Text box should get focus

Hi,
          In my jsp page I have a form witho two text fields i.e input type="text"
          These two text fields get the values from scanning. Since scanning
          generates an event enter(it is going to submit the form), so after I scan
          the first value to the first text box, the second text box should get focus
          and after the ticket is scanned to the 2nd text box it should submit the
          form and the focus should return to the
          2nd text box and not the first one.

Hi everybody,
I want to accomplish a relatively easy task: when I click on a JButton the text area in my frame should get focus, i.e.: there should be a blinking cursor in the text area and the user should be able to start typing in it right away. However, the text area refuses to get the focus. This is my code:

You are right, what i huge mistake! I made this program however, to demonstrate the problem. In my original program (much more complicated that the example off course) requestFocus() does not do the trick. Tomorrow I will try and see if I can give a more complete example which comes closer to the original program.

On the basis of Sales item Text, item should get copied to Return order

Hi
I am creating Return order With ref to Billing Doc.
when i click on copy one popup is coming that is for Sales item Text.(I want to click on Copy & not Selection List B'cos in Selection List Sales Text will not come)
So as per the Text i should select the material in Return Order.
but when i click on red cross on Sales text window(POP Up), that material also getting copied in SO, which was not happening earlier...
any configuration in Sales Text is there or some Userexit is there???

As such, this is a basic functioanlity of MRP.
Once you enter a forecast & take a MRP run system proposes, when to start the production based on the production leadtime & purc.reqns for the raw materials based on the procurement lead time.
And the same can be viewed from various reports..FOr example MD04.
For this to work the MRP configurations should be valid.
Could you please confine your question to a specific query..?

Thnx all for ur replies. Let me explain u the scenario which i work in now. I have a combo box with 4 values "other " being the last of them. If i select "other" then a text box shud appear with the label. what happenes now is i have added onChange whn an option is changed . I have named that functiion refresh for which the code goes like this..

whn i select an other option thn the whole page gets refreshed and the first value only appears. If i select other then the page refreshes and gets back again to the first value. These guys here use tags like <c: if> <C;choose> <c: otherwise> which am not familiar with. Do pls help me in retaining the option selected.. Thank You.

Text box should not appear when printed

Need to create a 4-line text box/form field/comment to give users instructions, but box should not be visible when printed. A form/text field can be set-up to be visible but not printed, however, it will not allow multiple lines of text in it.
Any suggestions?

How do you get rid of text boxes that get stuck on the form?

When in "View Responses" there is a text box that says "Manually Added" stuck no matter where I scroll. Its actually happened 3 times so now there are 3 "manually added" text boxes stuck on view responses - which is becoming an issue as it hinders being able to see what is actually in the responses. I have to resize the responses to get around them. Other people on my team are having the same issue. Can someone help?

I am using Firefox. The boxes show up no matter if I sign out and sign back in or not and flash has been updated and it still occurs. I've attached an image to show you what it looks like. I've minimized my form to show that the box continues to stay in place. (My form is a lot longer than what screen capture allows me to show and there are more randomly placed text boxes further down the page.)

Why does text box info get cut off in certificate

I am using Captivate 7. When a student enters his name and pharmacy license number in the field is is ok, but when it is reproduced in the certificate (and the name also in the "Hello NAME welcome to the program") it cuts off the name if it is too long and won't print all of the license info if there is more than one license (it prints some of the second) .... it's like cutting it off becuase there are too many letters or numbers.
I have the correct field for the certificate, for instance $$cpQuizInfoStudentName$$ and $$v_custom4$$ .... it pulls the info in from the field, but cuts it off.
Any ideas? HELP. I am pulling what little hair is left on my head out!

It sounds like you have authored a drop-down field that looks something like this in the Design view:
As you know, the fillable form cannot display this multi-line choice label.
Unfortunately, there's no way to correct this issue other than reducing the amount of text in the choice label or somehow creating enough space in the form to accommodate the text on a single line. For example:
- reduce the amount of space allocated for the label text
- reduce the text size of the drop-down field
- increase the form width, then increase the width of the drop-down control
I will log a bug against the authoring application for this issue. The current behavior is misleading.

In my use case I should have a text box in the jsf page and I should store the value that is entered in the text box in a database.
The requirement is the value which user enters in the text box should get changed to Uppercase

Compare two text box values????

I do have one logic, but not sure where to write it so want your guys help for the same.
The logic is:-
if (&P13_NEW_PASSWORD. == &P13_CONFIRM_NEW_PASSWORD.) then
insert into tbuser (password) values (&P13_NEW_PASSWORD.);
else
dbms_output.line_('Both the text boxes should be same!!')
P13_NEW_PASSWORD and P13_CONFIRM_NEW_PASSWORD are two text boxes, where in above statment I'm comparing two text box values, if yes than insert that values into the DB tables otherwise displaying else messges.
so can anybody tell me where should i write the above logic to make it work perfect..!!!

I would suggest a few changes to the "get_hash" function. First, the DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT has been deprecated in favor of DBMS_CRYPTO:

DBMS_CRYPTO offers Message Authentication Code (MAC) functions which are keyed hashes. If you use a non-keyed function such as MD5 (which is VERY well known), someone can easily generate a table of all possible passwords within reason and their matching hash, which essentially allows them to get the passwords. MAC functions take in the data (password in this case) and a key. You can probably just use a big random string for your key. Now someone would need to the key as well to generate a hash table. In short, just use DBMS_CRYPTO.MAC where Duncan used DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT.md5.

Cascading Text Boxes in Tabular Form

Hello Gurus,
I have a Cascading Select List in a Tabular Form made with APEX_ITEM.
My Tabular Form is like this: Col1[select list], Col2[select list], Col3, col4 .
Now :- I would like Col2 to be made as a TEXT BOX as opposed to SELECT LIST. But this TEXT BOX should still be populated "On Change" of Col1 and the TEXTBOX should be editable.
I saw another function called: TEXT_FROM_LOV_QUERY but I can not set the item_id [to use in HTML HEAD Java Script Function & Application Process] as the signature of the function does not support.

How do I use metadata text box in Aperture Book

When I hit the button for a text box, I get a text box. Likewise for a new photo box. What I really want is a metadata text box and when I hit that button nothing happens. I have tried it with a photo selected and on a blank page.
How do I use the metadata text box in Aperture books? BTW I am working on a small sized soft cover book.

Then just begin at page 1, read it and practice what you read. Step by step.
If you don't understand parts of it, dive into the manual as well or ask a question in this forum. But mind that not everybody has a copy of the Classroom in a book. So you need to ask your questions precisely and post screenshots of your artwork.

Input Text Box

I have SP3 with its Fix Pack 3.1 installed
I am not able to use Input Text box component
when i hit preview i cant see the input text box. it gets hidden for no reason
i am not using Dynamic visibility
i have no other component in my dashboard except Input Text component. i have just started
is anyone else experience the same issue? can anyone help please?

Create a new dashboard and test as follows:
1. Give some background color on the input box and then preview to check.
2. Check whether you have marked for HIDE in the Object Browser for that input box.

Cannot type in a text box or text callout box

I'm using Windows 7, IE 9.0.8112.16421, and Acrobat version 10.1.6. I am working in a priorietary platform for reviewing material and I can use all of the commenting tools and can create a text box and a text callout box, but I cannot type in them. My text box and text callout box work just fine with every other program that I use on my system. But this requires using Acrobat and its tools within their platform and I cannot type in those two boxes in that situation. Their first suggestion was it was an Acrobat problem. We have repaired and reinstalled several times to no avail. They then said to be sure Acrobat Reader was not installed (and it wasn't). I've cleared history. Their online reviewing system requires a specific Java script in a specific place -- we've installed, deleted, reinstalled, etc. and it still doesn't work.
I've used this platform on another computer and it works fine. I got a new computer in February with a new CS, and the problem is occurring on only this new system. And only when I am using Acrobat in their platform.
Would anyone have any suggestions what I might try? They said they had one report of a person having the same problem, but they had Reader installed.

I don't know how to save a sample file to the forum. But I know it's actualy being created because I can close and reopen the document and the text box is still there and you can still select the text in the text box, view it and see it. But as soon as you click outside the text box, the text in the text box disappears again until you click back inside the text box.
This problem has been discussed ad nauseum with no solution ever having been given.

I am on Adobe X Pro and whenever I add text using the text edit tool the text disappears when I add text to another place in the document. It is also creating comments for every place I add text. How do I get the text to remain visible in the document and not create a comment?

Usually, responders claim that one is using Mac Preview or reader or some other program. THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM. THE DOCUMENTS ARE BEING CREATED AND/OR EDITED IN ADOBE ACROBAT X AND NO OTHER PROGRAM.

How to edit text in the yellow text box of a URL-link?

- I´ve made a marked text a hyperlink. But when I rollover it, a yellow text box appears and shows the entire URL.
Now, I want it to show a custom edit text.
example:

the yellow text box SHOULD SAY (example):

If you can't change the necessary text box to reflect the title you want you can add the title via an HTML snippet and the following code:

Create a counter and increment it every time when it comes to rs.next
Set ids for the text box with the value of the counter.
eg: textbox1 , textbox2
the 1 and 2 shld be created by the counte just append the count value to the string and set it as id of the new text box dinamically created.
then get the ement by id and get its value and do the process.
