The database DLL 'crdb_oracle' could not be loaded.

I have built a .net 2.0 website that is using Crystal Report Viewer with an Oracle 10g Database. All works well on my local machine but when deployed to the web server I get the following error:
Failed to load database information. Details: The database DLL 'crdb_oracle.dll' could not be loaded. Error in File C:\DOCUME1\DMTEST\ASPNET\LOCALS1\Temp\test {BB80E9A1-92CE-402D-A52A-47ECE4330794}.rpt: Failed to load database information.
I have run the Crystal Reports for .Net Framework 2.0 setup and have located the 'crdb_oracle.dll' file in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\2.7\Bin directory. Am I missing a step in this process.
The Web Server is a Windows 2000 box.
Thank,
John

I am having a similar problem.  However, I do not have CR installed, but want to use only CR from within VS 2008 and deploy a ASP.NET reporting app to IIS.  If I create a simple report with no parameters it will run fine in both VS and IIS.  However, if I add a parameter to the report such as UserId={?Parameter1} then on execution, the report will prompt for the parameter and then throw this error, "The database DLL 'crdb_oracle' could not be loaded."
I have added full privileges to the ASP.NET, IUSR, and IWAM for the Oracle folder.  I also search the hard drive and find only one OSI.dll and no crdb_oracle.dll.
Can you tell me if my scenario is supported with VS 2008 only?
I am connecting to the DB like this:
            ConnectionInfo connectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
            connectionInfo.ServerName = "Driver={Microsoft ODBC for ORACLE};Server=localhost;Port=1521;";
            connectionInfo.DatabaseName = "dev";
            connectionInfo.UserID = "...";
            connectionInfo.Password = "...";
            TableLogOnInfos tableLogOnInfos = CrystalReportViewer1.LogOnInfo;
            foreach (TableLogOnInfo tableLogOnInfo in tableLogOnInfos)
                tableLogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = connectionInfo;
Thank you,
Travis

  • The Acrobat PDFMaker Server could not be loaded

    Hi All, Using Acrobat 8 pro on xp system inc Office 07. Suddenly today i am unable to create a PDF from any doc unless using PDF printer option. My COM add in tabs vanished. I have uninstalled booted etc then reinstalled no change. I have also run the installer in repair mode, no joy. I have managed to recover the COM add ins from the disabled option for all my windows progs such as word etc but all come up with the warning " The Acrobat PDFMaker Server could not be loaded" This also counts for creating a PDF direct from the PDFMaker opening page. Any ideas anyone as i believe the problem lies with Acrobat rather than the windows components.

    "PDFMaker server could not be loaded"
    I just did the following to my xp, office 2003 system

    4. put patch for 2007 read on 2003
    5. uploaded Adobe 8.0.1.2
    6. then tried to used pdf maker and got the deadly: "PDFMaker server could not be loaded"
    7. then went through usual suspects of reloading, removing and then reloading, etc, even redid the dlls, no use
    8. if this seems to be as wide spread a problem as it appears on the web boards would one not think adobe in the kindness of its heart would fix it
    9. i can print to pdf and it is editable

    When I try to create a pdf ( Version 9.4.5 ) either from Excel or Word , I get the above message.
    Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • The Adobe PDF Maker could not be loaded

    With Acrobat 9, XP and Office 2007...
    When in Word 2007, I click  "Adobe" on the toolbar to convert the Word file to pdf. However, when I do this, I get the message "The Adobe PDF Maker could not be loaded" and am given the option to run Repair Mode.
    The conversion works fine from Print|Adobe pdf but this takes away some of the convenience of using the program.
    I've run Repair Mode and no change in results. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat. Any other suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Doubt this is the problem, but it might be worth a check. In past versions of OFFICE, you sometimes had to allow PDF Maker as a trusted macro. Haven't heard about the problem with AA9, but it might be a possibility.

  • The class or interface could not be loaded...?

    I'm doing a simple link code. I've tried many diferrent ways to do this but this error keeps comming up saying The class or interface could not be loaded...
    home_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoURL);
    function gotoURL(event:MouseEvent):Void
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("my site"));
    This is the most recent method I've tried in doing this. I've tried changing the publishing settings of the document to and from Action Script 3.0- using an import command. But thats too complicated. I know this is simple... but can anyone please help?

    Thanks, but whenever I change the publish settings back to As3 the flash tween gets caught in a loop and it doesn't end, it just re-runs the swf over and over again. I'm not sure how to fix this problem now.
    I even tried to add a stop(); at the beginning of the new script.
    stop();
    home_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoURL);
    function gotoURL(event:MouseEvent):Void
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.knirv.com"));
    I'm still getting an error message saying "1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: Void."...However, I'm sure your advice to upload to my server will solve this. Much thanks for the expertise

  • The specified cache entry could not be loaded during initialization

    The OBIEE server is failing every few minutes of working.
    I saw in the NQServer.log:
    The specified cache entry could not be loaded during initialization.
    Cache entry, '/home/oracleadmin/OracleBIData/cache/NQS_rprt_734086_39693_00000001.TBL', is invlaid due to either non-existing file name, size does not match, exceeding maximum space limit nor exceeding maximum entry limit, and it's been removed.
    I checked the directory and there is no space limitation.
    Can someone please clarify?
    The server/Config/NQSConfig.INI is as follows:
    [ CACHE ]
    ENABLE = YES;
    DATA_STORAGE_PATHS = "/home/oraceladmin/OracleBIData/cache" 2000 MB;
    MAX_ROWS_PER_CACHE_ENTRY = 100000; // 0 is unlimited size
    MAX_CACHE_ENTRY_SIZE = 1 MB;
    MAX_CACHE_ENTRIES = 1000;
    POPULATE_AGGREGATE_ROLLUP_HITS = NO;
    USE_ADVANCED_HIT_DETECTION = NO;
    MAX_SUBEXPR_SEARCH_DEPTH = 7;

    It's more than enough if you are using it for .tmp and .tbl files storage. Have you checked work_directory_path in NQSConfig.ini file .Is it on diffrent mount point.Usually we wil create a seperate mount point and use that as storage location.
    b. Instead of using SAPurgeAllCache() , can I add shell script which delete the files fromt the cache directory and the execute run-sa.sh?You need to understand diffrence between OBIEE rpd cache and .tbl and .tmp file. SAPurgeAllCache() will purge cache from RPD.It wont purge .tmp or .tbl files.These files will be stored in some physical location.When a report start executing .tmp file will start evoluting and after execution of report it will be purged by OBIEE server automatically.
    see this blog for some insight into this topic

    Did you make any change to your Office, such as install language package, etc. that may cause this problem?
    Since your problem is specific with Office program, it would be better to provide your question at Office Forum.

  • The database DLL 'crdb_oracle.dll' could not be loaded

    I realise this is a common problem but it is now driving me round the bend. I have an embedded a Crystal Report in my Visual Basic program and i get this error, when i try to run it through the viewer.  I have checked that the bin folder for Oracle is first in the PATH system setting and that oci.dll is there.  I have a 10g database (10.1.0.2).  No one seems to have come up with an end solution for this, has anyone ever done so?

    I'm experiencing the same issue.I designed a report with crystal reports designer (it access an oracle database through a jdbc driver), it works correctly via crystal reports designer, but afterwards, I opened this report with a .NET viewer, you can see the report correctly, but if I try to refresh the data then I got this error, that the crdb_jdbc.dll can not be loaded.I need a simple viewer, so I trien to develop it with the .NET component, I have trien with the official crystal reports viewer but it doesn't provide the functionality to refresh the data. I hope that anyone could provide me some guidance.Victor

  • Could not load DLL or External library "c:\folder\123.dll" - This DLL requires the following DLL which could not be found or loaded: abc.dll (Not Found)

    I am having an issue when I try to run a Test Stand sequence that calls a CVI DLL.  The error I get is the subject of this post.
    If I were to put "abc.dll" in the same folder where "123.dll" resides, this error will go away.  However, "123.dll" is used in other applications and I don't want to create multiple copies of this DLL for every program or sequence that wants to call it - that could get messy.
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue might be?
    Thank you,

  • ADMDialog/iFontProblemWarning=The Adobe UI font could not be loaded

    I have been getting this error in a pop-up box every time I start Photoshop CS6 - I acknowledge the error (click OK) and startup completes with no further problems I have looked for solution on the web to no avail (I've chased a few red herrings reinstalling ADMxxx fonts with no success).I have just now removed (moved to a safe location) the "ADM" folder from the Photoshop plug-ins list and error goes away. I understand ADM is Adobe Dialog Manager but can I live without it or should I attempt to fix it?

    Have the same problem and fixed it the same way. Maybe an additional information: I am running Win8 and the error message came up right after a had the latest Windows update. Or are you a happy Mac user??
    On some forums the rumour is spread, this has something to do with the amount if fonts installed in the OS. Nevertheless I had no fonts installed (or removed) between the last flawless start of Ps CS6 Ext and the upcoming error message. Just the Windows update ...
    Would be nice if we had some respons from Adobe on this...

  • The databse DLL 'crdb_oracle.dll' could be loaded.

    I wrote a procedure in Oracle's package(Oracle 9i) :

  • Failed to load DB info. Details: DLL 'crdb_oracle.dll' could not be loaded

    Hello anyone who can help.
    Reports were created using a full version of Crystal Reports 2008, version 12.2.0.290
    I am trying to show the reports in a VS 2008 web page but I keep receiving the following error.
      "Failed to load database information. Details: The database DLL 'crdb_oracle.dll' could not be loaded"
    Googling the Internet I found several things to try but nothing has worked.
    1. Made sure the crdb_oracle.dll was in the path
    2. Copied the crdb_oracle.dll to
         C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\2.8\bin
         and to
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86
    3. Granted full permission to ASPNET to the folders in which crdb_oracle.dll resides.
    4. The oracle client is installed.
    I am not really sure what else to try at this point.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Here is your problem:
    2. Copied the crdb_oracle.dll to
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\2.8\bin
    There is a reason for why that dll is not included with Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 (10.5). E.g., CR 10.5 is a bundle that comes with MS Visual Studio. Oracle being a competitor of MS...
    Anyhow. Tips on how to proceed:
    1) Use ODBC or OLE DB AS opposed to a native Oracle connection
    2) Use the CR 2008 assemblies not the Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 assemblies
    3) You could even consider ADO .NET Datasets - but that depends on other variables (structure of the report, amount of data, etc., etc.)
