The FaceTime app on my iPod touch refuses to go any further than the email verification part of the setup process. It just goes back to the sign in screen every time. How can I fix this?

My built in FaceTime app on my iPod touch will not proceed from the email verification step of the setup process. I have tried going into settings like app support showed but when I click FaceTime it just shows the sign in screen just like before and does the same thing. Please help me to fix this.

Blank screen in itunes store-please help im not very technical and when i click on my itunes app the screen is blank how can i fix this please?

See if any of the following fix it.
Try logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'Sign Out' on the popup and then log back in.
If that doesn't fix it then try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's multitasking bar and see if it works properly when you open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag iTunes from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and the click the home button to close the taskbar.
A third thing to try is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

I have the iPhone 5 and I keep getting a no sim card message. I have had my phone for over a year now so I know I have a sim card. How can I fix this because it doesn't let me get calls now.

Try resetting the phone. Hold the home and power lock button until the Apple logo appears. If that does not work, turn the phone off and take the SIM out and then put it back in.
If that still does not work, you may have a defective SIM, in which case you will need a new one from your carrier.

My mac is freezing all the time, how can I fix this?

Run Disk Utility to verify/repair your drive(s).  Boot from your installer dvd to repair the boot drive.  If the repair reports that it fixed anything then see if your problem is fixed.

  • My daughter in law keeps getting texts on her phone that are going to me she is on my iTunes account how can I fix this

My daughter in law keeps getting my texts on her phone she is on my iTunes account how can I fix this problem without turning off my iMessage?

her iPhone is probably also signed in with your Apple ID (iTunes account) for iMessage. Have her check Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on her iPhone. I'd also have her check Settings>FaceTime. If your ID is there have her sign out.

  • Only one head phone peice works on every set how can I fix this?

All of my headphones and speakers I connect to my headphone jack have only one working speaker or headphone peice it gets really annoying when I have to only use one peice please help I don't know if it is the iPod that can't be fixed or all of my accesories HELP!!!!!

Before you give up all your money try this.. I too have the same problem with my ipod touch 4gen. and i have heard of a way to fix it but have not worked up enough courage to try it yet. What you need to do is take a Q tip and rip off most of the cotton so it easily fits inside and doesnt get stuck in the jack. You can also try putting rubbing alcohol on the q tip (JUST A LITTLE)...*****(REMEMBER TO TURN OFF YOUR IPOD BEFORE YOU DO THIS).  Repeate this a few times if the Q tip comes out dirty. I figure what do you have to loose if the Q tip gets stuck inside or it dosent work at all.. Sticking a Q tip inside your iPod costs a whole lot less then buying a new audio jack and getting it replaced.  If that doesent work try blowing some compressed air in there (Last resort)..
Hope I helped, let me know how it goes.

  • My 2009 iMac freezes and won't run more than one application at a time - how can I fix this?

Help! My iMac has been getting worse regarding freezing, especially when trying to open iPhoto. It will load slowly, and then I get the pinwheel of death for ever, until I shutdown and try over again. It usually takes several tries, and usually overnight. How can I resolve this issue?

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
    Step 1
This diagnostic procedure will query the log for messages that may indicate a system issue. It changes nothing, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    syslog -k Sender kernel -k Message CReq 'GPU |hfs: Ru|I/O e|find tok|n Cause: -|NVDA\(|timed? ?o' | tail | open -ef
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key.
The command may take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear.
A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Normally the command will produce no output, and the window will be empty. If the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window) has anything in it, stop here and post it — the text, please, not a screenshot. The title of the TextEdit window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that.
    Step 2
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
    Reset the System Management Controller.
Run Software Update. If there's a firmware update, install it.
If you're booting from an aftermarket SSD, see whether there's a firmware update for it.
If you have a portable computer, check the cycle count of the battery. It may be due for replacement.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane. See whether there's any change.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
If you have a MacBook Pro with dual graphics, disable automatic graphics switching in the Energy Saverpreference pane for better performance at the cost of shorter battery life.
    Step 3
When you notice the problem, launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the View menu or the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for User, System, and Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the Memory tab. What value is shown in the bottom part of the window for Swap used?
Next, select the Disk tab. Post the approximate values shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec (not Reads in andWrites out.)
    Step 4
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combinationcommand-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.

  • My ipod touch screen reacts sporadically, how can I fix this?

Hi my ipod touch screen works sporatically.  It reacts spacticaly. When I use the keypad it will slowly react and get the letter and sometimes puts in the letter several times. I barely touch it and it reacts and then other times I have to wait seconds until it will react.  What can I do to fix this?

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Please i need some help here with this issue i am using a windows 7 acer and i would like to be able to listen to music while im gaming is there anyway i can fix this issue i am having i keep getting Error code 2  (windows error 2)

You could try downloading and installing 7-Zip (free) and downloading a fresh copy of the iTunes installer, unpack the installer into its components using 7-Zip then try installing AppleApplicationSupport again. It may still fail to install but you may get more useful error messages as to why not.

  • Sound from computer nolonger goes out through HDMI cord. Picture does. How can I fix this?

I have a HP Pavilion dm4 entertainment laptop with Intel core i5 m430 2.27GHz.  Just recently - when I plug in an HDMI cable connected to the TV -  the sound does not go to the TV.  Previously it did.  How can I determine what has changed to prevent this from happening?

Sorry - I meant dm4.  Thank you for responding so promptly.  Since I originally submitted I found  the solution.  I couldn't get it to change from the default laptop speakers  in the sound mixer in the taskbar but when I went to the sound settings in the control panel with the hdmi plugged in and made the samsung TV the default speaker it went to the TV.  I thought I had tried this before but in any case this time it worked.  Again - I thank you for responding so quickly.  Next time I may really need the aswer quickly.

  • Magic mouse cursor lags all the time, how can I fix this?

I've updated to 10.10.3 and this is still happening, please fix this bug.
    Thanks

UPDATE and additional info: This problem is still occurring.
Apply have been completely unhelpful so far, after a second phone call, I was just told (again) to restart my MBP, unpair and repair my mouse, and insert fresh batteries. I've also done the SMC and PRAM resets several times.
I'm using my MBP in clamshell mode connected to a BenQ GL2460 monitor. Running my MBP slightly ajar seems to temporarily help with he mouse lagginess but the problem soon reoccurs.
I've tested my mouse on a friends earlier model non updated MBP and the mouse works fine.
I went out a bought a Microsoft USB mouse and the same lagginess happens with it, albeit a lot worse.
I'm currently running both mice connected via bluetooth, which actually seems to be minimising the magic mouse lagginess, but the Microsoft mouse is still very laggy. So I wonder what having two mice connected simultaneously is doing?
