Where can we get the final package of all of these videos as promised? I can't find a link on here to download them.

Errors with Time Machine (not completing backup, and needing to erase the ".inProgress" package)

I have in a previous discussion been talking about errors with my Time Machine backup. The errors were with a problem with Indexing a file, it fails and stops the whole backup. Each time it attemps another backup, it fills my ".inProgress" package with a (nearly) whole backup, filling my Time Machine hard drive, and thus errasing my previous good backups. The error occurs after about 95% completion.
In my last post of a similar disscussion, the problem was indexing the Preference Pane files and this caused the whole backup to fail. This was my last post there: (below in some additional info of my situation)
I did exclude the MobileMe.prefPane. And I got:

This time it was the Mouse.prefPane that caused the error. I'd like to exclude the entire PreferencePanes directory.
This was my error message this time:
I just realized this was on my small Developers partition. Perhaps there is an error with the build, OR an error with the initial restore. I'd like to perhaps exclude the entire /Volumes/Mac OS Lion GM. I expect that Time Machine is working fine with my main partition and the error happens when it's almost done with the Mac OS Lion GM partition.
The problem now is that I only have 265 GB of 3 TB available on my Time Machine HDD. If attempt another backup, it'll surely erase about 410 GB of my past saved backups. I've already lost 6 months, and I only have two months left of backups. I need to erase the ".inProgress" package again. That'll take time, and it's impossible to do from this main partition, even at root access. This ".inProgress" has a total of two (nearly) full backups; it didn't cleanup the first full backup attempt while starting the second,perhaps it would have had it finished. But I fear even if I exclude the whole "Mac OS Lion GM" partition, It'll create a third full backup before cleanup and erase ~400 GB of previous good backups. Then, I'll have a total of 4 (nearly) full backups! 3 TB is just enough without any past backups.
Maybe I'll just copy my documentations of my 'errasing the ".inProgress" package' last time (from the Mac OS Lion GM partition) and do a full restore of just that partition. Thus erasing the errors all together. If it doesn't fix the errors then this could be a bug in the build that doesn't allow Time Machine to work. I've always included this partition in Time Machine before, even with other Lion builds, so I suspect that it was an error in the initial restore. (I may be answering my own questions, and that the inital restore (of the small partition) is the problem, and I just need to re-restore the small partition)
Again, I'm going to have to erase the ".inProgress" file to regain 1.53 TB of space before proceeding.
Also, I gave myself permission to read the ".Backup.345781513.887697.log", the log that was created last night when I first started Time Machine this last time. It was interesting, but didn't show the error I could see from the console.
Right now, mds and mdworker appear to be going crazy even after I just now turned off Time Machine. I think I'll let it go for the rest of the night. Then I'll work on erasing the ".inProgress" package from the other partition boot up.
That was my entire last post. To add some information, I have two OS X partitons, both Mac OS X Lion. One is my large main partition, the other is one I don't mind testing with. I recently replaced my internal hard drive in my iMac and restored from Time Machine both partitions. This appeared to go smoothly. But I have yet to create a single successful Time Machine backup since. At first it was doing a Full Backup, which I didn't like, but now it just aborts around 95% completion. Each, time, it tries it fills the Time Machine hard drive with duplicate (nearly) full backups errasing my older good backups. I would like to erase the ".inProgress" file to save space.
My main question in this new discussion is does anyone know of a good way of erasing the ".inProgress" file? This is so I can preseerve my previous backups. ACLs and other permissions seem to make it impossible to erase from this startup partition, the one I'm running Time Machine from. Even at root level, if I give myself permission to change permissions or delete a file, it'll say Operation not Permitted instead of Permission Denied. I have been able to delete this ".inProgress" package before when booting from the other partition, but with great difficulty. I have had much help from another Member in this Support Community when it comes to solving my Time Machine problems. I think I have found the problem (indexing files in my small OS X partition), as stated in my copy& pasted post above, but I really need to delete this inProgress package first to save space before continuing!

Otherwise, since most (or all?) of the indexing errors are in OSX, you might want to just reinstall it. Something may have gone wrong sometime, that damaged those files.
I reviewed #C3 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting and I have already done most of those things. I have just learned something new though:
When I included my Main OS X partition again, I got an indexing error for the first time for that partition. I might be interesting to note that the _spotlight process was running, and it's running again (the magnifying glass has a dot and it generically says "Indexing Tom's iMac"). mdworker, mds and backupd processes really are working hard, one moment they used over 500% of my CPU. It's nice to know for once quad core is good for something other than video encoding. (Now if they could just get the Finder to do more than 100.1%, only 1 thread is doing 100%, I'd like to see file size calculations 8 times quicker!)
I never got an indexing error once in the past 2 weeks for that large Mac OS X v10.7.2 main volume, and it had appeared to finish that partition backup before running into problems with my smaller test partition. Also, I had just updated the smaller test partition with a later build of Mac OS X. But It appears that the beta builds are clearly not the problem. I thought I could just restore again (from the December 4th backup) the small partition and both would be fine.
I'll finish reviewing all the suggestions on Time Machine - Troubleshooting and go from there. Hopefully, the _spotlight indexing simutaniously was the only problem. It's strange that the indexing hasn't happened since the original restore last week untill I finally got a good clean complete partial Time Machine backup. Why would the first Time Machine backup trigger indexing again?
For now, I'm going to exclude the Main Partition again, and let another good backup run. And try your suggestions. (And wait till mds, mdworker, etc. to finish!)
I have the logs of the first two sucsessful backups and the last two failed backups from the last 3 hours, if that would help.?

Settlement of the Final Balance Payment against the Down Payment Request

Hi,
How can I settle the Final Balance of a Vendor in SAP against the Down Payment Made under a PO Based Invoice. For Eg. - I have raised a PO of $10000.00 and made a Down Payment Request and Posted it through the APP for $ 300.00 the final balance under the FBL1N displays as $ 9700-, but the ZP Doc Types for Vendor Payment of Down Payment also appear in the Open Items and Status shown is in RED Colour and not in GREEN Colour and does not appears under the Cleared Items. Under the Cleared Items I am able to view the Original Down Payment Requests which I posted through Transaction F-47.
I am unable to settle this Final Balance of $9700 against the Down Payment under the Vendor Account on the basis of a PO Based Invoice.
Can some one please help me urgently on this.

Process flow fails to complete when another in the same package is deployed - OWB 11.2.0.2

Hi,
I have problem with OWB Process Flows whereby whenever I deploy a process flow within an existing package, another Process Flow becomes (unknown to me) invalid and will not complete execution.
When deploying the first process flow, I am synchronising all mappings within it, saving, validating and saving again before deploying it. This process flow then functions ok but then a random process flow within the same package malfunctions. By this I mean the process flow does not complete, as if it has lost some connectors. Has anybody else had this problem?

Yes I agree with your answer but sadly this does not seem to be the cause of the problem in my case as I always stop any running processes and double check with the list_requests.sql as provided and where necessary execute the deactivate_execution.sql and/or abort_exec_request.sql only if absolutely required. Finally I check again with list_requests.sql and if necessary run in the OWF_MGR schema: WF_PURGE.TOTAL and/or the following sql (again only if required) :

Can't find the servlets package when compiling

My problem is that when I compiling my servlets so can't the compiler find the two packages javax.servlet and javax.servlet.http.
Why?

It seems like it will work with your proposal to. But now I have a new problem that you maybe can solve for me. That is when I try to test the following (from the book More Servlets and JavaServer Pages):
Test 3: A Servlet That Uses Packages and Utilities
The final servlet you should test to verify the configuration of your server and development environment is one that uses both packages and utility classes. HelloServlet3.java is a servlet in the moreservlets package that uses the ServletUtilities class to simplify the generation of the DOCTYPE (specifies the HTML version--useful when using HTML validators) and HEAD (specifies the title) portions of the HTML page. Those two parts of the page are useful (technically required, in fact), but are tedious to generate with servlet println statements.
Since both the servlet and the utility class are in the moreservlets package, they should go in the moreservlets directory. If you get compilation errors, go back and check your CLASSPATH settings--you most likely forgot to include the top-level development directory. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: your CLASSPATH must include the top-level directory of your package hierarchy before you can compile a packaged class that makes use of another class from the same package. This requirement is not particular to servlets; it is the way packages work on the Java platform in general. Nevertheless, many servlet developers are unaware of this fact, and it is one of the (perhaps the) most common errors beginning developers encounter.
Once you compile HelloServlet3.java (which will automatically cause ServletUtilities.java to be compiled), put HelloServlet3.class and ServletUtilities.class in install_dir/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/moreservlets. Then, access the servlet with the URL http://localhost/servlet/moreservlets.HelloServlet3. You should get a simple HTML page that says "Hello (3)".

First let me disabuse of a misconception: All Adobe upgrades are FULL installers. Whether you buy them as upgrades or new versions does not make an iota of difference. The upgrade installers do not need to find a prior version installed, they just prompt you for the old serial number as well as the old one, and they do not rely on the old version in the least.
Second, the time to uninstall an older version is BEFORE upgrading to a newer one. Otherwise, the uninstaller from the older versions will mess up with your new install. There are a gazillion files that are named the same and in the same locations as the new one.
Your best bet now is to uninstall ALL the Photoshop versions you have installed, including the newest one, one by one, then run the Adobe CS Cleaner Tool, then run Repair Permissions from Apple's Desk Utility, and finally re-install the latest version.
The other alternative, if your boot HD is large enough (very doubtful in case of a laptop like a Mac Book), is to leave all versions on it.
Your choice.

Here you can see a shot of my /var/lib/pacman/local directory, containing just a few directories related to the packages above.
I have a lot more installed in my system, eg. the holl KDE system.
Is there a command/workaround to make these missing packages appear again in pacman?!

I think your signature is either too sarcastic, or too much in contrast with what you are posting here. A damaged database is really no big deal, and the only things that the proposed solutions attempt to do is that pacman re-installs a package (which changes close to nothing in your actual installation) and then write that update to its database.

Does anyone know what the music is for trailer Finish Line - my friends like it in the trailer and want it in the final version

I created a trailer for a bucks day using the Finish Line trailer - all the participants on the day want the music included in the final video. Does any one have any idea what it is?

You can find that .m4a file inside of the iMovie.app itself. <CTRL> click on the iMovie app in the Application Folder. Choose Show Package Contents. Inside that is all the templates, graphics and resources used by iMovie including the Movie Trailers. One of the items inside there is titled: SoundTrack-Action.m4a
The sub title of Finish Line is Action, and that's how iMovie names all the resources that go into the Movie Trailers. Similarly Road Trip is really called 'Blockbuster' internally by iMovie.

Getting the final internal table of a transaction VA05

Hi,
Not quite sure what you are after but the following may help.
For a start VA05 uses FM RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_VIEW_3 to select it's data. Your program could simply call this. However, if you are doing a CALL TRANSACTION from your program to VA05 and you want to get the results back then you could utilise some 'old style' userexits available in VA05.
Two choices here:
1. At the end of FM RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_VIEW_3 there is a form END_MODIFICATION or
2. When VA05 calls RV_SALES_DOCUMENT_VIEW_3 it performs a user sort MV75AFZ1(MV75AFZ1)
Both of these belong to package VMOD which means you can modify them by simply registering the object in OSS (these are 'old style' exits before SMOD/CMOD and are prevelant in SD)
From either of these you could EXPORT to memory for when control is returned back to your program.

How can DTExec show the execution package progress while running it in the DOS console?

Hi,
We need to view the package results/progress during the execution of the package by the DTExec command. Isn´t it possible?
The user can´t view the details for the execution by the GUI.
The package is deployed in the SSIDB (Catalog). The final idea is to Audit the result in a *.log file from the Batch we have created. We are not considering to use the "Logging" feature while designing the package. We expect to have same SSIS events
in the DOS console while executing it.
DTExec always says: To view the details for the execution, right-click on the Integration Services Catalog, and open the [All Executions] report
How could it be possible?

Hi Alex,
I don’t think it is possible to display the package execution details in the Command Prompt when we execute a package stored in the SSISDB catalog. Except for enabling the package logging, we have to view the execution details from the “All Executions” Standard
Report for the SSISDB Catalog.

I wanted to thank those of you who patiently answered my questions regarding the selection of an external monitor exclusively for photo image editing.
After pouring over numerous reviews & sorting through the myriad of forum threads, I have narrowed the field to 2 contenders: the NEC EA231WMi & the Dell U2410. Neither of these monitors are perfect & both have their strengths & weaknesses.
And regardless of my final selection, I will get an Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter.
As a final call for input, if anyone has any strong opinions regarding either of the above monitors, please let me know.

it would cost $20 a month more than you pay now for a device that will handle email and web 1000x better than your phone now...
Thats $240 more dollars a year for the ease and convince..
You should think more about how the data package will help you than how its just a random fee you get nothing for
I use my phone every single day of my life for emails, even if its just being lazy in bed, waiting at the doctors office, to view some foodnetwork while i'm shopping, watching youtube while my gf is trying cloths, checking stock prices while waiting for the daily meeting to start..... etc etc

I've set up a new MacPro QuadCore as an edit station, and I'm having some difficulty getting the Caldigit HD one to work with it. I'm still working with Caldigit on that.
Likely as a side effect of the machine hanging mid render several times due to the raid array going offline bad things are beginning to happen.
All capture / render / autosave files are set to the array, as are project files, so essentially nothing significant is being written to the boot drive.
However my boot drive filled up for no known reason, and when digging through with drive genius I noticed that the final cut pro application itself is now listed as 143.9 G.
Ahhh OK.
Do I have to flatten and reinstall or is there a simpler solution.
How in the world did the app itself get that big?
BTW DiskWarrior etc. report the hardware of the boot drive to be fine, the directory structure and permission to be good.

It has happened before that when the scratch disk does a disappearing act, FCP will sometimes stuff renders inside the FCP program container.
In the Applications folder, Right click on FCP and go to SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS. Once inside, start looking around for very large .mov files.
You can safely delete them.

We have made a game by using the engine of Unity. It is 38M in the local compression which art resources accounted for 20M while sound accounting for 1.3M。
when the game is released, we set the Universal armv6 + armv7 (OpenGL ES1.1 +2.0) option in the Target Platform parameters, we also set the Disabled options in the Stripping Level parameter, and the Fast but no Exceptions option in the Script Call Optimization parameters. But the final product package published in the appstore is 66.8M. We want to know the reason that the compression package is bigger than planned.

Stack two clips on top of each other and reduce the sizes. I think that's what you want.
