I put office for MAC on my macbook air--it somehow shows up twice and documents load out there depending on which one you pick. I need to get all of the office installiations off and reinstall but it appears to leave one out there. When I go to applications I cannot see it but I can see it on the icon line on the bottom of the screen. How can I reinstall Office for Mac so there is only one installation on my computer ?

Unfortunately the information given to you by r8er is incorrect, deleting the Office folder from Applications only partially uninstalls Office.
Here are the correct uninstallation instructions for you.
And the icons at the bottom are just shortcuts.

I'm afraid that unless you are able to contact the previous owner and have him wipe the device, or provide you with his Apple ID password so you can delete the iCloud account, you are out of luck.
With iOS 7, an Activiation Lock was added to deter thieves. This lock prevents anyone but the owner of the device from deleting the iCloud account and restoring the device:

Unless you are able to reach the original owner and get the device wiped or the iCloud account deleted, you are stuck with a brick.

Remove the contacts from 'On My Mac' you don't have duplicates, you are looking at 2 accounts at once.

Sorry, but you are describing many different problems all in one go. Have you changed your FaceBook account and the passwords for all your email accounts ?
You say you have changed all the passwords for all the accounts you use, including your Apple/iTunes account if you have one. If this hasn't done the trick I suggest you restore your iPad to factory conditions, set it up again from scratch, and download the things you've paid for again. You will not need to pay for things bought through your iTunes account again.

How can share my location in just one group message?

If I enable location sharing and share it in a particular group message, my location is then shared with ALL group messages I have in my history. Not cool. Anyone know how to fix this?

I recommend trying these steps, first with the group message, and then with the contacts who are in the group message:
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact from the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.

I updated my printer driver but System Profiler still shows old version.

How can I force os x to use newest driver? My Brother hl2220 came with a driver version 3.1.3, but they showed an upgrade to 3.1.3b. I downloaded it and installed it, but System Profiler still shows 3.1.3 in use.

So you are saying the original DIMMs are there plus the ones you added, all were recognized before the repair but only the Apple-supplied after the repair.
Just trying to keep all of this straight in my mind.
In that case, you might try removing the DIMMs you installed and reinstalling, one at a time and see if they are recognized. If they are not, then they may have gone bad for some reason, who knows why, and it is time to look at the warranty you have from the people from whom you purchased the DIMMs.
If it was someone like Crucial or OWC (macsales) they are really good about their lifetime warranty.
If the warranty is lifetime, contact the supplier and see what the process is for replacement.
It is strange that both would work, and then fail. But stranger things have happened with computers.

You can't delete it. Look on all your screens and inside all your folders. If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so.

to reïnstall Mavericks on your 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, you can try booting into Recovery mode by holding down ⌘R as your MacBook Pro starts up. Eventually it will show an OS X Utilities menu on the desktop; select Reïnstall OS X from that menu, and follow the instructions which it provides to reïnstall it onto its internal disk.

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

This is a mystery. Both YouTube apps have different icons so they're not duplicates.
One is a picture of an old fashioned television and the other is the YouTube logo.
The old fashioned TV was able to be disabled in the ipod settings so that must be the one that belongs.
I'm pretty sure the other one also came with the unit.
Maybe I should start a thread?
