They can hear me but I can't hear them

I Have a iphone 3g 16gb, starting today i can't hear the caller at any incoming and outgoing call
but they can hear me.
This is not the headphone or BT issue. I can play music through any speaker and when I receive a call, I can't hear the caller.
I fully restored the iphone to new clear apple 2.2 version but with no luck, played with the headphone switch...everything.
please advice

My wife took hers to the AT&T store last night, they wouldn't replace it since she's had it for more than 30 days... they clerk says he has seen the problem a handful of times, and gave her the number to send it back to Apple... she will have to put a new phone on her credit card, then get reimbursed when Apple confirms it's broken. I did a complete restore for her, no change, works fine with all other audio, and she can hear the other speaker during conversation, but no outgoing audio with the headphone... works fine otherwise. I even cleared the 3 apps she had purchased... no difference, so it appears to be a hardware problem.

Try a "reset" (different from restarting).
Hold down on both the Home AND Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo on black screen (about 10 seconds).
When you see the Apple logo on the black screen, let go of both buttons.

I can't receive Video Invites to Ichat with my friend and They can't see them from me.

Ive gotten Ichat and Only have one friend in my contact list (Only friend who has a Mac)
We are both using a MacBook Pro 13" with Lion OSX (I think, The newest software available from Apple)
Anyway back to the point, We cannot seem to recieve invites from one another. Our WebCam Light goes on when we try to send an invite or press that Green Camera button, But we cannot accept or see eachother. We can still chat using messages though. But we want to Video call.
Also My internet does not have a password if this makes any difference. Its just like Wifi.
We both have AIM Accounts and also made a Yahoo account just for experimental purposes only. It still doesn't work either way. Dont know whats wrong.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
You should both enable UPnP as the method ot open ports in your routing device.
If your router Blocks Pings from the Internet you should also disable this (ichat sends s ping to confirm where the visible Invite went to is the place that is replying)

It depends on the clips' content, their current format, and how much you would need to compress them, but in most cases and with most email systems, it's difficult to impossible to compress a clip enough to be able to get it through the attachment size limits of most email providers and still have the video be comprehensible. You'll probably need to find a web site or other method where you could post the videos for download by the students.
You can try compression and trimming, though, and see if you can get the video small enough to email. An attachment often has to be 3MB or less to go through, though it depends entirely on the email systems on both ends. If you look to the right under "more like this" you'll find similar threads on the subject.

My bookmarks are there but i can't see them.

I have bookmarked pages previously, but when i click on the bookmark button there are no bookmarks there, when i try to bookmark them again, it asks if i want to remove this bookmark, so i know they must be there but it won't show them.

Which folder is shown as the location of that bookmark?
You can click the down arrow or plus sign at the far right of the folder line in the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog, that opens if you bookmark that page a second time, to see the full tree list with the folder selected.

Some customers claim they can't open PDF's from my website!

I have my website with weebly - www.pestczar.com and have a list of msds and labels of pesticides that I use and link the individual documents in the emails I send to customers. Some of them claim they can't open them. When I ask them what they do see, most of them say 404 (?) or something about the Reader. What am I doing wrong? "404" errors are "Missing page or file" errors
They have nothing to do with Reader or the files themselves, but rather the link(s) to the files, or something in the viewer's browser, like a cached page in which the displayed links are no longer valid.

Those AREN'T PDF links, so that's not where the problem lies.
It looks like you did a good job of replacing spaces with underscores or hyphens, which can cause issues sometimes (spaces in file names can), so I doubt that's the issue, and the links I hand checked all work. This might be an end user problem.

I am running mac os x 10.5 i can download files from the internet but adobe reader 9 keeps telling me they can not decode them,( Adobe Reader could not open 'dap93.exe' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged) (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). help!

Adobe Reader does not open .EXE files, it opens .PDF files. If you were on Windows I would tell you to fix the file association, but I have no idea how to do that on a Mac.

Tab Access - can I make them disappear?

I have recently started working with the access settings in Portal and am wondering if it's possible to make tabs invisible to users who don't have access to them? (I've noticed that you can make items invisible through item level security)
For example, I have given a specific user access to only 3 out of 7 tabs along the top of my screen. However, when they log on, they are still able to see all 7 tabs - they can't access all of them, but I would rather they can't see them at all.
Is this possible?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

No ringing while connecting to a number on an iphone 5 ATT but they can hear me and I can not hear them.

I have an iphone 5 with ATT and sometimes (very randomly) when making a call, it does not make a ringing sound (like it is not connecting), but it has connected and the other person can hear me but I can't hear them at all. When I do try and say "hello" to see if they can hear me all I hear is my own voice echoing back. Other times the phone conncts and rings immediately and I know then that the call is working.
I actually got it to do this while on the phone on my landline with applecare. I did all of the resets with Apple and they determined it was a hardware problem and I received a new phone. It seemed to be ok, but three days after activating it, the same thing happened. There does not seem to be any common factor. It happens with landlines, cell phones, inside, outside and it does not always do it to the same number twice. It is a complete crap shoot. I have noticed that is it much more likely to happen if I go through "contacts" or "recents" to make the call. It has also happened a few times when using Siri to call. I never know until I don't hear the ringing sound that the call is messed up. This is awful when trying to contact a business and you have to keep calling them back. Anyone else?

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Yes. I did back up the first phone in itunes and updated the new phone with that information. During the diagnostics with apple on the first phone, I did completely wipe the phone clean and it still had the same problem --- again randomly. The technician today did want to do a complete factory reset on this phone but my question is if it is something that I am re-loading on the phone, how do we know what it is?! Also, if the other phone acted up without anything on it before I was hesistant to do it again. It is a lengthy process! I was to try and use the phone without the case (otterbox defender) and see if it would mess up --- which it did. So it's not the case. I am still wondering if it is an ATT/iphone issue. the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

HT4515 Just tried to place a call on my new iPhone5S. I can hear the person I'm calling, they cannot hear me. The microphone icon has a line through it, but tapping the icon does not make a difference.
