THERE IS A DISPLAYING PROBLEM in 11i ONCE I've exited my created form

Dear all,
The created form did work properly in 11i, but once I've exited it, the color in 11i faded and I just could not work any more there. I would need to open another 11i session to continue my work.
Thks & Rgds,
Edward

Edward,
not sure if someone here on the forum does run Forms in the context of Oracle Applications, which is why I sugegst to try one of the Applications forums too.

  • Is firefox going to contimue pretending that all the problems are answerable is a few gems of technical jargon? There are no big problems--such as the download of firefox 4 creates problems??

the details are in my last email to you, about 5 minutes ago.

    See:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

  • Firefox display problems

    Hello all,
We're using Flash Paper 2 to make some extra documents
available in external HTML pages from a flash site.
These work fine in all browsers except for Firefox where only
the top half of the document is visible - it's all functional, but
    there's some display problem
    thanks for any ideas

I am having almost the same problem that Jon reports. I have
made a PDF using the FlashPaper 2 that came with Studio 8. When the
link to this PDF is clicked in MSIE 6 or NN 7.1, the PDF displays
normally. When I do the same in Firefox 1.5.0.6 the PDF never
finishes loading and never displays at all. Oddly when I click a
link to view PDFs created through other means, they display
normally in the Adobe Reader plug in for Firefox. So this appears
to be a problem that is unique to PDFs produced with FlashPaper 2
when the viewing is attempted in Firefox. Two of the three pieces
of software, FlashPaper and Reader, are Adobe products, so I hope
that someone at Adobe will take ownership of this problem and find
out what needs to be corrected.

  • G570 display problem

    HI,
Got my G570 just over 2 years ago with minor problem through out the times but 3 days ago there is a display problem which I am unable to fix.
watching you tube and it crashed suddenly, BSOD, and showing all error and dump memory count down etc.
power up the computer again with only a blank screen, no lenovo logo, window logo etc
can hear it boot into window but just didn't show anything. Is it something I can fix personally or does it require some major work?
    Thanks all in advance.

    Hi Coolcold,
I’m glad that the issue is resolved, as this step resetting the RAM was not suggested initially in the post because if the computer has any type of extended warranty it will get VOID. As informed earlier any dumping blue screen issue is related to RAM as its flash memory becomes full and starts dumping the data packets. Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!
    Cheers!

Hello My ipads Power button is not working properly when I press it once it shows option to turn off instead of locking and some other display problems like it suddenly lockes down or display disappears ...Please help. Thank You

    Thanks for that information!
I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

  • Hello to all: My iMac has developed a video display problem. It displays everything in cartoon like colors - purple, green, blue. Can this be repaired? Is there a way to output to a different monitor? Thanks in advance!  isplays

    Hello -
My iMac has developed a video display problem. Everything now appears in a strange, cartoonish way. Purples, greens, blues. Can this be fixed, and if so, any idea how much it might cost? Also, could I output to a seperate monitor? I plan to replace the unit , but cannot right now. Thanks!

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing.
In the Display area, reset it to "Black on white" by clicking that checkbox.
You can also reset it by pressing Command-Option-Control-8

  • N93 Display Problem

    Hi guys:
I'm posting this message in hopes that someone out there will be able to give me a hand with my N93.
I'll start the story RIGHT from the begining and in future will send people back to this location to read it as I'm fed up repeating it to different people.
Approx 1 month ago, my sister received some fans on eBay she had bought, but was away, so I thought I would take a pic and MMS it to her. I turned the phone into photo mode and took the a couple of pics, then chose the send picture icon from the camera screen. It went into the MMS editor, so I then turned the phone back to portrait mode to start to type in some text. Here's where the problem started. The phone I thought had got 'stuck' in landscape mode. So I thought I'd do a restart. The outside screen turned on, displayed Nokia, then the internal screen turned on, the Nokia hands with the familiar ding ding ding ding ding. Finally - to the active standby screen. Cool I thought, just a glitch. I work in IT, I know these things sometimes happen. A couple of seconds later, the screen rotates landscape again but opens up the camera. I think it must somehow have remembered I had the camera open before, so ignore this and exit the camera application...The screen stays landscape. OK - so I want to send the picture to my sister, I'll struggle texting with the display in landscape. I go to the Images folder on my memory card, and then send via mms. Again the MMS editor opens and I start to try to type in some text. The keypad doesn't work again. Whats going on??! Perhaps one of the apps I had installed had messed it up (at the time only the Gmail, Google Maps and Opera 4 Beta), I'd to a full reset - so I tried, but I couldn't enter the pin code as the keypad didn't work. I'd updated the firmware a few months previous to all of my problems and, I had backed everything up so I thought I would try again. I connected up the N93 to my PC, downloaded the phone software updater and started the process. It wasn't as scary as it was the first time I did it as its a relatively pain free (or what I thought painfree) process. It recognized the phone, downloaded the update then started to install. Nothing to do now but sit back and wait for it to finish. About 5 mins later panic set in...The firmware updater told me an error had occured. It suggested removing the battery and power cable on the phone, then put the battery back in and the power cable back in and reconnect the USB cable. So I did it. Once again the firmware updater recognized the phone, and proceeded to install the firmware again. 5 mins later, the same thing happened. I tried what it suggested again, but same problem. Damn! I disconnected it, left it a while and tried again, but didn't have much faith. Yes, it did it once more. So now when turning the phone on, it did nothing. The external screen lit up, but no Nokia logo. So I was thinking perhaps the phones ROM couldn't find a boot image as it hadn't been written properly. I browsed the Nokia website for a local repair center and took it there. I explained what had happened, and they said that it was covered by a 25 month warranty. I got it in September 2006, and was covered until November 08. Great I thought, they took down my details and then asked me to phone the following Monday to see the status of the repair. I called up to find out if my phone was ready, it was. Hurrah I thought, they'd somehow forced the firmware to load. I asked when I could collect it and they said at lunch time. So I asked if it was fixed, 'No sir, the engineer has stated that there is liquid damage and is therefore not covered by the warranty'. ??! So we've gone from a software problem to a hardware problem now. I go back to the store during my lunch break and collect my phone. I ask to speak to the engineer who looked at the phone. I asked him to show me the liquid damage. He removed the housing from behind the main display and pointed to something. OK - so I'm no phone technician but I couldn't see anything. He states that it probably got wet some time ago, but water is like acid and doesn't break the phone immediately, but over time. He's bullsh*tting me now...I try to keep calm as the closest my phone has ever come to water was when I left it in my bag on the shore when diving one day. It has been my pride and joy for so long I have kept it in very good condition and away from anything that could have damaged it. Besides - this was a software issue initially...why on earth did he have to open the phone up in the first place? Surely he could see that yes, the phone turned on, but couldn't see any firmware to load and just sat there? Oh they do it to cover themselves. Ok I thought, perhaps they do check as not everyone is so honest when they send in their phones. So anyway - I get the phone back and its useless to me again.
A co-worker who went with me to pick up my phone can't believe what he is hearing either. He then offers to take my phone to another repair guy he once used who was very good. He looks at it, and tries to reinstall the firmware but no luck. He sends it 30 miles away for one of his co-workers to look at, he tries to reinstall the firmware, nothing.
Finally - thinking my phone is a brick, I look on the Nokia website once more for some help. There is a freepost repair service that I can send my phone to for Nokia to fix. Brilliant - Nokia will know what to do! They'll see its a firmware issue, they'll reinstall the firmware. I phone them up to ask if my reinstalling the firmware and it failing would constitute voiding the warranty. The guy on the end of the phone states that no, sometimes it happens, but its 'most likely to be down to virus' on the PC and they get into the phone and cause problems'...As I stated earlier, I work in IT and have done for the last 9 years since I left school. I'm not saying I know everything about everything, but I know that PC Virus' can be transported from PC to PC via a phone if there was say an infected file on it, but a PC virus onto a phone? Come on! Its a different operating system and its a completely different architecture!!! I'm doubting any virus code designed for x86 PC's would run on an ARM chip. So I decide to sent it off anyway.
So - the reason I'm posting this, is because yes Nokia did kindly reinstall the firmware. Hurrah I thought. But after a few seconds, the screen flips to landscape. It seems the original problem is back again. AND they have printed out a photo with an arror pointing at some resistor or something and a lable stating liquid damage. Now either the Authorized Repair Center updated some database I don't know about stating that my phone had a problem and how to find it, or they did look at the phone and find the this 'liquid' damage.
I just can't see how they say its liquid damage. I've been so careful with it. I can't see how its been working flawlessly since I received it last September to all of a sudden refuse to rotate the screen to portrait and for the keypad to stop working.
OK. so the question I'm asking is...Is there anyone out there that can look at this video:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8twaFYswu0
And give me any advice what to do except put it on eBay for spares. It looks like the S60 OS is booting up now, but there is some app that is launching at startup to activate the camera, then not gracefully quitting the app once you choose Exit. I can't seem to find any way to browse the filing system on my phone except the File Manager which doesn't show hidden files. I also can't install anything on the phone at the moment as whenever I try to transfer any software over via bluetooth it ask for a passcode and....you've guessed it....the keypad doesn't work, so I can't do it that way. I've tried doing it via USB but I get permission not authorized when I copy over any .sis or .sisx files.
    Thank you for reading!
    Rich

I've got a similar problem with my N93. It occurred on Sat 29th September.
I was using the phone in camera mode and then flipped it round to close. Since then it will only display in landscape and the camera modes no longer function.
If you reboot, then for a brief few seconds it starts up in Portrait mode and then rotates to the landscape mode.
The phone is pretty much useless to me in this state.
    Any ideas?

  • Windows 7 64 bit on iMac display problems and instability

I received my iMac 27" quad core with 8 gig ram & 2 x 1 TB hard drives last Friday. I'm using Boot Camp to run windows 7 64 bit on maximum 2560 x 1440 screen resolution.
I get intermittent but often display problems in windows 7. I get areas of the screen covered in little yellow dots or blue squares (never red artefacts.) This will happen at random areas of the screen, inside an open window, around borders of windows and so on. Most often the screen will go black and come back with a message in the bottom right corner of the screen saying 'Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered' with the sub message saying 'display driver ATI radeon family stopped....etc'. Sometimes I lose the screen wallpaper. Once I've had the system just shut down, once I've had Photoshop seize up and I had to do a cold reboot. Could this be an overheating problem or resolution too high problem or driver problem? Windows 7 tells me my drivers are up to date. I tried installing the drivers for the card from ATI's website which made no difference
The reason I bought a Mac is because it's the only effective way to code for the Mac family of OS's in XCode. The reason I didn't just attach a miniMac to my PC monitor was because there's rather a lot of advertising by Apple about the fact that you can use a Mac with a PC OS via Apple's own Boot Camp. Now I have a lot of Windows software (some of which is not available for the Mac or requires buying again) sitting on an unstable system. Any ideas would be much appreciated...

Sorry, that thread got moved for edit and as a user tip... which I didn't want and won't be doing....
    Here is the post:
A tip and workaround for how to get ATI mobility/laptop drivers so that Windows no longer thinks the ATI is a desktop card:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11286987
    Summary (my own edit steps):
    1. Install Boot Camp 3.0 and upgrade to 3.1
    2. Uninstall graphic drivers and run Driver Sweeper
    http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
    instead of:
removing the crashing driver by going into windows 7 setup via its install cd and deleting the ati driver manaully
    3. Install ATI Mobility (link)
    4. Uninstall ATI (Programs control panel?) Device Manager (rollback; uninstall?)
    5. Device Nanager: update driver and BROWSE BACK to 8.681 (the original apple driver that was causing freezes and purple artifacts) - navigate to /Apple/Drivers/ATI
(Apple uses) a 4850 card in the iMac, its modified a bit for apple. Enough that desktop drivers don't work, and modded-for-laptop desktop drivers don't work either.
Now the upshot of using modified drivers is that it FORCES the catalyst control panel to be installed, meaning you get a few more options to mess around with the card.
I couldn't use the original apple drive, it locks up, the newer one had banding, the newer radeon drivers direct form ATI wouldn't work until they were modded and then they cause black screens.
SO the solution, as obscure as it was, was to download ACTUAL mobility Radeon drivers - version 10.3 still, but made for laptops.
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
THESE drivers I was able to install - and here is where things changed.
THIS driver changed they way windows saw the video card in device manager.
As I mentioned before, its NOT a desktop card, its a modified laptop card, but installing mac drivers makes windows THINK its a full desktop card, and running the original 8.681 driver crashed it.
Once installed 10.3 LAPTOP driver it now appeared in device manager as a MOBILITY card.
    +These Steps "should" work:+
    delete ATI driver manually
reinstall apple driver after that and see if that works,
    otherwise try the steps above
(mod drivers, remove via windows recovery off setup disk, install laptop drivers, reinstall apple driver over it)

  • Ever seen this display problem? (pictures inside)

After playing Team Fortress 2 in Windows XP off Boot Camp for an hour or two, I restart my computer back into OSX to find my screen looking like this:
    http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6320/0830091006.jpg
When it should look like this:
    http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5779/0830091007.jpg
It is fixed by resetting the PRAM on restart (holding, alt + apple key + P + R before apple icon appears on start up.) It goes away every time... but I'd like for it to never happen because I feel like resetting my PRAM once every few days is not good for my Macbook Pro.
I looked through the display anomalies thread, but could not find any pictures of people's display problems looking like mine. Although, I think it may have to do with what was plaguing other people... which is overheating?

I think I found something similar:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7210908#7210908
The anomaly there looks very similar, and the cure seems to be to reset the PRAM. Something you have already figured out to do.
If you had the later graphics chip, you would be covered by this program:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
However, there is no such program for your graphics chip as far as I know.
There were some speculations that the problem was worse in some versions of Leopard than in others, but I think nothing was ever definitive. Heat could be a factor if you had just finished a processor intensive activity like a game. Have you tried letting the Mac cool down before restarting in Mac OS X?
A true graphics chip problem should affect both Windows and Mac OS X, and this one seems to just affect Mac OS X for some reason. So my guess is that the chip itself is OK.
Don't know if this is much help, but you're not alone.
    Good luck!

  • Display problems in Mail messages with image attachment

Issue: Seeing intermittent display problems in Mail messages with image attachments
Annoyance level: minor, but Apple techs need to pass it along
Details: Regardless of mail client sending to iPhone (Outlook, OWA, Yahoo, Gmail) there are intermittent and what appear to be random occurrances of the pic being half rendered and/or the pic never loading (followed by message saying it can't be retrieved from server). In some instances the picture then appears fully rendered without a problem. Note: Image sizes varied from 14KB to 450KB

    Hi,
I'm not familiar with C#, but if possible try the following:
    1. Removing all thead and tbody tags from the body of the message.
    2. Changing all inline CSS to embedded CSS.
I've seen a user said the message stopped showing up after making the changes.
If the issue persists, please note, since Outlook 2007, Outlook opens the HTML Email and converts it to Microsoft Word format before displaying it to the user. What happens during this process is that many CSS attributes and HTML support is completely removed.
Some of the most notable absences are background-image, and padding and margin support. Hardly can we do much about this, so the message "If there are problems with how this email is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser" is actually
a good workaround when we face this problem.

  • Timeline Display problem

I am stumped and so is everyone I know. I have several clips that do not work properly once I place them onto the timeline.
The audio plays fine but the video doesn't. All it shows is a single frame. The footage works fine in the Viewer but not in Canvass once i have placed it into the timeline. It seems to be a problem with _only a few of the clips._ Most of them work just fine. The video plays in the timeline for a while but once it comes to a cut where the source comes from one of these clips it shows only a single frame.
Here is the kicker. The frame that is shown is always from a different clip. Never from the actual source.
I know this is a display problem because I have tried Exporting the timeline with a few of these glitches present and the cut comes out just fine. That is a comforting thought but I do need to see what I am working on.
Please, please help me. Is there a setting i need to change to either the clip or the Canvass? Is this a hardware problem? Am I being a complete amateur? Please help.

I was hoping that wouldn't be what you would say but I was beginning to think the clips were exported wrong. Thanks. Sorry for the double posting. I was having trouble finding this original post. I thought it had been deleted. It has happened before. Not on Apple.com but elsewhere.

  • Wierd lines on my display and frequent lock-ups w/ and w/o display problems

When booting I sometimes get weird lines and blocks on my display (the GRAY Apple screen) and then it hangs, other times the computer will boot and run fine for 20-30 minutes and then the display goes wonkers with blocks and lines and the computer does not respond. The only way I can get it to boot is to reset the PRAM by letting it CHIME 3x and then occasionally it will boot without issue and run, while other times I still get the blocks and lines on the display.
When I am able to get it to recover and re-boot after the lock-up and display problems and occasionally the box in the middle asking me to re-boot similar to a kernel panic the OPS gives me the option to REPORT the error and here is the error for others who would know more...
    Thank you in advance,

Anyone know what is causing my problems? I thought it was heat so I downloaded a CPU and FAN temperature monitor and the CPU was getting VERY HOT at first so I then ramped-up the CPU FAN SPEED to maximum - it turns out the CPU FAN was not rotating well at low speed - since then I have cleaned and checked the fans and they all work as they should and blow on high(er) when the CPU temperature is above a certain level.

Is there a kb article or something that would illuminate what to look for in these logs, or is it a matter of learning by osmosis?
Both. I am not skilled in reading logs. It is a very technical and time consuming task for the uninitiated (me!) In scanning a log I look for the backtrace and loading dependencies. The first item in the backtrace is usually the roadblock.
Beyond that you can look at the Technical Note TN2063: Understanding and Debugging Kernel Panics
Should make for good bedtime reading. Puts you right to sleep.

  • How they can say it's fine when there are so many problems?

I've had my Macbook barely a month, but I've taken it to the store twice for diagnostics, called Apple.com 3 times, erased and reloaded everything, and still have numerous issues despite being told 'it all checks out' and a 'replacement is not indicated'...it has more problems than my 6 yr old Compaq desktop...
It started 20 hrs after purchase when, aften shutting down, the sleep light apparently came on and overheated the computer. It could only be turned on again after taking out the battery. This has happened 4 times, despite being sure I'm proprerly signed out and the screen is dark before shutting. Then once it woulnd't boot up - just showed muclitple colored verticle lines...a call seems to have handled that, but the result is irregularly being able to access the internet, whether thru Safari or Firefox. The address shows in teh URL line but hte screen remains white and blank. Occasionally it freezes in an email, is very delayed in receiving or sending something or loading a page. It's not MSN or my DSL as my old computer is managing this well. It's been very frustrating as all my Mac firend told me how great they were...but I'm afraid this new version with the intel processor has bugs to get worked out. It's at the store as I speak and they tell me it checks out fine, tho I've spent hours dealing with each new bug...and I'm trying to start a business and can't afford the time these issues are taking! Any suggestions? REading the others comments, it doesn't sound like I'm the only one, but am not sure how to advocate at this point.

    A few comments/suggestions:
It started 20 hrs after purchase when, aften shutting
down, the sleep light apparently came on and
overheated the computer. It could only be turned on
again after taking out the battery. This has
happened 4 times, despite being sure I'm proprerly
signed out and the screen is dark before shutting.
I've seen a couple of posts complaining of sleeping MacBooks not really sleeping and becoming very hot when closed. What others have suggested is making very sure that the sleep light is pulsing, to make sure its really asleep, before closing the lid. This is if your intention is to put the machine to sleep, not shut it down completely.
Your use of the term "signed out" makes me wonder if you mean "logged out". Once or twice I have seen my machine pop up a message after I try to log out, that some process has hung, and it refuses to go further. I would imagine there could be a problem if you close the lid in this state. (The process that syncs iDisk was the culprit in the instance I remember.)
If you've completely shut down the machine, I don't know how it could turn itself back on unless there's truly a hardware problem.
Then once it woulnd't boot up - just showed
muclitple colored verticle lines...a call seems to
have handled that, but the result is irregularly
being able to access the internet, whether thru
Safari or Firefox. The address shows in teh URL
line but hte screen remains white and blank.
The refusal to boot up and instead show colored vertical lines is allegedly a problem with OS 10.4.7, which may be permanently fixed by the next OS release.
To temporarily get it to boot, reset the PRAM/NVRAM by holding down the cmd-option-P-R keys while restarting until it chimes twice.
If the problem recurs, to make a fix that "sticks", once you're booted up, change your screen resolution to something else and back again. This writes to PRAM. This has worked for me.
Occasionally it freezes in an email, is very
delayed in receiving or sending something or loading
a page. It's not MSN or my DSL as my old computer is
    managing this well.
If you're running many applications, especially CPU-hungry ones, with limited memory, you might have delays as your email or browser pages in and out of memory. However, I don't notice this on my machine with 512MB, like yours, running several typical apps at once. Running anything under Rosetta, like MS Office, will chew up memory.
Depending on your network hardware, you might try isolating to see if the problem is in your network setup. For example, if your DSL is connected to a router, try a wired ethernet connection straight to your DSL modem and see if the problems go away. Then work logically backwards.
The previous post from nazdarky is describing the "random shutdown problem", but I didn't get from your post that this is one of your problems.

  • Macbook and HP 2510i monitor display problem - help

    Hello,
I am having display problem with my Macbook (Intel) and my 25'' HP 2510i monitor via DVI.. Until last monday I do not have any problems and my monitor was working flawless with my macbook.. Last monday I used the monitor with my HP Notebook to try Windows 8 on large screen. And after that try when I connect the monitor back to Macbook there is no display.. I tried the steps below
    - I connected Macbook to my Phillips Plasma TV and it worked (no error with display card of Macbook or the wire or the adaptor)
    - I connected the monitor back to HP laptop it worked.. (so no error with the monitor)
    - I unplugged monitor to cut electricity and tried.. nope not working
    - I did several tricks with macbook no effect
    - I reinstalled Mountain Lion .. no effect
    - I formatted Macbook, reinstalled Snow Leopard.. Not working.. I installed back Mountain Lion .. not working
Whatever I tried the HP2510i is not displaying, mirroring my Macbook..
    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks
