I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.

1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button
2. Safari > Preferences > Privacy
Press the button “ Remove All Website Data”. -
my ipod is not recognized by my latop and even not connecting to itunes. I also tried to connect to other laptop and it works. I think the problem is with the software, how to fix this? a big thanks.
Update: I tried the "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" after everything else either fizzled out or hung up. After going all the way thru the recovery process (up to 100%), I finally got an error message.....it didn't work. And now, when I fire up the computer, I don't even get to that menu with the recovery options....the only thing I can boot into is the screens with the various ways to run your OS (in "safe mode", "safe mode with networking", etc).
I'm not a techie, but I'm guessing at this point, the part of my hard drive that got damaged in the fall was, at the very least, the partition with the recovery data. Couple that with the fact that this cheapo Toshiba laptop didn't even come with recovery disk (or ANY kind of disk, even basic installation software!), I'm screwed: I don't see any way to get a workable computer now without some kind of disk to boot from. So NOW my concern is more about spending the $$ for a new OS and THEN finding out the hard drive has other problems too...is broken in some other way to boot.
How to check this? As I said, I did run "chkdsk" back when I could get into the recovery menu and run the fix-it programs. It didn't note any problems. Thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista (which I never liked), but I have to know that the computer is otherwise ok....how to be sure? Help!! -

If you have a SIM password on the device, you need to contact the carrier about that. However, if you are referring to unlocking the phone to enable you to use it with a different carrier's SIM, then you need to contact the carrier the device is locked to, see if they provide unlocking, and then see if you qualify for an unlock. Only the carrier the device is locked to can unlock the phone.

I tried to update my ipod but it didnt work and it turned off, it came up with the plug and the itunes symbol when i turned it on and thats all. So i plugged it in itunes and then tried to restore it but everytime i tried to restore it, it didnt work! So i took it to harvey norman, to see if they could fix it or restore it but they couldnt fix it . So, what should i do?
Without more information like what happens when you restore the iPod all I can suggest is:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i have ordered an i-pad and cancelled it the other day. I have used my indian debit for that order. So money got debited immediately. Apple has sent an email saying that it is successfully cancelled. But money is not yet credited into my account. please let me know what is happening. I cancelled the order on April 9th. Its already been more than 15 days.
Your best corse of action would be to either email apple support or ring them giving them your debit I'd and the order number where they will be able to look at what's wrong and set u going on the right track

I was trying to get the iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 5 but then it stopped and my phone is now on recovery mode I have pictures I need and they did not all fit on iCloud how can I use the phone again with ALL my pictures and videos without restoring it?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

In my first iPhone 5, the speaker didn't work and people could not hear me on Speaker phone when I used it. When I used the video recording it did not record sound at all only a hissing/static sound, no voice. I wished for a software fix. I did a hard reset, nothing. I did a full restore to factory settings not putting my backup on and the problem persisted.

My iphone 5 won't charge and it's in perfect condition, I dont drop it and it's not cracked. I tried multiple chargers, none of them are damaged and my outlets work with other things so the problem is my phone. What's wrong with it and what should I do? Please help me I need my phone for work.
Make sure there's nothing blocking a contact in the charging port of the phone.

I saw a message on screen : the activation server is temporarily not in use, the iPhone not activated.
Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it or after a few minutes and try again. -
When working in the basement for an extended period I get SOS message and have to turn my phone off and on before I can use it is this normal
when the phone detects the Optus network, this will automatically go out of the SOS mode.
The SOS mode allows you to call SOS numbers like 911 or 112 even if there is no network coverage.
What it does it tap to the next available carrier (regardless if this is your home carrier or not) to have the emergency call pushed through)
