Testing - SAP HR

Hi Experts,
How to do testing in SAP HR and to write test script and test plan. using which tool we can do this.If anyone can brief me about this whole concept will be highly appreciable.
Thanks in advance,
Riya

Check the following:
u2022     Whether an organizational assignment though PPOME transaction is reflected in PA30 (OM-PA integration)
u2022     Whether position, cost center information comes correctly to payroll driver (PA-PY integration)
u2022     Whether additional payments/deductions (infotypes 14/15) is correctly reflected in payroll calculations (PA-PY integration)
u2022     Whether work schedule (infotype 7) is correctly reflected in calculation of absence hours (infotype 2001) (PA-TM integration).
u2022     Whether manager of an employee is correct (OM-MSS integration
u2022     Try recording an absence through ESS and check its impact on TM & PA (infotype 2001).
u2022     Try recording an absence for a personnel at times that is outside of the work pattern (e.g. if working hours is 8-18, record an absence to 19-20 and see its impact)
u2022     Check whether performance appraisal of an employee is transmitted to his/her supervisor .
u2022     Check whether the payroll hours/days are in line with employee's working pattern.
u2022     Check whether the WPBP table in payroll driver is in line with employees infotypes 0/1.

There are various levels of Testing available.
1/ Unit Testing - To check the config is correct and validate all infotypes, subtypes, drop down and others
2/ String Testing - This would be based on scenario testing; however doesn't require employee life cycle events maintained. This also tests all the subtypes, infotypes, transactions are validated as per the business requirements and workflow
3/ Product Integration Testing - This involves high level testing includes Employee Life Cycle events met as per the business conditions/scenario.
4/ Regression Testing - Regression testing can be used not only for testing the correctness of a program, but it is also often used to track the quality of its output. It occur whenever application (both interface or third party or SAP) functionality that was previously working correctly stops working as intended (identifying application or functionality bug for changes met)
5/ Integration Testing - Involves end-to-end cycle of both SAP and Non-SAP products are integrated as per the business conditions/scenario.
To execute the same in a proper functionality; one need to know least of Mercury QC for testing requirement.
It measure Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Test Sets and Defects managed for various testing cycle.
Please feel free to revert back to me immediately for any further clarifications.
Thanks in advance.

  • Testing SAP HCM application using SAP TAO

I have the following questions regarding SAP HCM testing.
    1)  Do we use any third-party i.e, HP's Quality Center, QTP tools to test SAP HCM applicationa?
    2) Do any one  tested SAP HCM using SAP TAO tool?
I am new to SAP HCM testing, appreciate if someone can send some documents related to testing using SAP TAO and other third-party tools.

    Basuvarma:
I understand that we use Quality Center to maintain the test cases. I want to know if you can provid me any documents related to SAP HCM testing using QC or Rations tools....
    Appreciate your response.

  • INFORMATION ON TOOLS USED TO TEST SAP B1 PROJECTS

CAN ANYONE SEND METHE MATERIAL OF TOOLS USED TO TEST SAP B1 PROJECTS.

Look at the link for the different tools available for download.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessone-tools
There is not really any specific mandate to test B1 projects.  Tests are generally done at the Module level / Process level and then one complete end to end test is done.

  • Testing SAp biw reports

what is the procedure for testing SAP biw reports?
I am a beginner in sap biw.

    Hi Obily,
If you want to Test a Query then you can do it by selct the Query in
TCODE: RSRT --> and click Execute+Debug
Checking BW reports is internally related with Data and the Output format...
For checking Data from R/3 and BW we have to follow Reconcilation procedures

  • A Guide for Testing SAP NW MI & its Mobile Solutions (MAM, MAU, MTT, ...)

    Hi Guys,
As per my experience, there is no enough Methodology & Tools to test the SAP Mobile solutions landscape. There are scattered documents from SAP, which are neither enough nor sufficient to carry out the different required tests from Unit test till the stress & volume tests before the Go-Live in a reliable way!
I would appreciate it very much if we combine all our experiences to compile a guide about this topic, which we can all share and even continue updating it as SAP guys further develop their Mobile Technology.
I would suggest that this SAP Mobility Solutions Test Guide should contain the main sections:
    - Testing NW MI MW server.
    - Testing the ECC as a MI backend system
    - Critical business processes of the mobile scenario (MAM for example)
    - Testing the Mobile Applications on clients devices (MAM, MAU, MTT, …)
    - Performance tuning tips for all the involved software components
    - Performance tuning tips for the all involved servers.
The guide should contain methodologies, tools, reference to SAP documents, sample actual testing results, ...
I would volunteer to compile your feedback into final master document and publish the final guide in SDN for all of us.
If somebody compiled such guide, it would be great if you publish it in the SDN.
Your feedback about this idea and contents for this guide is much appreciated & sure will help all of us to deliver better quality.
    Thanks
    Ahmed El Adl

    Hi Ahmed,
Its a nice thread to start with. We shall do the same.
We are testing MI for past 1.6 yrs.
<<<<- Testing NW MI MW server.
    - Testing the ECC as a MI backend system
    - Critical business processes of the mobile scenario (MAM for example)
    - Testing the Mobile Applications on clients devices (MAM, MAU, MTT, …)
    - Performance tuning tips for all the involved software components
    - Performance tuning tips for the all involved servers.>>>>
Testing NW MI MW server----The entire backend side developed application can be automated(covering many features)
We have been executing few standard test cases and enhancing them.
So can you explain more clearly about what sort of methodologies you are talking about.
We generally analyze customer raised messeges and try to pump in more test cases to cover the features.
May be this is the starting to get more enchaments methodologies to improve MI.
FYI..In Newyork release MI architecture is going to be changed a bit...so can expect better performance(Webdynpro from client side)
    Cheers,
    Karthick

  • Error whicle Testing SAP Adapter service

I have created Mediator process which has configuration for 3rd Party Adapter for SAP. I deployed the process and when I am testing it, I am getting following error.
java.lang.Exception: oracle.sysman.emSDK.webservices.wsdlapi.SoapTestException: Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'TEST_ITEM' failed due to: JCA Binding Component connection issue. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. at oracle.sysman.emas.model.wsmgt.WSTestModel.invokeOperation(WSTestModel.java:575) ... 72 more
Could some one please help - what could be the possible cause?
I have went through the some the post here in this form, and they say ( This resolution was given for a similar error for Channel, I am getting error for Target )-
" In your configuration folder IWAY_HOME/config/YourConfigName/ are there multiple files like repository.xml1, repository.xml2 etc in addition to repository? Similarly are you seeing multiple ste_repository files?
In that case, you might have done some CRUD operation when the iwafjca.rar is deployed and running. When ever you are doing CRUD operations in iwae, please make sure the iwafjca.rar is not deployed or in active mode especially when you are using file repository."
My question is what do you mean by CRUD operation here? I just deployed the process and did not do anything else.
Also, I need some clarification related to SAP adapter configuration for Inbound and Outbound process.
My process is outbound (I am using SOA 11.1.1.3) and through application explorer I have created only Connection and Target.
Under the target, in remote function modle, I selected the BAPI and exported wsdl and xsds using J2CA
For Outbound transactions, do I need to create channel?
Could some one please help list the steps of configurations needed for Outbound and Inbound transactions for SAP adapter in Application explorer
    Thanks a lot
    Namit

    Thanks Manoj for your help,
We have redeployed the J2CA and bounced the server.
    Mediator process is also redeployed.
Now I am getting following error -
    Webservice invocation failed
The selected operation execute could not be invoked.
An exception occured while invoking the webservice operation. Please see logs for more details.
oracle.sysman.emSDK.webservices.wsdlapi.SoapTestException: Exception occured when binding was invoked.
Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'TEST_ITEM' failed due to: Error in processing the input document.".
The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
    Any clue on this?
    Thanks,

  • How to download jco, for using in a test sap system?

    Hello,
at the moment i am trying to program with java a connection to a sap test system (from the book abap objects).
Normally the conenction is built up by jco. My question is, because i haven´t got a login to the service marketplace,
is there any possibility to download and use jco for my test connection? I only try it for education.
    Thank you very much
    Bye

    Hi GLM,
i just used the example from the jco package,
which i downloaded from sap service marketplace.
(I have changed the sap poperties).
With the jco 2 it works perfect. Only with new one

    Hi,
Try publish all services on R/3, using SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL transaction.

  • Dev to testing SAP SWCV

Hello i have this following scenario :
Its an SAP SWCV , Every thing already imported in Testing box as well when installed , the only thing extra i will be making is importing IDocs. Now we have the same scenario in dev as well , now even after configuration : when IDocs generated i see messages only in dev box ? what might be the reason ?
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna,
Check the Business System in the Test environment. Is it pointing to proper system? Also check the Adapter Specific Properties in the Business systems.(Open the Business system->Menu->Services->Adapter Specific Properties).
Also make sure that all configuration is done correctly by checking business systems,Adapter configuration in the Directory.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Moorthy

did anyone tried to use SOAPUI with SAP PI 7.0 WSDL's ?
    Any help will be welocme.
    Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I have installed SOAPUI on my desktop.
I have checked telnet with the server - ports 8000 and 50000 - it works fine.
I have also tried to change the WSDL so that instead of the server name I wrote the server IP and created a new SOAPUI project, and still the same error occured.
If the problem is indeed a network problem, why can't I find any thing in the HTTP log of SOAPUI?
I also used "netstat 1 -na" to check if the application tries to open a session, but nothing appeared.
Is there any thing else I can check?
    Thanks again.

  • How to test SAP predefined system bar codes

hi as above mentioned, can I test this? there are serveral system bar codes, but I don't know which one to choose, how to do?
    thanks
    b.r
    elly

    Hi Elly,
You can get all lists of Barcodes in SE73.
But choosing correct barcode is depends on company and their business. All Barcodes are not at all used for all business. Ask you functional consultant (or Business person) to take what type of barcodes to print.
    regards,
    ram

  • Stress Testing SAP Web Dispatcher

Is it possible? If so how?
In particular I would like to see what difference using SSL (end to end and termination) and non-SSL makes to the performance and resources of the system.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I don't know about the loading part maybe you could try running some data upload scripts ... one think i know for sure is that NON-SSL is faster.
For monitoring the the SAP Web dispatcher...
