497b-b853-839518d112f0
Please verify that the composite has been deployed.
Can you help me with this issue? I have no idea where to start debugging or resolving the problem.

I would start by ftping / putting the file in in/file/ folder, once ftp has completed move it to complete/ folder and process the file. If errorrs are generated move the file over to bad folder. If completed successfully move over to done folder.
Having said that you would use UTL_FILE_DIR init parameter to set your directory.
ALTER SYSTEM SET UTL_FILE_DIR='directory1','directory2' scope=spfile;
Then you would use the regular utl_file packages to read / write to the files.
UTL_FILE.FOPEN and so on.

I do not know if I got your question correct.
Here is my understanding of it, pls correct me if I am wrong:
You want to read from and write to the OS from inside the DB? Right?
There are differnt waysa to do so, depanding on your Oracle version:
1. you can use the initialization parameter UTL_FILE_DIR to specify a directory on OS where you can read from and write to through the package UTL_FILE.
2. You can use a directory object in the DB to manage read write access to the OS. This is also usable with the package UTL_FILE as location where to read from and write to.
=> CREATE DIRECTORY my_dir AS '/home/oracle/my_directory';
GRANT read , write ON DIRECTORY my_dir TO scott;
SELECT * FROM dba_directories;
You need CREATE ANY DIRECTORY system privilege for this.
You can use directory objects also for external tables.
With these you can read from flat files in teh directory on OS with a select statement as if it were a table inside the DB.
Does this go into the direction you were thinking of?
