Teststand calls all threads fine, Labview OI does not..

Hello all,
Thanks to the many help provided on this forum, I was able to create a Labview OI and a Teststand seq. file for my application. However, there is something weird happening that has baffled us all.
The TS seq. file has 5 parallel threads running in a sequential process model for approximately 1 minute. After a minute, all of them stop simulatenously. Now among the 5 threads is a DAQmx-Simulink simulation modeling that simulates the motor dynamics of an automobile. This particular thread executes fine in the TS environment, and cleanly shuts down after execution.
Now, when I load the entire sequence file onto my LV 7.1 OI, the DAQmx-Simulink model fails to execute and gets stuck at AO Read, thereby stalling the completion of the entire process. This same seq. file again works just fine in the TS environment. It used to work earlier during the day, and after some modifications in the TS .seq files, we tried it again..and it would not work at all. I didn't make any changes in the OI code.
Can someone please suggest, why this could happen? I've reached a dead end and can't think of any reason

Hello Anshul,
I would recommend trying to narrow down the problem to a more simple situation. If possible, I would see if you can run your sequence through the OI that ships with TestStand. If that works correctly, then the issue is likely being caused by programming in the custom OI. If that still does not work, I would modify the client application to only have the one thread that is not behaving correctly. Incrementally try to make the code as simple as possible, removing as much extra programming as you can.

If you are able to narrow it down enough so that it can be replicated on another machine, that would be optimal (but may be impossible if the error is linked to hardware or 3rd party software that our Applications department does not have access to). A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

All-in-one 6830 printer Does not enter sleep mode when connected to a phone line

HP staff help. HP all-in-one printer 6830 does not enter sleep mode when conntected to a phone line via 1-Line jack. The Firmware is PNP1CN1521AR. On August 1, 2015, I purchased an HP all-in-one 6830 printer and upgraded to firmware PNP1CN1521AR.When a phone line is connected to 1-Line jack of 6830, the printer will no longer enter sleep mode and the display remains on indefinitly.Removing the phone connection either from the wall outlet or from the printer causes the sleep mode to work correctly again where the control panel display turns off after 5 minutes (or optionally after 10 or 15 minutes).This problem was previously reported by a user and has not been resolved, see:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questions/Sleep-mode-of-Officejet-Pro-6830/td-p/4772182 The user did not receive a resolution to this problem according to the thread.
There seems to be a 6830 printer firmware or hardware problem causing this. HP should be able to confirm this problem on 6830 easily.

It's a regular analog phone line. I've tested it with other phone lines. No difference. I have another all-in-one printer which works fine (goes to sleep mode) when plugged into the same phone line.
The 6830 works ok in other aspects. The only problem is the sleep mode. Any 6830 with the firmware I mentioned should replicate the same result, regardless of anything else. The previous firmware to PNP1CN1521AR also created this problem according to the original report of this problem by another user.
I'm sure there's a bug in the firmware. A subroutine in the firmware monitoring the incoming fax ringing, mistakenly, sees the voltage across the phone jack pins as an event and wakes up the printer instantly even though there's no ringing. As the previous user also suspected, there seems to be an error in the phone line voltage threshold used by the firmware. The present firmware always sees a ringing at the phone line which causes it to never stay in sleep mode.

When you start Messages fro the first time you are asked for an Apple ID
When this is verified and entered it appears in Messages Menu > Preference > Accounts and is Enabled.
The App should have also picked on on those iChat Accounst you had before.
These should be Enabled if they were when you last used iChat.
Exactly which "Accounts" are logged in can be seen in Message Menu > Accounts and will include the iMessage "Account" and Bonjour.
In the Window menu you will see CMD +0 for the Messages window and CMD+1 for the "Buddies" window which is a combined list at this stage.
Go to the Preferences > General Section and Untick the "Collect all accounts into one list".
This will give you separate iChat type Buddy lists.
You can check if that account/Buddy list is set to Invisible or if in the Preferences > Accounts > Security you have settings that will block some people from seeing you as On line.
You are saying Buddies can see you as On Line which implies they are still sending to your AIM based Names (@Mac.com is a valid AIM Screen Name)
I am not sure from your post if you are trying to iMessage their email IDs thinking they are Apple IDs and that they are using Messages as well.
There is no Buddy list for iMessages side
No-one can tell you are "On Line" until they have your details in the "To" spot in Messages with the correct iMessaged contact info (iPhone Number or Apple ID)
Obviously an Apple ID can be an email or look like one.
In some cases they are also valid AIM Screen Names as well.
In the case or the @mac.com name you may have linked this Apple ID to iMessages as well.

The three Firefox app. into garbage, emptied garbage and redownloaded new version from Firefox. Reinstalled but same thing happened again... no connection.
What can I do, I like Firefox better than Safari, had it for years on my Mac.

I think it might be the problem with one of your plugins.
Try to uninstall the webbrowser AND remove the storage from Firefox in your user-account (Linux: /home/username/.mozilla). You can check the list of installed Add-Ons in Firefox under "Extras => Add-ons" or by pressing Shift + Strg + A (Linux).

There is no way to export Faces information.
I'm not sure why you would do this:

If space is an issue then move the whole Library to an external drive:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

Problem with the cmd-tab keyboard shortcut now cured with the latest software update, so the original problem must have been a software glitch.

Most likely the LCD Display connector simply came loose from its logic board connector. Take iPhone back to where it was repaired, and ask them to simply press the connector back into its place. Ask them to apply a bit of foam material or several small pieces of tape on top so the pressure of the flex connector plate holds it properly in place for the future.
