Text lines - won't copy from order to deliver to invoice.

Our client has upgraded from 2007 to 8.8 pl 14
When they copy from an order to deliver the text lines are just not copied.  Same applies from delivery to invoice.
Has anyone else experienced this issue.
Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can fix this.
Thanks
Jo

Hi Jo,
I tried that on PL 15 and it works fine for me. Is there, by any chance, a formatted search assigned to that field?

  • Edit "Copy From button" on  A/R Invoice

    Hi
    I've added two extra Forms  "Loading"  &  "Unloading" under A/R Invoice . This is not the problem.
    The problem is---
    I want to get the "Copy from Unloading" dropdown  after clicking the Copy From button  on A/R Invoice  Form.

    Hello,
    (I didn't understand the answer. Would I solve the following problem by that answer?)
    I've made a form for Unloading of goods.
    Now I have to copy the details of the form from "Unloading Form"   to
    "A/R  Invoice"  .
    So, I've to add  one item "Unloading"  with others-"Sales Quotaions",  "Sales Orders" ,  "Deliveries"   in the "Copy From"  button  of  A/R Invoice Form.
    Is it possible?
    If yes, then How?

  • Copy from a closed A/R invoice to a A/R Credit Memo.

    Hello Forum,
    I have a closed A/R invoice that is paid up.
    Now, if the customer returns that  item, I would create an A/R Credit Memo and pull up from the above A/R Invoice. However, SAP B1 8.8 does not allow copy from a closed A/R invoice. In that copyfrom list only the open A/R invoice show up.
    Is this how it has always been, or am I missing something here.
    Basically my need is to be able to create a A/r Credit Memo from a closed A/R invoice. Without this, we have to enter items one by one, rather than be able to copy them all and remove the ones we don't want returned. Right?
    Thank you.

    Hi Syed,
    It had been always like that, from version 2004 until latest version. Never used version prior to 2004, but I believe it should be the same case. The reason is quite simple, closed Invoice couldn't be credited again with a credit memo document. However I understand that your intention here only to copy all item (as a template only), but that's not how SAP B1 worked.

  • Header text to get copied from order to Invoice

    Hi,
    we are creating an Invoice(through transaction VF01) giving the delivery document number and document type (Invoice F2).
    we are maintaining Header text in Order through which the above mentioned delivery document number is created and this header text should get copied in the Invoice.
    For this, I went into Transaction VOTXN, from there selected billing header, from here kept a break point for the routine BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_001 through which the text will get copied.
    Now, when I'm creating the Invoice this routine is getting executed, but still the text is not getting copied.
    Any pointers on this would be of great help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vamsee Priya.

    Maintain the Text ID @ Sales Documnet Header level and add it to your Text Procedure. Also ensure you assign the access sequence to your Text ID in your procedure.
    Access Seuquence should have VBBK and the text ID number and check All Languages and use Requirement 1.
    Then in the Delivery Header Text Procudure add this text ID and assign the same access sequence as above.
    This will copy the Text ID from Sales Order to Delivery Order Header.
    You can configure the output for packing slipduring the delivery process  and in the output program read this Text ID and print it.
    Note" Copy Controls do not copy text from preceeding documents to succeeding documents. Only the Access Sequences used in the Text Procedure will do that with the help of the reuqirement assigned in the same.
    Thanks and Hope this helps.

  • How to create a subtotal or text line in a service sales order ?

    Hi ,
    is there a way to add text line in sales order for service ? when we switch from item sales order to service sales order , the "type" column disappear , and we can not create line other than service line . we use B12007A SP01 PL07
    i've not seen this limitation in the B1 help . is it a setup problem ? or is it impossible to add those lines to service sales order ?
    thanks for help
    regards

    Hi,
    This is not setup problem this is limitation you cannot add line as text or subtotal using type option in service order like item type order. If you want to add text for your service line you can do this through linewise  udf.

    Vinod

    You can this via the copy control functionality if i am not wrong.
    SPRO-SD-billing-maintain copy control for billing documents
    there you can choose which data you want to transfer from ie delivery to invoice etc...
    It is not that difficult

  • Missing Functionality: Copy from orders and pick and pack functions

    When I create a delivery note from the Sales A/R Delivery menu using the "Copy from" function and select two or more orders having different payment methods, system show me one delivery notes and alerts me that orders have two different payment terms.
    If i do the same in the Pick and Pack selecting lines from different orders, system show me one delivery notes without alerts me that orders have two different payment terms.
    This behavior is contradictory. The system should have same behaviour in the "Copy from" functionality and in Pick and Pack.

  • Personal No: copy from Order to Confirmation

    Dear All,
    The Personal Number assigned to an Operation in Maintenance Order is not being copied into the Confirmation when carrying out IW41. I could find settings to copy dates etc but not for this field.
    Can anyone suggest how to get this copied automatically from the Operation in the Order.
    Regards,
    MLN Prasad

    Hi,
    Try user exit CONFPM03: Customer-specific check by operation selection at the time of confirmation to copy the details from order operation.

  • Lifeblog won't copy from phone?

    I have an n95 with latest version of pc suite updated as of today, latest firmware on phone (again as of today). When I use lifeblog on pc suite and tell it to copy from phone I get the error message "You have an incompatible version of lifeblog on your phone." Hmm am I missing something here?

    Yep I agree. The camera is really pretty good whereas the iPhone camera is (well, I could get offensive but ...). The 95 is a good 'un and I've taken some quality shots. Shame that the lousy operator MMS inter-network gateways make it such a random experience sending those pics to friends tho. I reckon 50% get through.
    Returning to the topic of rubbish Nokia software I have just discovered a new "feature" of PCSuite that exemplifies the problem. There are 2 versions of PC Suite out there. One is the Nseries version of PC Suite which sort-of solves the Lifeblog issue by converting everything into Nokia Photo (although you can't see the photos you've taken in the lifeblog timeline like the old version). However if you try using One Touch Access in the Nseries PCS on the N95 8gb it doesn't recognise the modem. WHEREAS if you download "regular" PC Suite version 7 it is exactly the opposite. One Touch Access works as intended and without a glitch, but v7 doesn't synchronise with Lifeblog.
    What I would *really* like is one version of the software that works with both applications. This however is obviously not cool enough for the developers to worry about ...

  • How to copy Sales Order to A/R Invoice (or at least set the BaseRef)

    Hi, currently if I need to 'convert' a Sales Order into A/R Invoice, I have to do it via the SAP application directly. What I'm trying to achieve is to automatically do it via an EXE application (I have one ready for other purpose -> connect to SAP via DI).
    So far I know how to create a new A/R Invoice and close the Sales Order, but the problem is that I can't 'link' the Invoice to the original Sales Order (ie. the BaseRef field). Is there a way to do it?
    Furthermore, is there any easier way? ie. simply call a 'copy' method or something else, instead of writing the same information (field by field) from Sales Order to Invoice?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi Afandi,
    This will solve your problem
    Private Sub CreateInvoice()
            ' init the invoice object
            oInvoice = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oInvoices)
            oInvoice.CardCode = cmbCustomer.Text
            Dim sNewObjCode As String
            Dim i As Integer
            ' Get last added document number (the order that was added)
            oCompany.GetNewObjectCode(sNewObjCode)
            ' this loop adds the different items to the invoice object
            i = 0
            Do
                oInvoice.Lines.BaseEntry = sNewObjCode
                oInvoice.Lines.BaseLine = i
                oInvoice.Lines.BaseType = SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oOrders
                oInvoice.Lines.TaxCode = TableLines.Rows(i).Item(4)
                i += 1
                If i <> TableLines.Rows.Count Then
                    oInvoice.Lines.Add()
                End If
            Loop Until i = TableLines.Rows.Count
            ' Try to add the invoice object to the database
            lRetCode = oInvoice.Add()
            If lRetCode <> 0 Then ' If the addition failed
                oCompany.GetLastError(lErrCode, sErrMsg)
                MsgBox(lErrCode & " " & sErrMsg) ' Display error message
            Else
                cmdInvoice.Enabled = True

  • Copy from Options on  A/P invoice for purchase orde is not working all time

    Hi Expert,
    Currently we are using SAP Business one 8.81 PL09 upgraded from PL05
    Even after the upgrade, we still having problems with the purchase orders. When I go
    into the A/P invoice and try to copy the purchase order over, it doesn't list any
    purchase orders which was already added .  As soon as we bring up the purchase order and then copy it into a A/P
    invoice, then all  purchase orders work like they are supposed to.  What do I need to do
    to fix this?
    Thanks
    Arun K Singh
    Edited by: Arun Singh on Dec 29, 2011 2:52 AM

    Dear Arun,
    try following scenario,
    1) Create one purchase order with only one  Non excisable item with non Excisable warehouse and try to add A/p.
    2) With same Vendor try to create excisable item and with Excisable warehouse and try to create A/p.
    As per me need to work 1st scenario.
    But in second scenario system not allow you to create A/p invoice directly without GRPo and excised invoice.
    Try and let me know.

    Hi,
    If you need discuss about DI programming, it is better post it on SDK forum.  In this forum, you may discuss about achieving it by DTW.  However, I don't think that has any time benefit for this task.

  • Display as Text field won't populate from select

    I'm an Oracle Forms person trying to learn APEX. Love it but having problems with seemingly simple stuff. I made a simple page exactly from sample code found from Oracle documentation and still can't get to work. Appreciate any help.
    Have simple form with 2 fields. One field P400_DEPTNO which is select field. Code in the HTML Form Element Attributes: onchange="javascript:getDNAME(this);"
    The other field is D400_DNAME which have as Display as Text(escape special characters, does not save state)
    I have application item G_DEPTNO
    application process GET_DNAME:
    DECLARE
    vDNAME VARCHAR2(100);
    BEGIN
    SELECT DNAME INTO vDNAME FROM DEPT WHERE DEPTNO = :G_DEPTNO;
    htp.p(vDNAME);
    EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS THEN
    htp.p('No such department!');
    END;
    code in HTML Header of page 400:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function getDNAME(filter)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=GET_DNAME',0);
    get.add('G_DEPTNO', filter.value);
    var ret = get.get();
    if(ret)
    var d = document.getElementById("P400_DNAME");
    d.innerHTML = ret;
    get = null;
    </script>
    I'm getting this error when running page:
    get error:
    Line: 25
    Char: 3
    Error: 'null' is null or not an object
    when I view source: line 25 is:
    d.innerHTML = ret;
    I have tried so many variations. Could something on my system not be installed correctly or am I just missing something simple? Appreciate any help offered.

    Hi Vinad:
    I am running version 3.0.0.00.20.
    I followed the directions step by step from http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=56976:1:2691826935187310
    I assume the code you are interested in is the javascript code:
    HTML HEADER
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function getDNAME(filter)
    var get = new htmldb_Get(null,$v('pFlowId'), 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=GET_DNAME',0);
    get.add('G_DEPTNO', filter.value);
    var ret = get.get();
    if(ret)
    var d = document.getElementById('P1_DNAME');
    d.innerHTML = ret;
    get = null;
    </script>
    On Demand Application Process
    DECLARE
    vDNAME VARCHAR2(200);
    BEGIN

  • Exchange rate to be the copied from order to  billing

    Hi Friends
    I have a scenario
    I am doing an export sale...and have taken the exchange rate type as G which is coming from the customer master with value as ( 1EUR = 54 INR).
    When I do the billing the g is picked up for the pricing data but for the accounting data in the billing header it is picking up  INR 55 which is maintained at exchange rate type M
    and hence the accounting entries are converted as per INR 55
    Is there anyway we can get the exchange rate type G to be considered for the accounting entries as well through customising or do I have to use a user exit
    I have checked in the copy control which only controls the pricing data and not the accounting data
    regards
    Anurag

    Hi,
    You can maintain the desired exchange rate in the sales order header -
    1. Maintain the sales document currency in the sales document header->Sales->Doc Currency
    2. Maintain the exchange rate in the sales document header ->Accounting-Exch.Rate.acct, click the radio button in the the exchange rate field and maintain rates.
    This exchange rate will be defaulted in billing / accounting document.
