Thinlet table in Pocket PC

Trying to determine what cell is clicked in a thinlet table. I'm aware that a cell is not selectable in the table. I tried using the setMethod to pass a thinlet cell java file that permits access to the XML file.
Here's a sample:
cell = thinlet.create("cell");
thinlet.setString(cell, "name", String.valueOf(1) + String.valueOf(i));
thinlet.setString(cell, "text", "some data");
thinlet.add(row, cell);
thinlet.setMethod(table, "action", "getSelectedCell(cell)", row,thinlet);            Actually, I would like to get the column if the cell can't be determine from a mouse click. Is this possible if the mouse click event is overriden?
I'm able to use place the method call in the action attribute of the
XML file, i.e. action="getSelectedCell(item)", which of course returns
the row. However, if is possible to determine what cell is clicked in a table?
any help is appreciated

In an attempt to determine what cell was clicked, the processEvent of the thinlet object has been overriden to capture mouse events. From the mouse event, I've tried using the xy coordinates to determine what cell is clicked. Here's an example.
protected void processEvent(AWTEvent e)
if( e instanceof MouseEvent)
MouseListener listener;
MouseEvent me = new MouseEvent(this, e.x, e.y....);
listener.mouseClicked(me);
super.processEvent(e);
// override mouse event
public void mouseEvent(MouseEvent evt)
Point pnt = evt.getPoint();
Object row = thinlet.getSelectedItem();
Object cells[] = thinlet.getItems(row);
}In the mouseClicked event, I've tried using the x-coordinate to determine the column the cell is in. However, in thinlet it appears that the width of a column can't be retrieved since there's no corresponding height property and the height and width have to both be specified in order to use either????
If I able to get the width a column, this should help determine the column a cell is in.
any help is appreciated.

  • IPhone5 No Service / Searching Issue

    I have an iPhone5 that intermittently loses the network and the screen shows searching.  This issue lasted about a week.  I tried everything from resetting the network connections to restoring the phone to the most recent back-up.  As none of this worked I took the phone in and although Apple couldn't find anything wrong with the phone they replaced it as I was still under my AppleCare+ warranty.  Two hours after setting up the new phone using my most recent backup the issues continued.  I then took the new phone to AT&T for a new SIM card and again about 2 hours later the symptoms reappeared.  Anyone ever heard of this?  Is it possible that there is an App on the phone causing this problem?

    Hi,
    I have the same problem with an iPhone 4 16GB Factory Unlocked. I tried 2 SIM Cards, restored it multiple times, reset network settings, turned phone on and off, airplane mode on and off, upgraded from iOS 4 to 5.0.1, and still have the same problem. The most it kept the signal was up to 9 hours, than it started repeating the problem.
    Sometimes the phone drops signal to one bar and comes back up to full signal; which does not really bother me, since its only about 5 seconds without signal. But the main problem is, when the phone is idle, on the table or pocket (so it is not the case of covering the anntena with hand), it drops the signal and it shows Searching for some seconds and then it says No Service. Sometimes the Airplane Mode On Off works or Turning Phone On and Off. Additionally, the problem also occurs with using the phone with other apps.
    I don't have an Apple Store in my country, and the local phone repairs said that we can't do anything. One phone repair shop said it must be a hardware problem, and that he can TRY to fix it (the part try was a little risky for me).
    Phone was never dropped to ground or anything of that nature. The reception of signal from local carriers is very strong all around the city.
    Any help is really appreciated.

  • Widgets and beans

    hello,
    Before I begin using thinlet for NetBeans, I just have a couple questions.
    I currently have an CDC/PP (JSR-62) application using primarily AWT. The app has a custom AWT table. The table, however, has a couple of packages that prevents the app from running, such as Print.
    I'm wondering if I can use a thinlet table in the app w/ the other AWT components? I know that the thinlet is based on AWT but is combining the two feasible?
    any help is appreciated.

    In fact your model is a HashMap with various keys? I've written a
    EMF-like Model-Object and created an Databinding-implementation for it.
    It's part of a bigger framework I'm currently working on [1] but because
    I've split everything into small pieces you can use the UBean [2][3]

    Well you need to know which UI-Widget you create right? So you must have
    a test already (e.g. if( isText(node) ) { new Text() }) so creating the
    correct UI-Observable isn't the problem, right?

  • Making calls that I don't have the numbers for....

    We switched to Verizon mid 2010.  We got new phones, but kept our numbers.  My husband's phone called a phone number that is not saved in his phone without his knowledge, twice.  Has this happened to anyone before?  How can we make sure it doesn't happen again.  The number that was called was not someone we wanted to call ever again...thanks.

    How did his phone "call a phone number without his knowledge"? By itself, just sitting on a table? Pocket dialing? If the number is not in his contact list, I'm confused how it was dialed "without his knowledge" - and how did you discover it had been called?
    I'm confused...if we know more of HOW it happened, it would help to prevent it from happening again. I don't understand how the phone could call a number the way you describe....

    Probably not, since user-caused damage isn't covered by the warranty. But you can take the iPhone to an Apple Store and see if there's anything they can do for you. A phone company store will not service your iPhone at all, to the best of my knowledge.

  • HT4528 New iPhone 5c is "pocket" and "table top" dialing calls and facetime.

    This is my third iPhone.  I had a six month old iPhone 5 and we switched family plans.
    My phone is seriously out of control.  It pocket called my adult son, a medical student, twice when he was in a meeting with his dean.  It FaceTimed him during rounds.  It Facetimed my daughter when she was sound asleep.  My two other iPhones would very occasionally do this, but it wasn't a problem.
    My daughter accidently called me in the middle of the night.  I put the phone on the bedstand and did not touch it, and it called my husband's fax number.  No one was touching it.  Could it be reacting to voice command?
    I've been alone the other times, dragging in groceries and it's dialing people in my pocket.  I set up the passcode, but that doesn't seem to help, as long as it's active I can't depend on this phone.
    It is my first time with iOS 7.1

  • Error while entering values in table.

    Hi All,
    I have a quantity field in table having data type as dec and length as 13 and decimal places as 5.
    But when i enter 255 in table,it automatically changes to .255 but it should be 255.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Amanpreet Sehgal

    hi
    check this one
    For calculations in business applications, use packed numbers. The program attribute Fixed point arithmetic affects calculations using packed numbers.
    If the program attribute Fixed point arithmetic is not set, type P fields are interpreted as integers without decimal places. The decimal places that you specify in the DECIMALS addition of the TYPES or DATA statement only affect how the field is formatted in the WRITE statement.
    DATA: PACK TYPE P DECIMALS 2.
    PACK = '12345'.
    WRITE PACK.
    If the program attribute Fixed point arithmetic is not set, the output is as follows:
    123.45
    If the program attribute Fixed point arithmetic is set, the output is as follows:
    12,345.00
    If the Fixed point arithmetic attribute is set, the decimal places are also taken into account in arithmetic operations. Calculations with packed numbers in ABAP use the same arithmetic as a pocket calculator. Intermediate results are calculated using up to 31 digits (before and after the decimal point). You should therefore always set the Fixed point arithmetic attribute when you use type P fields.
    DATA: PACK TYPE P.
    PACK = 1 / 3 * 3.
    WRITE PACK.
    If you have not set the Fixed point arithmetic attribute, the result is 0, since the calculation is performed using integer accuracy, and the result is therefore rounded internally to 0.
    If the program attribute Fixed point arithmetic is set, the result is 1 because the result of the division is stored internally as 0.333333333333333333333333333333 with an accuracy of up to 31 digits.

  • PDF quality issues on Adobe Reader for Pocket PC 2.0

    The quality of PDF's rendered by Adobe Reader 2.0 PPC is awful when compared to Adobe Reader LE. We are running it on HTC X7500's with a nice 5" display, but you have to zoom in +5x to read the text on our parts manuals, where as LE renders the same manual crisply and sharply and you don't have to zoom in at all to read the text. Unfortunately we use a lot of hyperlinks, forms and annotations in our documents which are only available with AR2.0PPC and not LE or indeed any of the other 3rd party readers (FoxitReader, PocketXPDF or Clearvue).
    I'm assuming that this is down to anti-aliasing methods used, and that AR2.0PPC has not been updated for four years!
    Are we likely to see a version of Adobe Reader for Pocket PC with the quality of LE? or have Adobe given up on developing this platform?

    >>> Our techs have been using the HTC Blueangel (Same as the I-Mate pictured on your site), and although the image rendered by Adobe Reader was quite sharp, the size of the screen meant you were continually zooming in and out of pages to find the appropriate parts. So weve chosen the HTC X7500 as a replacement because of its 5 screen (amongst other reasons). <<
    Ho Kay... have looked at the file and, based on the general layout (drawings with part# references) don't think you can get there from here.
    Back to the basic goal, a couple of thoughts based on the assumption that your company is generating these pdf's and needs pda access to them.
    Perhaps the part# references can be hyperlinked so the tech could tap the part# on the image and go to a table entry with all of the info on that specific part.
    In that case, html would be a better format for navigation since, afaik, there does not seem to be a <back> button in reader.

    Any suggestions as to how this can be resolved?
    It seems just a silly small issue, but I'm worlking on site with customers using my PocketPC for documentation and I just get driven nuts as I have to close every time the pop-up box alerting me that the font is missing!!

  • Lumia 620 turns itself off (in pocket)

  • Calling Remote Stored Procedure from Pocket PC

    Hi all,
    I have finished building an application based on IBM's SMF framework which conforms to the OSGI standards. Currently, I am having a problem with connecting to the main server DB which resides on a Websphere server. Basically, user will enter information on their pocket pc and then save it to a local DB2e database. I thought about going with the synchronization solution with the DB2 Sync server, but really all the user is trying to do is updating records in the main server database tables and there's really no need to sync anything back from the server to the pocket pc. So, I m thinking maybe I should try to invoke a stored procedure that resides on the main DB server from my device, passing in parameters through a WLAN connection.
    My question now is:
    1. user should be connecting through a WLAN connection and my company have set up a login that prompts the user to login everytime they try to access anything on the server. It won't be nice if the user will hv to do that every single time. Is there a way that I can log the user in programmatically so they do not have to do it with a separate log in window?
    2. Is calling a remote stored procedure a bad idea?
    3. If the network goes down, then there's no way the users can update anything to the main server DB. So, the changes will be saved locally and once the network goes back up, the user should be able to update those changes back to the server. I am just wondering if it's bad to do a loop and send those updates to the server by calling the stored procedures repeatedly passing in diff. parameters? what safeguards do I need to put in? like what exceptions should I expect to catch? also, I would like to be able to track those updates that failed, how do I do that?
    Any help will be appreciated. I tried to find resources online, but to no avail. I am not sure if I am overly complicated things. Please advice! Thanks alot everyone!

    The error message is:

  • TABLESPACE cleanup not happening after table data delete

    Hi all
    I have a partitioned table with 4 partitions all residing in a single tablespace. I populated the table with sample data and then deleted all with a simple delete statement followed by a commit. But the tablespace is still showing data from the 4 partitions under the bytes column in query below:
    select segment_name, partition_name, tablespace_name, bytes
    from dba_segments
    where tablespace_name='tb_name'
    Am I missing something here? Do I need to run some other command after delete and commit to fully flush out the data?
    FYI, my system specs are:
    Windows 2008 Server Standard (32-bit)
    ORACLE 11.1.0.7.0

    HI,
    LMT is Locally Managed Tablespace.
    +Moreover, when you say the blocks will not be available immediately when do you reckon they will be available? How do I go about automating this to free up space as soon as data is deleted?+
    You cannot automate this job, this is already automated by Oracle.
    +FYI, both pct_free and pct_used come up as empty values for my table.+
    reason for a NULL-value for PCT_USED is that the tablespace where the table resides uses automatic segments space management (ASSM). With ASSM there is no need for PCT_USED only for PCT_FREE. Oracle manages blocks automatically.
    You dont worry about releasing the space, Oracle will take care of it automatically.

    This is an extract form Oracle docs
    Understanding Reclaimable Unused Space
    Over time, updates and deletes on objects within a tablespace can create pockets of empty space that individually are not large enough to be reused for new data. This type of empty space is referred to as fragmented free space.
    Objects with fragmented free space can result in much wasted space, and can impact database performance. The preferred way to defragment and reclaim this space is to perform an online segment shrink. This process consolidates fragmented free space below the high water mark and compacts the segment. After compaction, the high water mark is moved, resulting in new free space above the high water mark. That space above the high water mark is then deallocated. The segment remains available for queries and DML during most of the operation, and no extra disk space need be allocated.
    You use the Segment Advisor to identify segments that would benefit from online segment shrink. Only segments in locally managed tablespaces with automatic segment space management (ASSM) are eligible. Other restrictions on segment type exist. For more information, see "Shrinking Database Segments Online".
    If a table with reclaimable space is not eligible for online segment shrink, or if you want to make changes to logical or physical attributes of the table while reclaiming space, you can use online table redefinition as an alternative to segment shrink. Online redefinition is also referred to as reorganization. Unlike online segment shrink, it requires extra disk space to be allocated. See "Redefining Tables Online" for more information.Regards,

  • Dropdown list behaviour - (Adobe Pocket PC)

    Hi there,
    I am using Designer 8.2 to generate an Interactive Form using ABAP. A dropdown list is filled with almost 1000 entries. This forms works OK by opening it with Adobe Reader 9. The problem comes when I tried to use it in a mobile device, Motorola MC75, WM6.1.
    The form and even the dropdown list opens ok, but when I select certain items from the dropdown and the field looses its focus, the item changes by itself, normally to an item at the bottom of the list.
    I couldn't find any pattern whatsoever that gives me a hint about this problem.
    Has anybody run into something similar?
    Is there any special consideration in populating a table used as a source of a dropdown regarding the Item Code and Item Text?
    Thanks a lot for any help!
    Cheers,
    Andres.

    Hi Otto,
    Yes, backend is OK. I even tested it in a mobile phone that has the same problem.
    Javascript, good catch! Adobe Reader for Pocket PC doesn't support Javascript and I have to say, I also found some limitations with Formcalc.
    We're in touch with the provider of the devices, and even talked with Adobe Australia, but with no luck.
    It was helpful to read your answers tough. Makes me see that I tried almost everything I can think of.
    Hi Robert, nice work you had to do!
    You're right about the limitation, which is 50 and applies for Java WD and Online Interactive Forms. It's setting within the SAP Visual Administrator. There are several threads devoted to this. I don't think this is the case for me, as I alredy checked it. The issue remains with only 25 items!
    I finally give up and blame the "Pocket PC + Adobe Reader for Pocket PC + Adobe Interactive Offline Form" combination. There is a lack of support for this, and it's a shame because it could have a great potential.
    I replace those dropdowns with radiobuttons (weird, but works for my requirement) and leave a couple of dropdowns that haven't given me any problem so far, fingers crossed.
    I will leave the thread open for a few days, in case any of you SAP gurus want to share more.
    Cheers!
    Andres.
