I got the messsage about half way through the uploading of an image. People suggested using "firefox" instead of IE so I now get a similar error message from Firefox. I signed in, clicked on the image I wanted to upload and hit "upload" and get message as follows:

None of this makes sense because I WAS connected to the internet (obviously) or I wouldn't have been able to sign in, go to my media basket, browse for the image and click "upload" and watch as the progress bar showed percentage of upload such as 20%, etc. and even went to 100% at times before giving me the error message. Plus I couldn't make a typing error since I wasn't typing anything but uploading an image. Any suggestions?
Whatever your suggestion, I need step by step instructions as I am totally computer illiterate. I don't even know what a "proxy" is and don't know if I have a "firewall" as the message suggests. I have "Comodo" security and am using Windows XP.
I contacted CP which was no help at all. All they did was tell me to clear my cache which I do after every session. Thanks

Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

As far as I know there is no download resource for older Macromedia programs and it is highly unlikely that one as old as version 3 of Fireworks will be able to work on a Windows 8.1 system. I was unable to get a Studio 8 version installation on a Vista system, and likely even an XP system (cannot remember that far back).

Following installation of OSX 10.8, the program cannot recognize the disk containing my Time Machine back-up

I made a Time Machine backup of my hard disk. before erasing the latter and installing Mac OS X 10.8. But now, the program is unable to recognize the disk containing my backup, and therefore I cannot use the Migration Assistant to recover my data. Is there a solution to this problem?

nothing here helped me. there is obviously a bug in 10.8.2. Due to other issues, I wanted to install a clean copy (not upgraded) of 10.8.2.
On a MBP running 10.8.2, I made a full Time Machine backup.
I erased the internal HD on the laptop.
I installed 10.8.2 from the App Store installer
When the installer rebooted, the install process continues, BUT
During installation, when asked to select a disc for restore, the installer spins but never sees the time machine backup.
I can see this disc and drag files from it when plugged into another computer (or when booting the MBP from an external HD) but the OS X installer process never recognizes my Time Machine hard drive and never progresses past the select disk for restore process (the disk NEVER appears).
The disc (FW) works fine plugged into other computers and worked fine before reinstalling 10.8.2. on a fully formatted hard drive.
Time Machine is WORTHLESS.
This advice from Apple is useless: "Open Time Machine preferences and reselect your backup disk. If you erased your backup disk and began having trouble, reselecting it may fix the problem." - how do you do this when you're restoring data to an erased HD?!?!?!

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

I have two forests with a transitive on-way trust between them: PROD -> TEST (test trusts PROD). I had previously had kerberos authentication working with winrm from PROD to machines in TEST. I have verified the trust is healthy, I also verified users
in TEST can use WINRM with kerberos just fine. Users from PROD cannot connect via kerberos to machines in TEST with winrm.
I have verified the service has registered the appropriate SPNs. I ran dcdiag against all my PROD and TEST domain controllers and didn't find anything that would prevent kerberos from happening. I even tried disabling the firewall entirely on my TEST dcs
but that didn't gain me anything.
I've enabled kerberos logging but only see the expected errors such as it couldn't find a PROD SPN for the machine, which it shouldn't from what I understand, it should go to the TEST domain and find the SPN from there.
I'm really out of next steps before I call PSS and hope someone here has run into this and could provide me some next steps.

I'm a little unclear about which SPNs you were looking for, in which case could you confirm you were checking that on the computer object belonging to the actual destination host it has the following SPNs registered?
WSMAN/<NetBIOS name>
WSMAN/<FQDN>
If you were actually trying to use WinRM to connect to the remote forest's domain controllers, then what you said makes sense, but I was caught between assuming this was the case or you meant another member server in that remote forest.
Also, from the client trying to connect to this remote server, are you able to telnet to port 5985? (If you've used something other than the default, try that port)
If you can't, then you've got something else like a firewall (be that the Windows firewall on the destination or a hardware firewall somewhere in between) blocking you at the port level, or the listener on the remote box just isn't working as expected. I
just replied to your other winrm post with steps for checking the latter, so I won't repeat myself here.
If you can telnet to it and the SPNs exist, then you might be up against something called selective authentication which has to do with how the trust was defined. You can have a read of
this to learn a bit more about selective trusts and whether or not it's affecting you.

Try a restart.
If that doesn't fix the problem, shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

I have the client scenario that, he is maintaining two depreciation areas. IT depreciation and book depreciation area. He is running AFAB as usually for all the assets. But for asset, he want to enter the unplanned depreciation in IT depreciation area not the financial accounting. (It should not effect the GL account, only for the reporting perspective).
Your suggestions are highly appreciable.

When you have multiple depreciation areas, use the "Reporting Depreciation area" where the Depreciation is not posted to G/L (OADB --- 0 Do not post to G/L) for posting the unplanned depreciation

I’m sorry to hear that the OKR (One Key Recovery) is not working as expected and displaying error message, this issue will occur if any changes are made in HDD (Hard Disc Drive) partition. Please let me know if you have made any changes in the partition space.

Mail keeps resetting when I close it. I delete an account and tell my notes not to show in the mailbox but each time I close the mail program or restart the computer the mail account comes back and the preferances reset.

I have deleted preferances. I deleted the account using the - sign in system preferances. I make the account inactive, close mail and relaunch and it is active. I have using the email and installed a new ssd system drive. I was able to change some of the mail program settings but then it just quit letting me change and save them. When I delete it in the mail program, it asks it I want to remove it for good, I say yes.
