When I open I Tunes on my lap top I get a message saying that this version of I tunes is corrupted and I need to re install. If I re install will I lose my music library already created in I tunes?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Apple may not have tested your camera with the current release of iMovie, but it might have done so in prior versions (8 [09], 7 [08], 6 [06], 5 [05], and 4 [04])
If your camera outputs MPEG-2, there's a solid chance that iMovie 9 will properly read its data, as has happened in the case of one 2007 Panasonic SDR-H18 that was not listed past iMovie 6 (this is my own grandmother's camera, which was only supposed to work with some cheap-as-dirt compositor, from a no-name in Japan that pushed its wares also to Fujifilm, JVC, and Olympus). In '09 my grandmother and I went out for Snow Leopard. I installed it without delay, but the Panasonic compositor would frequently crash while previewing a clip post-upgrade. After getting a big runaround from the phone techs, one of them dropped the iMovie hint. A bit more digging through the Apple boards (right here) pretty much sealed things up. The camera worked then, and still works today.
As to other formats, I don't know. Best I can suggest is to give your camera a go at your new Mac (or the other way around).

No, that one is for the pre-unibody MBPs models "early 2008" and older that had user-removeable batteries (and silver keyboards). Won't work in the newer "black keys" models like yours.

However, the advert does not make it clear if it its limited to only certain mdles of 15-inch MBPs.
Best advice is in Leroy's post--take it to Apple and let then figure out which battery you need.
NOTE: Don't put too much faith in the negative reviews in the Store. When people post here that their battery failed prematirely, about 90 percent of the time their complaint includes. "I don't understand. I never use the computer on battery!"
These batteries will die young if not used. I try to run mine on battery once or twice a week. -
New MacBook Pro with Windows 7 only - need OS X installed
Hi,
For my new job, I have been given a new MacBook Pro, but for some strange reason, it only has Windows 7 pre installed. Is there any way of installing Mac OS without trashing the Windows installation? I have booted from the Mac OS install disk and have the option to partition the disk via the disk utility, but would this delete Windows?
I basically need the MacBook to be dual bootable.

GregI am under the impression that Mac OSX 10.6 is necessary to install Windows via Bootcamp. If your Windows operates via an emulator you would have to have a Mac OSX install to access the application.
I can only guess that the Mac OSX is in some way hidden so that you can only see Windows. Have you tried to boot while holding the option key down to see if there is a Mac start up choice?
I would not repartition with disk utility till you have an answer as it would certainly erase the hard disk. Is there someone at your new job who could explain this situation. Be sure to follow up on this thread as I am quite interested in the explanation. -
My MacBook Pro got wet and I need help?
We just had a different air conditioner installed above my computer desk. Even though my MacBook Pro was not on top of the desk it still got wet. It soaked through the desk straight on to the pullout computer shelf onto my laptop. We soaked it in rice for a week. We just pulled it out and nothing. The light on the battery won't even light up. Any suggestions?? Is there somewhere I can go for a miracle fix (I'm in Salt Lake City, UT) or am I totally screwed???

Macbook pro running slow and jumpy after clean lion install
Did an upgrade to Lion. Macbook pro was really slow, tried disk repair and repairing permission as well as resetting the smc. No luck. Did a clean install of Lion, still jumpy though a bit faster. Again verified disk (didnt need repair) and repaired permission, as well as smc reset. Still no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
What do you mean, 'jumpy'? Also, has Spotlight stopped indexing? Check the magnifying class in the upper right corner and click on it. If it doesn't say it's indexing, then it completed that task. How much RAM do you have in your system?

It's more than likely broken, a part has failed. You need to take it to a Apple store Genius Bar to be checked out and fixed. Or just buy a new Mac as to fix the one you have might be cost prohibitive. Especially if your warranty has expired.

No longer able to open the application on my MacBook Pro since upgrading to FaceTime 1.0.5 (170). The operating system is OSX 10.6.8.
My problem opening FaceTime after the upgrade is now solved. I didn't pay enough attention when prompted to decide where to store the application upgrade and as a consequence the computer created another "Applications" folder within the existing one. When I subsequently clicked on the icon on the dock to open the application the computer couldn't find the software.

Did the message say what was corrupt. It is not clear from your description of "...it was corrupt" what "it" is. Sounds like the download of Lion was corrupt. Download it again. Downloaded files sometimes get corrupted due to network connection glitches or interruptions.

Also before installing Please go to Applications-->Utilities--> Adobe installers and if there is any uninstaller for CS5.5 , you can remove it and do a fresh install.
