The replacement shipment of my iPod 1st generation did not arrive and I can not trace the shipment. Who can I contact?

I received an email that the replacement of my IPOD NANO was shipped. It was supposde to arrive at my address in France within two working days. Now, we are 4 weeks later and the shipment has still not arrived. There is a tracking number in the email but it does not have a link. I do not know which express delivery service is supposed to deliver. How can I verify the shipment? Who can I contact for help to track the delivery or resend the replacement product?

Thanks for the advice. I contacted the expresslane service and have to admit that it works very well. They call you back immediately! I have contacted them already three times: unfortunately, the first person gave me a wrong tracking information, the second person was "technical" and asked me to call during business hours. Number 3 was helpful and told me that the shipping by French postal service might take 5-6 weeks (and not the 2 days as announced in the e-mail I had received). So, I still have to wait and contact them again if the replacement iPod does not arrive in the coming days ... We will see!

    Hi my name is Juan Robles I recently enter to the 1st generation ipod program replacement, and they do send me a better ipod touch nano 8 gb 6 generation.
    but it doesn't charge, i let it charge for a hole day and I even try it with a usb cable and a wall charger and once you  disconected, it goes dead not even a blink... but if i plug it back to the cable it turn on very fast in less than 5 seconds.
    My question is do they support a replacement for the replacement they send me, it is less than 90 days of from the date of service.
    The Fedex box, the one with the replacement new ipod don't have the return address like the first one, the one where i send my 1st generation ipod. So any one  resolve a similar issue , i will love to have the return address. I allready try the thec phone support but they put me on hold for more tha a hour and nothing.

    My daughter has an ipod touch with alot of games and music on it. The computer it was synced to is forever gone and on her new computer some of the games dont show up along with her music. She is worried if she connects it to her new computer all will be lost. Is there anyway for this to not happen? The ipod is on its last life due to a cracked screen, and as for the games she has spent money on them such as smurf village and others. When i looked at game center on my phone about less than half of that game showed up. Is there anyway to fix these things before its to late and eveything is gone forever?

    I was listening to music one night last week and my 1st generation nano exploded in my hand and my first reaction was throwing it on the floor because i was too scared to react properly and when i saw that it was still burning i took the headset cable and i took it into the bathroom just because there weren't so much things that can burn from it...my whole apartment was smelling like it was the world war in there and i was so scared that i couldn't sleep that night. I want to make a complain but they don't have anything for my country...i also saw a replacement program as they said the first generation nano's from 2005-2006 had some problems (lucky me, exploded in my hand before seeing that) but also not available in my country. How can i contact them to tell them the problem?

    It merges several songs togetether and don't play them. I have tried to restore it. But it doesn't work.

  • Ive bought Avatar but when i drag it to my ipod the computer says  that my ipod is linked to another library, and to link it to the PC library i will loose vidoes on my ipod. I bought vidoes before and had no problem? Can some1 help???

    Also i cannot see any other library on the itunes account. There are no options to change which library i am connected to even if there was another itunes library. It will just be a waste of money other wise....gutted.
    I hope that makes sense. Ives tried for aaages to figure this out.

    Yes i've tried all of that. I've turned it all the way on and off and erased all of my music and put it back on and nothing works. And with the breaking up CDs and putting into compilation categories i have already fixed all of that stuff. It's fine it just doesn't show up in the list of artists. I can find the album in the songs category and the albums category it's just it doesn't show tha name of the artist. All of the other albums that i downloaded before i updated my itunes to th most recent update are fine. It's just the two that i downloaded afterwards. Thanks for trying though.

    Did you already try to set it up as new device, as explained in this article?
    How to back up your data and set up as a new device
    Maybe without using the latest backup afterwards, in case it contains corrupt data causing your problem.

    Same model, with same capacity. Only certain serial numbers qualify. If your iPod is registerred, you should have received an email from Apple.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

    Hi!
    My 5GB iPod 1st Generation's logic board finally gave out. I'm having trouble locating a replacement board. Does anyone know where to get a new or used one other than iFixit (out of stock)? I need one just like iFixit's: Complete with the firewire port, and a not chipped headphone jack.

    I may be in the same boat as you and I did Google 1st gen logic boards and didn't find much, except for WLM. They are pretty high. I thought maybe they would be cheaper for the really old ipods.
    I wrote a post about my own 1st gen 10gb ipod on how my dome imac no longer reads my ipod but yet it charges the battery. I replaced the battery on mine after it died thinking it would fix everything but it didn't. ipod plays music just fine, but i can no longer load anymore new music to it. So I checked into replacement logic boards. If I do not purchase a new logic board, I'll probably just buy a new ipod (I want to anyway)
