Text file to XML integration.

Hi,
My Text file is picking from source but not writing to target. Getting "RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~". But when i test message mapping it showing success. All the fields are mapped properly and Conversion is also correct, what else could be problem.
Your solution will be apreciated.

Hi Ranjeeth,
1) As per the question, your input is text file. Do you have used content conversion to get the xml file from the text file.
2) Test the mapping in the repository - take the input from SXMB_MONI(input message) and give this data as a input to your Message mapping.

If you for some reason would do this task in SQL Server, you would implement it as a CLR stored procedure, but from what you have said I don't understand why you would do this server-side at all.

You can create a text file as a file attachment (data object) using the doc.createDataObject and doc.setDataObjectContents:

while executing the Flat file (txt) to xml file scenario, the txt file picked up from my source directory, but i could not find in my target directory.

IN sender CC, i used file content conversion(mesage protocol), file name scheme xi_input.txt
In receiver CC , I used file (message protocol),file name scheme xi_output.xml
In both CC , transport protocol is FTP.
so i gave server name, port, username, password.

How to skip headers in text file through graphical message mapping..i put some condition but instead of that headers structures are created in output xml file.
I need to eliminate that structure created in output xml file..Also headers is coming multiple times in input file..
When i check by keeping output as text file instead of headers blank spaces are created...In xml this blank spaces are coming as structure...
How to eliminate the structure coming for headers in output...

if you want to eliminate headers than you have to generate the text file at the receiver side because the fields under the XML file always come under nodes.
and for the text file you have to do the content conversion at the receiver side.

My approach:
I am trying to read from the text file and store the contents into a vector object. Then I would use the vector object to create different nodes of the XML file through JDOM.
My vector object is getting created but when I am writing it back , it is giving garbage value.
Is my approach correct ..Please Suggest..

Hey there,
Flash being a web based application doesnt allow writing any
files other than temp cookies or the ASO files. Now these files are
useless for the medium you are describing here.
Due to security reasons flash doesnt support XML/Text
writing, but has very good support on the reading XML/Text file. If
you are using the idea for a website then, maybe PHP, ASP along
with SQl might help you save data from flash to a database. And if
you have ideas of keeping this idea desktop based, maybe you can
use MDM Zinc, even PHP, or Visual Studio (where ExternalCallbacks
can be used).

Is it possible to export all information (metadata, list of pictures within each album or project) about ALL pictures in Aperture to text files, in a single operation?

I have downloaded a trial version of Aperture because I would like to switch from using Picasa and gimp to using Aperture. I already know that I want to use Aperture, and that I cannot learn how in 30 days. I want to use the 30 days to see if I can solve a different problem: bulk export of all information except edits and versions from Aperture.
I want to avoid locking information (other than than the edits and version information that Aperture maintains) about my photos into any one piece of software.
Picasa stores a copy of almost all its information in text filies (mostly XML or .ini format) that are scattered through its picture library. These files can be scanned and found by use of Mac OS X tools that are availabe in Terminal (at the bash command line). All of the information about albums, faces, etc can be exported by a single command (after wtiting the progams that the command will initiate. I have not yest found any similar files in Aperture.
Aperture supports the export of EXIF and IPTC metadata, but only for selected photos, and does not appear to support the export of other information at all.
What I would like to do with a single operation, from either Aperture or Terminal, is to export the entire arrangement of phost ins albums and projects, lists of albums, projects and phots with all metadata (including added keywords) attached to each, and for referenced photos, the external file name. I do not care if would be in one file or many different text files, because Mac OS X provides all the tools I would need to extract the information I would want from any number of text files.
This would allow me to reconstruct all of the information about my photos (except for edits and versions) outside Aperture, and to use that info in a database outside Aperture. I would then be able to use Aperture while still being able to do everything that I could do with Picasa.
The most helpful form of an answer to this question might be a list of places to look in the Apple support and Apple developer documentation. It is difficult to teach me anything complicated, but I am fairly good at figuring out things from documentation.

The following script recursively lists the content of an Aperture library. The output is simple, for demonstration puposes, but could be modified to XML. If the XML were that of a PLIST, the Apple Property List viewer oculd be used to diaplsy the output.
A simlar script produces all of the keywords and tags for all of the images in Aperture.
The scripts run much faster in the shell than in the AppleScript Editor bcause the shwll produces no debugging or monitoring information.
