Third Party ADF Application

Hi,
I want to create third party ADF Application from Project server 2010 Database. I have Project Server 2010 as a SQL Server Database.
I want to create Timesheet Application in ADF and read and write data to Project server 2010 (SQL Server Database).
Anybody has any suggestion how I can achieve this?

You should be able to access SQL Server databases from ADF using regular ADF BC see:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/multidatabaseapp-085183.html
Depending on what APIs and interfaces Project server 2010 exposes (things like web services etc) - there might be other ways.

Currently we are running the following versions...
    O\S Windows Server 2003
    JRE 1.4.2_11
    JDK 1.4.2_11
Should the JRE \ JDK be patched with tzupdater utility in case of running the third party java application?

You don't have to apply tzupdater tool.
Already JDK1.4.2.11 have the updated DST Time Zone Entries.

  • Integrate SAP BI with third party Java application

I want to display reports from SAP BI to third party java application. I have found many javadocs, but have not found any document that helps with this problem.

    Not much information provided.
    BO Version?
    Reports in question?
There are different set of SDKs for different reports. Also there might be changes in the API's between different BO products.
As suggested by Jawahar, its better if you post your query to SDK forum for better response as it is the dedicated forum for BusinessObjects Java SDK queries.

  • Calling IPC from a third party web application

    ISA, IPC experts,
We have CRM 4.0 with IPC 4.0. We are developing an in house web application  in jsp/java for dealer orders. Our office staff uses CRM Online for Order Entry.
We want to use the existing pricing procedures in the IPC to derive the pricing for the web project so our user can see the price for a given product prior to placing the order in CRM.
How can we call IPC from a third party order software in java? prefereably without installing a standalone IPC (heard that IPC 5.0 may not support standalone mode)?
Can you help us with ways to call the IPC from our in house web application, or point us to some documentation about the ipc client layer?
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Yanhui Yu

    Hi Yanjui,
if you have a CRM installation, an IPC is part of that installation. Connect your web application to that IPC. The IPC comes with its own web applications, which base on a package com.sap.spc.remote.client.object. These are APIs that you might consider using in your web application. The package should be documented with the API docs that come with your web apps, but I'm not sure about how this is delivered (sorry).
Concerning upgradability to CRM 5.0: The IPC there does not come as its own server anymore, but offers ABAP RFC functions that are actually implemented in Java using new Netweaver technology. The 5.0 RFCs are similar, but not identical to the old IPC commands / RFCs, so an upgrade is no problem, but some changes are required. The same applies for com.sap.spc.remote.client.object, which has changed a bit as a result of the changes in the IPC APIs below.
Alternatively to using com.sap.spc.remote.client.object, you might also try to directly call the RFC functions of the IPC server. Finding out what the various parameters that you have to pass do is not too tricky:
    - in your IPC installation, a file <ipc>/lib/properties/servercommands.xml contains all RFCs that the IPC knows.
    - for the RFC you want to use check the respective javaname in that file.
    - for that javaname check class com.sap.spc.remote.server.command.<javaname> in the javadoc API Documentation that is part of your IPC installation. This will contain rather technical details on how to call the RFCs.
Please be aware that it's not an easy job providing all the data that IPC needs to do pricing.
I would recommend using the E-Commerce application which has done this job for you already.
    Best regards,
    Karlheinz

  • HOW COULD CONNECT FROM SAP SYSTEM TO THIRD PARTY JAVA APPLICATION

    HI expects,
HOW COULD CONNECT FROM SAP SYSTEM TO THIRD PARTY JAVA or . DET APPLICATION.please provide me some scenarios and documents.please help me.

    Hi,
In the sender side i.e. in SAP system you can use IDoc/RFC/Proxy to push the data to XI.
IDoc supports only Async communication and in Sync case performace is good using Proxy.
In the receiver side you can use Java Proxy to connect to the Java application or you can even bulid a webservice over the Java/.Net application and use SOAP adapter to post data to it.
    Thanks

Mac OS X 10.5, Ink: Handwriting recognition cannot be enabled
    Last Modified: July 28, 2011
    Article: TA25180
    Old Article: 307372
This article has been archived and is no longer updated by Apple.
    Products Affected
Mac OS X 10.5, Mac OS Components
    Issue or symptom
You might not be able to enable Handwriting recognition in Ink preferences (in System Preferences). This may occur on some Macs that shipped with Leopard pre-installed.
    Solution
Use this workaround to enable handwriting recognition:
From the Finder's Go menu, choose Utilities.
    Open Terminal.
Carefully type (or paste) the following command, then press Return.
    sudo rm /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.IntlDataCache*
Enter your admin password if prompted for it.
Type or paste the following command in Terminal, then press Return.
    sudo rm /var/folders/*/*/-Caches-/com.apple.IntlDataCache*
Type or paste the following command in Terminal, then press Return.
    rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.ink*
    Restart the computer.
It didn't work and has crippled my OCR software into the bargin. Any solutions?

Restore the bootable backup/clone of your previous installation or your Time Machine backup. BTW, the rm command action is otherwise irreversible.

You can have many presets giving variations of bitdepth and colourspace, for different program executables.

  • External web service provided by third party application

    Hi all,
Hope to clarify some doubts on usage of Enterprise Service Repository. I understand that ESR is the storage of service interfaces that may be provided or consume by different systems in the landscape.
If a business process is required to consume an external web service that is provided by a third party application on some web server, does the ESR stores the definition of the web service and provides it to the business process?
Is ESR only a repository for service interfaces that would be implemented by the internal systems?
    Regards

I was looking to confirm my understanding about defining external webservices in Enterprise Repository few weeks back. Though i did not get proper confirmation any one yet on this forum, here is my understanding,
    1. One can define the service interface for the third party webservice in Enterprise Service Repository for the purposes of keeping track of available services in the organization and also to provide some documentation about it for other developers looking to reuse it.
    2. One can also import the WSDL as external definition in to Enterprise Service Repository.
    3. We may not be able to generate proxies for these third party provided applications

  • WVC54G setup for third party applications and also firmware query.

I have resurrected someone's old WVC54G and installed it to work initially wirelessly to my netwark and then my Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I did an initial reset, then set up the ip address etc. to the system here, and everything seems to  work even though the viewer and recorder software installer gave a Windows error message.
I'd like to be able to look at the camera via the VLC viewer application, and I see from another posting here that this should work.  Is there a guide anywhere showing how to do this? Ideally I'd like to understand how to interface the camera so that I can test various third party camera applications.
Also, the Linksys setup software says the firmware version is V5.10, Feb 21, 2005, which seems a much higher number than it should be. Is this right?

Try downloading the viewer and recorder utility from the linksys website under the download section which is pretty user friendly.
To view it in VLC player, you can use the option 'open url' in file menu and type in http://your camera's IP
The latest FW for wvc54g is ver. 2.11. The version you have mentioned might be software version.

  • SSO to third party in EP 7.0 (SP-21)

    Folks,
Could you please advise if we can do SSO to third party vendor using SAML/SAP logon Ticket in EP 7.0 (SP-21).
Let me explain a bit: We have EP 7.0 (SP-21), after initial logon to portal we can access backend SAP ECC6/BI applications (WebDynpro/ITS..). We would like to bring few third party vendor applications into Portal (content area) as single sign on using SAML/SAP logon Ticket
I had a chance to look into this presentation:
2009 SIM201 Next Generation SSO for SAP Applications with SAML 2.0
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/shop?rid=/media/uuid/106df189-4d83-2c10-82a4-c0643a8bf57b
It talks about EP 7.2. Can you advsie if we can do SSO to third party vendor using SAML/SAP logon Ticket in EP 7.0 (SP-21).
    Thanks in advance.
    Moin.

    Hi Oliver,
    You have the following options:
    1. The user exists in NW 7.3 but has different user id than the one in the SAML2 assertion provided by the 3rd party system
For this check the following documentation link: [documentation about out-of-band account linking|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/a9/e287475d544cdaa63e884180d6c23f/frameset.htm]
    - if the email is available on both systems - the one that issues the assertion and NW 7.3 then try to use Email NameID format
    - you may also maintain user mapping in NW 7.3 in additional user attribute
    2. Same as #1 but you want that the user links both accounts when first logged in with SAML2
For this check the following documentation link: [documentation about interactive account linking|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/97/4e80f86ccb43419a545c672a6bb2e3/frameset.htm]
    3. The user has not account on NW 7.3 and such has to be created on the fly based on the information (assertion attributes) in the assertion (automatic account creation)
For this check the following documentation link: [documentation about automatic account creation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/97/4e80f86ccb43419a545c672a6bb2e3/frameset.htm]
    4. Use temporary in-memory users
For this check the following documentation link: [documentation about identity federation with transient users|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/fd/ecb2b33922414e8ad01763c84b3349/frameset.htm]
Could you provide more details about your scenario and which option seems to be relevant to it? Once we can identify which one is relevant we can discuss further details.

  • IOS 8 Missing third party keyboards in some apps

I have iOS 8.02 installed on an iPhone 5S. Have also installed third-party keyboard applications (Swype, Swiftkey, Minuum), however, they only appear in some of the applications. The third-party keyboards are missing from the Messages, Notes and Reminders applications. It works perfectly in Mail and Safari. This same issue occurred with IOS 8.0.
I have installed the same keyboards on another iPhone 5s and an iPad 3,  on these devices the keyboards work perfectly on all applications. These are using IOS 8.0.
Have tried uninstall, reinstalls and resetting the device. Also did a restore and device reset and nothing seems to fix this.
    Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. IPhone 5S has third party keyboards working in safari but not other apps (8.02). IPad with 8.02 has them working everywhere. Any ideas?

  • Access to my Office 365 third-party app for external user : "a User account is not registered for the account"

In my third-party web application of Office 365, I want to have access to the contacts, events and emails of all the users from the organizations who installed my app. The thing is I don't want that all these users have to grant me access, I just want one
admin of the org to grant access for my app and then be able to retrieve the data I need for all the users.
To test for one organization, I logged in as the admin and proceed to the Oauth2 authentication to retrieve the access token and in the first request (the GET one to retrieve an authorization code) i add the parameter
    prompt=admin_consent.
With this access token, I can access the data (emails, contact, event) of the admin
    for instance for the contacts
    uri: https://outlook.office365.com/ews/odata/Users(adminemail)/Contacts
but not the data of the other users of this org with this uri
    uri: https://outlook.office365.com/ews/odata/Users(useremail)/Contacts
The only thing I can do is retrieve an access token for each user but it supposed that each user has to authorize the access to the app but it's very cumbersome. So, i don't see what enables the parameter prompt=admin_consent and how to use it. Does anybody
    know what it does?
And my question is: how can I do to access the data of all the users of one organization when the access has been granted by one admin?
    Thank you!

This was answered on StackOverflow by Dushyant Gill.  http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25316175/access-to-my-office-365-third-party-app-for-external-user-a-user-account-is-n/25316678#25316678
You are sending the OAuth request to a tenant specific endpoint of Azure AD. Note the {key_provided} part of your Url - that part represents the tenantid or a registered domain name of an Azure AD tenant. Azure AD throws this error is the user signing in
is not a user in that tenant.
Multi-tenant applications like yours have two options:
Perform home realm discovery yourself and send the SSO request to the correct tenant-specific endpoint of Azure AD: when a new Azure AD organization signs-up for your application, record its tenant ID, and registered domain names. On your login page, ask
the user for their email and try to discover what Org they belong to using the suffix the email.
Use the common endpoint of Azure AD. Instead of the {key_provided} part of the URL, use 'common'. In this case Azure AD will determine the user's tenant and sign-in the user. The token that your application will receive will still be from the user's tenant
    (iss claim).
2 is more convenient for apps. However #1 has an advantage when the user's Organization has customized their sign-in page with the company logo etc - in the case of #1 the user will directly be taken to the customized and familiar sign-in page.
I recommend a combination of the two: try determining the user's organization and sending them to the tenant specific SSO endpoint. If you're not able to - send them to the common endpoint.

  • Connection of TREX and Third Party WebApplication

    Hello,
we need detailed information how to access TREX 6.1 by a Third Party Web Application. The scenario can be described as follows:
We want to to enter a search query into the Third Party Web Application and send the query to TREX. Therefore we want to know whether we need a gateway or interface. Additionally we need to know the query syntax to make TREX understand what shall be searched for. The main questions is: How can we submit the search query to the trex web server? Finally we have to interpret the answer. Here are the main questions: How does the answer look like (format)? And which information will be delivered?
Please don't link us to KM Indexmanagement APIs for search with TREX!
    Regards
    Steffen

    Thank you very much, Karsten!
Your answer came as quick as a flash I do not really miss a thing at the KM IMS, but this question was a customers challenge. So I have to explain that Java or ABAP is needed inevitably to access the records of an index or rather perfom a getRecord-functionality with documents stored in TREX.
    Best regards
    Steffen
