Theme 10 Calendar Template

I'm using the theme 10 calendar template.
I have found that any html entered within the "Non-Day Close Format" textarea of the calendar template is not displayed when the page is rendered.
Does anyone know if this is a bug?

Workspace: INSTIGATE
Username: FZAFAR
Application: 43872
If you run page 1 you will see that the text "This text is not being inserted when page is rendered." does not appear on the page.
If you go to the Calendar Template you will see that this text appears in the "Non-Day Close Format" textarea.
I assume non-day attributes are for days from previous/next month showing on the current month for completeness of the calendar square. I am further assuming that these non days should display there contents when the calendar is rendered??

    Shakeeb,
    I would like to use your theme 23 because it looks more professional in terms of developing Web applications. However, most of our users use IE 7 and IE 8, may I know if the theme 23 will cause any error in these browsers? I only noticed that all corners were not rounded in IE. Except that, will there be other issues in IE?

  • I am using the big date calendar template and when I submit it to apple for printing I lose the name of two months. These names are not text boxes. I see the names when I send it in but something happens during the transmission to apple. It was suggested

    I am using the big date calendar template in iPhoto. I am on Lion 10.7.2, macbook air. The names of the months are on each calendar page but something happens when I send the data to Apple. The names are part of the template. They are not text boxes. I lose two names on the calendar after it is sent to Apple. Apple suggested I make a pdf file of my calendar before sending it in and check to make sure every name shows. I did this with a calendar I just sent in. The calendar was correct. All names of the months were showing. After sending the data two month names disappeard because when it arrived by mail, it was incorrect. Apple looked at my calendar via a pdf file and it was incorrect.  This is second time this has happened. I called Apple and they had me delete several folders in the Library folder, some preferences and do a complete reinstall of iPhoto.  I have not yet remade the defective calendar. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
    kathy

    Control-click on the background of the view all pages window and select "Preview Calendar" from the contextual menu.
    You can also save the pdf as a file to compare to the printed calendar.  If the two names are visible in the pdf file then the printed copy should show them.  Contact Apple for a refund.  Apple Print Products - Apple Store (U.S.)

  • 2009 Calendar Template

    Is it just me, but it's hard to find 2009 Calendar template for Illustrator. I need a 12 by 12 or 11 by 8.5 folded template. I don't mind if it for a price, any idea here I might be able to find it?
    Thanks in advance.

    A thing that many people don't realize is that the vertical date columns of a calendar are always the same, i.e. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and so on.
    You can often save yourself a lot of work by setting up your calendar in vertical text-box columns like this, usually right-justified. Use snap to guides for accurate positioning and spacing. Then when making new months the only thing you have to do is to swap the columns around, sometimes adding a return to the top line of a column depending on what weekday the month begins on.
    You can make complete sets of all possible month arrangements with the first of each month in each of the seven day-positions.
    After that it's just a question of copy/paste, remembering how many days are in each month and finding out when public holidays are so that you can colour them red or wotever.
    I've done a lot of calendars using this method and it's a very handy way of going about things.

  • Calendar Template Curiosity

    Hello all. I have been beating my head against the wall with this one. The new Numbers is certainly a mixed bag. Personally I love it but there are some features that I'm sure most of us wait, with bated breath, to be built back into the program.
    I learn a lot about the mathemagical inner workings of the spreadsheet by reverse-engineering the Apple-supplied templates to learn good practices and pick up some tips and tricks. But this week I cam across something of a conundrum.
    One of the new templates included in both the OS X and iOS versions of Numbers is this Calendar template. It's elegant, simple and the formulae are purposeful. But in picking it apart and rebuilding it I noticed the Month pop-up cell must be formatted in a peculiar way or something. When I set out to remake this sheet, it was one of the first cells I made and formatted. A simple pop-up with the months of the year listed. But as soon as I began typing in formulae, I noticed it produced an error in calculations. I checked and re-checked everything looking for trailing or leading spaces in my value list for the pop-up formatting.
    So I performed a simple test.
    I made a new table with two pop-up cells. Each with the names of the months; January is listed through December. One is a copy and paste from the original Apple template and the other is my own pop-up. Both are formatted properly and identically. In a cell below I created a formula (IF A1=B1, "Yes", "No") to test the actual values driving the calculation. Without knowing what it is that causes it, the test shows the Apple's January ≠ my January. As soon as I copy and paste another one of Apple's month pop-ups into that cell, then and only then does A1=B1.
    Would anyone care to investigate this template and help me understand what is causing the inconsistency?

    Badunit,
    Nope.  That did not help.   The OP already narrowed the problem down to a simple test (shown in my previous post).  In cell A1 is the pop-up copied from Apples template.  In cell B1 is a self-made pop-up formatted to look the same.
    Cell A2 has a test to indicate whether the two are equal.
    A2=IF(A1=B1,"Yes","No")
    Oddly enough they are not.  I was able to get them to be the same if I modified the formula to:
    A2=IF(A1=CLEAN(B1),"Yes","No")
    So there is "stuff" in the self-made pop-up that is not in the Apple-provided pop-up.

  • Calendar Template

    I am looking for a calendar template I can use in either Pages, Numbers or Keynote - surely there is one somewhere?

    Smile. Don't worry about that ...
    As of now, though, I can't open it. Did you use
    iWork '06 ?
    D
    I did use iwork'06. Oops... There is now an update on the same page that includes a copy saved as an iWork'05 file which you should be able to open in Pages 1. There are a few limitations where the tables no longer use forumlas and the scaling and mask on the image placehold does not carry across to replacement images, but it should work for your needs.
    Sorry for the delay.

    I am looking for a Monthly Calendar Template to setup monthly cleaning floor clenaing?

    Hi;
    I don't think that any of the Templates FormsCentral provides fits your request, but you can explore all of the Templates using a Free account.
    If you can describe a little more of what the form needs to do I can see if I have any ideas about how to you could create it.

  • Exchange 2003 Calendar Template Issue

    Users are getting "This message has been rejected by the Exchange organization to which it was sent, because the message contains either a large number of attachments or because there are too many
    nested attachments. To solve this problem, reduce the number of attachments or nested attachments, and resend the message."
    We have a shared mailbox with a published default calendar form that has "checkboxes" in it.  The form does not have any nested emails.  The size of the form is about 307kb.
    When the users click on an the calendar to add an appointment, then send the apt out to various users, the form gets corrupt.   I think it's related to the various Outlook versions we use.   My environment:  Exchange Server 2003, users
    that use "Tasking" templates are on Outlook 2007 and all other users are on Outlook 2010.   The calendar templates are created in Outlook 2010 so I'm wondering if the Outlook 2007 clients are having trouble "reading" the templates.
    UPDATE:  I created the templates using Outlook 2007 and still experiencing random "bounceback" messages:
    "This message has been rejected by the Exchange organization to which it was sent, because the message contains either a large number of attachments or because there are too many nested
    attachments. To solve this problem, reduce the number of attachments or nested attachments, and resend the message."
    Example:  User sends out a test message to 3 people.  All 3 people get the original message.  When the original person tries to send an update (like changing the time of the meeting), the user will get the bounceback for above.
    The user then sends out a cancelation and some of the users get it and some don't.   Very strange and unpredictable.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  We are wanting to move to Exchange 2010/2013 but the non-support of our tasking features is holding up our upgrade.

    Hi,
    I recommend you check if there is the same issue when using owa mode.
    Thanks.

  • Deciphering web themes: the html templates; expanded reference.

    the html templates.
    RKID attributes:
    Aperture uses proprietary ids within the html documents to identify the parts it needs to play with. These ids are 'rkid' ids. for example,
       <ul id="nav" rkid="navbar">
    These are the rkid values that I've identified so far:
       "navbar"
          a <ul> element containing all of the navigation elements.
       "active" and "inactive"
          rkid attributes to enable the coder to place different formatting on
          current and non-current page numbers in the navbar.
          eg; <li rkid="active"><span class="currentPage">PageNumber</span></li>
             <li rkid="inactive"><a href="IndexPageURL_">_PageNumber</a></li>
       "content"
          a <div> containing all of the album images and their metadata.
       "pictureblock"
          a mandatory <table> in which the images are placed, one image per <td>.
          the <table> must even be used on the Detail page where only one image is
          displayed.
          the metadata will be within the "pictureblock" table if more than one
          image is displayed so that the metadata can be tied to the image. if
          only one image is displayed; i.e., the Detail page; the metadata may be
          in a <td> outside of the table that the image is in but still within the
          "pictureblock" table, usually in the following format:
             <div rkid="content">
                <table>
                   <td>metadata
                   <td><table rkid="pictureblock">
       "image"
          the rkid for the <img> elements containing the album images, frequently
          placed in <dt> elements within the table's cells.
       "titleblock"
          a <div> containing the title text; usually <h3>; for Journals. the <h3>
          element within this element must be given the attribute rkid="text" or
          Aperture will ignore it.
       "textblock"
          a <div> containing the description text for Journals. as with the
          titleblock, the <p> element/s within this div must be given the
          attribute rkid="text".
       "text"
          the rkid given to the text data within the titleblock and textblock
          elements.
    Place holders:
       PageTitle
          used in the <head> of the html. it's made up of the Album/Journal's name plus a page number. eg; "My lucky album - Page 1".
       IndexPageURL
          the gallery page/s URLs; may be more than one.
       ThumbImageURL
          the href links for the images, whether thumbnails or detail full size.
       DetailPageURL
       used within navbar:
          PageCount
          PageNumber
          PreviousPageNumber
          PreviousPageURL
          NextPageNumber
          NextPageURL
          PageCount the total number of pages
          PageNumber includes all of the page numbers listed in the navbar, one
             occurrence for each page.
          _Previous and _Next are more specific and are currently used to draw the
             prev/next arrows in the navbar.
       ImageName
       ImageNameSpace
       PlateNameSpace
       PlateNumberSpaceSlash
          *only seen* when 'Enable Plate Metadata' option in the tag popup menu is
             chosen.
          used to represent an index of the image in the album. the first image
             shown gets the index 1, the second 2 and so on.
          for the Image placeholders, the word 'Image' is used.
          for the Plate placeholders, the word 'Plate' is used.
          space indicates an extra space after the index, probably for html
             formatting purposes because it's only used within <dt> elements.
          slash indicates an extra / character after the index.
          examples:
             ImageName > 'Image 1'.
             ImageNameSpace > 'Image 1 '.
             PlateNameSpace > 'Plate 1 '.
             PlateNumberSpaceSlash > '1 / '.
       metaname
       metavalue
          the placeholders for all of the metadata names/values in the selected
          metadata set.
       PageWidth
          not sure if Aperture calculates it based on the width and number of
          images being displayed in both gallery and detail pages.
          don't know why it's only used in the Special Occasion theme.
       CellWidth
          the width of the table cells containing the album images. not
          necessarily the width of the images. may include margins as specified in
          the albuminfo.plist files.
       ImageWidth
          the width of the image.
       TableWidth
          the width of the pictureblock table. it can probably be applied to other
          elements too but it's length is almost certainly calculated from the
          pictureblock table.
    Operative attributes:
       removeonfirstpage="yes"
          used in the navbar to remove the Prev link from the first page.
          because it's applied to the <a> element, the <a> element is removed
             while leaving an empty <li> in place.
       removeonlastpage="yes"
          used in the navbar to remove the Next link from the last page.
          because it's applied to the <a> element, the <a> element is removed
             while leaving an empty <li> in place.
       removeonsinglepage="yes"
          used in the navbar to remove elements when there's only one page.
          used in a <div> in the Art Collection to remove the whole navbar on
          single pages.
       contenteditable="yes"
          used in text elements to indicate that the user can customise the text.
          not necessary in titleblock and textblock rkid="text" elements.
       common="yes"
          the element is seen on all pages.
    Other attributes:
       metaseparator="|"
          used in metadata formatting, within the metadata lists.
       metalayout="paragraph"
          used in metadata formatting, within the metadata lists.
       singlenesting="yes"
          used in metadata formatting. not sure what it does yet.
       textid="x"
          used to id text elements outside of the titleblock and textblock
          elements.
          possibly no limit to the number and id names used.
          examples used:
             textid="copyright"
             textid="header1"
       picturename="x"
       pictureimage="true"
          picturename gives the image an id.
          pictureimage="true" tells Aperture that the image is a static image
          which can be designated by the user during setup of the album. they show
          up in Aperture as grey blank rectangles with cross-eyes in the middle.
          they do not need to be inside the "content" element
          with picturename and pictureimage, we can place as many static images on
          the page as we wish.
    Assertions:
       Aperture uses the rkid values to identify the areas of the html to be
       repeated for the respective objects.
       standard id and class attributes are only used by the css for formatting and
       not by Aperture to write the html data.
    Notes:
       Aperture is hardcoded to expect and require that the album images are always
       within a <table rkid="pictureblock"> element. it is not possible to place
       album images outside of the table. all album images must be placed within
       <td> cells within the table. the <td> code is repeated for each image.
       image metadata is also normally within the rkid="content" element although
       it can be outside of the rkid="pictureblock" element.
       by default, the textblock rkid="text" element is added when the T+ button is
       pressed within Aperture. the textblock element is switched with the
       titleblock element when the Title/Text toggle button is clicked.
       width and height attributes of <img> elements are rewritten by Aperture
       based on the inserted images. placeholders aren't necessary within <img>
       elements.
       comments are stripped from the html before export some but some
       Aperture-proprietary attributes are forgotten and left behind.
       some pages use the html 4.0 loose doctype. others use the xhtml 1.0 strict
       doctype.
       all markup is converted and exported in UPPER-CASE. personally, I prefer
       lower-case.
       high-ascii characters entered by the user are not converted to their html
       entities when available. eg, the © character.
       multiple <p> elements can be inserted into the titleblock and textblock
       <div> elements but each of them must have the rkid="text" attribute. any
       element without this attribute will be ommitted by Aperture.
       the reason there are Smart Galleries but no Smart Journals is because you
       need to write text between each row of images.
       titleblock and textblock elements will not be applied to Galleries or Detail
       templates; only to Journals.
       if there are more than one titleblock or more than one textblock, only the
       first will be used by Aperture.
    Questions:
       are there variable scopes with each rkid? eg, within the "content" rkid, can
       every variable/placeholder be accessed?
       why did the Aperture team use Definition List <dl>, <dt>, <dd> elements for
       the images and related metadata in the table? easier css formatting?
