Teststand 3.5 Error -17306 on step NI_Flow_End and crash after some of them
Hello everybody,
i've got a problem with Teststand 3.5 running long time tests. The test is using the BatchModel and model callbacks.
I added the callback "ProcessModelPostStepRuntimeError" to log errors and a added sequence called "TesterHealth" to check the peripheric equipment in case of RunTimeErrors.
Since the "ProcessModelPostStepRuntimeError" is in, i get runtime error like this:
End caused RunTimeError. Error Code: -17306 Msg: Unknown variable or property name ''
but only from sequences in the model.
The whole thing keeps on running until 6 entries have occured, then Teststand crashs either with "R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call" or
a -17502 Exception of a "Goto" step in the model.
This doesn't happen, if i remove the "ProcessModelPostStepRuntimeError" and place a "SequenceFilePostStepRuntimeError" in each file instead.
Has anyone an idea, what's wrong?
Best regards,
Thomas
Do you have a flow control end step for a foreach loop at the end of a sequence. There is a known issue related to that. The workaround is adding a label step to the end of the sequence so that the flow control end step is not the last step. I'm not sure if this is the issue you are seeing. There are potentially other reasons why you could get these errors. Let us know if you had such a foreach loop and if adding a label step to the end of the sequence fixes the problem.
See this forum post for more information:

Hope this helps,

General error in FCP re: rendering and export after Quicktime 7.5.5 update
Hi
My FCP 6.0.4 rendering and export to Compressor no longer works after an update to Quicktime 7.5.5.
Rendering fails after a few seconds "General Error!" pops up. Exporting to Compressor, after setting it compressing, Compressor after a few seconds fails. (audio is processed) My current work around is exporting a sequence using Quicktime conversion (time consuming) and then opening in Compressor.
I've done the usual, deleting prefs, new sequences and projects, even saving movs in different codecs.
(been using H.264)
My sequences are all custom sizes but tests using presets also fail.
Any ideas anyone?
And I was so happy the Quicktime upgrade could play sequence movs recorded months earlier that until now I couldn't play properly due to previous Quicktime upgrades!
Apple gives with one hand and takes with the other....Hi There,
Thanks for your reply on this.
Well basically since I'm using content already in the H.254 codec (eg: a trailer off the internet, or the downsizing of HD footage) i'm just exporting to a codec that didn't have to be rendered and gave quality results. I used motion jpeg B as an export codec because it was quick (although HD space hungry) with no drop in quality. The resulting exports could be imported into a custom sequence (720 x 405) as square pixel aspect ratio files. Overlapping the canvas with other windows (eg: viewer) meant I could play a clip (with dropped frames) but not have to render it. I selected the H.264 codec as the sequence codec because I've found other codecs introduce darkening or lightening or blurring or other undesirable artefacts when exported to Compressor. H.264 used in the sequence settings exported through Compressor would give resulting m2v's as sharp and contrast accurate as the source file.
That was until the recent 7.5.5 Quicktime update where attempts to do the same things I did before result in "General Error!" coming up after a few seconds of play or rendering.
Traditional DV codecs are "blurry" in my opinion, especially when coping with web content or conversion of HD downloads.
If you can suggest an editing codec that works best with FCP that is quick, doesn't introduce blurring or general degrading of the image I'd be happy to try it out. I typically downsize HD content from the web for DVD playback, so it's usually in a H.264 codec already. So i would need a codec for export from Quicktime that would work best with a codec in FCP. That doesn't alter picture quality when compressed to m2v in Compressor.

PS6 - Program Errors under Win98 or WinME (and crashes with Magnetic Lasso)
Under Windows98 and WinME, many users are getting into a state where most commands report a program error and fail to function. This same problem can cause crashes in the magnetic lasso and magnetic pen tools.
Q: How do I stop the program errors?
A1: After they start, show the about box for any plug-in, then continue working.
A2: Select the Adobe PostScript printer driver as you default printer.
Details: many printer drivers on Win98 and WinME leave the CPU in a bad floating point state, and that bad state remains when Photoshop tries to use floating point code. Photoshop receives a floating point error from the CPU that it doesn't know how to deal with, so it reports a generic "program error". Showing the about box of a plug-in will reset the CPU to the correct floating point state. After that, everything should work -- until the next time you access anything about that printer....
Using the Adobe PostScript printer driver avoids the floating point state problem entirely. -
I have a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.4 (Maverick) and am trying to add Rosetta Stone Latin Am Spanish to this laptop, after having successfully installed it several years ago on a older MBP.
I was given the latest download file TOTALe 4.5.5 by Rosetta Stone Support for this purpose. It will install fine and work, immediately upon installation, but when I shut down and restart, I can no longer launch the program and get the Fatal Application Error 1141 code instead.
I have been through this issue many, many times with Rosetta Stone Support already and have followed, alone and with them, the troubleshooting link set up for this problem without success. (Here is the link: https://rosettastone.secure.force.com/en/language-learning/articles/Error-1141-a ppears-when-I-start-the-Rosetta-Stone-TOTALe-application#macdiv) Rosetta Stone has run out of ideas to resolve this issue. (I have saved about 10 chat session transcripts where the support people have me run through the same steps over and over, despite my informing them of the previous lack of success in following these steps.)
My OS X is up to date. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem running Maverick.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. This is a relatively new MBP and the only add-on software other than Rosetta Stone is Microsoft Office.I have the same problem. Back in 2011 I bought Rosetta and got the very same problem, talked and talked to their support to no avail. On that instance they returned my purchase money. This time around I asked beforehand if the software was totally compatible with Yosemite and they said yes. I just got it, tried to unit and got error 1141 again. It is very frustrating! I will talk to them again but my hopes are very low. I guess one needs to understand that the software is crap!

FRM-40655: SQL error forced rollback: clear form and re-enter transaction.
Hello ,
I have ORACLE 10G & Forms 6i on Windows server 2008 . When I open the forms for some work , it give me error in few minis.
FRM-40655: SQL error forced rollback: clear form and re-enter transaction.
I have not done anything unusual in form design. it was working properly from a long time.
Yesterday i set the default profile to idle_time = 20. Will that make any problem ???
I checked my Alert Log but no sign of any deadlock in it, or any other unusual activity ....
What is the solution ???
Thanks in advance ..This happens due to dead lock situation
To avoid this problem, add NOWAIT option to the UPDATE and DELETE statements, which returns ORA-00054 error, trap this error and display user defined message like 'The record is being accessed and try after some time'.
This even improves the performance
because no process waits for the locks preventing dead locks.
If it is due to the UPDATE's or DELETE's with base table blocks in the form, in the PRE-UPDATE and PRE-DELETE triggers write SELECT statements to select the particular row with FOR UPDATE NO WAIT option. Handle by trapping the ORA-00054 error -
I am retrieving high and low limits from step results in VB code that looks something like this:
' (This occurs while processing a UIMsg_Trace event)
Set step = context.Sequence.GetStep(previousStepIndex, context.StepGroup)
'(etc.)
' Get step limits for results
Set oStepProperty = step.AsPropertyObject
If oStepProperty.Exists("limits", 0&) Then
dblLimitHigh = step.limits.high
dblLimitLow = step.limits.low
'(etc.)
So far, so good. I can see these results in
VB debug mode.
Immediately after this is where I try to put the limits into the results list:
'Add Limits to results
call mCurrentExecution.AddExtraResult("Step.Limits.High", "UpperLimit")
call mCurrentExecution.AddExtraResult("Step.Limits.Low", "LowerLimit")
(No apparent errors here while executing)
But in another section of code when I try to extract the limits, I get some of the results, but I do not get any limits results.
That section of code occurs while processing a UIMsg_EndExecution event and looks something like this:
(misc declarations)
'Get the size of the ResultList array
Call oResultList.GetDimensions("", 0, sDummy, sDummy, iElements, eType)
'Step through the ResultList array
For iItem = 0 To iElements - 1
Dim oResult As PropertyObject
Set oResult = oResultList.GetPropertyObject("[" & CStr(iItem) & "]", 0)
sMsg = "StepName = " & oResult.GetValString("TS.StepName", 0) & _
", Status = " & oResult.GetValString("Status", 0)
If oResult.Exists("limits", 0&) Then
Debug.Print "HighLimit: " & CStr(oResult.GetValNumber("Step.Limits.High", 0))
Debug.Print "LowLimit: " & CStr(oResult.GetValNumber("Step.Limits.Low", 0))
End If
'(handle the results)
Next iItem
I can get the step name, I can get the status, but I can't get the limits. The "if" statement above which checks for "limits" never becomes true, because, apparently the limit results never made it to the results array.
So, my question again is how can I pass the low and high limit results to the results list, and how can I retrieve the same from the results list?
Thanks,
GriffGriff,
Hmmmm...
I use this feature all the time and it works for me. The only real
difference between the code you posted and what I do is that I don't
retrieve a property object for each TestStand object, instead I pass the
entire sequence context (of the process model) then retrieve a property
object for the entire sequence context and use the full TestStand object
path to reference sub-properties. For example, to access a step's
ResultList property called "foo" I would use the path:
"Locals.ResultList[0].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList[].Foo"
My guess is the problem has something to do with the object from which
you're retrieving the property object and/or the path used to obtain
sub-properties from the object. You should be able to break-point in the
TestStand sequence editor immediately after the test step in question
executes, then see the extra results in the step's ResultList using the
context viewer.
For example, see the attached sequence file. The first step adds the extra
result "Step.Limits" as "Limits", the second step is a Numeric Limit (which
will have the step property of "Limits") test and the third step pops up a
dialog if the Limits property is found in the Numeric Limit test's
ResultList. In the Sequence Editor, try executing with the first step
enalbled then again with the first step skipped and breakpoint on the third
step. Use the context viewer to observe where the Limits property is added.
That might help you narrow in on how to specify the property path to
retrieve the value.
If in your code, you see the extra results in the context viewer, then the
problem lies in how you're trying to retrieve the property. If the extra
results aren't there, then something is wrong in how you're specifying them,
most likely a problem with the AddExtraResult call itself.
One other thing to check... its hard to tell from the code you posted... but
make sure you're calling AddExtraResult on the correct execution object and
that you're calling AddExtraResult ~before~ executing the step you want the
result to show up for. Another programmer here made the mistake of assuming
he could call AddExtraResult ~after~ the step executed and TestStand would
"back fill" previously executed steps. Thats not the case. Also, another
mistake he made was expecting the extra results to appear for steps that did
not contain the original step properties. For example, a string comparison
step doesn't have a "Step.Limits.High" property, so if this property is
called out explicitly in AddExtraResult, then the extra result won't appear
in the string comparison's ResultList entry. Thats why you should simply
specify "Step.Limits" to AddExtraResul so the Limits container (whose
contents vary depending on the step type) will get copied to the ResultList
regardless of the step type.
I call AddExtraResult at the beginning of my process model, not in a UI
message handler, so there may be some gotcha from calling it that way. If
all else fails, try adding the AddExtraResult near the beginning of your
process model and see if the extra results appear in each step's ResultList.
Good luck,
Bob Rafuse

I have a set of vi's that work when run under labview. However, when calling these vi's from labview's test executive I recieve runtime error: Call to step "PRE-RUN" failed. in Assign Connector Pane.vi->Call Test.vi->Execute Pre-Run.vi->Test Executive. Could someone explain this error to me? (or ideally tell me how to fix it?) Thanks.
Hello,
There are any number of possible causes to this problem. Which version of Test Executive are you using? Have you upgraded your Test Executive recently? The latest version is 5.1.1. If you have changed anything about Test Executive on your computer recently, I recommend you perform a mass compile of all your VI libraries, as having different versions of the VIs on your system could often result in the "Call to Step XYZ Failed" errors. Also, are you using any DAQ or Analysis VIs in your steps? We have seen problems where the use of DAQ or Analysis VIs in the sequence can cause intermittent "Call to Step...Failed" errors. There are some KnowledgeBase entries on our website that discuss this problem. Are you using the Test Executive in the VI environment, or
as an executable? Again, there are some problems with using Test Executive as an executable that result in these errors, and there are also KnowledgeBase entries that discuss these problems.
If you have a pared-down application that demonstrates the problem, feel free to send me your VIs and your .seq file and I will try to reproduce the problem.
Alternatively, I would suggest you visit www.ni.com/teststand to learn about TestStand, our state-of-the-art Test Sequencing software that completely outperforms Test Executive. It is very easy to use and much more powerful, and we have a top-notch support team available dedicated exclusively to supporting TestStand. As you are probably aware, we are no longer developing Test Executive, and instead are concentrating our efforts on making TestStand the penultimate solution for all our customers' test sequencing needs.
I appreciate your patience on this issue. Please let me know if I can offer further assistance.
Have a pleasant weeken

When I run GenericImportExport.seq, the call to DB_PLImpotExportProperties brings up the Import/Export dialog. When I copy that step into my existing sequence, the error "Unknown variable or property name. (Error = -17306)" is thrown. I can see no difference between the two. They also appear to be running in the same environment.
Any suggestions?
Solved!
Go to Solution.So this was bothering me enough that I went back and recreated the problem. I cannot even call the entire sequence without getting this error.
I added a step to my test sequence that makes a call to the sequence GenericImportExport.seq in a separate file (where it was installed). Right-clicking on the the step and selecting "Run Selected Steps" causes the subject error.
I CAN use the tool menu "Import/Export properties..." or open the sequence itself and run ImportExport without a problem. -
Setting step error during Post-Step substep execution
There is custom step type, which defines Post-Step substep:
void __declspec(dllexport) __stdcall PostStep(struct IDispatch* pSeqContextDisp)
AFX_MANAGE_STATE(AfxGetStaticModuleState());
PropertyObjectPtr spThisContext=pSeqContextDisp;
try
return PostStepEx(spThisContext);
catch(_com_error& xComErr)
void PostStepEx(PropertyObjectPtr& spThisContext)
SequenceContextPtr spSeqContext=spThisContext;
StepPtr spStep=spSeqContext->GetStep();
PropertyObjectPtr spResultStep=spStep->AsPropertyObject();
bool fSomeCondition=false;
// Evaluate fSomeCondition
if(fSomeCondition)
spResultStep->SetValBoolean("Result.Error.Occurred", 0, VARIANT_TRUE);
spResultStep->SetValString ("Result.Error.Msg", 0, "Some error message");
spResultStep->SetValNumber ("Result.Error.Code", 0, -1);
return;
// Continue ...
When step of this custom step type is beeing executed and fSomeCondition evaluated to true, the error is displayed:
Details:
"Error executing substep 'Post'.
Some error message"
How to instruct TestStand to not to add prefix "Error executing substep 'Post'." ?
thanks.mishaHello Misha,
If you do not want the "Error executing substep 'Post'." string added to the beginning of your error message, you could use the following method.
You can set only the Error message (Error.Msg) and Error code (Error.Code) and not the Error Occurred Flag (Error.Occurred) in the post step code module. In the post-expression of that step, you can then detect whether the error code is non-zero and set the Error.Occurred flag to True if necessary. See the screen shot below.
Let me know if you have any questions implementing this solution.

By default, Teststand will not include the test step result in subsequence, is there any way to include these step results in report?
Thanks
JackyHi,
If your subsequence is in a separate sequencefile, then check the properties of the sequencefile to make sure that the record has not been disabled.

Thanks in advance for your help.I ran into a similar problem about a year ago. Very random, but kept happening at least once a week. Finally figured out that the static IP address for our server was left in the dynamic IP address pool. So every so often, the address was dynamically assigned to a second machine. Which caused a similar type of problem that you are seeing. I don't know if this is your problem. But it sounds familiar.
Hope it helps.

BPM Collect Pattern: N:1 Mapping error in trnsformation step
Dear All,
I am using collect pattern Payload Dependant.
I have one source data type and one target data type. Mapping is one to one.
Data type contains 3 fields, Value Name and Surname.
In Loop I have used condition when Counter is equal to value stop the loop.
I have used Transformation step as I am using N:1 mapping.
I have used abastrct to abastract message mapping.
Source message is 0 to unbounded.
In interface mapping target message occourance is 1. But in mapping program target message occourance is 0 to unbounded.
When I am running my scenario, Third party to IP is working fine. But in IP i am getting error in transformation step.
"com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element /ns0:Messages/ns0:Message1/ns1:Collect_Receiver_MT. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.AMappingProgram.start"
Can anybody will help me to solve this problem?

RABAX_STATE error in SOLMAN_SETUP step 6.6
Hi all,
I'm doing the Solman_setup, step "System Preparation" for a new Solution Manager 7.1 sp 14.
As I try to get into the task 6.6 "Connect Diagnostics" the system generates a short dump :
Category ABAP Programming Error
Runtime Errors MESSAGE_TYPE_UNKNOWN
ABAP Program CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CP
Application Component BC-WD-ABA-RUN
Date and Time 20.06.2014 11:26:31
Short text
Message type "e" is unknown.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program

The current ABAP program "CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
Only message types A, E, I, W, S, and X are allowed.
There is probably an error in the program
| "CL_WDR_MESSAGE_MANAGER========CP".
All the previous tasks were performed successfully.
It seems to be a program error, but I can't find any Oss Note for it.
Any advise ?

Resyncronize the Solution Manager system with the SLD in the LMDB.
Execute the steps below for the Solution Manager ABAP and JAVA:
Go to the Managed System Configuration
Select the Solution Manager system
Select System Operations -> Maintain System
A new screen will open, select the option Advanced -> Resynchronize the System from SLD, as seen in the example below

Just wanted to share an episode I had with my mini. Turns out that if you accidentally jar it right, you can dislodge the small ribbon cable going to the combination wifi/bluetooth card. It's a simple fix for a tech and can lead to long calls to tech
