The bottom bar, which shows the URL, the "lock" on secured sites, etc, is NOT THERE on firefox but is on other browsers. What can I do?
As above, the bar across the bottom, which shows the URL, the "lock" symbol on secure sites, etc., IS NOT THERE on any firefox page I open. It is there on other browsers but I would like to continue using firefox. What should I do?
In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

You can use this extension to get a padlock on the location bar.

After downloading the latest Windows updates I found that I could not play videos on YouTube or at other sites. Switching to other browsers I found I could play those same videos now without any problem. So I did a System Restore to determine if the Windows updates had affected video play using Firefox. The restore point was set to the day before the Windows download occurred. After System Restore was completed I could now play videos using the Firefox browser.
To make sure that the Windows update was the problem, I again downloaded the newest Windows Updates and once again could not play videos on any site using Firefox. System restore was used to again reset my computer to the day before and once again the videos would ow play in the Firefox browser.Actually your reply took me in another direction and I found this on the Adobe site:
The RealPlayer extension for Firefox, Downloading & Recording, has compatibility issues with Flash Player 11.3. If RealPlayer is installed Flash Player content does not appear. YouTube provides an error message when you try to watch a video.
As a workaround, do the following:
Start RealPlayer.
Click the RealPlayer icon in the upper-left corner and select Preferences.
Select Download & Recording in the left menu and deselect Enable Web Download & Recording for These Installed Browsers option.
Click OK and restart Mozilla Firefox.
Once I followed this I could now again play videos in Firefox. -
I was watching a video of a musician on YouTube and all of a sudden, there was no sound. I tried it using Chrome and had no problem. I refreshed Firefox, but still no sound. Can anyone help?

How can I see the address bar which is buried above the top of the page?
I cannot see the address bar that is buried at the top of the page. My cursor will not go up above the top and will not force the page to come down. I have tried un-installing and re-installing, no help. I cannot use the site because I cannot get to the address bar.
What can I do?you've probably also hit the F11 key before - it just toggles between full-screen and normal mode.

This happens for every link, there is no text in the bubble. It seems to be the correct size for the link, but nothing appears. I have an add-on called Noia4 Theme Configuration, which can change the color of text on toolbars, but I have messed with these and nothing has changed, please help!

utube vids play but the (pics) graphics do not load on any web page I go to and my google chat says it can't connect to internet but my internet works fine and google chrome works fine too. and google mail graphic buttons for email are not appearing also.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.

Also, doing noise reduction ruins the colour.
Why can't it just export properly...Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

How do I get the Awesome Bar to show up at the top of my Firefox Browser window?
From one day to the next when shutting down my computer to turning it on the next day, the bookmark toolbar, browser address window (& its attendant drop-down history links), Search window, Back Bar (the little arrow you click on to go back one link at a time), etc., all disappeared. At the top of my Firefox Browser is nothing but a gray line where tabs show up. I can, of course, go up to the Firefox Menu Bar at the top of my computer screen and click on File--New Window, but that takes extra time and is quite inconvenient (now that I am accustomed to have convenience of one click searching).

I don't know when this started but I can't seem to remedy it. I've updated several times but have not uninstall/reinstalled FF. I'd like to do that only if I have to because I'd like to keep my saved info if possible. I'm not computer illiterate but I'm not a tech either so I need fairly basic instructions if it's at all possible.

Hiding Window bar which shows the window name
Can anybody help me in hiding the window bar which shows the window name .
Just curious... why do you guys want to hide the window bar? It would make your application look different from standard applications running on their platform.
Are you aware that you can change the title on the window bar so it reflects the name of your application? -

How do I get the address bar to show the url of the site that I'm on?
In the old version of firefox, the address bar would show the url of the site I was on. When I would change tabs, the address bar would change to reflect the url of the tab. In the new version, the url of the current site will not show unless I hit the identity info button. This is really frustrating because I want the url to show up automatically, instead of showing the last thing I typed or the last site that I was on. If there is a way to fix this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Close all apps in the Multitasking Drawer; Double Tap Home Button to open drawer, Swipe up on each app to close it. Repeat until all apps are closed, touch home screen.
Restart phone, hold both Home and Power/Sleep buttons down at the same time, continue to hold them down until the Apple Logo appears, Release both buttons and wait for phone to restart.
Check email app to see if bottom bar and new email icon have come back.
If not, delete the email account in settings and then add it back in again.
If mail still not working as it should, you may try doing a Reset All Settings reset in Settings => General => Reset => Reset All Settings. You won't lose any data, music, apps, videos,pictures, etc. But you will have to go back in and turn on or off any settings you changed on your phone because everything will be set back to factory defaults.
