TextField on ios is above the displaylist

I created form that uses several TextFields of "input" type and while those behave fine on Android on IOS, when I select textfield its "native" part shows up above the display list, so whenever i scroll my form under other parts of the application it is fully showing on top with the cursor, text entered and little "x". Is there any way to cure it? I'm baning against the wall here.
I know there is stagetext native component that should act like that but i'm using just regular textfield and i don't want any nice features but i want it to be part of my app not above it. Again, on android it acts perfectly normal.
Target device: iPod 4gen iOS 5
SDK: 4.6 + AIR 3.1
If anyone has any thoughts please help.
I'm thinking this is just a framework bug...

I am not using any flex framework classes.
I am using bare bones TextField with .type = TextFieldType.INPUT but i think what is happening when you FOCUS_IN to that field, Adobe adds a native component on top which on ios is pretty crude and causes the issue i described. I guess i'll have to do some interface tweaking so i don't need to slide my form under anything....
Adobe, please improve regular text handling on ios to have benefits from native but act normally within the display list!
Another bug i saw is that every time you switch between 2 input textfields the "softkeyboardevent.deactivate" gets fired up even though it shouldnt and it doesn't on android.
And another bug is settings "Stage.focus = null" to defocus text field programatticaly has no effect on "ios"
And another bug is: sometimes native tip-like label shows up over your typed text and when the textfield gets moved it doesn't follow it.
Overall, input text handling seems pretty buggy and unfinished, hopefully this gets addressed very soon, since it is the core functionality.

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

When someone facetimes me if I miss their call it does not show up in lock screen or number missed above the FaceTime app. I have everything turned on for the previews and show in lock screen and recently missed items is 10.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

When I open safari, I can pull up mail and facebook ok, but that's as far as I can go. It is frozen and dark. Also there is a lock emblem above the address line.

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
For the lock sysmbol, whereabouts is it ? Is it next to the battery indicator, indicating that you've got rotation lock on ?

After updating Apple TV to iOS 5.1, the option to purchase movies disappeared

Since september, 24, hours after I updated to iOS 5.1, the option to purchase movies disappeared from the system. It happened to all the countries in south america as far as I have tried changing stores within my Apple TV. The issue was recurrent with the late iOS as well, but changing the store to the United States and changing it back to Brazil seemed to solve the problem, and the option to buy movies would simply reappear. But now this solution isn't working anymore. When I change stores to the United States the option to purchase movies is there. When I change it back to Brazil, though, it disappears again. Anyone having the same problem?

After more than a month, the issue persists. I sent an email to Tim Cook reporting this. The day after I sent it, some one contacted me from Apple and said Apple's engineers would take a look at it. The person informed she would call back with more information about the problem. She called back the subsequently 3 weeks. Every time to inform that they were still looking into it. At one time, she said they could not reproduce the issue, and actually mentioned they could see the purchase option, which I know isn't possible, considering they did pay attention to the context of this particualr issue. The last time this person called, I just didn't want to deal with it anymore, it was the third week in a row the person was calling to say the same thing. I'm really fed up with it. I even bothered to make a movie reproducing the problem and uploaded it to YouTube, than sent the link to the person, so she could show it to whomever is responsible for fixing this. I thought it would solve the problem, since the person informed they couldn't see it. It has been more than one week since I sent it, and the person called again to inform they received the email with the link to the video. But I really don't think anyone watched it. I kept the video off the searchabel option on YouTube, so it can only be watched by people who receive the link to it. And the number of times it has been watched is very small, approximately the number of times I visited it. I am under the impression this isn't a defect at all. I have reasons to believe this might be deliberately happening. USA, UK and Australia still have the options to buy movies on the Apple TV's iOS. There is no problem at all with our Apple TV's or their servers. They just locked us out. It is just a shame, because now I am sure they are aware of te problem and just don't really wanna do something about it. I mean, how hard can it be for Apple to fix such a strange and suspiciously selective problem?! It is also a shame the fact that they make us waste so much time! Really disappointing. Don't even bother trying to contact iTunes Support, they tried to convince me it is a problem with the harware. And as you might have read two posts above, they tried to convince geoffreyy it has something to do with licensing agreements limitations to some countries, which is not true. You can still purchase the same movies using the iTunes Store on a Mac, iPhone or iPad. It just disappeared from the Apple TV. If you buy a movie using, let's say, your iPad, it will be availabel to watch on the Apple TV through iTunes in the cloud, under the purcahsed section of the movies section on your Apple TV. This and other things that Apple has been doing lately to secondary markets all around the world is what makes me feel really ****** about Apple. They just don't care...

Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Well i got my iPad in India, Apple sells unlocked versions here. So i am tied with any provider, i can put in any carrier's sim card and it will work.
after upgrading to ios8 the "Personal Hotspot" was not visible. So as you can see in the Discussion above after putting “something” in the Username under APN settings of Personal Hotspot the “Set up Personal Hotspot” menu appeared. However I get the error about the Carrier if I tap on it…. Which does not make sense as I am using a unlocked iPad Air

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Payment Date is Above the Cumulation Window

Hi gurus - We have a situation with a Canadian employee who was converted into our system as a retiree. The only payroll results he has are NAMCs for Year End adjustments.
We are testing an issue related to YE and are making NAMC entries on IT 0221 through tcode PAKY. Payment date = 07/31/2009. Error = Payment date 07/31/2009 is above the cumulation window (07/01/2007 - 07/31/2008). If I use a payment date of 07/31/2008 we don't get the error - understandably. But even if I successfully run an adjustment for 07/31/2008 and then try for the next year, 07/31/2009, I still get the error.
From what I understand, the program is basing the cumulation window on the last payroll resutls. However, in the CRT and TCRT in his last payroll results, he has cumultions for the year 2008 from the NAMCs that were performed for 2008 YE last year. That would lead me to believe that his cumulation window would have moved up (past 07/01/2007 - 07/31/2008).
Can anyone explain how SAP defines the "current cumulation window" and/or how to update the cumulation window to a more recent period?
BTW - the entry in T56C5 is set to 1.

You must enter a paydate within a given time range - the cumulation window.
If one control record is set too far back in the past, the cumulation window is determined incorrectly which leads
to the mentioned error message.
The solution should be:
Please ensure that the control records of all effected payroll areas are set to a period around a date of today.
(This is also valid for the control record of the non payroll relevant payroll area. If you delete this record, note 355889 has
to be applied.)
Also please check the following: Look at IT0000 and IT0001 and check all the records you find. Then check all the payroll
areas and look if any of them are not payroll relevant. Finally have a look at the payroll periods and find out if they were
correctly generated, if not generate them.

As a test, shut down your computer and disconnect ALL USB devices. Do this procedure to Reset the shuffle

There is a horizontal band or gap above the Firefox window at the top of the screen, where you can see the Windows desktop behind the Firefox window. On the left side of this band are the window tabs, and the menu bar, and another bar with the names of the open windows. If you are in full screen mode then you can hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

How to remove the bar above the email body in inbox

How do I remove the Information / toolbar? (not sure what it is called) that appears above the email body under the list of incoming emails in the inbox. It is the bar the has info about the email and buttons like reply, delete, etc. It is redundant and just takes up space.

You cannot remove it. It is part of the message pane and will display when the message pane turned on.
You can make it smaller with this add on.
