The query just run the first time, the second doesnt run, i checked it in the SM50 and appear this msg:
CL_RSR_CACHE_BO_FF============CP
its not a problem of indexes, i repaired it but its really weird cause the first time the query run ok, the second doesnt, it seems that the cache is confused or i dont know, help guys, i'll really appreciate it

I was watching the notes, its really weird when i load the cube and execute the query for the first time, its ok, to the second stay in cache, but i was watching that the cube doesnt allow me activat the BD statistics, i dont know if this is necesary to improve the performance of the query, what i know is this:
1- before i create a Hierarchy for an infoobject thta is in the cube , the query used to run ok. Now when i load the first time and execute its ok, but the second stay in cache.
2- now i can activate the statistics for the cube, the indexes are ok, i checked for the RSRV and all is ok less the statistics.
what can i do help friends...

Sql query when fired for first time

Here is my query. I installed database and software using DBCA. Now i got connected to sql. Now my doubt is when I fired SELECT * FROM EMP from scott user, for the first time, what are the different steps followed to fectch the data. I mean how the user gets connected to the database and which background process works at what stages. Please give detailed explanation. Thanks.

When connecting to the database the client makes a request to the listener, and the listener checks the availability of the requested database service and responds to the client with an ACCEPT message, which indicates connection dispatching.
After that, the listener sends a RESEND message back to the client and uses this time to check the database service. The client recieves the RESEND message and sends the same request again to the Listener.
After recieving the ACCEPT message the connection is established, and this connection is different depending if you are using a Dedicated Server or Shared Server configuration.
When you issue the query:
SELECT * FROM emp;Oracle checks in the Shared Pool, in the Data Dictionary cache if the object exists and if you have sufficient privileges to access it (user Scott in this case). It then checks the Library cache if this statement has been executed before. If it did, another parse will not be necessary. Then the SQL statement is parsed (if necessary), interpreted and executed.
The DBRW (Database Writer) background process then checks in the Buffer Cache if the blocks which contain the information from the EMP table are already there. If they are, a physical read is not necessary and it fetches the rows from the Buffer Cache.
If they are not, DBWR reads the data files, retrieves the data from them, store the related blocks in the Buffer Cache (so in the next executions of this query a physical read will not be needed) and then the data is shown to the user.
There are other details envolved, but in a general view that is what happens.

Logging Issue (First Time Error, Second attempt success)- Please help

We have BO XI 3.1 SP2.We have developed a custom java sdk code for logging in. The code works in Dev and Test however the same code errors out when using another CMS name(Prod). Not quite sure how to troubleshoot the issue. Another note is first time when we pass the login values (System Name, User Id, Pass, Auth) it errors out and second time it logs in fine. This happens every time start of the application.
Here is the code that i am using and for the first time it gives the error message "Sorry - you could not be logged on to this server." +

Yes we do have Support and we are working with them to identify the root cause. Still no luck so far!!!
No. It does not redirect to Infoview page,once the logon is completed it redirects to a product selection screen from there it uses an open document to view webi report.
We have tried clearing all the cookies, history, temp files everything and start with a new browser the issue still remains. Well the logon page writes cookies however it does only when it can create an Enterprise Session.
Yes the Prod Environment is at SP2 Level. The Prod has been set up the same way as Dev and Test. Well the same code works in both the environments. Unsure how to troubleshoot to identify the root cause.
Any thoughts is greatly appreciated.

I bought a house in June 2013 for $232k. We haven't put it on the market but have had an offer for it for $290k and we've seen something we like today for $370k. Current balance on the mortgage is $170k. Gross W2 income last year was $98k, and a little extra from my side business which I need to get from my accountant. I just bought the MyFico 3 score report and my mortgage scores are 739, 725 and 716. Regular Fico scores it says are 743, 752 and 740. So if I remember correctly from 2 years ago they use the middle score, so I'm thinking it'll be around 725? 20% down on $370k is 74,000. Brokers fees on my house should be around $17,400 leaving me with roughly $100k cash, subtracting a couple of grand for other fees. My credit card debt is zero, only other debt is an auto loan, balance is approx. $42k at 0% with a monthly payment of $670. So, as I've never sold a house before a) Does my math look roughly correct? and b) Do I look good for a new mortgage loan of $296k? Thanks.

First Time Machine backup not the same size as my computers HD

I just completed my first Time Machine backup of my computer's hard drive. I have a 160 GB hard drive (actual capacity = 148.73 GB) with 145.43 GB used. I expected my backup to be the exact same size or darn near close. When I did a "Get Info" on the backup, its size was 62.11 GB. I looked through some of the files of the backup and it LOOKS like its all there but can't be certain of it. I would like to know the answer to this and PLEASE PLEASE DON'T give me the run around! IE: go see this page, go see that page, click this link, etc.! Just give me the answer straight up. I've already been looking all over this forum and at other Time Machine websites and have NOT found a good answer. I would REALLY appreciate just a straight up answer! Thanks!

When I run the same query for the second time it's faster, I want to reset this behavior

I am running a query in oracle 11g select A from B where C = ':D' B has millions of records.
The first time i run it it takes about 30 seconds, the second time i run the query it takes about 1 second.
Obviously it's caching something and i want it to stop that, each time i run the query i want it to take 30s - just like it was running for the first time.
The reason I want to reset this is because for testing purposes I want to measure this query at the very first time.
Please help.

No - you do NOT want to do that. Not if you want to get results that really represent how that query will work in reality.

Not sure where these hard disk folders are located that you are referring to? Finder, Finder tool bar, Finder side bar, Desktop, Dock?
More then likely they are an alias that not longer point to the orginals, thus the question mark.
I would reboot. Delete icons if an alias and just recreate by dragging from the source. Try right click (control) click to remove.

Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

Here is the screen shot, just the top half, there are another 10 pages, but I guess this should enough for you to have an idea of waht is going on, bit small I am afraid. No, I don't have any apps setup to run when I open my computer, the kernel, varies between 290 and 305 per cent ish.
Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.

Running reports in CMC is Slow (the first time)

when we first log into CMC - the report takes 10 minutes or more to run.
when you run it subsequent times - it takes less than 15 seconds...
what could be causing this unbearable delay the first time?
I've seen some people say that you should build a blank report that users can run first - that is not a solution....
Has anyone had a similar experience?

Check the same query on DB, notice how much it takes to run.
What might be happening here is, first time when it ran, that may be normal time it takes to run the report. After that, WEBI processing server (assuming you are running WEBI report) keep it in cache, so next time when it runs for the same data, it takes it from the cache, instead of querying the DB again. That is the reason, you see the results quickly.

so I send to the first one a number and a cluster which contains the objects references, so that it controls the "visible" property depending on the number,
and I send to the second one the previous cluster and an other cluster which contain the objects data, so that it controls the data depending on some parameters.
VI is better than explaination, so find it attached !
at the first time you'll run it, the error occurs, so click "stop" button, and run it again, no error, and you'll understand the way it works.
To fond the error again, just close it completely and re-open it.
(I built an example VI as close as possible to my real VI, and I get the same error, so I attached only the example)

Switching through PNG files at 10 fps causes flicker the first time it is run in firefox.

I have several hand-drawn animations where I cycle through png files at 10 frames per second. For several of them, no matter the size, the first time I run them in firefox(17) the images either flicker or do not appear at all during the animation cycle. I have not tested this in Chrome, but it works fine in IE9. I understand this just may be a bug in firefox, but is there a known work around to remove the flicker?

Rebooting the phone and the computer failed to remedy the calendar sync problem.

Easy solution for restoring lost calendar informaiton, thank goodness. On your iPhone, go to settings, then to iCloud. If your Calendar selection is turned off, turn it on. Your info should restore. If your Calendar selection is turned on, then turn it off. Choose to save calendars when asked. After it shuts the Calendar off, turn it back on. Your info should be restored.
Thank you to Apple support for walking me through this. Shame on you Apple for not just telling people about this easy fix rather than making us go through all of this pain and worry.

My clean install worked out alright, although I don't think it really fixed anything, rather gave me a couple more days of use 'till I have to send it in. Someone please help my get it running properly again...
