The video card Asus GeForce GTX 650 and GeForce GTX 750 are compatible with After Effects CC? An apology for my English.

I will buy one of the two, but I urge confirm if any of them will help me with Newest After Effects CC. Thank you very much.

This page lists the technical specifications for After Effects.
After Effects doesn't really use the GPU for much besides the obsolete ray-traced renderer (see here), so either one should be fine. Some third-party effects, such as Element 3d from VideoCopilot, make use of the GPU, but their requirements are different from AE's and if you plan to use them, you should check their requirements before you purchase.

  • Is Unicode Bangla Fonts and Unicode Bangla Keyboards are compatible with Mac OS 10.4.11?

    Hi,
Please let me know if those are compatible with my MB.
I also need to know the process or method of removing or uninstalling the bangla fonts and keyboards from the system. Please guide me.
I deleted few files in removing the fonts and keyboard layout, but the Unijoy and Rapali layouts remain in the input source. Is that gonna clash if i reinstall the fonts and keyboard layout again.
After removing the fonts and keyboard layout, I opened the preference pane, then i checked the box from the input menu, then i opened the MS Word to see if the fonts and layouts are removed properly or not, i thought i won't be able to type, but i was wondering that what files i removed.
Actually I was facing trouble in typing the Conjunct bangla words since the installations, conjunct words not working as per the typing guide says. That's why i tried to remove it and install again. Now i am confused.
I look forward to your help.

    Hi Omar,
I'm not familiar with hose but try thee steps...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Then open Fon't Book & Validate all Fonts & check for duplicates.

  • Is the GeForce GTX 760 compatible with After Effects CC?

    Hi!
The tech specs page doesn't have the 760 listed as a compatible Graphics Card, but will it still work.
Wouldn't it be better then the other listed cards?
    Thanks,
    Joshua Northeast

The GTX 760 and several other cards have been added to the list of cards that After Effects will use for GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer in the After Effects CC (12.1) update, coming in October.

  • Is AMD Radeon r7 260x or Nvidia Gtx 750 Ti compatible with my PC?

Hi, I have a dell inspiron 3847 with intel core -5-4460 @3.2 GHZ proccessor and integrated intel hd graphics 4600.  I think my power supply has 300 watts but I am not sure.  I was wondering if an AMD Radeon r7 260x graphics card or an Nvidia gtx 750 ti card would be compatible with my PC.  I know that the nvidia card uses less power but it costs 40 dollars more so if an amd card can go with my power supply then I will get that.  Any help would be appreciated thanks.

R7 260X requires much larger power supply.    750 TI versions may need secure boot turned off.
ANY card longer than about 8.1 inches is not going to physically fit into the case.

  • Is a 64 core machine running Microsoft's Windows Server compatible with After Effects CC and other CC apps?

I'm trying to build an editing / render machine that has a 64 threaded cores which requires me to use windows server.  Has anyone here ever try to run Creative Cloud on a Windows server 2012? Also, any opinions regarding effectiveness, compatibility, and thoughts about this set up is welcome, I would like to hear what you guys think.  This station will primarily be used a render station and to edit 4k video through a fiber network.

Well, since you asked: Makes no sense. First off, Adobe desktop apps are generally not officially supported on any server operating systems. That doesn't mean they won't run, but there's no guarantees for anything. Second, if you wanted to use all the cores e.g. for MP rendering in AE, you'd only have 2 GB per core, which isn't much. You will run into all sorts of memory errors. Of course you can skew the balance by using less cores/ processors, but then you don't need 4 processors in the machine in the first place. Also currently AE's MP rendering only allows to use 32 processes at most, anyway. Still, even then the file I/O required to sustain all those 32 instances would probably kill your system. Third, and now we are getting to a point, due to how many things in AE work, limitations imposed by CoDecs and effects and a million other things you may end up never using more than 2 cores on a single processor and things feel like on an Amiga. And well, similar considerations would be true for AME, Premiere and whatever other tools/ programs. Sorry, but this is a highly fictional "What if...?" computer or an Edsel. The way they currently work, no Adobe app could ever feed this beast and exploit all the performance. In fact for 4K work in Premiere you may need a totally different graphics system like a Titan. You simply have things completely wrong and are solely focusing on processing power without seeing the bigger picture. You need to sit down and think it over.

No, not really.... but a couple of tips...
    1) when you're pulling the old card out, remember there is a black plastic retainer clip at the inner (front of computer) end. I didn't notice that, and now it's broken.
    2) Get the 5770 from Apple, not a big box store.... those don't come with the power cable you need and may not work.
    3) Plug the power cable into the mother board (?) first. It's fiddly, especially if you have big hands.... then plug it into the card, then slot it into the computer.
There are demos on youtube, but they all seem to miss out the fiddly bits.....!

  • How can I confirm that my extensions are compatible with FF ver 4 and ver 5 before I upgrade?

When I have upgraded in the past I have been affected by extensions that do not work in the new version. How can I determine if my extensions are compatible with new versions. I have looked at knowledge base and other help but I can find nothing.

    Thanks, Forewarned is forearmed.
Checking my incompatible extensions now seems to be less than when I just casually reviewed the list. Perhaps authors are still updating their products.
Most of my incompatible extensions are not critical. Perhaps the most important is AARDVARK which I use extensive prior to printing bank statements.
    My incompatible extensions are:
    Aardvark
    Colourful Tabs
    Image ToolBar
    MS .NET Framework Assistant
    Quick Page Zoom
    Rewind/Fastforward Buttons

  • Video card issue - nvidia gtx 650 ti in a HP xw 4600

I am installing a nvidia gtx 650 ti into a HP xw 4600 running win 7.  At start up we are getting 6 beeps and no monitor output.
We tried the card in a different machine and it worked, so we know the card is good.  Any assitance would be appreciated!
We have upgraded the power supply to 600W thinking that was the problem, no joy.
    Any other thoughts?

    From the troubleshooting guide:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01973592.pdf
it's a pre-video graphics error - try to reseat the graphics card.
Well, I think you have done that already.
This is an office workstation designed for quadro graphics cards ...
Maybe you need a BIOS update:

  • My hp m8100n freezes so I want to replace the video card

I bought this computer a few years ago and lately it's been freezing a lot (pretty much freezes 5 mins after I turn it on). It's to the point where I have to press the power button and turn off the computer.  I'm actually not sure why but this tends to happen when I'm trying to watch videos online or just playing games (even solitaire).  I've updated all the drivers from the website and that doesn't seem to work.  I read on some forums that this is a problem with the video card so I want to replace it with another computer's video card but I know nothing about computers.
I'm wondering if anybody could tell me if I have to know anything before I go and plug in another video card. I know the m8100n video card is on the motherboard, do I need to disable it before I install the new card? or can I just put this one on?  I just don't want to break the computer.
The video card is ati radeon x1600 pro 256 mb and I'm pulling this from another computer in my house (that comp's dead so I'm pulling parts out and using it in other places).

    Hi,
    Many things can cause freezes.
If you are using a wireless keyboard and/or mouse then replace the batteries.
You might be having a heat issue.
    Try this procedure:
Unplug the PC and open it up. Clean out all the dust. Carefully remove and replace all the cables going to the motherboard one at a time. Do the same for the memory dimms and the video and sound cards if you have any.  You might want to buy a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the CPU heat sink and the system fan.  Plug your PC back in and give it a go.
Don't install the ATI Radeon x1600 pro 256 mb video card as it needs a bigger power supply compared to the 300 watt power supply in your PC.

  • Is it possible to change the video card of a pavilion g7-1075dx?

So, I have an HP Pavilion g7-1075dx Notebook with Windows 7. I'm an avid gamer and wish to play the newest games. However, there's one problem thats keeping me from doing so. Alot of the newer games require newer video/graphics cards. This particular laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. The newest games seem to require ATI Radeon HD 4850 and above. This is the only thing thats keeping me from playing games like Starcraft II on the highest settings OR in the case of Star Wars: The Old Republic, it almost keeps me from playing the game, period, due to the graphics being too much for my current card to handle, causing massive lag. I was hoping I could change the video card. Upgrade. However, i've heard that with most laptops or notebooks you can't upgrade anything other than the RAM. I'm hoping anyone on here can help me out and tell me if it is possible to get a new video card for my laptop. We don't have a desktop computer so this laptop is my only hope for a long time to play newer PC games.

Alright, let me put this in a simpler message: Does anyone know if it is possible to change the video card currently in my laptop, the HP Pavilion g7-1075dx, for a newer and better one. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 to ATI Radeon HD 4850 or higher.

    Hi Lionel,
As a general rule of thumb, the ATI Rage 128 Pro will not support a 20" LCD. That being said, there are reports of it doing just that (possibly the edition that went into the cube).
I'm not that familiar with the ins and outs of the Cube, so I can't give you authoritative information on it.

  • Can I attach an external monitor to my iMac G5 (ALS) if the video card is dead?

I don't know for a fact that the video card is dead, but the screen on my iMac (PPC/ALS) 20" gradually started flaking out over several months and is now dead. Computer boots up fine and I'm looking at it through target mode right now.  I want to keep using the computer if I can, so I am wondering if I can attach an external monitor through the DVI slot even if the video card is kaput.  I'd like to get an opinion or two on this before I buy a used monitor and cable.  Thanks!

You have found the answer. If the video chipset is OK but there is a fault in the internal display or its cabing, an external monitor will work. However, if the video chipset--which is farther "upstream" in the system--goes bad, the option of an external monitor is off the table.

  • Can I upgrade the video card in my 2009 iMac with the new ATI 2 GB VRAM card?

I am looking for more video RAM for video, CGI and animation work in Blender.
I may purchase Final Cut Pro X in the near future and I need to make sure there is enough video RAM to be able to work with this version of FInal Cut.
I, currently, use Final Cut 4 Express and though this runs fine, through Rosetta, on my current setup, I fear this much newer version may need more graphics power than I have, now.
I, also noticed some lag when working with Blender.
No where near as much graphics or video/animation lag as when I using Blender on my old G4m but it's still slightly noticeable.
I realize I may have to install this myself.
Can I purchase, somewhere, Apple's 1 or 2 GB ATI card seperately or from a third party vendor and install, myself.
I have seen posts that tell that the 27 inch iMac has a removable video card and is not soldered to the logic board like in the 21 inch models.
If true, is there a complete procedure for the iMac breakdown, installation of the video card and reassembly procedure?
My iMac only has the stock 256 MB VRAM graphics card.
If the take down looks more difficult than I feel I can attempt, I have an Apple authorized reseller, repair facilty here, in my area.
Could I purchase the card and have them install it for a fee?
ThanX for all of the info and advice, in advance
    Michel

You will need to check if your model originally was offered with a custom build option that included a different graphics card. If so, you may be able to have it done; here is a fellow who managed to do it on a 2011 iMac (graphics card not soldered) and the model originally offered a better card option:

    Is this yours:

In particular, click on the link in this section of the specs:
I'd check either with Apple and/or an AASP to see if it can be done with yours or if yours is one of those where it is part of the Logic Board/soldered to it.
